Derrick Lewis has apparently lost a lot of weight recently, not sure how true that is since I don't really keep up with everything outside of fight nights. It could have an impact on his power if so.
He is still going to heavier than Serghei Spivak, and maybe he feels better but since he started to lose weight he lost several fights.
Maybe his punches now have less power than before but all fighters he faced recently are top class like Ciryl Gane, Tai Tuivasa and Sergei Pavlovich.
Losing against this guys is no shame and any fight with Black Beast is very interesting to watch.

He’d better have one hell of a fighting comeback in the UFC or I think his days of being a celebrity may be numbered.
Probably, he's been in the decline for a while now. There's been comments about his commitment to the sport, and I think there's some merit to that. I don't like to judge before a verdict has been reached, but ultimately he hasn't painted himself out to be the best of people recently. I'm not saying he definitely did it, but this is obviously going to effect the support of him even if he's deemed innocent, as he was already getting piled on by the fans, this is just more ammunition.

If he's proven guilty though, I don't really want to see him back in the UFC, and I'd like to think he wouldn't be allowed back in despite what might go on legally. Obviously, if he's deemed innocent that's a different matter, and he'd probably need one hell of a introduction back into the UFC to gain some of the fans on his side anyhow.

Conor McGregor facing more bad news as he’s being accused of a pretty nasty assault on a woman. His slow motion downward spiral has been sad to see. Hopefully he gets his attitude together. He’s much more entertaining when he isn’t attacking women and elderly men. He’d better have one hell of a fighting comeback in the UFC or I think his days of being a celebrity may be numbered.

Derrick Lewis has apparently lost a lot of weight recently, not sure how true that is since I don't really keep up with everything outside of fight nights. It could have an impact on his power if so. I mean, he's never been the most technical of fighters, but has always had that power, which basically wins him the fights. So, if he has lost a bit of power, it could be easy money on Spivak. Since it's five rounds, I'm kind of expecting Spivak to win via knockout anyhow as Lewis does get sloppy when he's looking for that knock out.

I'm surprised there's a lot fighters from Southeast Asia will participate in UFC fight night

Yeah, I have also noticed that. Like I am about to watch one of One FC events lol Cheesy 7 fighters are from South Korea, 4 from Japan, and they fight in UFC Apex. This card will be more suitable if whole event would be somewhere in Asia.

Lewis seems to be an underdog only because of number of losses in his last fights. Lewis seems to be facing more experienced fighters than Spivak. Even though 2.80 means he is a huge underdog, Lewis is still dangerous. Remember when he pretended to be tired and dazed, an all of sudden knocked out Blaydes, that was winning the fight and Lewis was an underdog also.

After the fight, he already announce his retirement and because of that there will be no Glover Texeira and Jiri Prochazka rematch, and he already needed that retirement because he can not take another beating anymore, that last fight was really taking a toll on him, surely one of the damage in his face, and even with his old age he still manages to hang on and last to those 5 rounds beating,
Good to see Teixeira is retire because it will not good for his health if he keep fight in professional scene. I believe there's will be a fight between Prochazka vs Ankalaev in near future to get the light heavyweight belt.

UFC Fight Night: Lewis vs. Spivak
I'm surprised there's a lot fighters from Southeast Asia will participate in UFC fight night, although most of them are actually unknown fighters, but I think it's worth to try to bet huge underdog like Jesus Santos Aguilar or Toshiomi Kazama for few dollars.

Lewis seems to be got underestimated too, he's underdog the odds is @2.80 while he's currently at higher position than Spivak.

Congratulations to Jamahal Hill for winning the title, I don't think he will hold it for a long time, but he can be proud for being the one who made Glover Teixeira retire.
I was wrong about many of my predictions for UFC 283 and I think saga between Brandon Moreno and Deiveson Figueiredo will continue.
I want to see someone new in flyweight division who can make it more interesting, but this two guys are very close and small things decide winners.
Moreno looks like a child next to a women from UFC who made interview with him Smiley

With Rodrigues, same here.  He's my pie shtter of the night.  Lol.  I was so confident that he'll win ashe has more experience in the UFC and showed what it looked like he overcame the chin issues...  Just to be reminded that it's still there.  But in his defense it really hit him harrrd.  Lol.
Yeah, and it wasn't even the best technique of a punch. It was kind of sloppy, but it worked. It did land hard, but Robocop should've seen that coming, I mean it wasn't the fastest, and like I said rather sloppy. However, he's getting on himself now, so he's looking very sloppy too. Still, thought he was winning the fight up until then, and landed some pretty nice shots himself. He just doesn't seem to have that chin that he used to have. I'm wondering if he'll be hanging up the gloves soon too.

I don't want to say anything for Teixeira.Despite being 43 years old, he can stand for 25 minutes. Full respectfully.

We can look on that situation from another angle. What kind of champion Jamahal Hill is, if he cant handle a 43 years old fighter that is to retire in any minute. Jamahal Hill barely is able to make more than two title defences. Who will he face next? The real champion Jiri Prochazka? And even if he manages to win Prochazka, what he is going to do against Magomed Ankalaev and Jan Blachowicz? One is an elite wrestler, and any Blachowicz strike is like being hit by a train.
That's what I call looking from the right angle. We saw that Jamahal Hill lost in his first belt protection match. Let me tell you why, some friends said that Jahamal slowed down in the last rounds because Glover was so battered, but they were wrong. After hitting the high kick, he was throwing high kicks again, and when he tied the hits, he was throwing completely finishing hits, although he could not finish. That's why Glover deserved respect. What will happen when Jiri Prochazka returns from injury? Or is there any chance of winning when faces Magomed Ankalaev? Totally the opportunity has come to him now he can sleep with the belt it's ok , they will wake him up in the first fight.

