UFC 290 Bets and Prediction

Alexander Volkanovski (1.26) VS Yair Rodriguez (3.95)

Yair Rodriguez is a cool guy actually I really want the way he fights just like watching Anime and action movies with all the kicks but this is reality and Rodriguez is applying it smoothly with his fights, but the thing that I don't like about Yair Rodriguez is that style would surely cause a lot of mistakes and Volkanovski could capitalize on that and I can not trust his stamina those wild kicks and movement would likely require a lot of stamina I I often times seeing him catches his breath on his fights sometimes on the last rounds, and Alexander Volkanovski's fight IQ is amazing if you see his fight against Islam Makhachev that is superb even though he lost he showed that Makhachev can not bully him on the ground and that is outstanding,

Brandon Moreno (1.47) VS Alexandre Pantoja (2.70)

This is going to be a revenge fight for Brandon Moreno back on their fight on May 19, 2018, and right now Brandon Moreno had said that he was very confident going to the fight, and for me this is going to be a banger of a fight a close fight for sure both of these guys are well-rounded for sure in terms of striking and the ground but for me, Brandon Moreno really has the heart and he will never back down to this for me I like Brandon Moreno even more so my pick is Brandon Moreno,

Robert Whittaker (1.26) VS Dricus Du Plessis (3.95)

Dricus Du Plessis has average boxing and he got strength with his striking he also got good grappling and ground game but for me, Robert Whittaker has superior in striking particularly boxing with a mix of kicks and when it comes to his fight IQ he has superb in that part, and good takedown defense, I don't know what to say but I see Robert Whittaker just like Alexander Volkanovski, and what can I say they both appear as our favorite wrestler as Stone Cold Steve Austin for Volk and The Hulk Hogan for Whittaker, for sure I think that Robert Whittaker could win this for sure so my pick will be Robert Whittaker,

Not to hi-jack UFC 290 but Jones vs. Miocic is official! They will headline UFC 295 on Nov. 11

Dana's announcement: https://rumble.com/v2yqvrr-dana-white-announces-jon-jones-vs-stipe-miocic-to-headline-ufc-295.html

That's fine.  I think it should be encouraged that regs itt post and share any interesting developments from the UFC.  Wink  And while it's def gonna be a decent match up, it's still not Ngannou vs Jones.  Sad  That would've been the MMA heavy weight match up for the ages.  If I were in the UFC brass, I'd offer Ngannou a one fight contract that's worth something Ngannou would find hard to refuse.  That fight needs to happen imho...  For the fans.
~

Yep. Jones vs Miocic seems predictable already but it's not what people demand. Dana saw people are eager to see their fight during their PFL face-off. If arranged, we'll see them in the cage next year.

Meanwhile, Helwani said the fight between Fury and Ngannou will probably happen sooner than expected. They are making it happen which will be bigger than UFC 295 and if they really want to see which PPV will be availed more, they could schedule it on Nov 11 as well.

Tatsuro Taira - Edgar Cháirez

Tatsuro Taira is a fighter who was born in Naha, Okinawa, Japan, he is 23 years old and has 5 years of professional career, and he already had 13 fights throughout his professional career, something very interesting about Tatsuro Taira and that he still hasn't lost in any fight, in the 13 fights he's had 3 wins were by knockout, 7 by submission and 3 by decision, while his opponent Edgar Cháirez was born in Mexicali, Baja California, Mexico, he's 27 years old, he has 7 years of professional career in which he has had 14 fights, winning 10 fights and losing 4 fights, with 6 wins by submission and 4 by knockout. I'll follow the bookmakers, for me Tatsuro Taira will win this fight

