UFC 266
wait is this ufc 266 or fight night ?
Fixed, thanks.

What's going on with the poster design. Santos's eye looks terrible XD Anyway

Walker reminds me villain from Far Cry 3 video game. Same mohawk, beard, designed haircut

Also, Champ Aljamain Sterling out of UFC 267 vs. Petr Yan; interim title fight considered. I knew that would happened. First he cowardly got title, now he is afraid to defend it. Sterling has told that he hasn't recovered fully from leg injury and can barely train, but he looked very happy in Merab Dvalishvili corner on UFC266.

What's going on with the poster design. Santos's eye looks terrible XD Anyway, I am not sold on Walker honestly, this seems like Santos should take it fairly easily. Let's also see if Circunov will get his shit together. I always thought he had potential in that division and every time he fell short. It's not the best card, but could tourn out to, at least, not be boring.

Actually, I am OK with the poster and the design is very brilliant with the eyes, face, and names and I don't have any issue about it, but this is just my opinion and we have different tastes when it comes to designs,

Actually, I like Thiago Santos down to earth persona, and Jhonny Walker seems like the opposite of him but with these two I guess there are a lot of stylistic strikes for Walker, and that soccer kick when his opponent was on the ground was not what I like about him, for me I want to support Thiago Santos, but it seems like there is something about Santos that is of, I will check this even further and come back with my decision but I really like Thiago Santos to win this.

Unfortunately, I completely agree with you. Diaz was incredible slow. I think everyone can seen that he was not prepared with condition at all. I don't know what happened to him, but he looked like drunk sometimes. I don't think we'll see any good his fight anytime. I think he should seriously think about ending his career.
Yeah, and just like I predicted it will be a brawl fight of endurance.
Nick got slow, fat, and his punches ain't that hard anymore that Robbie could take all the beating. While Lawler on the other hand seems to not change his style.
Low amount of thrown punches and just trying to be accurate until he gets that lucky punch that will end the game and it did happen.
Could've won the bet for Diaz if he could end the game thru decision.

It wasn’t just ring rust.  He looked like he didn’t want to be in there.  And he didn’t look like he trained much for the event.  Lolol.  He was sloooow.  The Diaz of old is gone.  And how was that match supposed to be for 5 rounds?  Cheesy  He should retire.

Alexander Volkanovski vs Brian Ortega

Respect! for Alexander Volkanovski, I should say he is the better fighter over Brian Ortega he has a lot of faints, and from my perspective, I think that he is controlling the fight from the striking, even though he was caught by that fast guillotine choke and a triangle by Brian Ortega he has survived that and win by giving Ortega punches that surely a great win for Volkanovski.

Curtis Blaydes vs Jairzinho Rozenstruik

Curtis Blaydes was really careful with their fight, but we can really see who's dominating the fight, Curtis Blaydes giving takedowns to Jairzinho Rozenstruik gives him the advantage even though he acquired damage in his eye, he just did what he could, from giving Rozenstruik a hard time on the octagon and I think the judge may have seen that.

Three fights in the last ten years and his last win was in 2011 against B.J Penn who was wearing down and was coming up in weight. It is not easy to take a long break like this and return to the top of the division against elite fighters, he should have taken some warm up fights before going against anyone. A few days before the fight Nick Diaz decided that he cannot cut down to 170 pounds and these were signals that he is not in good shape or healthy enough to cut weight.

I expected Brian Ortega to change his fortunes as he went to war in the past and failed to win the title and i thought this is his chance to win the title and yet again failed to win against Alexander Volkanovski.    Valentina Shevchenko win was expected and good to see that the fight went till the 4th round.
Ring rust of Nick Diaz was evident in the first round and Robbie Lawler was too good for him and hopefully we will see Nick Diaz active as this will be the last phase of his career.

Here are the results

I’m break even for the event.  Lost the Pearce vs Morales bet.  Pearce improved a lot since switching to another gym.

is it me or nate and robbie match is boring ? their pace are so slow compares to others.

