Shorting your play time in gambling is the best strategy in gambling, apart from knowing how to manage your bankroll, don't spend too much time on a casino game, the longer the time you spent the more you lose, this is the truth that many gamblers won't accept at first until they realize it later.

For them it's about your addiction, and that's what brings in more money, and I am here to announce to you that time fixation is also a good way in gambling, spending 20 minutes in casino a day is better than someone who spend 1 hour.

One can actually lose everything he's got within a minute of settling down to gamble while the person who spent hours gambling will go home losing very little amounts or nothing at all. So, it is not about how long you spend gambling but how much you spend while gambling. This then brings us to a solution; setting gambling budgets. Once he has fixed amount to gamble with and he is also disciplined enough to stick to his gambling budget, he can gamble as much as he wants and still go home intact.

It is only a gambler who has no other job that will spend the whole day gambling. Once you have have a job aside gambling,  managing your time to accommodate your job, your gambling and any other activity will be easier.

no amount of time can make you rich when you play casino games but while we already conclude this, maybe we should just bet the whole bankroll we have to bet in just one binary game win or lose after all you spend a minute or 5 hours in a casino you will still end up losing when you come back. that seems not a bad idea than wasting a lot of time in a casino when there are more things to do.  Cheesy

the miner game actually for me, i can spend hours playing the game. lost some money and then logout happy. it is still luck-based but it felt like i died several times and come back to life again.

That’s absolutely true and the biggest reason is the house edge. The house edge ensures the victory of the house against the players. The only way to fool this security system is to play less. The more you play, the more certain that you will lose. If you play a x2 game where your chances of winning is 48% (52% for the house), you may fool the math for once or twice. When you play the same game for a thousand times, then you will lose 48% of the games. Believe in science.

Theory always looking good in the paper, but not in reality.
In the long term, the gamble will be not fun anymore with that way .
This might work for certain people who dont care about win or lose, and many people will fail because of many reasons.

It will be more simple with set daily/weekly profit target and loss limit.

This has some degree of facts but I think every gambler have their unique way of gambling and play in accordance with their skills because winning is important, it's not how many you play but the winning you had while playing them, there are sometimes you play and you will think the world is by your side.

Winning 5 time and losing 2 times in an hour is better than losing 2 times in under 20 minutes and call it a day, small time duration will be difficult for some people and they might not even gain something meaningful in that range. Just as I said earlier, each gambler has its way of winning, so time night not be a factor of winning and if you are sensible and smart player, addiction wouldn't be your problem.

1. Have a amount limit you can risk on gambling every week.

2. Choose your favourite day in a week for gambling.

3. Have a time count down when gambling, to avoid spending too much time.

Go back home or close your laptop once your time is up, and wait for the coming day, go back to your daily life and business, chase your goals using your business and invest more money on assets.

Do you agree or disagree? Drop your reason why.

I love this advice, they are good and acute but I think each gambler that loves casino games should observed their way of playing and the default time they used in playing and should stick to that time, it will help them manage their addiction life and potential addiction road to gambling.

the longer the time you spent the more you lose,

Do you know that this sentence implies that you will lose when gambling, so the less you play the less you lose? It's like saying: when you step into a hot lava, the less time you spend there the better. You're going to get burned, but try to limit your time in Cheesy
If you think so, instead of telling people to play less, tell them not to play at all. It's better to not lose anything than lose a little, right?

Time matters because when you play for hours you get tired and you no longer feel comfortable. You just feel a drive to end the session with a win, so that you don't come home empty handed, so limiting yor gambling sessions is important, but I wouldn't say that you should play less because you lose less.

Even though it looks as though it is a fact because gamblers have regretted staying longer than necessary as a reason for losing but if you have a good emotional balance, that should not pose a challenge. To manage your bankroll is the first task and not how long spent on the game.
The Truth is that there is no rule book to this, many has stayed long and loss while some has actually stayed longer and gain what the had lost from the beginning, so it's not easy to state which works and which doesn't.
It's best to have a target before entry, has a reasonable amount you hope to win, don't be greedy, and also have the amount you can actually afford to lose too and work with that, it may not be Rosey everyday but you won't be completely wrecked.

I understand that the long time spent on gambling can become an issue when the gambler is not capable to control his emotions and then he can gamble out of his bankroll. But a gambler who has much emotional stability, he takes care of his budget and never goes against it even though it is still a difficult task especially when you are losing.

