I couldn't agree more with those gamblers saying that they gamble just for fun because the truth is that people gamble in the hope of multiplying their money. But from what we have witnessed and seeing the sentiment of the majority, we definitely see that they feel disappointed when losing. Which is not really the behavior of gamblers who just think about entertaining themselves. A real gambler never seeks winning but pleasure and fun.

Hearing the news that some people committed suicide and crimes can also prove that my statement is right. Maybe I'm wrong, but what I've seen is enough to say that gamblers are here for money, not for fun.

I also wanted to hear opinions from others.

You are absolutely correct and there is no such thing as gambling for fun because if that was the case I have already said several other times just go to the slot provider website and play all the time you want every slot you want and have all the fun in the world by doing so. Nothing is an obstacle to people doing just that, going and have fun with gambling but no that is not the case as I remember one ex colleague of mine at my old job that said I am leaving gambling and he was playing the fun mode in the provider website yet it didn't last long, he lost his car and his house in gambling unfortunately and his life took really the wrong turn since then which ended up with him being sick badly until he died, yeah I know the worse thing but it happened unfortunately. So to all people claiming to be playing for fun no one is really doing so for real in my opinion also.

Gamblers who said gambling was just for fun only made that statement as an alibi in order to divert their frustrations on failing to take their lucky profit. Crimes that involves gambling isn't an unacceptable actions and behavior, because of that reason every person should be held responsible of their finances. Once they let themselves with the wrong mindset and beliefs, the problem remains a recurring scenario.

Yes potentially some people will say such things after losing but they can equally
say the same thing after they win too as in not to seem that they are addicted.

Everyone knows that the primary goal of gambling is to win money, but if you can
have fun along the way its great but if you are addicted and chasing losses
I cant imagine its fun.

It's just a way to console oneself of his loss so we don't get to over think about it too much. The fun part I'm gambling is when we make wins and this has been said times without number but then we just don't want to wake up to reality. Again I can say that the rich folks gamble for fun. an average gamble whose main intension was to multiply his funds, wouldn't be happy to loss and call it fun. He will be disappointed and might not even have the intention to play more. Except when greed comes in or he decides to avenge his loss

People don't want to lose anything including money. Some teenagers play football close to my house and I see the seriousness they put in the game. They have nothing to lose if they are defeated since they don't bet any money, yet they will put effort into winning. Even billionaires don't want to lose a few dollars. People are gambling for fun doesn't erase the fact that they also don't want to lose. Just like buying a movie ticket or playing computer games, a fun seeker gamblers for entertainment. But that won't negate the fact that we want to win.

People who committed who committed suicide because of gambling are suffering from acute gambling disorder. It could be that they gambled more than what they could afford to lose or they even sold properties or took loans to gamble. Most of these gamblers also had other issues that contributed to their suicide.

Whoever it is when losing will definitely be disappointed even if gambling is just for fun it's hard not to feel disappointed when losing, but this is not a priority when losing is natural so I will understand where there is disappointment.

The most important thing is that I don't destroy what is the goal in gambling, after all this is not the main source if I win then I'm happy, if I lose then I'm unlucky, don't force gambling again, so that's what I think about gambling.

There are gamblers and gamblers. Some are chasing money, while others are just having a good time. The point is that only the first group appears on the media, since it's the news regards addiction, thefts and crimes which generate traffic for news portals.

As consequence, we have the impression most gamblers are problematic, unstable and addicted. But the reality is that a minor group behaves like that, otherwise the negative impacts of gambling in society would be much more evident in a daily basis, not only on the news you read, but also around you, in your social circle.

I risk saying most gamblers stop gambling as soon as they identify gambling isn't a profitable activity to make an income from on long term. Gamblers who remain betting in a frequent basis are just doing this for entertainment or they do present a cognitive distortion from reality, as they expect profit from gambling which can't be achieved at all by most of them.

This happened because they were unable to control themselves, just like when a person is angry and commits a crime, such as hurting or even killing someone. We can relate this kind of feeling to gambling; losing money can be disappointing, but with control and the ability to accept that losing is part of the game, you won’t think of doing something as drastic as committing suicide. As gamblers, we should have a tough mindset and emotional resilience, so accept what happened and move on. If you’re just gambling for fun, you won’t get too attached to the outcome. But if you do it regularly and still want to enjoy it, it’s possible-just always be disciplined. Control yourself so you don’t get too ambitious with wins and know when to stop once you’ve hit your limit.

