At its current cap I think that is a wise choice in many ways.
I had no idea about the market cap of Byteball. Just checked it, currently it is ~$73M, which, I agree, is not so large. This, in combination with the relatively high circulating supply (more than 60 percent of the total supply), is what makes this cryptocurrency a really good investment choice.

I didn't know the results but my immediate choice was Byteball, which happens to be the most popular project on your list currently. What I like the most is the technological breakthrough Byteball is trying to pull off. I don't know whether their blockchain can be sustained in the long run without any significant centralization, but I'm rooting for them one way or the other.

At its current cap I think that is a wise choice in many ways. Although several great projects remain hidden in the sea of crap on here.

It seems that most of altcoins are dropped by money flow is flowing in bitcoin because people think that they will receive a new coin for next hardfolk. I exchanged my all altcoins to BTC and just keep Ripple and Ethereum.

the last hardforks were hardly worth it though

I have another opinion, I didn't choose those coin on that list. I observed a coin which has good progress. The coin is XCPO, for me it will as big as ethereum because the developer of this coin is still active to make their coin price up.

Come on guys it is not a matter of not choosing a coin on this list because you support a different project.

This thread is concerning REAL TIME TESTED PROVEN PROJECTS that have done something significant for themselves.

The project needs to meet the criteria in the OP.

xcpo could very well be interesting but you need to publish why in the context of the criteria in the OP.
Nobody knows REAL TIME TESTED PROVEN PROJECTS  Roll Eyes

Can you expand on this comment. I would like to know exactly what you mean? Do you mean that crypto is to young to have time tested projects including btc or something else?

100's of 1000s of users and only 300 votes. I wonder what we can make of this?

I'd say there's a pretty strong use case in buying coffee (or paying for ride share coordinated via DApp) with crypto and not having to stand around for a minute or more awaiting block confirmation, nor deal with an exorbitant transaction fee.

An asset/token platform that facilitates zero-confirmation instant transactions at high throughput with PoW double-spend protection is most ideal.

As such, Syscoin all the way.  Syscoin 3 utilizes Z-DAG (masternode enabled transaction DAG relay) among other unique technologies, solving many longtime challenges faced by blockchain tech.  It is, in and of itself, the best suited protocol for point-of-sale, without resorting to external layers like Lightning Network, or otherwise compromising decentralization, in order to compensate for inefficient design.

Instant transactions at minuscule (hundredths of a penny) fees.  High throughput.  Horizontal and vertical scalability.  BOOM.

LN should take care of that.

But for sure sys is a top tier alt and one of only a handful I would hold aside from btc. I aim to increase my sys pot along with 6 other alts this year.

BELA team will open Belacam this July. You can simply earn money by posting photos. BELA did not have ICO and very undervalued token.

Blocknet no doubt about it.

SPV is just DONE!!!!!!!!

another great project - when it is fully 100% functioning.
I would say that's a top 10 project with some reasonable adoption.

Blocknet is a very good project.

Their integration discussion with the Syscoin Team got my attention.  Both quite thorough and forward-thinking projects with no shortage of use cases.  It's nice to see two good teams work together so openly and willingly.  Here's the video...   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MhZ4V3GIcoo

SYS definitely stands out to me.
Steem is good and could be great someday.
Also, BELA is one to keep an eye on. It will release Belacam for public use very soon (i'm in closed testing group and it's quite good).
KMD imho is a wild-card. It could be huge, or flop completely, depending on which course crypto tech takes. But looks good so far.

Disclaimer: this is all IMHO, and i own all the coins above.

Just throwing this in here to spark some discussion. I've been following your thread from the beginning and have learned a lot. With the criteria you designated, you have highlighted some excellent alts that are truly worth believing in. But may I respectfully say that perhaps one other criteria should have been added to your list: solid/concerted effort to market the alt to investors.

It's an unfortunate truth that with the lack of awareness of what these alts can bring to the table, they could fade into obscurity. Meanwhile, crap, flash alts make a killing because they pumped most of their money into marketing rather than actually developing their products. My point is, can you really call an alt a REAL prospect if it never really achieves its full potential due to a lack of investor interest?

You are 100% correct.

However if I were to add this criteria then I would need to remove a good many of these solid alts and which would mean they have even less chance of being noticed in the sea of dreams and talk shit projects that are in the spot light due to investor ignorance and shrewd marketeers with no coding and design skills.

I believe we must rely on investors wising up since the best coders and developers seem to be dreadful at marketing with the exception of perhaps eth and a couple of others that have already hit the big time.