Since my first day in gambling, I have always only made sports bets, and we all know that placing sports bets doesn't take much time, which means that hardly a person who only makes sports bets will spend many hours at the casino and hardly a person who only does Sports betting is unlikely to be at the casino every day. but some time ago I decided to try games of chance that depend on luck to win, I confess that to this day I remember that day well, I had no idea how to play and I didn't investigate, I just put money in and started playing

I placed 0.20$ on each spin, after a few spins I saw that I won 3.60$, I continued playing, after a few minutes I won 6$, I continued playing, I had already spent 2 hours playing and I had already made 3x of my deposit, so I continued playing and I started losing, the losing streaks were many and it just left me shocked and after 5 hours I lost everything, I lost the money I deposited and I lost the money I won. As a result, that day I realized that gambling games that depend on luck consume many hours of play, it seems like time passes quickly when the person is playing, I stopped playing these gambling games that depend on luck altogether. but I highly doubt that people who play them will be able to play for just 20 minutes

By having a limit on the amount of money for gambling, gamblers should be able to control their gambling so that it is not excessive and can adjust the allocation of funds needed for gambling. He does not need to deposit more money if he suffers a loss and loses all his gambling funds for the week. But most people won't understand and instead deposit more money so they can continue gambling and try to win.

He can choose his favourite day to gamble, but usually when he is tempted to gamble longer, he can change it all and will gamble almost every day. This will affect the allocation of funds he has prepared for gambling, which could require even more money.

But if he can limit his gambling time and money, he may still be able to maintain his gambling and even enjoy it. But only a small number of people can do it, while others will lose control of their gambling.

Bankroll and time management should be managed accordingly, even if you promised yourself that you are going to play for only one hour the temptation to continue will always be there when there are funds to use in your bankroll, you cannot play responsibly without managing both effectively so when you're playing be sure the time you allocate is commensurate with your bankroll with at least additional hour to wind up your session

I don't think so there are players who spend a short period but still lose a lot of money and there are players who spend hours but he is ok and enjoying it, it's more on the mindset of the player, there are no specific hours of playing but there are minimum and maximum hours based on the bankroll and how the gambler can wind up himself before he calls it a day in a casino.

Thank you for your advice OP  Wink and of course your suggestion has been discussed by many people on this forum stating similar things as you mentioned and indeed it is very important for gamblers.
returning to the topic you discussed, in my opinion it is true that gamblers must be able to limit their time in gambling and not gamble excessively. This is no longer about intention but an obligation that must be implemented. If we can use as little time as possible, we will definitely not experience what is called addiction. , if we spend too long gambling it can definitely lead to addiction and this is something that must be avoided, I appreciate your advice. I hope that many suggestions like this can open the eyes of gamblers not to use gambling continuously.

1. Have a amount limit you can risk on gambling every week.
When gambling, you should always have a limit, don't just gambling without setting limit for yourself, don't think because you are earning much, then you will gamble anyhow, even if your income is high, you should always get limit for yourself, whenever the limit have been hit, then it's better you stop gambling for that moment. The people which i notice they gamble anyhow without having limit are the once addicted to gambling, addicted gambler can spend all what they have on gambling, they don't care doing that, some will even sell some of their properties, and some will take loan to gamble which is really wrong.

2. Choose your favourite day in a week for gambling.
I don't really agree with, i do gamble whenever i want, i don't have a specific day that i choose to gamble. I do gamble whenever am free and i want to gamble, i cant be waiting a a specific day to gamble, sometime i do gamble almost everyday, i don't think their is any day within the week which i think is my lucky day. If i can get the satisfaction and relaxation which i need from gambling, then i don't have any problem, so i disagree with choosing a specific day to gamble within the week.

3. Have a time count down when gambling, to avoid spending too much time.
If you are not exceeding your limit, then i don't care about how long you spend on gambling site. You might gamble within a short period of time and spend more money on gambling, than gambling for a long time and spend little amount of money. I know some people that gamble with just little amount, so if people like that gamble for long term, i don't have problem with that as long as they are not exceeding limit.

Your point is valid theoretically speaking because of the existence of house edge. Casino will win the longer you play because they have the game advantage as well as the bankroll that’s why gambler shouldn’t be playing for long.

However gambling should be use for entertainment purposes which means the duration of playing shouldn’t be a big deal as long as the player is still enjoying. Playing for a short might nit give satisfaction that later on makes gambler play again. Gambling should be use not for profit purposes only but also to use as source of entertainment. We should just enjoy the game.

I don't deny the OP's point of view, but if that bet is unlucky and loses completely, are you sure you will stop playing?

I think discipline in theory is far from the reality of experience, and most of us gamble without any limits. Whether it's professional players or people looking for relaxation, I don't believe time management is the basis, I think gamblers will also have their own views on the approach. Although what the OP can apply to some cases with good results does not mean it happens on a large scale, with the gambling industry, the balance we think about is really something that I think is a lie, but it's easy to see that the joy or money we get from it somehow makes us forget the fact that the people who create it are the winners.

Do you agree or disagree? Drop your reason why.

