I know when people starting to gambling because they want to earn money and if possible won with huge amount of money so this is the major reason why people want to gamble and some people doesn't accept their loses so that's why they are feeling frustrated because always lost in gambling and eventually they were committed suicide or crimes but in my opinion by considers gambling for fun and entertaining and change their mainset about gambling meaning then it can causes people to make self awarness and avoiding negative things from gambling because they have realize it's hard to make profit from gambling but indeed considers gambling for fun is hard part to do so even probably only small number of people who can successful to change their mainset

I couldn't agree more with those gamblers saying that they gamble just for fun because the truth is that people gamble in the hope of multiplying their money. But from what we have witnessed and seeing the sentiment of the majority, we definitely see that they feel disappointed when losing. Which is not really the behavior of gamblers who just think about entertaining themselves. A real gambler never seeks winning but pleasure and fun.

Hearing the news that some people committed suicide and crimes can also prove that my statement is right. Maybe I'm wrong, but what I've seen is enough to say that gamblers are here for money, not for fun.

I also wanted to hear opinions from others.
What's the definition of "real" in this one? Because for me, it's a vague term to describe a gambler.
You mean, if a gambler is gambling for fun they're considered "REAL" gamblers? What if I'm gambling for the hopes of making more money, am I not considered a "REAL" gambler then? It's a vague and I don't think it's the correct term to describe a gambler.

Whether they're gambling for fun, or gambling for entertainment, at the end of the day, they're both gamblers. I don't need to share the definition of a gambler here, but the point is people are gambling for various reasons and they're making bad or stupid decisions based on the outcome when they gambled. Some committed suicide because they can't take the L in gambling. Some lost their money but they're fine because they're gambling just for fun. We can't also remove the fact that there are way more gamblers out there that are gambling because they want to multiply their money.

If you look at the sentiment of people who feel disappointed when they lose, they may have spent a lot of money on gambling but did not get a commensurate win.

They also already have different goals at the beginning and just want to get a win, But if one only aims to find entertainment there will definitely be a restriction on the use of money to gamble and will not mind when losing and losing the money the important thing is that the main goal of entertaining oneself has been achieved.

Maybe I'm wrong, but what I've seen is enough to say that gamblers are here for money, not for fun.
Gamblers who only come to gamble for their money already have a different purpose, because not all gamblers will play games for money alone.
Perhaps the majority of people around you or those you see always prioritize big wins without expecting to have a good time.

People do only messed up their lives on the time that they will really be overdoing gambling or simply going past beyond their limits. Even if we do say that we are really just that playing for fun but on the time that you are longing to play then those kind of thinking will really be that totally changed up specially on the moment that you are already that making up some huge loses. It will really be just that important that you do have that self control because most likely those earlier mindset or limits that you had set are really that bound to be broken and doing this then it will really be making up the situation to proceed without caution. Gambling should really be that for fun and its not something that will really be that making for you to make money and this is something that you should put up into your mind. Act naturally as if you are really that agreeing into their words and
on the time that you are already that able to capable on doing such condition then you will be able to have some potential actions later on.

There's no wrong on playing gambling as long you are really having that kind of target or goal on which we know that his is where people are focused now.
Who would really be not wanting on making up some money?

You know that people who gamble for fun doesn't mean that when they lose money they are not disappointed, they will still be disappointed because it is their money and they hope that at least they can get some, but when they say they gamble for fun, it means they are not too focused on doubling their money and chasing wins like crazy, like addicts do, they just enjoy gambling and then stop when they feel they have had enough. Because normal people will feel disappointed when they lose their money, and that is very normal, but for those who gamble just for fun they quickly move on and don't think too much about their losses, that's as far as I know.

Both of them are same, they have house edge and it make you lose in the long run. Try to check the house edge of the games you want to play, the higher the house edge, the faster you will lose your money.

Physical casinos is good to combat against minor exposed to gamble, while online casinos is good for own safety since you will not being a target of mad gamblers that goes insane and destroy anything around them.
I'm sorry I wasn't precise on what I wanted to say. Physical casinos are built in a way to make you lose track of time; there are no windows or clocks, so getting carried away is really easy, especially in older times when smartphones weren't a thing. Both of them are quite the same; it's equally easy to lose money on both. Online casinos offer conveniences that physical ones don't, and in my opinion, they are much safer environments; you can quit with the click of a button.

Being happy or sad is also part of the gambling and it doesn't necessarily mean that the gambler is doing with the wrong intention, unless their only hope is to make money from gambling for their living which is wrong.

People commit suicide for many reasons and obviously being broke is one of the reason but it's an extreme not everyone does that even if they did wrong still they can come back and change whatever happened so ending their life is not a solution to anything.

And again I’ll say not all gamblers are there for money but for fun. You wouldn’t expect me to make a deposit of less than $2 in my gambling account (when converted to my local currency is kinda a huge amount) and then play with the hope of turning it into a $1,000 - when I want to play or gamble that’s the kind of amount I use for gambling and in such case all I’ll be doing will be purely gambling for fun.

If I aim to make money from gambling I’ll make a good deposit but when it’s aimed at having fun I use little to no money (I just play the demo) and then quit when I’m done playing - you don’t necessarily have to gamble all the time for fun, sometime you could go there with the aim of making some profits while some other time you just want to escape reality.