Alexander Volkanovski - Yair Rodriguez

Alexander Volkanovski was born in Shellharbour, New South Wales, he is 34 years old and has more than 10 years of professional career, in more than 10 of his professional career he had 27 fights in which he won 25 and lost only 2 fights. being that
He has 12 wins by knockout, 10 by decision and 3 by submission. on the other side we have Yair Rodríguez who was born in Parral, Chihuahua, Mexico, he is a fighter who is 30 years old, already has 12 years of professional career, had 19 fights in which he won 15 fights and lost in 3 fights, 6 wins by decision, 5 by knockout, 4 by submission, in my opinion despite Rodríguez being an athlete with a long professional career, he dominates several fighting styles, also in most of the fights he has won, I still see him losing in this fight, so for me Alexander Volkanovski won the fight

I think Yair will be crowned the new champ today. I've been watching him for quite a while now and I've never seen anything like him before. He's unique in so many aspects that you simply cannot ignore him anymore and that's why I think he is destined to become champion. Also , once he starts to let those kicks out ...it's simply a nightmare to get hit 3 or 4 times in a row by him.

Alexander is great , ferocious and so many others but his box body will make him a target that Yair cannot miss with his kicks. I also don't get it why Alexander is favorite in this fight with odds being so unfair in my opinion.

Here are my picks and prediction for the fight today,

Alexander Volkanovski VS Yair Rodriguez

The stake odds for this fight are 1.28 for Volkanovski and 4.10 for Rodriguez, for this fight, Alexander Volkanovski surely will be very technical in this fight, and by all means, he needs to be careful in making mistakes but for me, I got high hopes in his boxing for sure, he just needs to take care of unexpected kicks from Yair Rodriguez and when it comes to wrestling for sure Alexander Volkonovski is one genius on defense as he showcases it against Islam Makhachev, for me, Yair also got a chance in winning when his kicks connected in the unexpected situation, I think this is going to be a banger I don't see that this is going to be onesided, and I got a bad feeling on this fight but for me on paper Volkonovski will win this so my pick is for Alexander Volkanovski,

Brandon Moreno VS Alexandre Pantoja

The stake odds for this fight are 1.50 for Moreno and 2.85 for Pantoja, this is going to be another banger but this going to be a back-and-forth fight as we can see Alexandre Pantoja had a history over Brandon Moreno and Pantoja already win 2 times against Moreno, but I have seen an interviewing Brandon Moreno that he isn't really that pressure going against Alexandre Pantoja, for this fight this is going to be a close match we can see a really entertaining fight like the Jiri Prochazka VS Glover Teixeira fight or the Alexander Volkanovski VS Islam Makhachev fight kind of entertaining, but I am going into the more focus Brandon Moreno,

Robert Whittaker VS Dricus Du Plessis

The stake odds for this fight are 1.28 for Whittaker and 4.20 for Du Plessis, Now this fight Dricus Du Plessis surely got power in his shots, and man it's going to go down to getting Robert Whittaker to be one shot by Du Plessis because Whittaker doesn't have a great chin but Robert Whittaker is way too fast for Dricus I think Whittaker will be very technical in this fight for sure we could surely see a banger and because of that many shots from Robert Whittaker and because of that strike output he can knockout Dricus Du Plessis, so my pick is for Robert Whitaker

Okay, this is going to be huge. This is obviously a dream fight for a lot of people to see. Two great fighters fighting against each other for glory. It doesn't get better than this. UFC 290 is still going to be interesting. But a lot more people are going to be interested in the Jones vs Miocic upcoming fight.

(Interesting to see a lot of people moving to Rumble. Probably this is the only platform of free speech after Twitter)

From my point of view the UFC 290 will be so far the best UFC event of the year, I don't know why but I have a bad feeling about Moreno, I feel like he will lose the belt this weekend, but maybe it's only a random feeling, and for this event I only have one bet, and that's Yair Rodrigez to win, I catch an earlier x4.5 on that fight, so, let's see if "El pantera" do the magic and make us hit the moon this weekend.

This is obviously a very interesting UFC event. The main event is obviously going to be great. Let’s see if Alexander Volkanovski can actually win. Also interested to see the Robert Whittaker vs Du Plessis fight. The Dan Hooker fight is also going to be interesting. That UFC does look to be interesting after a few days.

