There have been a lot of scams in the ICO. People have lost faith in the ICO and are now leaning towards the IEO. IEOs listed on reputable exchanges are likely to be successful and ICOs will no longer have a place.

I think no more ICOs in the future.Start up blockchain project should not consider ICO anymore. They should just join the IEO. Its better for both investor and the developer.and also investor will have no doubt to invest in such project. As we all know there are a lot of projects with ICO before that turn to be scam, bad or forgotten project.

The departed, most likely not to return. The ICO has completely exhausted itself, along with the hopes of investors that they placed on it. The development of the crypto industry is very rapid, therefore, new paths are needed that are difficult but paved, so there will be no return.

Don't write it off completely. Back in 2017, the ICO generated so much hype that the investors rushed in to invest in various projects without properly studying them. And obviously many of them failed and the investors lost their hard earned money. One of the major issues was the huge number of projects and the fragmentation in investment resulting from it. At least now., the number of new projects have come down to sustainable levels. But generating interest from the investors may take some time.

back again to individuals who want to hold it, because trust is very important for any investment, including in crypto. ICO has often disappointed many investors because many are naughty and misuse it to look for profits that are not commendable.

I am sure ICO will be able to succeed again if all of us who are connected want to work hard so that naughty people abuse their authority to no longer be able to grow. cooperation is needed from those who supervise to those who want to become investors.
That was definitely misused by the team because there were no watchdogs so they were free to do whatever they wanted including to flee with investors' money and there was no guarantee that the ICO would all know that ICO would not grow again.

In my opinion, if you really want to develop it seriously, then I think ICO will return as before. therefore I think they should really do a new breakthrough on the ICO so that they can be trusted again as before.
That's true, however, the problem is whether the investors will also return or will start to put their trust again in ico. Even if ico will make a serious project and they really put their effort into it, if investors will not trust it then there is no chance for the ico to return in this field.

Guys, do you think that ICOs could make a come back? I do and here is why. Every year dozens of companies raise money in Silicon Valley for startups, many pre revenue. Also, with the economy injured from nCov19, it would make sense to allow for new economies. This would include letting new startups in Blockchain raise money, and imo if they are well vetted, and trusted by the community, they should be allowed to raise money. What do you think?
They will certainly do but the majority of investors will keep their hands off of it since a lot of them got burned the last time ICO almost drown the market with a useless token this pertains to those cloned projects and forge whitepapers.

Do investors still trust ICO?
If investors still believe in ICO, I think ICO will run well. The process of project success depends on the investor. Public trust is very important for crypto. Because crypto investment is not a real investment, like people investing in gold, and apartments or real estate.
Why Bitcoin really maintains its reputation or public trust. Because when they created Bitcoin, it was very difficult for them to gain public trust. It's not as easy as people now invest in Bitcoin.
Unfortunately crypto developers are currently throwing away something valuable, that is trust.

IEO getting more and more popular nowadays. People are not willing to invest in any project that won't give investors guaranteed to exchange their token in the market. Thats why people like IEO because its gives them guarantee of listing token in that exchange that IEO will be available. So technically IEO and ICO are almost the same so I think We do not need ICO as long as IEO can do that same task.

I have the same sentiments towards this crowdsourcing saga. There's no going back to where scammers got a hold a huge amount of money leaving disheartened investors. But there are still few projects trying to handle their respective ICOs. But I doubt they will ever reach their targets. They will be lucky if they can hit their soft caps. So for these developers, they need to find more solid sources of funds if they indeed want their project realized.

ICO reputation has been threatened and most who manage ICO are is the scammers and that it's makes many investors no longer trust ICO. IEO is now a good solution because the level of fraud is very small and makes many investors comfortable or safe. the ICO heyday is over and I think it's possible will not to come back again. it's just in my opinion and correct my words if I'm wrong.

To conduct an IEO, the initial capital or the presence of an investor in the project is required. And the better the exchange, the more money is required to conduct it. Therefore, many companies conduct ICO to collect the necessary amount for conducting an IEO.

That seems to be the new trend now, the process is longer and it's like a per stage crowdfunding as they need to be successful in ICO first before they can proceed into IEO. In IEO it does not mean the project would succeed as the price might dump when listed in exchange whether from a big or small exchange, but of course for big exchange there's a better chance but it's up to the project if they are willing to gamble for that as once it failed to attract investors and price will dump at the opening of trading, most likely it will be hard for a project to recover as they don't have the confidence of the investors.

Agree, I also think ICO won't come back again, Because investors no longer trust ICO projects. So I think it will be useless if there are projects will make an ICO again. They will only waste their time and money because the IEO project is here to bring convenience for investors.

Investors already know that investing in ICOs is too huge risk and therefore only small part of experienced investors invest in cryptocurrency companies that conduct ICOs, most of the new investors who invest in ICOs are most likely newcomers, so I don’t think that we need cryptocurrency companies that conduct ICOs but not IEOs.

IEO basically replaced ICO. So, for me I don't mind if ICO will have a come back. But personally. If it did, I would still prefer IEO projects because I feel safer with it compared to ICO.
IEO offers a better thing than ico. IEO will be listed on the exchange site who have been launching it and ico needs to apply manually to be listed on the exchange site and i know that if you still prefer IEO rather than ICO caused by this thing but we should not underrated the ico too.

Everyone obviously will not mind if the ICO can return, but to return the ICO seems to have been very difficult because people's trust in ICO is gone and you even say you prefer IEO on the grounds that you feel safer compared to ICO.

I read an article that shows the indicators of attracting funds to the cryptocurrency market from August 2013 to March 2020 with the help of ICO and IEO and this is $ 33 billion that startup developers managed to attract. And only $ 4.7 billion was collected for the period 2019-2020. I have been interested in this issue recently and therefore drew attention to the Bloomchain study, which stated that the ICO share has increased slightly in recent years: 76% instead of 70% a quarter earlier. But IEO has a drop rate from 30% to 24% in the same period. Based on this data, I believe that icon still has prospects, although interest in this has declined slightly.
