Just as my report on this thread as trolling is unhandled.

It's obviously not trolling and you seem to be missing the point of what I am saying when you say this.

The op has shown very little empathy by wring this thread.

It is not easy fighting in no particular order.

Diabetes.
Allergies.
Asthma.
Obesity.

The list is longer.

That thread is one of the most beneficial
thread on BTC for me at least. As it gives me the energy to fight for my health. Thus being able to enjoy the BTC I have.

If you need a thread to do push-ups, which is very poor for improving your health, and on top of that a thread that says there will be a connection between the push ups you do and the price of bitcoin, you might as well go to a witch doctor to improve your health and make the price go up.

That thread shouldn't be on that section, that's what I am saying. Do you mind if it's moved to off-topic or will that affect your health?

Well am still surprised why some people are not seeing this from your own angle because it so obvious that thread is supposed to be coming under off topic what business has push got to do with economic, they should just acept there mistake and do the needful.

OP has a point: none of this belongs in Economics > Speculation. It should be in Off-topic.

If the topic is still active, but on the wrong board, you can report it.

Already did. It's 'unhandled'.

No body welcomed me here when I posted my first report that's not how treat a lady 😊. I joined this challenge 3 weeks ago and to be honest it was so difficult you men are really trying, when I started I was doing only 30 pushups a day and I did 10 in the morning 10 in the afternoon and 10 in the evening, but now I'm doing 100 pushups a day and I separate it so it won't be difficult for me to achieve. So far so good I have already posted my report, thanks dirtykeyboard for including me in the list and thanks to everyone for making this challenge move forward.

These are the threads my local friends utilize very well. WO was the favourite one, but some of you started to giving them neutrals and trust exclusions, so my friends decided to use different threads where Jay is active. Because he loves every posts where the writer acts like they are Bitcoin maximalist. Since these threads are big, my friends exchanges merits between them and nobody notice that if no one checks their profile. It seems you guys started to looking into those threads as well. You got no chill man.  Huh Huh

I will add that if people reading posts like this or that account, selflessly doing their push-ups, supposedly following the general order, believe in what the seekers of merit write, then grant them the right to be called who these people take them for.

I caught one account in that thread, which at first introduced itself as a woman who had started doing push-ups for the first time and very soon successfully fulfilled the daily norm.

If there are such idiots who allow us to believe someone who, as it was written here, "decided to get my butt off the couch and do some exercise" , let them be idiots, allowing themselves to be fooled.
Those who did sports will continue to do them, but where there is faith simply in the "word," there is always an advantage in deceiving.
Those who want to be deceived will be deceived. On the other hand, what is the point of all the communication on the forum if we allow others to "pull the wool over our eyes"?

For me, if I had to choose the "stupidest thread", (and let me be very clear, I don't see any 'stupid threads' on this site), it would not be this thread or that one but the Wall Observer thread. Would it not make more sense to yelp about that one? I mean, it even went to the point where administrators disabled signatures on that thread.

This is all just pointless bickering.
If WO still active without signature and still got a lot of engagement well it has a purpose after all. Anyway youre right this is just a pointless argument.

I wonder what mods has to say on this case though. Should be move or there is a purpose. I pretty sure many have reported this for those against it but since there is no (actions) yet then there must be a consensus whether its an off topic or somehow a true speculation thread type topic.

Maybe those who participated are actually doing some push up, why not its healthy, if its reaches a dozen pages means that it has users engaging with the thread and some are interested.

If you want to improve your health through physical activities, this guidelines can help you more.

Physical Activity Guidelines for Americans 2nd edition (Office of Disease Prevention and Health Promotion).

You have to do it daily, at least 5 days a week, from moderate to vigorous activities with different exercises, not only for building up muscles.

If you were to read the thread you would see I had a really good routine and was not posting my pushups.

You would see I was doing three Twenty minute stationary bike rides while doing resistance bands. Also walking up and down a few dozen flights of stairs. plus my modified pushups.

I hurt my toe which knocked out most of my exercise. so I know that stopping my routine which was encouraged by that thread was not so healthy.

To think forum members health is stupid and to attack a thread that helps people stay fit. Just pisses me off a lot.

I fucking post and post and post. If I were paid by the post for my signature I would be making quite a bit of money.

I do not get paid by the post. My signature deal has zero restrictions.

I can post as much or as little as I want.

My rants are over in this thread.

Op, I don't consider that thread a stupid one because if it's helping someone to improve their health then what's wrong in that approach? And, to be honest, most of the users who post in that thread are somehow investors of Bitcoin and there're some OG's as well in that thread. I believe that's a good thread for them and it doesn't impact the forum in anyway, and that's why I believe there's nothing wrong if that thread remains as part of this forum even if Bitcoin reaches $100k and even crosses it.

Now I see people starting to criticize the OP for creating this thread. If you guys can accept a thread like that one, why don't you accept this thread?

Perhaps the tone of the OP's initial post had something to do with it. When you begin a thread with the provocative title "The stupidest thread...", it's clear that the OP has a particular agenda. If he felt the thread was in the wrong board, he could have simply reported it to the moderators and moved on.

It would be best if you did not make fun of everything. Even if that thread is just for Humour purposes, you should know that not everyone will get it. People are stupid enough to believe everything on the internet. Otherwise, they wouldn't invest in those Ponzi schemes that promise 100% returns within 24 hours.