I think in the fight of the main event, Alexander Volkanovski is going to be the winner. The fight is obviously going to be really close. But my opinion is that Alexander Volkanovski has a better experience, and also has lost one fight less compared to his opponent. I don’t know if losing one last match is going to matter too much, but the experience is obviously going to have a big role to play.

It's a long shot, Yair can make it if he can stun Volk in the first round with his high kick and with combo follow-up. Once Volk survives in the next rounds, it may be hard to tell whether Yair can make it. There are others who also see Yair going to win. It's just not easy to see Volkanovski not fight for his way. He has greater motivation here to get a rematch against Islam.

No way I would bet for Nick BO with the current odds. He was compared to Brock Lesnar by Bisping because he is a big guy but can also move fast like a flyweight.

^  Moreno vs Pantoja is the best match up in the roster imho.  Could be possible FOTN even.  And I don't even know how Pantoja is lined at 2.70 here.  Lol.  That's good value as I think the fight is gonna be closer contrary to what everybody thinks.  I mean who has Moreno fought in his last 5?  4 of them were vs Fig which has questionable cardio and KKF who was looking pretty good before the kick to the body.  I don't think Moreno is as good as the books think he is...  But dunno about you guys, that's just me.

Val Woodburn went in short notice so I'm not really surprised.  No value everywhere but Nickal via KO at 3.05 could hit if you really want to bet on the match.

I find it funny that we had a title fight between Moreno and Pantoja in flyweight division, but only few here said few words about it. Just "we had a good fight" kind of comments Cheesy A title fight and people seems to show no interested in it. Neither here, nor on YouTube. Are Moreno of flyweight boring? Or Pantoja is not much of a challenger for Moreno (even though he is top2).

Lol, duelbits give 1.04 on Bo Nickal in his fight against Valentine Woodburn Cheesy I think I have seen such low odds only in football.

I think that Rodriguez gonna be declassed badly this weekend. You are correct when talking about Rodriguez stamina. He is always breathing hard in late rounds. Take his opponents previous fight - after 5 rounds against one top p4p fighters, he was ready to continue. Rodriguez is a master of all kind of kicks. Gimli, even though isnt highest fighter, got nice reach. He can take Yairs leg, take down or counterpunch hard, and Yair has weak boxing skills. Yair already lost to Holloway, and Holloway is like Volkanovski on low settings Cheesy

This is what I think may happen Volkanovski might pull a stamina reduction procedure on Rodriguez well he might let Yair Rodriguez do those kicks and knee and strikes and all Volkanovski would do is just evade all those but this is pretty much dangerous for Volk, he might end up getting hit by those unpredictable movements of Yair Rodriguez, but for me the one that could landed a error in his game will be the one that may have a casualty in getting pulverize for me Yair Rodriguez would likely end up in so much mistakes and Volk could capitalize on that,

Actually, I don't like Robbie Lawler coming back to the UFC, but the one that I like to see just like you,  Jack Della Maddalena, Jimmy Crute, and Tatsuro Taira was the 3 fighters for the Preliminary that I want to win, even though they are likely in the Preliminary their fight will surely rock the octagon on a better result for sure, so yeah I will take note on this fight will not going to bet for them but will be picking them on winning,

Robbie Lawler is a legend well even though he is a returning fighter he is good back in his day, and I surely like to see if there are an improvement on him or father time already gotten into him, I just want to know the result, but anyway I likely don't want to see much fights that are going the distance, but surely the fight that have gone the distance with a bang, but seeing most of the fights of these fighters we can surely approve with their performance for sure,

About Rodriguez's cardio, it isn't really that bad.  Didn't he have 5 rounders vs Holloway and TKZ?  Both went to the last round and he still had enough left in the tank to get going.