Having a time limit in the game will only reduce the amount we will spend but the losses will remain the same because if you don't produce anything in 20 minutes then all the money you have bet is lost whereas if you play for 1 hour the money spent will be greater but the chance of winning will be greater too although it does not guarantee that you will get a profit.
Whatever strategy is used in gambling, for example limiting playing time, or limiting the amount of money used, we must believe that it does not open up profit opportunities, so we should be able to respond to gambling correctly if we want to have fun or make a profit, do it according to our limits so as not to damage our finances.

You're right. In order not to become dependent but rather to enjoy the game, a measure is necessary. It could be a weekend with friends or someday when you play and have some money with you that you are willing to spend freely. To get a dopamine hit, don't overindulge in gaming. I like the expression that applies to a short-term stay in the game: “I came, I saw, I conquered!”

Yeah, I think the more time you spend gambling, the bigger the chance you end up in the hole.  To try and prevent that, maybe set an alarm or something so you don't lose track of time.  That way you can stay focused and not make stupid bets just cause you're bored.  Also probably smart to decide how much cash you're willing to part with before you even start and  that way you dont blow more money than you were planning and end up regretting the whole thing.

Exactly, some gamblers who are addicted go through scenarios like this where they forget the time to go home and end up being carried away and trapped in a black hole far from the exit, there is nothing but a cycle that they will continue to do indefinitely. unless you can achieve consciousness. The OP has mentioned a good suggestion for an approach to not end up addicted, and to encourage that it can actually be done is by adding warnings as you said one of which might be setting an alarm to remind you that the session is over, no matter at the end by losing or winning.

On the other hand, the first point that must always be paid attention to is awareness, they must really be able to maintain full awareness when gambling, because that will be able to minimize unwanted things, especially so that you don't get carried away by pleasant circumstances. even though it is nothing more than a trap to get you further involved, limiting time, hopes/expectations and budget in each session is really recommended for being a healthy gambler.

the real enemy when it comes to addiction is yourself and not anyone else. hence, before you reach that stage much better to observe list of possible things that you can easily do to prevent such scenario such as -
1. set your daily/weekly/monthly limit and be firm with it
2. look for alternative activities whenever your bankroll is already busted -exercise, doing some chores or unfinished projects at home
3. find other hobbies that you think can replace gambling if you are not playing
4. connect with your loved ones, family, friends, relatives or people around you. sometimes they are just waiting for you to have conversation with them. with gadgets everywhere, for sure, some people don't know anymore how to socialize
5. meditate
6. think of the things that you really want to buy if you spend all your money to your games

I agree with this because I still use this method of budgeting money and time to gamble every weekend, because I have work every weekday so I don't want to disturb my work by taking time to gamble, so I set it at the end week to gamble and also set a budget for how much should I use to gamble on the weekend and how long should I gamble on the weekend so that I have an alarm to stop playing so I don't get addicted to gambling.

I'm happy that I have a wife who usually reminds me as a second alarm to stop me from gambling when I'm really so caught up in the fun that I lose track of time, so up until now I've never felt addicted because gambling for me is just fun, especially playing casino games. Unless it's sports betting, I usually prioritize sports betting over gambling in casinos.  Wink

There is no guarantee that the shorter timing you use will lower your losing rate,  because even you first game can be a lose,  and your last games may become consistent winning,  I am not saying that it advisable to spend more time on bets to be able to win,  but what I am saying is that,  in as much as you spend short time to lower your risk of losing so also you can also increase your gambling time to taste the winning at some point and that how it goes.

Maintaining a bankroll will definitely lower your risk ratio in ultimately help you to operate within a limit of financial commitment and that will ultimately save your ass from spending all your reserve balance.

No matter what time you soent,  the ultimate thing to do is to always bet according to what you can afford to handle at all time and still be in the best position to make effortless gambling in next time,  because most of the gamblers tend to

Just like the first comment also point out,  if you are gambling for fun,  then you need to use an amount as low as $0.05 which is a good low amount that can give you a long period of game session to keep playing with a lower bankroll.

So for a gambler,  you have to first of all decide what you want is it fun or wagering to make money,  each will present you with their peculiar risk and demands and you have to align yourself to them accordingly.

But that is when you gambling for the fun of it,  bit those gambling for the money won't apply such technique but they will rather stake big amount and risk everything just to hit the jacj
For them it's about your addiction, and that's what brings in more money, and I am here to announce to you that time fixation is also a good way in gambling, spending 20 minutes in casino a day is better than someone who spend 1 hour.
Yeah for those chasing the winning,  it all about the money and they can stake any amount of money just to accumulate huge total winning, just like one of the celebrities in my country who staked almost 5 million of our local currency on a 1.5 ods but yet still lost so it is what it is,  the higher the amount the higher your chances of losing so chasing the money comes with bigger risks.