I was the one who said Hill will beat Teixeira because I've look how Teixeira is already old and he mostly lose when he fight with a fast fighter like Hill.

Good job in taking Jamahal Hill's side but surely you can take away what Glover Texeira has been doing in being a champion in this division and giving 1 of a great fight over Jiri Prochazka, you can not take that away from him however his latest movement now I think he surely wants to take the belt badly and bet on defeating Jamahal Hill with his condition and age, and after seeing his latest movement now I really think his age was already getting on to him and taking a toll to his movement pretty much it is a good decision in retiring knowing that he can not take another fight anymore,

It's really amazing how Teixeira can still survive for full 5 rounds fight, but it's still pointless if you can only taking all of the attack and in the end your lose the fight. I think Teixeira need to retire since he doesn't even can compete with the current UFC fighter, it's better if he's become a trainer and guiding his student during the fight begin just like Khabib did.

Pretty good night in terms of fights, and predictions. Unfortunatly, my bet failed. Robocop, and Paul Craig let me down. I bet on Walker to win via decision, and Craig just sort of froze as soon as he got that leg. He's probably one of the most dangerous fighters on the ground, but doesn't have the best techniques of actually getting it on the ground.

Lauren Murphy fight should've probably been stopped by her corner. It wasn't nice to watch that, she took a lot of unnecessary damage, for a very unlikely chance of her knocking out her opponent.

Walker on the other hand has been playing a cerebral game since training at SBF Ireland with John Kavanagh.  So I had him over Paul Craig.  And two of Craig's wins vs Ankalaev and Hill were luck boxes.

Does anybody think Lauren Murphy is on meth?  She looks like really old for her age.

Surprized by Texeira vs Hill performance. I think I have underestimated Hill and overestimated Texeira. And I think a lot of people did the same. At least based on picks here and on sportsbet.io prediction competition.
I was the one who said Hill will beat Teixeira because I've look how Teixeira is already old and he mostly lose when he fight with a fast fighter like Hill.

I have fully watched every round of that fight, I didn't look at the fact that Hill was merciful not finishing the KO fight out of respect, Hill has been throwing heavy punches with hands and feet every round but Glover's stamina can still last until the final round, if Hill fights a fighter another might have knocked him out in the third round, but I was amazed that Glover lasted until the end of the round even though the fight was not optimal, he didn't return many punches and was unable to lock Hill's neck after he knocked him out.

Two fighters have retired after this tournament. Texeira, who I think could have one more fight against Prochazka. And Rua, who should have retired some time ago. Also Aldo now in UFC hall of fame. Congratz to these fighters and much thanks to them. I will always remember Rua for his soccer kicks in Pride, and how Aldo cleaned whole division with his muau thai. Thanks Texeira for performing on a high level despite his age.

Well, I never really expected the result aswell But Jamahal Hill has a huge IQ with his striking and he was really great against Glover Texeira his wrestling was superb in dealing that defensive maneuver against Glover's takedown, and while on the ground Jamahal Hill also is overpowering Glover Texeira, has great scrambling on the ground he is giving it to Texeira and yeah Glover Texeira just wants to be champion again then maybe he will retire being a champion but sadly Jamahal Hill have taken that away from him, so it is really time for him to retire from the game, especially his age really caught up to him

Brazil, Rio janeiro UFC 283 finished well. As a matter of fact, the main card of the night started well for the Brazilians and ended badly. Two belts lost.

Johnny Walker continues to rise. He's a really good kicker, he has so many different angles and very hard hands. Paul Craig regretted holding his leg you took the first blow so why don't you let go he stubbornly grabbed that leg and took a bunch of hammerfist on his head.

Belt matches were very competitive.

That left hook thrown by Brandon Monero literally darkened Figuerido's life Cheesy

I really like Johnny Walker and his antics were really great, yeah he has shown his real skill this time while his opponent holding his feet he is giving him strikes and elbows, to KO him Johnny Walker is really athletic and pretty much faster than his opponent Paul Craig and now that Johnny Walker has risen up and he is now top 10 pretty much his fight will surely become much harder now, but I really doubt he keeps on evolving and getting faster even so I can not wait for him to fight at top 10,

Well respect to Glover Texeira I really think he is moving at a slow pace, and pretty much standing up was hard for him now, seeing him fight this way, but surely he really needed money that badly his past life was really hard and migration to the USA will need him to fight in order to get the money that he needs,

^  If Fig vs Moreno had been a close one and have gone either way there would def be a fifth.  But no, it was all Moreno this time around.  Moreno was just faster, better.

And Fig isn't retiring.  He's moving up to 135 as the weight cut has always been a problem for him esp now at 35 year old.  And he's always been too big for 125.

Anyway, that was one of the most exciting main events I've seen lately.  And the new guys to watch in the UFC are the Bonfim brothers.  They are good.

If Figuerido had not announced his retirement, there might be 5th.

Teixeira vs Hill is a bloody fight, it would have been a stoppage also iff the doc just step in. He is a tough fighter no doubt of that but he obviously couldn't see where the fists are coming from due to the blood. Hill is just being merciful that he didn't KO Glover most probably out of respect.
