^ ^  Makhachev all day.  That guy is just on another level and will dominate 155 just like Khabib did.

Finally Makhachev has an opponent. But if Makhachev wins, he wont get a higher place in top or wont be mandatory challenger for a title fight.

I'd go with a decision win for Machachev, I just don't see Hooker dealing with the grappling, and isn't likely to get the knockout which I think his is only chance of winning that fight.

Yup, this seems like one Makachev will win, but I'm thinking Hooker will drain him out. It's good to test Makhachev with some tougher opone4nts, and even if this does not bring him closer to a title fight, it will boost up his stock, and at this point of his career, that might be more important than a title shot.

Thiago Santos vs. Johnny Walker

I guess Johnny Walker has a stylistic style that can surely pressure Thiago Santos, but I think that Thiago Santos has durability with his chin to withstand strikes from Walker and I can not say the same with Johnny Walker if Santos could catch him and land a strike on him this could end Walker, I really think that this is not going for the distance and a lot of fans are betting that it could be a TKO and I think I agree, odds for this fight is 1.65 for Thiago Santos and 2.30 for Johnny Walker that is why I will go with the hype and I really like Thiago Santos personality that why my pick is Thiago Santos.

Antonina Shevchenko vs. Casey O'Neill

For this, I surely don't have any clue about Shevchenko and I am pretty skeptical if she is a pure striker or turning to be grappler because there are fights that but Shevchenko is good at striking, and for Casey O'neil she is a better grappler but not that good with striking but I may be wrong because she might improve that with her training and could get on par with Antonina Shevchenko, and if she does then she is an all-rounder for this event, but she is a good Grappler in this division, and so the odds are, 2.85 for Antonina Shevchenko and 1.45 for Casey O'Neill, I really like the fight on the ground for O'Neill and I think this is what will pressure Shevchenko that is why I will go with Casey O'Neil with this pick.

We might wait for a long time before we would see Adesanya again. The reason is simple - virus. You know its name, the one all sport is in deep ass right now - covid-19. With all these restrictions, it is hard for him to get to the US. So far it is majority of the UFC events are on he US territory and fighters from New Zealand need a visa to get there. Not mentioning all these 10-14 days lockdown periods. His teammate, Dan Hooker, who has fought last weekend, had a lot of troubles getting a visa.

As the Pandemic and all the restriction gets worst many fights that will be held in places that are high in traveling restriction may surely postpone some fights or they can even hold it in a different place like the fight island in  United Arab Emirates but certainly Dana White would not really want to just move certain people for one fight only that will surely eat up rerouces, but certainly I think this is the best option for an event to just continue.

It’s also in the op for like over a couple of months now.  I’ve been adding sites as soon as I see if they’re good.  Anyway, I encourage every reg in the thread to keep looking at stats, the betting market and watch the events.  That way we could basically work together and find which spots are good.

Betting market site:  https://www.bestfightodds.com/

^  That’s useful for optics and the lines are well organized and easy to find.

Oh! Sorry not looking back on the OP nowadays but as you have said I will likely find myself always looking for your update, and that this UFC prediction thread is not just a thread for me but a daily dose of entertainment aswell and especially with great guys giving their different discussions and suggestion about what is new and what may have happened in one event, so thank you.

^  You’re right!  Daukas could potentially be a good spot.  Depending on if Holland has already worked on his TD defense.  If not, Daukas will have a field day on top of Holland looking for subs.  But it could be competitive.  Holland is a black bet in BJJ too.

Who do you guys got for this weekend’s event?  I got just a couple of bets.  Johnny Walker at 2.40, follow at your own risk.  Lol.  And a safe two leg parlay with Niko Price to win coupled with fight doesn’t go the distance for the main event at 1.92.
Not easy fights to predict but I am going for Thiago Santos in main event, but Walker have big reach advantage and he is younger so it won't be big surprise if he wins.
Surprise win is possible in co-main event, Kyle Daukaus is underdog but I am not confident in Kevin Holland.

Listen to Jon Jones 911 Police Audio Before Domestic Battery Arrest, confirming his fiancee was bloody but she refused to confirm it was domestic assault, that looks like she was afraid of Jones:

Personally, if I was Adesanya, and I did have to fight him. I wouldn't be kickboxing him, I'd be taking him down, and trying to get some GnP. There's just too much risk, and with him getting knocked out by him before, and the only one there might be some self doubt in there. So, I would absolutely concentrate on welcoming him to the MMA world by mixing it up a little.

Alex Pereira is familiar with MMA, but his record and experience are not as huge as Adesanyas. Press mention that Pereira is signed to UFC, but he continues to perform in kickboxing. Even if he will start to fight in UFC, years will pass till he will have a fight against Adesanya. Pereira mush have a series of victories and Adesanya must lose several times - this is the only scenario when they can meet in the octagon.

I am interested, but sportsbet.io is banned in my country. I can use VPN just to make a registration, but doubt that it is allowed and registration form asked be for a UK mobile number.

I'd go with a decision win for Machachev, I just don't see Hooker dealing with the grappling, and isn't likely to get the knockout which I think his is only chance of winning that fight. As for the Thiago Santos vs Johnny Walker fight, I'll always put a cheeky bet on Thiago knockout out his opponent. Especially, when he has more rounds to do it. I think the Kevin Holland vs Kyle Daukaus fight is an interesting one, it'll be interesting to see how Kevin performs against a big puncher, but it'll also be interesting to see if Kyle Daukaus tries to take it to the mat considering Holland's weakness down there.

