I agree that setting limits on time and money is the best way to avoid addiction and overspending on gambling. By setting limits we can prevent ourselves from overdoing it in gambling which can cause problems to our finances and mental condition. Even though it is quite difficult for us to be able to meet this limit, if we are disciplined from the start, I don't think it will be a difficult thing.

This is true, time limits can be done to avoid unwanted things that can be detrimental, in my opinion if gamblers do gambling without having time limits, there will be many things that are harmed, mainly money, health, and other things that are more useful. It's still good if the game is good and can make the balance they have last a long time, but try to imagine or think if the game is bad by quickly draining the balance they have and they will deposit again, continue like this for a long time, of course this will drain their finances and make a big loss that is not felt, at first they felt it was okay or with the phrase that was said "maybe one more bet" but the fact that more than once they did gambling of course this would be detrimental financially and time. maybe also with their health.

having self-limits and time limits is important in gambling because then it might be able to minimize the losses that will occur. it will also prevent major problems such as addiction or a person's mental state. you are right, if this is done with discipline, it might not be difficult to do.
Everything should really be having a limit because if you dont then you would really be finding yourself on such problem on the time that things do messes up. This is why it would really be that important that you should really be that mindful on the actions that you are making or really that being responsible so that you wont really be putting yourself at harm. When it comes to gambling then having limitation would really be that so crucial but somehow on the thing that do speak about gambling involvement and the duration that you are really that trying out to deal with then it would really be that relevant if you do really know on how to limit yourself on dealing up with things then it should really be just that fine but if you are really that impulsive then you are really that putting yourself on such trouble.

In my case, i dont mind much about the duration or the time spent when i do gambling because i do really just that gamble for fun. I dont really make myself deal up with too much time
specially if its already compromising other things or to those which are important. Its really just that impossible that you wont really be able to determine on which is good and bad.

1. Have a amount limit you can risk on gambling every week.

2. Choose your favourite day in a week for gambling.

3. Have a time count down when gambling, to avoid spending too much time.

Go back home or close your laptop once your time is up, and wait for the coming day, go back to your daily life and business, chase your goals using your business and invest more money on assets.

Do you agree or disagree? Drop your reason why.
Determination of capital limits to play
Setting goals during play
Time determination during play depends on the state of the game. If the game is in a favorable position, stop not an option. Conversely, if you are in a winning position and continue it will make the percentage of victory drained, yes stop is a choice. Close the laptop and come back tomorrow.
Not good gambling in an unconscious state.
I did not choose the day, because it was just a myth. All days are good for playing if the game is played in a condition not emotional.

I totally agree with you, however, it depends on what your purpose really is when you gamble. If your aim is just to win, you better set a time limit as to how long and how much you can spend during your session in casino. As you said, the longer you stay the more you lose. You'll become greedier to the point you'll chase up more win when you're winning and chase you're losses when you are losing. But, if you are there just to have fun and enjoy your time playing, you can actually stay longer without hurting so much of your budget by limiting your bets in smaller amounts regardless if you're playing longer time and losing a lot it will not hurt your bank roll.

For me, time is not a problem because on weekends I have more time than on weekdays. But I put more emphasis on the amount of money I spend on gambling. And in my gambling activities I never exceed the limit that I have set, which is 5% of my weekly income.

Because speaking of gambling, we can do gambling longer or not, it is up to each of us when gambling. For example, there are two gamblers who come to the same casino and with the same capital. both have a capital of 30 USD and both want to do the same gambling activity, namely playing slots. And the first person he only played for 30 minutes, while the second lasted for more than 1 hour. This can happen because the first person places a bet with a relatively high amount so that only a few rounds. Meanwhile, the second person bets a low amount so that the game can be longer.

Shorting your play time in gambling is the best strategy in gambling, apart from knowing how to manage your bankroll, don't spend too much time on a casino game, the longer the time you spent the more you lose, this is the truth that many gamblers won't accept at first until they realize it later.
Gambling is more complicated than you think and some advice might be as if you are putting a chain on the neck of some people simply because it looks too scary. You can't know what will really happen in gambling, and neither can you know if the next bet is your own Jackpot, so advice shouldn't always be general as many do it. Staying too much in a gambling house or gambling online is not entirely what I love as it could really cause addiction and it could also cost the person his time that would have been used for a better purpose. But when it comes to having enough time and betting more itself, I do not have issues against this as it's the best that can make you realize what you are in gambling. You don't have to be scared of gambling, you only have to be smart and wise. Instead of depriving yourself of the fun and the money you could make while betting more, you should just be budgeting towards your gambling goals, have good plans and be determined and disciplined with the plans. This is what I know that will not mislead any gambler as no one knows the bet that will be positive or negative, and if you do not try, you can never know as well. But with the right plans for your money and your timing;

1. You get to know the total amount you want to play with
2. The games you want to bet
3. The amount to use per betting, and
4. Maximum time you have to use for the betting

By these, you won't likely go astray if you are disciplined with it. And it's better than believing that gambling is a place where you should be dreadful, which I believe is not supposed to be so.

OP, you have a good tip for one to gamble and stay healthy with his hambling activities. Not only the loss that matters, but also to addiction which is bad and people that spends more of their time gambling to have fun, might end up being addicted to gambling because they will want to have fun all the time and before they know it, they are addicts.

This is why setting aside a gambling budget for the week and having a time limit will help you stay safe from addiction, and you will also be able to control your gambling activities. You wouldn't have time to chase your loss and no time to allow your emotions to control you.

