I think the function of religion is to set standards to mankind and serve as a rule book that will tell us all whether what we are doing is good or bad and should be accepted by society or not. Religion's intent is pure and good. However, there are misinterpretation of the people inserted to the beliefs which conflicts the idea of goodness. That is why there are problems.

Of course religion are for keep people in fear and manipulative herd, also maybe for meeting young boys when you over 40, but that probably just a nice bonus.

I would not agree that religions are hoaxes, I think most of people in the "bona fide delusion", people wouldn't die or blow themselves if they wouldn't actualy belive in a kind.

at the moment religion exists simply to control people...I think that there is no mention of God and even of morality

Our religion is supposedly just our guide, it will supposedly not dictate us of what we have to do and should not be like a financial obligation. This has something that we will be doing voluntarily.

The function of religion is to teach and preach the word of God

I believe in God but I don't believe in every religion because that is just made by people, we can pray at home and religions can never saved us from anything. Faith with God more powerful than religions.

Religion does two things:

I think there are 3 Religious Functions namely:
1.As a means of education.

2. As a tool for social.

The function of religion is to rule the people. That's it. People in religions are full of hypocrites who don't follow what they preach.

everyone knows if the religion as an example of goodness. religion has teachings that make someone avoid crime. that's why halal and haram, good and bad is exist in this world to decide what choice will be our choice

the function of religion is to share the good news to the people and be a good example to their community and its people.
