Here is my prediction for the UFC Fight Night: Dern vs. Hill

Mackenzie Dern VS Angela Hill

The stake odds for this fight are 1.57 for Derns and 2.41 for Hill Well, I can not say if Angela Hill improve his takedown defense but she always says in her interview that her takedown defense was improved, even so, Hill can not underestimate Mackenzie Dern in the stand-up even though all of her wins were on the ground her striking can surely cause her opponent to underestimate her on that field but when it comes to the ground she is superb, for me I think they will surely exchange blows on the stand-up and when Dern has softened Hill she can surely go with that submission from there, or if Hill is dominating the stand-up she will surely capitalize with the takedown, there are a lot of option for Dern for an attack so my pick is Mackenzie Dern,

Edmen Shahbazyan VS Anthony Hernandez

The stake odds for this fight are 2.70 for Shahbazyan and 1.47 for Hernandez, Edmen Shahbazyan is a pure striker but if given a chance when his opponent could give their back he can surely go with the rear naked choke, but Anthony Hernandez has a good submission and adapts his submission sets with every opponent he fights, I am really curious with Anthony Hernandez style it is like he is adapting when he was beaten by a grappler with a rear naked choke his next fight he will win via armbar then when Markus Perez defeated him with an Anaconda Choke he later would apply this with his next fight with Jun Yong Park and win via Anaconda choke I really think Anthony Hernandez has a lot of tools he can throw at Edmen Shahbazyan so my pick is Anthony Hernandez,

Andre Fialho VS Joaquin Buckley

The stake odds for this fight are 2.80 for Fialho and 1.44 for Buckley, Andre Fialho is a brawler surely he would strike but he is not really a technical fighter, while Joaquin Buckley has a combination of kicks and punches, but Buckley surely has an accurate kick, with this combination I think he got some range against Fialho, even though Fialho is much taller Buckley still got much range needed in giving Andre Fialho a hard time so my pick is Joaquin Buckley,

In hindsight Adesanya was too small for 205.  Pereira on the other hand could prolly be just right for 205 as he was obviously huge for 185.  He got chin checked by Adesanya prolly because he was dehydrating himself too much due to weight cutting.
Small in body but with big ego when he thought he could compete in higher division without putting any extra weight.

What are your predictions for upcoming UFC event guys?
I cant say that I am excited about main event and most other fights, except maybe one or two.
Mackenzie Dern should win but I am more interested to see if Joaquin Buckley will bounce back after two defeats.
It is not easy to predict this fights and I think we are going to see more surprise than usual.

This are my predictions for main card:

Mackenzie Dern
Anthony Hernandez
Loopy Godinez
Joaquin Buckley
Michael Johnson

Dana will see whether its worth paying again that leg operation if Chandler breaks Conor's leg. Conor is bound to lose with such condition, he is not fit to fight anymore.  A lot of fans would rather see Dana work together with PFL for Jones vs Ngannou. They should give it a shot this time.
UFC usually takes care of the expense of the fighters when they are injured during the fight night but they wont be having a specific health insurance apart from that.

When it comes to Francis Ngannou situation there is no way Dana White is going to give him any exposure or any cross promotion fights to boost PFL and Francis Ngannou.

~
For Poirier vs Gaethje, I think Gaethje will win because both of them are quite similar, but Gaethje has better KO rate.
I am rooting for Dustin Poirier in the rematch as he was able to finish Justin Gaethje in the first fight and it was entertaining and competitive till it lasted and Poirier is still in his prime and the catch is that it is for the BMF title Grin.

Lets watch how Conor gonna perform against Chandler by the end of current TUF show (if they gonna fight at all, because Conor did not fight Urijah Faber in TUF 22 finals). Either we see a return, followed probably by a fourth fight against Poirier, or Chandler would knock him out cold and Conor would retire. Btw, anyone knows if Conor still have number of fighter under contract, or his contract is so unique that he might fight anytime and anyone he wants?

Does McGregor still have clout as a UFC fighter?  I feel like there's no interest in him anymore.

