Yeah, I think the more time you spend gambling, the bigger the chance you end up in the hole.  To try and prevent that, maybe set an alarm or something so you don't lose track of time.  That way you can stay focused and not make stupid bets just cause you're bored.  Also probably smart to decide how much cash you're willing to part with before you even start and  that way you dont blow more money than you were planning and end up regretting the whole thing.

Exactly, some gamblers who are addicted go through scenarios like this where they forget the time to go home and end up being carried away and trapped in a black hole far from the exit, there is nothing but a cycle that they will continue to do indefinitely. unless you can achieve consciousness. The OP has mentioned a good suggestion for an approach to not end up addicted, and to encourage that it can actually be done is by adding warnings as you said one of which might be setting an alarm to remind you that the session is over, no matter at the end by losing or winning.

On the other hand, the first point that must always be paid attention to is awareness, they must really be able to maintain full awareness when gambling, because that will be able to minimize unwanted things, especially so that you don't get carried away by pleasant circumstances. even though it is nothing more than a trap to get you further involved, limiting time, hopes/expectations and budget in each session is really recommended for being a healthy gambler.

I couldn't agree more. There should be proper time and money management when it comes to gambling. Setting limits is a wise strategy and can help maintain control and prevent excessive losses. We know that the longer you play, the higher the chance of losing money. It's true, everyone has probably experienced that—having a winning streak in a short period while playing, and because you wanted to play more to increase your winnings, the opposite happens, and you end up losing your entire balance.

Then if there's a gambler have $50, he need to gamble $50 at once? Cheesy

Imagine the gambler prepare to wear a good clothes from his home, spend 20-30 minutes on the transportation, after arriving on the casino, he gambled away $50 for few seconds, whenever he lose or win, he back to his home lol.
Then we are in a hurry to lose our $50 and then go home. Grin, No time for enjoyment.

If this is how we gamble, then I will stop from now on. I'm not sure what the OP is trying to emphasize but this is not the reason why gamblers got into addiction. They have fallen into such situations because of their mindset and gambling intention as most of us think that they will become rich in gambling and spend more money. Addiction comes because we want it to happen, if we just control ourselves and enjoy our time gambling, that never exists.

Shorting your play time in gambling is the best strategy in gambling, apart from knowing how to manage your bankroll, don't spend too much time on a casino game, the longer the time you spent the more you lose, this is the truth that many gamblers won't accept at first until they realize it later.

For them it's about your addiction, and that's what brings in more money, and I am here to announce to you that time fixation is also a good way in gambling, spending 20 minutes in casino a day is better than someone who spend 1 hour.

1. Have a amount limit you can risk on gambling every week.

2. Choose your favourite day in a week for gambling.

3. Have a time count down when gambling, to avoid spending too much time.

Go back home or close your laptop once your time is up, and wait for the coming day, go back to your daily life and business, chase your goals using your business and invest more money on assets.

Do you agree or disagree? Drop your reason why.

That's not always the case since how can we have fun with that if we always play for short time only? Maybe just create some discipline while gambling since we can still in good shape even if we bet for long time but try always to bet the smallest figures that we can afford to lose since from that we can extend our gaming time and also can get less capital loss.

Its just people always have misconception about everything in gambling and they always want fast profit that's why they easily lose huge amount of money. If they avoid to bet huge amount then provably they can avoid regret each decision they made while betting their allocated budget for gambling.

The only time you shouldn't have to stay and spend longer time in the casino is on your days of losing, as gamblers we have our bad days in gamble and when it's that kind of days it's for us to be wise and leave as quick as possible except in cases when you're on a good day winning your bets more than you're losing then you can stay longer but it wouldn't be bad you leave quickly even when it's a good day.

Agreed... All points to being a responsible gambler and there's nothing short about that. If a gambler can be able to have charge of his time in gambling then he has solved 99% of gambling addiction issues. Simple!

while I agree that spending less time in casinos(may it be online or offline) is a great way to lessen the risk of losing more money or becoming addicted but, what's Important here is how you manage yourself and your bankroll. As long as you know how to manage yourself I don't think it would matter if you spend several hours on a casino. there is nothing wrong with indulging yourself in something that you enjoy as long as you can control yourself and do it moderately.

Both?
I agree especially for those who already won. Stop it, claim your profits, and start enjoying it. Play the next day or the next week and be sure to benefit from the profits through different means. Not gambling again.

I disagree because there are times when casino games do give big amounts in the long term. I've seen it. I played Plinko for a long time and I've seen my balance grow 10x in 3 days. There are some rests of course and I turn off my PC to let it cool down too. Oh, an example of the 10x profit is like this.
$10 became $100 while I was just betting $0.01. So yes, it will take some time to make it grow like that.

So this kind of question depends on each player. If a gambler has the time to just run the game without ruining his other jobs or works then I think it's good.
And there's an automatic bet feature so we don't have to worry about addiction. We don't need to watch it the whole day.
Now, if once in a while they will check and make profits that are pleasing to them, withdrawal should be next. There must be a target amount.

Do you have any statistics that will show that during 20min session gambler wins, looses or wagers less than during 1 hour, if we look on situation proportionally? I predict the result to be the similar. Mathematically is should be the same. If we dont look at money and betting, that this short sessions worsen situation, as instead of gambling once, you do it 3 times. Gambling becomes more like a habit, that will increase chances of addiction. Such short sessions might be bad, as a gambler might feel that he did not have enough; not satisfied.

I can't even spend an hour to gamble now but I can't speak on the profitability based on the time spent on a casino. I would rather talk about using that time to do something more productive. I mean if you're spending a lot of time on fun and leisure like gambling then you're basically not doing much. Someone who is busy earning money and building wealth probably do not have time to gamble at all so I can agree that spending less time is better.

Yes, at least I agree with you @OP. By limiting gambling time and money, we can also limit ourselves so we don't gamble excessively. We have to do that and stay within the limits so as not to experience gambling addiction. After all, we never know when gambling addiction will come.

We can only prevent it by trying to limit gambling games. But we also don't need to force ourselves to gamble every week, especially if we have a lot of activities. We can adapt to all these activities.

We gamble only when we have free time and if we don't have it, we don't need to gamble. You can use an alarm to remind you how long you have been gambling. That way, you will know when to stop. This requires strong discipline and you have to try.

If you want to have fun with gambling, you can spend long time with $0.05 in every game you played.

If you want to gamble for money, you can use martingale strategy but it can be a way to lose huge amount of money. Do not go beyond your weekly budget.
