I usually gamble when I'm calm and feel positive. Being calm and positive helps me to execute my strategies successfully which brings me successful winnings. I see gambling as a way of entertaining my self so I mostly enjoy when I'm playing. And I do not mostly gamble when I'm down or not feeling okay because it will just affect more when I play, I'd feel more stress and frustrated, especially when I don't have winnings. Good point, I mentioned that in a previous response, and it's clear, maybe the writer wasn't aware of this, but to some extent we'd have to know his meaning behind the statement, or the context of the write up.