Anyway, just a couple of bets for the event this weekend.  Buckley - Hernandez parlay at 2.07 and an underdog shot at Johnson at 2.25.
I'm not sure Conor still has influence in the UFC because his career in the UFC is over after he was beaten by Dustin Poirier and injured his ankle.
Even though he was once a great fighter in the UFC because he had two titles at once (lightweight and featherweight).
But it seems that there are no more fighters who will want to fight with him, especially now that he has increased his weight so that if he returns to fight, he has to move to a higher class.
Maybe Conor's return is just a back rumor that is still unclear about the certainty.

In this weekend's fight I can only bet on the Victoria Leonardo VS Natalia Silva fight and the victory Natalia Silva.

Totally. Pereira vs Błachowicz is a fair pair. Its not gonna be easy to beat Blachowicz, Pereira could even lose the fight once Jan bring the fight to the ground.

I am more excited about Pereira vs Blachowicz fight. This is second time Polish power is fighting guys, champions in a way, from middle weight. Izzy did not look good when he fought Jan. It was even a one sided fight, where Blachowicz threw Izzy on the ground like a kitten (not the kitten @YuginKadoya gets excited about Cheesy). In that fight Izzy did not manage to show his super striking. Now it is Pereira turn to face Blachowicz and imho he has more chances to win. Not because Blachowicz became older, slower and etc, but because Pereira is a heavy hitter.

In hindsight Adesanya was too small for 205.  Pereira on the other hand could prolly be just right for 205 as he was obviously huge for 185.  He got chin checked by Adesanya prolly because he was dehydrating himself too much due to weight cutting.

And Pereira isn't just a heavy hitter, Błachowicz is kinda chinny imho.  So it'll go down to the wrestling.  Błachowicz has decent TD's, question is if Pereira could defend them.

Lets watch how Conor gonna perform against Chandler by the end of current TUF show (if they gonna fight at all, because Conor did not fight Urijah Faber in TUF 22 finals). He is very well past his prime. To be honest, his prime days are not coming back. Does not matter if he puts on weight to fight in another weight class. He is not going to be as good as he was before. If he actually gets any good opponent it is going to be because of his mouth.
I feel like he has changed a lot after the Floyd Mayweather fight. Money has changed him a lot. He was never the same after he got the 100 million from Floyd Mayweather's fight. It is absolutely true that he is just trying to stay active on social media so that he is still relevant to people. After all his fighting is not relevant anymore to people.
His career ended after a fight against Khabib. His last best fight was against Alvarez, when in a first round he has knocked down Eddie several times, but that 4 punch combo in second round, that TKOed Eddie was last best performance of Conor. When he got those two belts, he went crazy and fame+money combo destroyed him. He was no longer hungry. He has no motivation to win anymore. No matter if he wins or lose next fight, he will get millions anyway. He might even step inside octagon and surrender on first second of first round and still be rich and famous.

People already know that he is going to get a huge amount of money from the UFC just because of stepping in the octagon. He doesn't even have to win. If he just gets in and throws some punches he is going to generate good revenue.

Probably not as good as he could before. But certainly good enough. It is absolutely true that he is not hungry anymore. He has got what he had always wanted which is money. Now he is just talking too much on the internet to keep people reminded that he was once one of the best fighters in the UFC.

For sure we can say that Angela Hill doesn't get a good grip if her opponent is a wrestler, and if you look at her records it is not really that good she got 2 submission losses, and her 10 losses with the decision are not really looking good for her versus Mackenzie Dern, I really don't know why the UFC suddenly fit this two to fight but Mackenzie Dern is ranked 8 while Hill is at 14, so this is a great deal of a fight for Angela Hill that could increase her reputation, while Mackenzie Dern can not get any but only glory,

Then this is the right chance for Angela Hill to show what she can truly do against a wrestler she has said in the interview that she is preparing and likely she knows what Mackenzie Dern can do so likely she is enhancing her takedown defense a lot more because she has said that is Mackenzie Dern can take her down, she surely wants to bust Mackenzie Dern open, and I think she is excited about it, but surely the risk in Mackenzie Dern territory which is the ground if it is Vast like what have Angela Hill might not think then she is in for a big surprise, I will not be surprise for an upset but it is really risky to bet for Hill,

