There gonna be another batch w/ chips?

I am confused, why is it still for sale on ur site if cant get board + chips anymore?
Or is both chips + board assembled still avail for purchase @ 1100...
What we're selling on the website is just a full board, add a cooler and power supply and you're good to go. We still have some of those available from batch one. We're also looking at a second batch following a little more than a week behind.
The assembly service is a little more complicated to set up since we need to have a good conversation with the customers about timelines, whether chips are in hand, getting them to us in time, things like that. That cutoff has past so customers with chips in hand would get taken care of in the second batch now.

Too late to join on the first batch?
For getting chips mounted, yes. For just buying a board, there are still some available.

Is it too late to get into batch 1?

We can squeak you in if you can get your order in by tonight.

So people who don't do pre orders will not have opportunity to buy ?
I was putting off purchase of ANTs since I have heard of your product.

Truly disappointed that you didn't clarify that you will try to sell BATCH 1 on pre orders and have no plans to sell of the shelf product Sad

Why did you do that ?
I think there might be some confusion here, which is probably our fault. I'm not sure on Swimmer's case, but we have two types of customers. One is buying retail boards; the other is getting us to mount their chips (purchased or settlement) onto boards. The latter has a hard deadline on when they can get chips to us, while the former more subject to us being out of stock.

We obviously only have a limited stock of boards that we'll be making in any one batch and so it's possible that they could all sell out prior to shipping, but that hasn't happened yet. Preorders are better for us and lets us expand the batch size, but there aren't any plans to do only preorders. Ideally we'd like to move to more continuous production, but that will be a little down the road after more growth.

There should be some stock get added once the batch is done though. We're being conservative in our yield estimates, so we'll probably find we have more boards to sell once we get get through the batch see what the actual numbers are.

Mr. Teal - so had I ordered in time for Batch 1, when would my board have shipped?  Retail board - your chips.
We'll have boards coming off the line next week, though the number that will get through program and test is uncertain at this point. Conservatively say the week after that. We haven't sold all the retail boards from batch 1 though, so there are some still available.

Mr. Teal,

Can you provide:

(1) a table or graph showing hash rate x power consumption x clock speed (for your board, not the chip).

(2) a picture of the back of the board showing the back side heatsink and dimensions of the board and heatsink together?

Thanks!

I don't think his post means what you think his post means.

Grin well, sort of diplomatic answer from MrTeal.
If I understand it correctly it can take months until some of the boards might be available(people don't buy as many as they predicted). Small batches of 20 boards will sell quickly. Of course batches can be bigger but they are primarily focused on selling as much as possible through pre orders. Which is inevitable unless you have a lot of cash available to buy boards and chips and sell of the shelf.

Now I know that I should have bought Ants 1 1/2 month ago.

Thank you very much MrTeal for explanation.

So I might end up never buying miner by looks of it ?  Sad
Lesson learned.

Thank you and good luck  Smiley

AMC has in stock units with apparently fast shipping, 999 for up to 750GH/s (+/-20%)

Your best bet for cooling should be a Corsair i80 or above, as watercooling is superior in this high density environment.

That's sweet.

Do you guys plan to have a suggested cooling and power system to get the most out of the board?

A quick fun little thing while we're getting everything together (the PCBs came in today, yay!)
I didn't like the noise in my office while working, so I've been downclocking the one I have in here during the day. I mixed it up today though, just to see how far I could push it.

Running at 450MHz (theoretically ~345Gh/s, getting just under 340GH/s poolside), and pulling 241W from the wall. That's 0.71J/GH at the wall, air cooled.

HF has also updated their blog post to clarify our relationship with them and that its purely a licensee instead of a partner which can be misconstrued as something completely different.

Anyhow back to normal, look for some more pics and maybe a video this week of the Habanero.  I also have my 2nd board which Ill be spending time profiling to see how far I can push it before I see black smoke Smiley

Because it's sterile...

We just saw this article today, and felt the need to clarify a few points in it as they did spend a little time talking about Pepper Mining but never even fired off an email to us, and some of the information therein has been a little damaging to us.

https://peppermining.com/response-to-ars-technica-article/

Long story short, Pepper Mining is not based in California and we do not have a partnership agreement with HashFast other than the HDK agreement we signed back in the early spring to be a licensee that can make boards based on their chips. They did say they were planning on doing a blog post about us, but the new and fancy sounding Premier Design Partner label for board designers is news to us and there is not any sort of business partnership between the two companies.

Very elegant and to the point. A+  I do not understand why some journalist do not get the entire story or are so concerned with gitting the "dig" they simiply ignore some important details.