He had two 5 rounders (Volks has 5 5 rounders in last 6 fights and always looked like he can go for more round by the end of the fight). Maybe it wasnt good to say that he is bad at stamina, but then it is better to say that his fighting style does not match the amount stamina he has Cheesy He is not a heavy breather in late rounds, but Yair in first round is completely different from Yair in third round. All those high kick, round kick, jumps that he likes eat to much stamina, way to much. While their effectiveness is questionable.

That is actually surprising, if it is hard for ufc to find enough fighters to close all the wholes in card. Wont believe there arent much middleweight fighters to fill every promotion division. Middleweight is is like an average adult  Grin finding a heavyweight fighter - well that is hard. Finding middleweights seems easy. Or the problem is that fighters dont want to cut?

If the number declines then the Middleweight will become stagnant again on Israel Adesanya only, if the winning of Adesanya keeps to continue, well after Alex Pereira decided to go up the Light heavyweight to face Jamahal "Sweet Dreams" Hill for the belt, while Jan Błachowicz is going down the Middleweight to get the belt from Israel Adesanya, talk about changing weight class, It will not likely have a solution to the problem but it is going to be an interesting twist of events,

I kind of agree even the Preliminary Card is surely jam pack with great fights Robbie Lawler is back, for me, I think he should stay retired, but anyway he wants to fight and so I think Niko Price is a great match for him, but anyway let's just home the legendary Robbie Lawler win this, Jack Della Maddalena is a great watch actually all of his fights was insane so yeah keeping an eye for this, Jimmy Crute is also a recommended watch aswell, and the undefeated Japanese fighter Tatsuro Taira will surely force a submission on his opponent,

It is just a bummer that Deiveson Figueiredo and Sean Brady can not fight at this event Figueiredo is Not Medically Cleared but without any detail yet, and Brady got Infection,

It's going to be a battle. Unfortunate to see Yair is paired with someone bound to do more. Volkanov will make sure he gets close and wrestle Yair, this is going to be challenging for both since Yair also understands this is what Volkanov would need to do so Yair can't use his kicks.

There are so many good matches in this event. Moreno by Decision is my gamble, just maybe the fight will last.
Whittaker is up to get a 3rd fight against Izzy, I think it's an easy win against Dricus.

I Agree that distance will be a crucial equalizer for this fight and Volk will use that to his advantage, and if Yair Rodriguez will not train his boxing because I think he is training on it now, with his grappling and takedowns because that will be the crucial thing with this fight that kicks will not be effective in a close quarter fight, but Rodriguez also has some knee and flying knee to get Volkanovski, but for sure Alexander Volkanovski's boxing and fight IQ will be extremely tested here,

This time whole main card looks promising plus Lawlers fight from prelims Cheesy Another test for Volkanovski. How many title defences he has already made? Few more and new UFC record? Arent Volkanovski and Makhachev are planning to fight again? First they were not planning to do it, but later Volkan insisted on him winning their fight and media start to buzz again lately.

I am really excited for them to fight again, but for me, Alexander Volkonovski's next opponent Yair Rodriguez is not slack, and Volk has said that this is going to be one crazy fight because Yair's movement will be very difficult to predict because he got unique move and technique on his set, pretty much Alexander Volkanovski will use his wits and fight IQ in winning in this fight but for sure Rodriguez doesn't have infinite stamina and so Volk will surely capitalize on this,

This is the most packed UFC event that I have seen even the Preliminary Cards have a juicy fight that is likely a good watch from the main event and all of the main card fights are great, actually, I don't know where to start Alexander Volkanovski and Yair Rodriguez will be the sure banger of the night, and surely Brandon Moreno will defend his title to Alexandre Pantoja, we have Robert Whittaker fighting Dricus Du Plessis, from Dan Hooker, and Bo Nickal the Main card is really stacked with an amazing fight while the Preliminary card was also a great banger of a fight, starting with Robbie Lawler,  Jack Della Maddalena, Jimmy Crute, Tatsuro Taira and Edgar Cháirez, Vitor Petrino Terrence Mitchell was all the fighters that I have an idea with, going with the event,