You can catch fun while gambling because most of the games have good sound system, appealing UI and are generally engaging but this is not enough to make a user deposit huge amount of money to enjoy. There are are various games that offer the same thing but are free of charge. This is why money is key in gambling and everyone getting involve in gambling have the idea of getting a reward at the back of his mind and this is what influences most of the decision made. Most of the people championing the idea of gambling for fun in this forum may not be gambling for fun but following the  trend just to feel good that they are doing the right thing.

A gambler does not gamble just for fun, He certainly gambles with the hope of just winning. When a gambler gambles and if he loses then he is disappointed. Be it any game, with or without money, he will play for just winning the game.

Some gamblers gamble just to get rich, and when he loses, he thinks that in the next game he will make up for all his losses, and it turns into an addiction, and he becomes addicted to gambling And he continued to gamble until he loses his all asset, and when he loses everything then he indulges in bad deeds.
all that is true, but the negative impacts can only happen to irresponsible gamblers. although many gamblers are disappointed when they lose and they gamble only for victory, many gamblers are not addicted because they have good control over their gambling.

I agree that more and more gamblers play to multiply their money, so am I here. but not all gamblers will end up having bad luck with their addiction and bad deeds to themselves or others.

If we check the ratio of the gambler's that gamble for fun and those that gamble for the jackpot, I think the jackpot hunters are more likely to dominate the space and for sure if you also check the impact of both gambling for fun and gambling for money winning to Gambling addictions you will see that those that gamble for fun have less tendency of addictions.

And those that gamble for the jackpot easily get addicted more, so this is what it is, gambling have it ups and downs, but it is left to the individual gambler's to decide which side and at what level you allow it to effect you.

Suicides are evidence of unbearable condition that effects the physiological processes of the brains, and the condition that causes it Most is when the gambler use funds that is way out of his ability to gamble and this can only happen when the gambler is already deeply addicted.

The word gambling is not just for fun since a lot of people can lose much of their money in gambling, but some time bring a huge profit a gambling is only a way of earning a some amount of money but is not a reliable place; because anyone who in to gambling and he didn’t have another way of income it will not end well in gambling.

That’s why I don’t want to advice anyone to introduce his self into gambling because it take including a lot of risk, and some people’s don’t know how to control themselves in terms losing, because gambling will never save your financial it can only be lead a person to way of losing without get the capital back and that’s is good for us to be avoiding gambling.
It is true that we should never suggest gambling to friends who do not know anything about gambling, because if something happens to our friends, we will feel guilty for introducing them to gambling. It is better to enjoy the pleasure of gambling ourselves without having to share

Physical casinos are a plague; they're built in order to make you lose; it's way worse than trying at an online casino. I'd never visit one, even if I had the opportunity. I haven't seen it myself, but I've heard stories from a few acquaintances and from stories on Reddit who have gone in an attempt to make money, but all returned disappointed, losing every bit of money left. I honestly do not understand how someone can lose their self-control so much to become that addicted to gambling.

Don't look at gamblers who bet online, try going to a physical casino, see them doing gambling activities and what percentage of people commit suicide when they lose at gambling, don't you only find news of 1% suicide every year, Even then, the majority of cases are those who gamble using borrowed money, because they can't win and can no longer cover the money, so their minds get stuck and end their lives.

Have you ever seen and found tourists who come from outside the city or other countries and rent a hotel to stay in looking for entertainment and fun, then when night comes, they go out to get fresh air and go to the casino, what is their purpose in coming to the casino all the way? don't they get their pleasure there, they know the casino is where the money is spent, but it doesn't matter they enjoy all that.

Indeed in general people gamble for money, but the types of people who go to casinos vary, so not all gamblers come for entertainment and not all gamblers come for money, for me anyone who gambles and the reasons are accepted, money, addiction, fun, greed, ambition and so on everythingis in gambling.

There's always a temptation to go for profit or multiply your bet because the possibility is always there, its easy money, imagine doubling or tripling your money it will take a week or even a month of working in the office if you happen to win in your bet, so even if our goal is to have fun, we are always tempted to make money.

We are just humans acting like humans there's nothing wrong with getting disappointed but worse is trying or thinking to recover our loss or betting money that is not allocated for gambling.

You are right with your statement some people just cannot cope with depression brought about by losing money that they cannot afford to lose, which is why we always say it a thousand times and we keep on repeating it until it becomes the mantra of everyone of every gambler.

          -      I support what you are saying, and maybe the majority of the gambling community, whether it is cryptocurrency or land base casino, is really playing in the hope that they will get a large amount of profit.

That's why most people know that gamblers who gamble lose when playing gambling. Although there are still others who really just play for fun and don't care if they lose and don't expect to win a lot of money.

Well, as much as I did agree with you, I think it's better to use the word "majority" than generalize the whole thing, because one thing that is very certain for sure is that not everyone who is gambling really care about the money they hopefully can make from it, but then, I will completely agree wit you if you tell me that the majority of gamblers aren't gambling for fun, but for the money or profit they stand to gain.

We all have to understand that we live in a world where the majority are poor, or living below average in terms of wealth, so, every one of this people are looking for any means possible to earn extra money - for those working or running their own business, and for those who are not working or running a business, there have to be a way for them to earn money as well, and several of this people turn to gambling.
This and several other factors have contributed to the reason why so many gamblers no longer care about just gambling for fun, but are all doing it for the money.