If you look at the recent fight for Alexander Volkanovski he got a pretty much hard fight that he nearly makes an upset win, because the fight was really that close, and this fight was against Islam Makhachev and Yair Rodriguez surely got decent fights but I really think it is not really enough Volkanovski just got up a division and fought with the guy that caused much trouble in that division and even though he lost to Makhachev it is one of the classes fight for Islam Makhachev, in the UFC,

It was really a beautiful fight you will never know who is really going to win it was indeed a close match but surely Islam Makhachev is also surprised that Volkanovski is genuinely stopping him from his tracks and has a counter with what he has thrown, at Volk, with that kind of performance the people are now chanting Alexander Volkanovski's name but I think the next match or in their rematch Islam Makhachev will surely train and fill the gap where Volkanovski is pressuring him,

His career ended after a fight against Khabib. Well, it is all in the mindset for me Conor McGregor can surely return but his eagerness was not there anymore he surely needs to change that and like I have said Change his mindset he must change his approach to the things that he really wants and what he truly deserves, but time is still his enemy here he is not getting younger and just like Jon Jones there is a limit on his body that we should know and we need to accept and learn to call it a day it is time, to pass the mantle,

Conor McGregor saying yesterday that he will get the all time UFC knockouts record seems a little ambitious for a guy coming off an injury who hasn’t knocked anybody out in a while… Not to mention he isn’t getting any younger so he must be planning a massive comeback with a lot of fights if he thinks this is possible for him to obtain.
I think he is not gonna get into a fight again versus a champion because clearly, he cannot handle it anymore because of his injury. he cannot be the same guy again after that. now all he I doing is keeping his mouth open because if he is not active on social media, people will forget him, and a new champion will emerge and take his place. He just missed getting in the cage again and competing with the champions because this guy gets his popularity in UFC and to get back there again is to refresh his fame and merits.

Seems like an easy win for Mackenzie Dern, she has a good wrestling skill while Angela Hill is matured enough and just an average fighter. I think Mackenzie Dern will beat Angela Hill via submission.

Yes, this fight will be the main card for the featherweight title.
If you look at how to fight, the history of the fight and other statistics, the two of them almost have the same abilities with their respective advantages.
But if you have a prediction for Volkanovski it might be good.
I still can't have any predictions on which one to choose but I will be quick to find out who is worth betting on in this featherweight fight.

Indeed a risky move for PFL, but imagine how much recognition, popularity and fans PFL are getting now. Ngannou itself is a walking advertising campaign. If there will be to two event on the same day running, just by saying "we have Ngannou" PFL would lure money from fan wallets Cheesy This is not the best topic for Ngannou and PFL discussion, but I have checked their heavyweight roster, and Ngannou would not face serious troubles there imho Cheesy

It is a risk but if PFL and Ngannou done this correctly It could be a big hit actually that big deal with PFL have sparked the internet and made it a flame across different platform because this deal from PFL is really historical the first MMA fighter that has sign a very lucrative contract ever, he is almost the owner of PFL, for making it 8 to 7 figures per fight, imagine his fights with UFC was just nothing while I think Many in the MMA envy this kind of contract becasue it was really a huge deal, but It could surely goes sideways for both Ngannou and the PFL,

It seems like Ngannou's name grow big after what he did to UFC and showing reluctance to sign easily to any of the other rival MMA promotions. The $20 million 2-fight deal from ONE is the biggest per-fight guarantee although PFL's deal allowed Ngannou to become part of the board, allowed him to box, and have a huge PPV share which will be more beneficial only if his PPV numbers grow more than his previous numbers at UFC.

Ngannou is expected to return to MMA action next year so it will be 2 years of inactivity. Although he is expected to have a heavyweight boxing tune-up this year before vying for a shot at either Fury, AJ, or Wilder. Seriously though, he cannot beat any of the top 20 heavyweights except his puncher's chance. A shameful loss to boxing at least won't hurt much if in case his market will diminish since PFL only gave a guarantee of 7 digits in each of his next 3 MMA fights.

