Donald Cerrone VS Joe Lauzon

Joe Lauzon is just returning to the UFC after 2 years of no fight, I really think that after these fight these 2 needs to retire, Cerrone looks really old, and right now he surely has 5 consecutive lost right now, while his opponent was a returning fighter after his fight from 2019, he hasn't seen inside the octagon again, but Lauzon had a great fight with Jonathan Pearce with a TKO that was his last fight on the UFC, and I think he can probably do that again, so I will be going with Joe Lauzon,
A really difficult fight, Cerrone has a series of losses and he is old, but he has practice in the ring, and Lauzon wants to return to the ring after such a long break, which is also very difficult. I can’t give a significant advantage to any fighter, but I think that two years without fights is a very big minus for a fighter, and that’s the only reason I will give preference to Cerrone, who should finally win.

Hey, don't tell that to Dom Cruz, he dosen't belive in ring rust. I would agree for the most oart that satying active would be a better option, but Cerrone's body has taken it's fair share of torture and ad this point I eould go with the fresher fighter Lauzon.

HOWEVER, the fight has been cancled. Here's a wild idea. Maybe, just maybe this two retire and we don't play this game anymore. First Cerrone got sick and now Lauzons knee got locked up. Ya know, this just might be a sign of, I don't know, your god damn bodeis falling apart?

Just let it go you two please.

Here is my pick for the UFC Fight Night Kattar VS Emmett highlight in green are my picks

Calvin Kattar VS Josh Emmett

Josh Emmett has the strength in his wrestling he could surely carry his opponent like a rug doll or simply he can surely finish the fight with a ground and pound, while Calvin Kattar can have the fight standing and technically fight you with striking, this is an interesting fight actually because this is going to be between a wrestler and a striker fighting, but I really like the style of Calvin Kattar, and he could surely technically crawl this fight until the 4th round because I think that will be the time that Josh Emmett will be gas out I don't really know if Emmett can last until the last round but surely Kattar can do that can end the fight in a different passion,

Maria Oliveira VS Gloria de Paula

I really think that this is an interesting fight, I think that Maria Oliveira has the strength but I don't see any technicality, and I guess it is really unpredictable in the woman's division, but I guess Gloria de Paula can go on a clinch and can also finish the fight with a submission, while Oliveira can sure fight but I think our fighting kitty is more well rounded than Maria Oliveira, so I will go with Gloria de Paula,

^ Easy to be inspired when you want to be healthy and fit and then learning BJJ after watching UFC sports. If there is just time for me to drive 15 miles to a facility and trainors, I would probably be training as well. Wanna get used to sparring so I wont panic whenever someone is hostile right infront of me. I learned I do panic when it did happen around 3 years ago.

Katter seem confident but I'm sketical to bet for Cerrone. The one that I may expect to win is Holland, I think he had learned alot and is up for another wining streak.

Kattar is durable enough...  I think, eerrr I hope so.  I got him at top ticket for my lottery.  And I have to say, I'm glad that a lot of you guys are coming up to speed and having a feel for what's going on in the UFC.  I could tell just from reading all your replies.  It was a lot different a couple of years ago.

Here's what my lottery ticket would look like...  I haven't made the bet yet as I want to see these guys on the scale.  There might be changes.  And the lines are from Rollbit.  I started going there instead of my Stake account.  That account could be bad luck.  Lololol.  Cheesy
Taken a lot of damage over the years definitely. I've seen it before though, that a fighter who once had a chin, suddenly loses it, and even a strong wind would knock them over. However, Yeah Kattar is a determined fighter, and has the chin to back it up too.

I'm relatively new to the UFC to be fair. I've always stayed away with it as I rather ignorantly thought it was a brutal sport, and didn't like the idea of seeing someone get beat down in a cage. Although, the way boxing went, and then following some podcasts which ultimately led me to watching a bit of UFC, has me hooked. Must be two years now I've been watching? Don't know exactly. I even do BBJ now. Started with the Gracies school thing, that they offer online. Their self defense course.

Here's the thing about what we've seen in the UFC with Kattar so far...  Against higher ranked opponents, he tends to lose but against guys ranked lower than him, he tends to look really good.  We've seen the contrast against Zabit then against Jeremy Stephens.  There was also the loss against Holloway then we saw how Kattar came back owned Chikadze's soul after  the loss.

Emmet is lower ranked, so Kattar will mostly likely look good in the cage.  But yeah...  We'll see.  We've been surprised a lot of times in this game.