While Nick is dealing with Lawler, Jones is dealing with a lawyer. (just kidding)

For me, the fight seems OK, yes not that explosive but the thing is Nick Diaz is still coping up from the years he is vacant, from what I see Robbie has more arsenal than Diaz, this is Robbie Lawler evolves from their first fight from that first fight Nick Diaz has knockout Robbie from a punch and from this fight Robbie Lawler did the same exact punch that Nick Diaz did to him to knock him out, from when Nick came down Lawler didn't chase a TKO win if this is the old Robbie Lawler he might do the same, but I have seen a mature Lawler, but from that Nick Diaz has been hurt so much that he wants to quit on the fight, it seems that he wants to quit but he is still lingering inside the Octagon, like his finding himself, but from that fight, I really think Robbie Lawler doesn't have to prove anything and this is good timing to retire.

The bottom line is that Ortega more or less had his toughness going for him, and that's about it. He always had that, but the question is how far that could take him. 9 out of 10 he loses both to Holloway and Volk. Still top tier, but if things don't shift drastically in that division, I doubt he can get past those two. And I even think he would have a tough time with Kattar, and that could be his next matchup as both have losses.

My picks for the event are Morales at 1.69 and Daukas, Andrade parlay at 2.17.  Just small bets for fun but trying to be safe and not to lose money too.  Lol.  The rest are just pop and popcorn.

Anyway Stake has their own thing going for the event:  https://promotions.stake.com/ufc-266-triple-winnings/

Triple your winnings in selected matches if your pick finishes the fight.

Oh yes, Stake.com is having its triple winnings on selected fights, mainly the main 3 fights so the qualifying fights would be

Alexander Volkanovski vs Brian Ortega
Valentina Shevchenko vs Lauren Murphy
Nick Diaz vs Robbie Lawler

sad to say the Curtis Blaydes VS Jairzinho Rozenstruik didn't make it into the triple winnings but it is still ok because I am still going with the Main Event one.

he does look fit in this interview, he gained weight and seems decent except for that uni mustache. it would really be upsetting not to see him again fight in the cage because of this behavior. UFC is very protective of their image so they might do something about it.

nick Diaz's look is almost unrecognizable. he had grown old, if he can't keep his hands up in this fight lawler will throw all the strikes nick didn't get being MIA for years.

Very protective indeed and will not tolerate something this big, so it is really a sad ending for Jon's and I think a lot of fans is disappointed with this kind of behavior, and right now there are no further on what may really happen to Jon Jones after this news spreads like wildfire,

Diaz may look old but I can feel the passion within him that he wants to return but apparently if he can sure withstand Lawler's punches then I think I am still going with the returning Nick Diaz.

I am getting ready to watch UFC266 in few hours and I placed some bets on Volkanovski to win in main event, but I had to share one huge photo transformation for Paddy Pimblett who won his UFC fight just two weeks ago on September 4.
I said it before, this weight cuts are sick not normal and they are going to kill someone in future.

Diaz vs Lawler fight will show not who is the best striker, wrestler, well prepared, but who is just in a better shape.

Nick Diaz record shows that it is hard to knock him out; Lawler is a perfect striker. This weekend will see how one veteran beats crap out of another. It will be hard to watch, as I predict that Nick will eat all punches Lawler throw.

Well, you might be right the one that will win this, will be the one that is prepared, and if Nick Diaz would surely sniff a little boost from cocaine maybe he might just not hurt with all of Lawler's punches, well, just kidding Nick Diaz might get what he wants if he is not prepared to face Lawler but I will be going with Nick Diaz, I think he returns to prove something.

Jon Jones arrested again, and this time for domestic violence with multiple charges by Las Vegas Metro Police!
He became hall of famer but this guy is never going back in octagon with that behavior and Colby Covington called him a scumbag after this.
Hall of shamer last interview before his arrest:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FcwzPaVbx8k

That is a shame and with this pandemic, he is doing something like this, talks about indecency, and with that multiple charges against him it will be hard for him to return to the Octagon now, and I think UFC will surely do something about it.