People who take a desperate step, of course, need medical and psychological help. Having gambled away everything, they are impossible to get out of this hole, and having psychologists, they could acquire a new meaning in life. Therefore, it is necessary to know such stories that initially quite normal people fall into the clutches of excitement and end their lives badly. It is essential to treat games as entertainment, simply trying your luck, not dwelling on the result, and not resorting to regular games. Those who think that gambling will help them get out of poverty, and debt, or rid them of problems will get a more severe test, losing even more than they had. Always remember the meaning of "game" as a pastime that brings satisfaction but is not intended to solve financial problems.
Gambling isn’t where you go to be desperate, desperate about recovering your loses or for that win that would change your life/get you back on your fit. In fact, your desperation is a loosing tool crafted by your very own self and so, it’s a don’t.

Gambling doesn’t solve financial problems. It can, but it doesn’t since, it’s largely based on luck and luck is something you can’t put a formula to, it’s just happens to you or not.

As opposed to gambling to make money, you can have fun even in the midst of loosing money. You don’t gamble on games you’re not familiar with and as such, actively participating on a familiar activity builds skill and excitement as well as knowing. These are the fun parts not to mention, should you win, you get more excited over being right at this one time.

This really is a long argument from those actual gamblers that are in there for the money. Regardless of what others are telling about the reason they gamble, they won't be stopped for whatever reason they are up to. So, someone who's gambling for money/profit cannot be stopped from doing it because I've been there before and thought that it's an easy way to make money from gambling. At first it was but in the long run, my perspective has changed and it's really all about having fun first and if there's profit, much better.

Hearing the news that some people committed suicide and crimes can also prove that my statement is right. Maybe I'm wrong, but what I've seen is enough to say that gamblers are here for money, not for fun.

I am for fun, I've got a bunch of losses for this week from my bets and that's fine. There really are days that I am not as good as the past week that I am or the past month that I've got huge wins. But this time, I just enjoy my bets so that I won't be stressed if there are bets that I need to chase my losses. So be it, I gamble for whichever purpose that it is for me but mostly for fun and if I am up with profit, that's just a bonus. Sometimes we need to trick our brains and reason out to the best that we can not to stress out the negative results that we're having.

Whether it's gambling for fun or to make money depends on the mindset or intentions of every gambler because we all have different reasons why we gamble. Although we can't deny that everybody likes to win rather than losing but if you understand how gambling works then you will not put all your hopes in winning. So inorder to enjoy yourself in gambling, knowing that winning is not guaranteed then it's better to have the fun mindset so that you won't be disappointed if you don't win. That is why it best to gamble with the amount that you can afford to loose and don't chase loses

Yea, gambling is all about what we want however in my opinion I strongly believe that the reason for people involving themselves in gambling is to win although losing is inevitable, for me there is no fun once your bet has not yield any fortune or profit, you can only have fun when you place a bet and win, gambling involves money as such no one is sure if there stake is going to have a good end, so I don't see any fun here unless in a situation where you gamble with little to just know how it works, it is very absurd to think that someone using a huge amount of money for gambling will see it as fun I think that's not possible, no matter how rich you are, once you gamble with money your expectation will be winning and nothing else, personally I Believe  that people can only have fun if they don't have already existing bet or not involved in a gambling session, anything aside that has no fun attached.

I disagree with you OP, a real gambler gambles with the mentality of anything can happen as his bet can be 50/50. Gambling goes beyond entertainment, gambling is a serious business where people involve their hard end money to take profit and not just for fun. Of course there are a lot of gamblers that see gambling as fun where they can put in money without expecting much in return, but that percentage cannot be compared to the greater percentage of gamblers that see it as a business where they want to take a homongous amount of profit.
I don't want you to agree with me, but the point why I'm saying this is because that's what we observe from other gamblers. We are talking about a gambler here, not the owner of the casino, where we can say it is a business that ensures profit at the end of the day. Gamblers spend their hard-earned money expecting returns; that is the truth for sure. If you say they are still happy when losing, then that is good, but I don't believe that is the feeling for someone who has been betting for many years yet still never wins. We could not think that they were having, but certainly desperation and chasing their losses.