I think the fight will boring since both of them rely on their good puncher and it will distance like you said, so we will only wait which one will fell down first. Emmet could get KO'ed since Kattar have a better chin.

I really don't think this fight will become boring from Josh Emmet's explosiveness it will be one rough fight for Calvin Kattar, but yeah the 1st round will surely set up their momentum and I think that Kattar is the more technical fighter here than Emmet, but Josh Emmet has the explosiveness to change the fight momentum and can pressure Kattar on the ground, and I really think this is not going the distance, in my opinion, it may just go 3 to 4 rounds, depending on who's aggressive and have the more advantage on the fight,

I wouldn't bet on this fight since it's very gambling to bet an inactive fighters moreover they don't have a good record. Both of them have a good power on ground, this will be close fight and probably the fight wouldn't longer than 3 rounds.

I really think this is a chance to win for Donald Cerrone, his opponent isn't active for 2 years, but yes we can not always rely on that both fighters are in their mid 30's so I really think this will be an interesting fight and a chance for Cerrone get a win and get his fight money,

Yeah she is really beautiful, but I doubt Gloria de Paula can won. Maria Oliveria have a good strength to KO'ed her.

Most woman's fights are very unpredictable, even though maria Oliveira has the most experience, for me Gloria de Paula can put up a good fight, but with Maria Oliveira's Reach and height advantage this fight could have a possible high win rate for Oliveira, but Still de Paul will give her a fight she won't forget,

However, our sexy fighting kitten has very much improved. She was defeated by a good sexy kitty fighter called Cheyanne Vlismas but she has also won her next fight versus Diana Belbita who is another good sexy fighting kitty hehehe. I speculate that uncle Dana will be giving pretty Gloria de Paula these very easy next fights for her to secure a winning streak. They want to help her career because fans like her.

I really think that she is improving from her previous fight that is why I say that she may give Maria Oliveira a hard time with her fight but really Oliveira got some advantages that we can not ignore, from her experience to her Reach and Height advantage it could be a wrap for de Paula, but I just believe in the strength of our fighting kittens to surely give their best so I am supporting Gloria de Paula on this one,

Emmet is the popular badass and has been cheered by the crowd and that one jab from Josh Emmet has put down Mirsad Bektic on the ground that was 1 huge jab that stun Mirsad Bektic, that was one absolute win from Josh Emmet, and I really feel that Calvin Kattar will surely have a hard time and he surely admits it aswell that Josh Emmet is one tough opponent to crack, and he was right, Mirsad Bektic was knocked out on the 1st round, Sheesh! thanks for sharing this I am now seeing the big picture on how powerful Josh Emmet is,

Yup for his size he def hits hard.  And look at the way he's built.  Lol.  But I still have Kattar and he's still at my top ticket even after weigh ins.  So yeah, nothing has changed except Yanez go up one notch and Ramos goes down one notch aa Kelley missed weight..  I'm a tad more confident in Yanez now.

Yup, even though Josh Emmet has the power and Strength feat I think Calvin Kattar can manage that, I think Kattar has the advantage when it comes to striking, but Emmet has the strength in Wrestling so Kattar needs to watch out for those takedowns, pretty much I am very curious in what may happen for this fight, and because of that I am so much excited which might prevail Josh Emmet Strength on wrestling or Calvin Kattar's precise striking and technical distance,

Another fight that I am anticipating watching was Donald "Cowboy" Cerrone if he's able to win after his losses in his recent fights, or if Joe Lauzon can still make a worth from his 2 years not stepping inside the octagon, this is really interesting I think that with that experience and still active inside the ring can make an advantage against Lauzon,

Another thing is the fighting Kitty Gloria de Paula is worth mentioning and if that beauty can take on Maria Oliveira who now has 12 wins that are out of her 17 fights while de Paula only got 10 fights with 6 wins on it,

I'm still undecided if I'll be betting on this weekend event. I'm just not feeling the match ups, think there will be a lot of close fights that could go either way. Anyway, predictions:

Josh Emmett
Donald Cerrone
Kevin Holland
Albert Duraev
Damir Ismagulov
Julian Marquez
Adrian Yanez
Jeremiah Wells
Ricardo Ramos
Maria Oliveira
Cody Stamann
Phil Hawes
Kyle Daukaus

Really underrated card in my opinion. There's some absolute wars in those match ups, could we get some absolutely memorable, from top to bottom event back to back? Because last weeks was brilliant from a entertainment perspective.

