No ICO is not coming back again, ICO is dead because no one trust it anymore, scammers make enough money through ICO in 2017 to 2018 before IEO came to the rescue, right now I hope new projects will have chances to use top exchange for their IEO

The ICO has been dead for a long time, and I don't think it will return. New projects are now also restricting the use of ICOs to fundraise their projects, most of which are using IEO to raise funds, even though they may be small exchanges.
basically the trust in ICO at the moment is really reduced at this time. however many disappointments were caused by previous ICOs. however, I still hope that things will improve, but it seems better to see the development of new sales techniques such as IEO compared to the current ICO.

Guys, do you think that ICOs could make a come back? I do and here is why. Every year dozens of companies raise money in Silicon Valley for startups, many pre revenue. Also, with the economy injured from nCov19, it would make sense to allow for new economies. This would include letting new startups in Blockchain raise money, and imo if they are well vetted, and trusted by the community, they should be allowed to raise money. What do you think?

ICO has been dead because we have seen most of the projects became scams after the fund raise. Investors were cheated by many projects. Now IEO is more safer than ICO but here is an obstacle. Projects are running after the newer or low volume exchanges where maximum trade are occurred by bot. Investors should be more careful before investment.

If there is no IEO, people might still invest with ICO.
Scams are already big in the past, but the good thing is there are still a lot of project that was successful, and it looks like a battle of the smart investors against the investors with lack of knowledge and experience, so while some will complain, some would also defend since they make money from investing in ICO.
ICO no longer attracts investors like two years ago, and projects using this form are often overlooked because they do not have enough potential, so I will never participate. Currently, you should only choose to invest in the IEO projects that are mentioned by people because if you are lucky, you will make a huge profit. Of course, there are still risks that you need to avoid, and I recommend you invest only when you know the project well.

What about some recent icos that can reach its hardcap and made 4x profit for investors? Ieo is much safer but it's only for ieo that backed by big exchange site. Any ieo that was running by a small exchange site has the same chance with ico to be the scam project

I feel like maybe it is time for something else? Something more tangible, something more legit. Right now there is really nothing that can stop these people from asking for money and getting it and just steal it and move on with their life. There is rarely anyone ever being sued for doing something like that and it is not even seen as a business legally and that is why they can do whatever they want to.

We need something that will keep the owners accountable, I understand if they fail on what they want to achieve but I can't accept that they are hoarding all the cash they got on funding without any audit at all and not spend it on the company, they "look" like they still running and doing something but when you check where those funds go, there is no data, maybe they bought a house for themselves, who knows?

how can you say if ICO returns? is there an ICO that will raise funds in 2020? because I did not see since the beginning of the year until now, ICO has lost investor confidence so it is very difficult to collect funds, investors now prefer IEO as an investment, I also think that ICO will never come back.
Yes, the time for ICO is up, and there will never be another, so it will be very useless if we talk about ICO again, because in general investors no longer like or are interested in ICO, especially now there are better substitutes like IEO.

I agree that IEO's are better, safer, some exchange vouch for the project. But I don't think we are
finished with ICO's, somehow I think that we will see them once again, maybe one or two, or entire
wave! It's a possibility! We had some good ICO's and it's a way to fund some project, maybe some
teams will decide to do something on their own, without exchanges on their back!

I'm sorry but i believe that ICO's are already done in this market,Our community are already tired and sick of scamming and some abused from these teams and until now they are still doing their Bad habit of taking money from investors and scamming Bounty Hunters.

actually i don't know why there are still Bounty hunters that Believing in those promises from this scammers, even if they are continued being fooled of them.

I remember the days when there are tons of money given away by this ICO but now?i can't remember reading a thread since 2018 that saying there are successful payments coming from the team.

I think that ICO will never raise enough money for the success of the company. A large number of scammers in the ICO, this is the whole problem. I advise you to forget about ICO and try IEO. Now all cryptocurrency investors consider only IEO and I advise you.
If they are doing an ICO right now, I believe they won't be able to raise any money. Investors are shying away from ICOs and are only interested in IEO, and as you said they should try to implement IEO so that the project has a chance of success.

If you wanna try to do a little research about that and you can find a lot of icos that have already reached the hardcap.

What you need to do just visit the reliable ico list site and then try to click on the ended ico and you will see that.

I think this is unlikely to happen again. In the past, when the economy was growing well, many new investors had more money to participate in the crypto market. then the number of users is small, the whales can push the price up x10 or x100 times is too normal. But now the number of participants is so high and they know the tricks that cost the whales so I think the ICO won't be able to return. We need a new trend and maybe it's the investment in PoS systems of top altcoins.

Almost new ICO project have been down and restart for investing on ICO project make many people will think one more time, still benefit and get much profit with investing on ICO project or become shit coin after listing on exchange market, many people not afraid for investing on ICO project right now because they have lost opportunity with ICO investment way.
because of this, ICO is no longer trusted, in fact, it also has an effect on new projects now. I honestly wait for the recovery of sales from the new tokens, but it seems that the effect of the disappointment on that has been very big, and very impactful at this time. so, I didn't really believe in ICO recovery until I saw that ICO was really successful.

I don't think ICO will have a come back regardless of how useful project they come up with. Because people has lost both trust and interest from ICO because of the scammy nature and now it will be very hard for ICO to rause money. I think with IEO some project may get success if they have enough potential.
I do not think that people have lost confidence. We just do not have good projects that could offer something to investors or to the world of cryptocurrencies. all new ICOs are just copies. Those projects that are really good they successfully conduct ICO

I agree with both of the above comment in that ICO's have a difficult time coming back due to the financial uncertainty that the entire world has plunged into due to the pandemic outbreak. Also, the fact that people are limited being near each other means delays in product development, productivity and delivery and worst of all ideation. So it isn't surprising that at these time is difficult to come by or develop new projects worth for ICOs.

I don't think there will be the return of ICOs as many people have already burned by countless scam or poor projects. A project running an ICO will all only be successful if they have backing of big companies or has existing application in the market with active users on board. Other than that, I don't think a project these days will achieve success in holding their ICO.

I also agree if the ICO goes back to the way it used to be, but there must be legality,
which is very important, because investor funds can be safe, and good for the world of crypto currencies
How to get a legal ICO? We still don't have any laws regulating ICOs, so joining an ICO is a risky decision. To me, ICOs are dead and no longer profitable for investors
You must have registered your ico to the autorithies and i think you should take a look at blockstack which has become the first legal ico that already approved by SEC. Icos are not dead yet and it's still profitable and i just take solana as the best example.