People can commit suicide for any reason at all, people can commit suicide after a heartbreak, people can commit suicide because of job loss and a whole lot, so it's not just about gambling that make people commit suicide, however it is always advised that as a gambler you maintain a healthy gambling lifestyle so you don't have all of this negativity thought come into you.
Yes, there are many reasons, but if you hear some news that is because of gambling addiction, you can imagine how it affects badly and can lose their lives and reputation. Of course, I won't say we should stop gambling, but instead, I encourage gamblers to become responsible and not too attached to money because anything bad may happen, like mental and health issues at the time we lose control of ourselves.

People usually don't get happy when they loose money and they all have their reactions to it and that is something we cant really get full control of because these persons have their reasons for which they happen to be in such situations one of which most times could be that they staked the money they are not willing to loose at a time and may be they where too sure they were goin to win until they  lost the bet.

Playing gambling is just for fun. We will difficult to make money from gambling because is not like a job that can gives you the money. You need to use your money to win and make money but that will not easily since you are playing gambling in the casino. The casino will not lets you win many times and much money. But if you have a reason playing gambling because of want to have fun with some money you can afford to lose, you will not desperate or ends your life when you lose because you can accept your lose. You know the risks of playing gambling which can gives you losses so you want to reduce your losses. We will feels sad or disappointed when we lose but if we thinks that is the risks of playing gambling, we will not think much about that instead accept the lose.

In as much as gambling is something that have a way of making an individual lose all he has struggle to get in life I still believe or should I say I have witness where gambling changed the life of someone completely and with the money he won he started a business. The thing is just luck and how you use the money but having it in mind that you're not going to be a billionaire immediately you entered the gambling hall as the case maybe, it will save you the stress of expecting much from gambling.
Some people can't even respond to all these therapy they go to, is just the grace of God that can take that problem away. Some people has taken gambling as part of them and before they start they have already had it in mind that they're already winning that very day and when the disappointment comes in you see some of them still trying to go back to get more money to continue, now it becomes a must to win and if no win is coming they can go extra miles to get more money to stake just to have at least a win.

The key is not having money as your primary goal. If your aim is to make money, you'll end up disappointed; gambling isn't your shortcut out of your financial troubles, quite the opposite. We're playing for both entertainment and money, but the money-making aspect is definitely what keeps us going; no one would be interested in it if it wasn't for it, and that's quite sensible, isn't it? Nobody likes losing, that's for sure. Even if it wasn't a large amount or even if you don't have any financial issues, it's still a loss.

Unfortunately, some take it too seriously and resort to measures such as suicide. Imagine how deep they've dug themselves that this seems like the only way out.

who doesn't gamble for money? Everyone gambles for the profit that's associated with gambling and not just to have purely fun. If it's purely fun then they would have used demo account and not go on to use real money. All the forms of gambling has always had profit at it centre. When You play in a casino what you want is profit and when you bet on sports even you're still doing so because of what you stand to gain. Engaging in gambling discussion in a gambling center or bantering about a gaming event with fellow gamblers might be fun to some extent untill when money is involved.  When you visit a snocker joint and just play normal snocker without using any money for it, the environment is usually calm and it's hard to see people taking it seriously but once it turns out to become gambling because money is involved, everything changes totally.

It's now becoming difficult to separate the thin line between gambling for fun and gambling for money.

But truth remains that gambling was meant to be a game of fun but because the benefits that comes when you eventually get lucky to win are very huge it has driven people craze to the extent of putting in a very thing they have just to get lucky and make huge amounts from the game.

I still know someone who gambles for fun fully nothing more else if not for fun, be plays from a very long time while his friends goes to play with him just to make money from him but he doesn't really care because that's where he feels happy.

No matter how people keep doing craze things over gambling, it can't take the fact that there is a warning on every gambling platform, site and casinos that says gamble responsibly which covers every statement that gambling is for money and not for fun.