I'll probably be going with Cannonier, at least betting wise. Prediction will be Izzy. I haven't checked if the odds are up yet, but I imagine it'll be heavily in favour of Izzy. I like Izzy, and I'll be wanting him to win. However, if I do lose...I win, right? That's my line of thinking, plus the odds on Izzy are usually extremely low. Like 1.20-1.40, probably be around there again. Alternatively, I might just give the fight a miss.
Early odds on Adesanya is around 1.27-1.30 and I wouldn't bet on this low odds, but I would bet on him winning by decision that would pay much better.
Odds on Cannonier are from 3.70 to 3.95, and I usually like betting on underdogs with this odds but not this time.
Izzy is one level above Cannonier and he can beat him even on his bad day, so I am looking for some special bets on this fight.

My contenders for fight of the night are Adrian Yanez vs Tony Kelley, Kevin Holland vs Tim Means and the main event Kattar vs Emmett.

Here's a free fight vid for Emmett just in case you guys don't know what kind of a fighter he is.  The guy has power and starches people.  It was surprising that Ige survived during their match.  But then again Kattar looks to me like he has an iron cast chin, so it'll be interesting to see how these guys match up.

Big news from UFC, Zabit Magomedsharipov announced he is officially retired now with great 18-1 record in MMA!
He is 31 years old now, an reason for this was many canceled fights and bigger health problems, he is now recovered but not feeling so good for competing like before.
He is not athlete anymore but he is going to stay in MMA, maybe as a coach or helping Khabib in Eagle FC, who knows.

I've heard that Magomedsharipov has a business, a cafe or restaurant, perhaps in his hometown or in a big city in Russia like Moscow or St. Petersburg. Imho, if he likes doing business, let him focus on it. A person should not be training professionally and fight whole life, let him rest and do what he wish to do. It is sad that I wont see him in octagon anymore, because I really liked his John Rambo hairstyle.

So he is finally retiring? I read it somewhere, weeks ago that he wants to pursue a career in medicine. Maybe it was only a rumor then since he mentioned that he will stay in MMA. He could've been one to three fights away from a title shot. Now, people will wonder what would've happened if he was given a title fight. I think he will beat the likes of Brian Ortega but he will be an underdog against Volkanovski and a slight underdog against Max Holloway.

Of course, Emmet is a strong opponent and very dangerous, but Kattar is a fairly accurate fighter and knows how to keep his distance well.

Yup! I think Calvin Kattar will think of something to counter Josh Emmet like he always does, but surely Josh Emmet is one tough bastard to crack and the strength is surely the one that Kattar needs to look for and surely he has just thrown Scott Holtzman around the ring and controlling him with wrestling but I think Calvin Kattar is more technical but he will surely think of something, and men this is one great fight and I am surely curious on what can happen,

Yeah, Jan takes it for me. Jiri probably doesn't hold onto it more than one title defense, and even them I'm not sure he'll be able to defend it once. At least the division is interesting, rather than just one guy holding onto it for a long time. I say the same about Izzy, which I'm a fan of.

It'll be a interesting match up in my opinion. I see it either going the distance with Kattar managing to stay safe enough or Emmet absolutely smashes him, and wins via KO. I'm probably not going to bet on that fight, too tough to call. If Kattar can keep the distance, and stay relatively safe I can see him winning comfortably on points, probably has the technical advantage.

Kattar - Daukas at 1.97
Rodrigues - De Paula - Hawes at 5.54
Holland - Staman - Ramos at 11.38
Yanez - McGee - Buckley at 77.12
Jasudavicius - Lauzon - Ismagulov at 396.65

Same format with the betting.  10, 5, 2, 2 and 1 for 20 bucks total.

I am betting on Israel to win against Cannonier, he is younger, faster, has reach advantage, and I think he is more intelligent fighter.
I do expect fight to go all five rounds and Cannonier could win one or two rounds, but that whole fight card is sick and I can't wait to see some action.

I am fan of Izzy but weight difference is just to big for him, so I don't see him in light-heavyweight division, unless he puts a lot of muscles quickly.

Yeah, it was more of a comment on his dominance in his oroper weight class. I thought the step up was a little ambitious, and while it did take that zero off his record, I must say I do like to see fighters challenge themselves, and be prepared to lose. It was the weight though that made the difference.

Btw, we will see Izzy in just two weeks, on July 2 in a fight against Jared Cannonier at UFC 276. Prepare for funny trashtalk from Izzy on media. This is going to be a good fight, as Cannonier used to be in light heavyweight division. Good test for Izzy, as on the fight day, Cannonier will be much heavier that on weigh-in day Smiley

Bobby nearly had it this time.