Even though it is quite difficult for us to be able to meet this limit, if we are disciplined from the start, I don't think it will be a difficult thing.
If we don't want to become addicted to gambling then the best way is to emphasize ourselves to be consistent by limiting the budget and also limiting the time we gamble, usually people who are addicted to gambling because they play beyond the limit so anything too much will definitely never be good in the end, it's really difficult doing something consistent but that's the way to not really get addicted to gambling. because gambling addiction only harms yourself in the long run.

So avoid any old-fashioned gambling method of following emotions when gambling and spending a lot of money just to catch up and even recover the losses experienced, because the average gambler never learns to control himself when gambling so it is easy to gamble beyond the limit until he ends up addicted to gambling.

The less you play the better it is. No gamble at all = perfection. Is that what OP means? Dont know why short time could do any better, because imho when you make a deposit, this means you have already said bye-bye to your money and you just enjoy your game. Has OP tested his method of gambling time limitation and choosing favourite day to gamble. I think people could go nuts if they know that they have "Sunday, 20:00, 20min game time". If they end those 20min with profit, then they would desire to gamble again, and would go nuts while waiting for next 20 minutes of game. If they end with a loss, that Sunday, 20:00-20:20 would stuck in their head for a long time.

I think it is better to gamble anytime and as long as you want, with any bank you can afford to lose. Just be reasonable with betting, cold headed and oriented to have fun and enjoy free time.

For me gambling is a game. We have fun and spend our entertainment money to get adrenaline. I don't like people who are addicted to gambling. They think that they can win big prizes or jackpots continuously. I think that is wrong thinking. I mean we all know that casinos are also about luck. And that's a game. We know that not all players can win the game. People who gamble just for fun will not spend much time in it. They can live a balance between real life, social life and personal pleasure.

If gamblers could shorten their gambling activities, they would not experience mild to severe problems from gambling. They can even enjoy their gambling activities well and will not lose more money. That means they can use their gambling activities well and can use gambling properly.

Unfortunately, gamblers do not pay attention to this and will instead use more money to get the winnings they want. They forget to limit their gambling activities, which makes them gamble excessively and lose control of themselves. People who shorten their gambling activities, whether in terms of time or money, will be able to enjoy their gambling activities even within their limitations because their goal in gambling is only to have fun and entertainment.

But how come the advice to divide deposit and make several gaming sessions instead of one could help to avoid addiction? Instead of gambling once, OP advices to gamble several times. That does not help at all. Person will get more used to gambling thanks to that. Take $100 for example. What is more worse, make one $100 bet, or to make 100 $1 bets? The more bets gambler make, the more chances to lose he has. The more often gambler make bets, the more addicted he would be.

I totally agree with what you said. That shortening the time you play gambling is the best thing to avoid the very high risk of large losses, which will provoke your own anger towards other people or within your family. Not only that, it might also reduce the risk of gambling addiction. The shorter the time spent gambling, the lower the risk of addiction and potential financial loss. Time saved from gambling can be allocated to other positive activities such as working, studying, or spending time with family and friends. Excessive gambling can cause stress, anxiety, and other mental health problems. By limiting gambling time, a person can maintain their mental and emotional health.

2. Choose your favourite day in a week for gambling.
I think you shouldn't pick a specific day but choose a day when you feel the best. What if your favorite day or the weekend isn't the right mood for gambling? So, in my opinion, pick a day during the week when you wake up with a relaxed mind and in a good mood.

3. Have a time count down when gambling, to avoid spending too much time.
Instead of counting down time, I think we should preset the number of bets or rounds we'll play. For example, whether we win or lose today, we'll only play three rounds. Setting the number of rounds can be more comfortable and less mentally taxing than dealing with time constraints and countdowns.
I usually opt to limit the number of rounds I play in a day based on the available free time rather than setting a specific timeframe, as I find that setting time limits makes me uneasy and can sometimes lead to poor decisions.

I don't like introducing fixed limits to your gambling in terms of "time".
you may need to play more or less in certain situation.
a rigid scheme cannot be applied (a bit like having the possibility of playing a grand slam tournament against a normal one) you will always be ready to adopt your scheduling time Wink

Do you agree or disagree? Drop your reason why.

I agree that spending so much time could lead to betting above your budget. And it is meaningless to spend so much time on gambling when it can be used to engage in more fruitful activities. I suggest that as you plan for how much you will spend on gambling, it is also advisable to also have time limits. This is important because time is a great asset that could be maximised or misused. Most of the gamblers who give gambling a bad reputation in my location are those who spend the majority of their productive time in physical gambling shops. Some of them go to these casinos in the morning and stay there till evening. I also agree with what OP said that spending a lot of time on gambling could lead to gambling addiction.

But there is also a need to distinguish between having fun and an active gambling period. Sometimes I go to physical casinos to meet friends, watch football matches, discuss games, etc. In such a case, I can spend hours enjoying myself.

This is the reason why I don't usually gamble in a time consuming casino  games because it just make me feel so tired and makes me spend less time with my friends and family. Setting limits could also lessen the risk of over spending time with gambling.

I think that's obvious though as we all know that the odds are very much against us in gambling. But here's the catch though, there are cases that once you play either online or land base casinos, you suddenly win big because you go lucky. So it's going to be a dilemma for most gamblers, whether to continue or stretch their luck or stop and withdraw but there's not much excitement because you play for short amount of time.

So for me, this happened many times before, and there are times that I will just quit and not continue anymore.

But most of the times? I just continue and went on to play and then just lose everything that I gain and then some of my capital. So it's a hard lose, very difficult to make the right decision.