So what if someone even takes the thread seriously? Where is the harm in that? Did you even read what the thread is about?

Also, read what philipma1957 wrote just before me. It has been scientifically proven that physical exercise can have a positive impact on our health and I really dont see how such a thread can harm anyone.

Quote
BTW, are we also going to refer to high ranked users that makes replies in those acclaimed merit hunting threads as merit farmers? Let us be more transparent and diplomatic in handling things in the forum so that it will create a fair atmosphere for all, be it low ranked or high ranked.
It's true regardless it low ranked or high ranked, they're merit farmers.

Please avoid making such idiotic generalizations. Unless, of course, you believe members like JayJuanGee, philipma1957, NotATether, Timelord2067... (some of the most recognizable members of the forum that I noticed from a quick glance) are simply trying to farm merit points.

The problem is the op of this thread is attempting to harm all of us doing the exercise routine.

If the thread gets ended people may stop the routine.

I propose that all the people doing the exercises should report this thread as spam and as a direct attack on their health.

This forum bans threads that cause harm.

This thread has the distinct possibility of hurting a lot of people.
71 members are doing exercise and physically helping their bodies.

and the op troller wants to stop it. this could hurt 71 people. pretty mean spirited person

I can see that you're really concern about the health of the users in that thread, which is good . But the pushups was voluntary no one was forced to partake in the event .

That's why most time they kept saying that is not relevant that one must hit 100 pushups and one shouldn't over push their self to point of getting themselves hurt. And the funny thing is that most users there are not even doing the pushups they are just posting reports daily but still they are users there that are really pulling it off.

And the thing is that the thread is still related to bitcoin speculation, and same time is still helping some folks to be fit and healthy. So I don't actually see anything wrong with the thread , those who can't keep up can choose  to stop to prevent any harm .

Short posts with low character counts are not always spam.

I know, I was referring to the rule that almost all the signature and bounty campaigns have for posts to be above a certain number of characters for them to be accepted as paid posts.

That's the problem with this thread the op has no understanding of the value of that thread.  Quite frankly I am surprised this hateful thread has not been deleted for the trolling of a thread that has helped the physical well being of 70 plus forum members.

I don't know if moderators will delete the post or not, but considering the amount of criticism it received, OP should have locked the thread himself by now. I don't know what he is waiting for. He hasn't been responding to posts much as well.

You can look at the gambling discussion section to see that not every campaign has the same standards. There’s plenty of people getting paid week after week for the most generic and frivolous kind of posts. Stake was notorious for hiring some of the worst spammers in the forum. As long as you meet the bare minimum requirements, some managers do not care about the substance or quality of a post.

Bro, I get your point but you can't stop spammers from making generic shitposts by moving a thread that is doing more good than bad to the Off-topic section because they will still find a way to do that. We can't move every thread to the off-topic section with the logic that there are some generic shitposters posting in those threads to increase their post counts to get paid by the campaign they are a part of. What are moderators for? We should report such posts to the moderators and they will deal with them.

If we talk about that specific thread we are discussing here, what those who are participating in the challenge do is make a report every day about how many push-ups they did, and that report consists of barely 50 characters, and I don't think any campaign, even if the manager doesn't care about the posts of the users, will accept posts that don't even consist of at least 100 characters. And, if a user who makes unsubstantial posts in that thread apart from the reports being made only to increase their post count should get reported to the moderators and I'm pretty sure those posts will get deleted.

I normally don't bother with meta as thread policing can be boring. But since the thread the op is attacking directly affects my health in a positive way I am talking or should I say writing here.

I mean nowadays, because when I registered there was a lot of spam, but someone tell me this isn't stupid.

100 Push-Ups A Day Until Bitcoin Is $100K Challenge

I had seen the thread before and I guess because of the title I hadn't stopped to read it but now I see that it is 174 pages long, a spam megathread at its best.

At first you might think that this is just a funny way of doing sport, but no, if you know anything about physical education, doing 100 push-ups a day is bollocks to begin with, but here's what's most relevant:

I imagine it's a fake, but if Satoshi really said that, in this case he said some nonsense. You can be very intelligent and say some nonsense from time to time, it's not incompatible.

And in this case, to think that doing 100 push-ups has anything to do with what happens in the price has more to do with going with a loincloth than with any rational speculation.

That does not belong to speculation, as the first comment says:

This may seem related to bitcoin speculation but it is not bitcoin speculation at all. We are not speculation on bitcoin price but to know if someone can know if he or she can go up to 100 push ups before bitcoin hit six digits. This belongs to off-topic.

I'm going to report it again to off topic. I'm sure it won't grow at the rate of 22 pages a month there.

Edit, I was going to report it and I see this:

For a thread that has about 174 pages, i think it's not the most stupidest thread ever but if it is, then the moderators failed in their duty and not about the creator of the thread nor the users who make replies on the thread be it those that are only farming merits or those that are genuinely taking part in the challenge.
How the moderatos failed in their duty if no one have reported the posts? the moderators aren't read every posts and delete it by themselves, but they're waiting someone else to make report first.

Maybe OP made a report and it got snubbed, if not OP's thread should have been needless.

I reported this thread as trolling and trying to cause physical harm to those exercising and maintaining their health while they wait for btc to cross 100k.

And here is my report to moderator:
Inasmuch as everyone has different motives for taking part in a thread, we can't classify everyone as having the same mindset. This thread is a kind of trolling for those who have genuine purpose for participating in a thread.