Actually, I am excited about this after his inactivity with the MMA fight his last fight was back on January 22, 2022, it is not that far, but from this on the PFL heavyweight fighters have a chance to get by that inactivity of Ngannou but they still got 1 year to prefer for that big fight and to gain a lot of Pay Per View, and how much sales those Francis Ngannou can cater with his fights this will surely be brought ripples in the playing field with UFC and PFL, and I think the UFC will certainly adjust to this and Dana White will surely watching from the sidelines so he can see what may happen if this is really enough to cater those huge sales

Has anyone already seen UFC 291 announced fight card? This event all chances to beat PPV record end become an event of the year. https://www.ufc.com/event/ufc-291. Almost, simply almost every main card fight is a big fight worth watching. I am amazed to see Tony Ferguson again. I thought he was a free agent right now. He has lost last of his 5 fights. And now he is fighting Bobby Green. a

WHOA! that just, I was speechless when saw those fight cards there are so many well-known fighters in that 1 event, I was really drowning in ecstasy in the excitement that was 1 hell of an event for sure that will cater to a love of sales the following start of the ticket sales I would love PFL to try this next year so the event with Francis Ngannou can cater a massive sales because they will surely need it in just getting Ngannou payment for that event,

Sounds like ONE's offer is a lot preferable. There could be changes to his fighting style by now after some boxing training, I'm sure he has a chance to win against any boxer.

But Ngannou is not just aiming for MMA money. If he remains unbeaten since becoming the UFC champion, his potential of earning big bucks in boxing stays alive. And besides, if Ngannou is really capable of marketing well his next MMA fights, he might earn more than $10 million per fight.

Most of the time, we cannot teach old dogs new tricks. I wonder if Ngannou is an exception. He carries that big punch though so there's always a puncher's chance but this might be the same case for any heavyweights. His stamina will be his main problem, not just in a 36-minute boxing match but also in a full 5-round match in MMA. We'll see what he looks like in his tune-up fight this year.

You know the next event has really nothing to get excited about when the guys itt are talking about other UFC events.  Cheesy  It's true tho, so couldn't really blame anybody.

But yeah, that's a stacked card from top to bottom so far!  We also got Alex Pereira's debut in 205 vs Jan Błachowicz.  Smiley

Stephen Thompson vs Michel Pereira could be good too.  I think not a banger but good.

Edit:  No betting market up for 291 yet.  Curious how the books will line Thompson vs Pereira.  I'm thinking Thompson could open around 2.35 and Pereira around 1.65 or something.

There are so many great fighters especially the top 3 fights, looks crazy the Alex Pereira first fight in light heavyweight is Jan Blachowicz. People also really want to watch Tony Ferguson fight, he's really popular when he fought Anthony Pettis where his body is full of blood and he can still able to beat Pettis. Bobby Green is seems not a big threat for Ferguson, I think this fight Ferguson will win.

For Poirier vs Gaethje, I think Gaethje will win because both of them are quite similar, but Gaethje has better KO rate.

Anderson Silva is the first fighter i saw live getting his leg snapped and he was never the same after that, then Chris Weidman who was the opponent when Anderson Silva snapped his leg went through the same catastrophe and he is yet to recover from the injury from 2021 because he is not completely recovered from the injury and now Conor McGregor thinks that he will be rejuvenated and recover from an injury like that is his confidence but he will never be the same fighter he once was.
Correct, it's a contact sport and it's way different from basketball and other games. This is a sport where usage of the leg is for attack and defense so it's unlikely that he will come back as strong as he was. It's all just mouth for now and he might be doing good at his training but once he sets foot in the octagon it will be an environment that will make him flashback about his injury.
Then there are the mental injuries too. The fear of the injury coming back so using that injured leg might become a liability instead of an advantage.
He might show us a good performance in his comeback but I don't think it will be as massive as other fighters did when they returned to UFC.
Cejudo for example, rested for years and still, he showed Sterling that he is still a fighter that should not be taken lightly.