On paper this weekend's event is one of the better one's though I always find the relatively unknown fighters on cards are always the most exciting, and the most anticipated ones are somewhat uneventful in comparison.

This is spot on imho. Bobby Knuckles just needs baggier pants.

In other news. This is really interesting, one of the best matchups I have seen in a while. Might as well be the main event. Even though I give Makachev the advantage, I think Hooker will give him a run for his money.

What about this guy? He is the only one who KO'ed stylebender. Now he is in UFC. He wont get a title fight immediately, but there are high chances that these two will meet.
I did post something about this when the news broke I believe. I think in a flat out kickboxing match up, then he probably does have a decent chance. Although, he's entering the MMA world, and I feel like he's just going to get bullied in the grappling, and wrestling department. I doubt he will ever reach the position that he could face off against Adesanya. Though, who really knows I haven't seen his skills past the kickboxing, he might be like Adesanya where his take down defense is good. IF that's the case then we could have a potential grudge fight on our hands, which I'm all for. I'd love some competition in the division for Adesanya, things are very close to becoming stale.

One of this fighters will have a chance to go back on top and Johnny Walker is not impressed with UFC champ Jan Blachowicz, but I don't think he will pass by Thiago Santos.
This is going to be All-Brazilian fight and Johnny Walker is promising people will see something new from him, and he improved English language skills:

Anyone still interested in story of that scumbag Jon Jones?
Police released a report about Jon Jones returning drunk in his hotel room, beating his fiancee in front of her kids, and she was later found by police, afraid with blood on her face and clothes.
Problem started when he wanted to take $10,000 from hotel room and then go to strip club.
Full report: https://mmajunkie.usatoday.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/91/2021/09/jon-jones-las-vegas-police-arrest-report.pdf

Without official information, I thought that maybe it was just theater to make more hype around him and make more money from advertising. This report completely changes the picture of the situation.
Dana White should throw him out immediately to show that UFC is a place for real fighters, not criminals.
Well, it looks like anyway we won't see him for a long time .. And I hope not only in the UFC arena, but on the street in general.

Isnt Whittaker from Australia which does have a strict lockdown?  Some say there is a martial law there actually.

The first fight was close to defeating Adesanya, its not very surprising that Whittaker has given another chance. Ifnhe had learned from their first encounter, there will be a high chance for him to win.

Robert Whittaker is from Australia, but Israel Adesanya once said that he will never fight in that country or on that continent. With all that restrictions, it will be hard to create a good card there. Everyone needs visas. It will also be hard and unprofitable probably. Most of the fighters are from US - why then fly half of the world to have a fight? But who knows, who knows how things are going to be.

I think Whittaker is the only one capable of beating him. Though, I'm a fan of Adesanya so I'll be routing for him.

Kickboxing standout Alex Pereira has penned a contract with the UFC and will make his debut at UFC 268 on Nov. 6.

What about this guy? He is the only one who KO'ed stylebender. Now he is in UFC. He wont get a title fight immediately, but there are high chances that these two will meet.

Hey guys, instead of talking of Jones and all the bs about what’s going on with him outside the UFC let’s help each other fimd some nice spots for the next event.  Here are some of the sites I use for stats and fighter pro records.

https://www.tapology.com/

https://fightmetric.rds.ca/events/upcoming

http://ufcstats.com/

This is what I use for watching past matches.

https://mmacore.tv/

Whoa! thanks for all of this link, that could be really helpful with the research and for taking a clear decision in betting, I really like to watch full non-cut recent fights for fighters that I am looking up, so thanks for these helpful links.

As far as I know, it's generally easier for top level athletes to get a visa. He has all the support behind him if it's for a fight, and can afford to off load the legal process to his team, and concentrate on training. I expect Adesanya to be fighting early 2022. Hopefully, that'll be against Whittaker, as I think at the moment that's the only fight which makes sense, and personally within that division I think Whittaker is the only one capable of beating him. Though, I'm a fan of Adesanya so I'll be routing for him.

It's obvious why the UFC are still interested in him, he's one of the best combat sports athletes in it's history, and while he does have controversies they actually somewhat benefit the UFC. I know it's a terrible thing to talk about, and I'm absolutely not condoning anything he has or will do, but from a UFC perspective they just see the money, more people will tune in because of the idea of watching him get knocked out. Think about boxing, and how Mayweather is perceived by fans, you've probably got the minority actually liking him as a person, and boxer, but really the reason he brings in such a crowd is because people want to see him get knocked out or lose a fight.

It's sickening that the richer, and more famous you are generally the more that you can get away with. I haven't verified the above claims, but if it's true that his partner made the statement that the blood was from dry lips (or whatever reason was given), then there should be some sort of duty of care to actually validate that as truth, rather than just believing it.

For me the hardest thing to understand why he is not fired from UFC.

In wikipedia, his Controversies part is same size as his Mixed martial arts career. No doubt, that as a fighter he is good, but I dont like him as a person. Now he is in UFC hall of fame.

He has helped UFC to make a lot of money, but now he refuses to fight because he wants a bigger cheque. UFC dont want to pay him, but keep him in organization. What for?

Came across funny picture today. Cant resist not to share Cheesy

Maybe there is something deeper explanation here but we can not really understand UFC real intention in keeping Jon Jones, I really think they can definitely take Jones down, and in this new thing that he did, this is really the peak in what the worst things he can surely do, but let's just say there might be a thing that they can not let go of Jon Jone's and they are the ones that really know that, and I am moving on to this issue because there is no good thing talking about it anymore.

And with that picture, whoa! great stuff but I am really excited in seeing Israel Adesanya will fight again.
