I was following Dana White Contender Series and just like I expected we have a new Russian fighter signing for UFC Azamat Murzakanov with perfect 10-0 record.
Few days ago he won by KO against Matheus Scheffel, but sweet problem is that he is probably coming in Light-Heavyweight category that is already very interesting with Prochazka, Rakic, Teixeira and champ Blachowicz.
Check out that KO in first round  Shocked

Back to next UFC event, Derek Brunson is aiming title shot fight if he wins against Darren Till, and I think that is possible, he looked very good in media day interview.
I think that odds in Brunson are great and I am taking them early, sounds even better on Stake with Double Winnings promotion, with split decision money back:

I think that match with Jack Shore could go the distance with his opponent being having a more wrestling heavy style just like Shore.  Could be a good bet at plus money.  Smiley
Yeah, I couldn't bet against him. Though, it'll likely be a tough match up for him. I'm currently thinking a Tom Aspinall, and Jack Shore accumulator with a few not to go distance bets. I'm not particularly hyped for this weekend's fights, although they are usually the ones which prove to worth watching the most. I'm expecting Aspinall to win his fight, however I think Spivak will prove a decent match up, and I'm not expecting Aspinall to just walk through this opponent compared to his last few fights.

^  The main event was really good.  Giga Chikadze looks like the next big prospect at 145.  He could fight Max Holloway next who I think he could beat or at least be really competitive against...  And your boy is fighting this weekend:  Jack Shore.  Smiley
Yeah, I'll definitely be putting a bet on Jack Shore. Yeah, Giga Chikadze has been hyped up for a while. I did manage to watch the fight after the event, and he did decently well. Actually, probably better than I expected against a good opponent. Max Holloway last fight he absolutely dominated, didn't he set a record for number of punches in a UFC fight? Could be an interesting one, I think I would prefer Max over Giga though.

Some English accents particualrly the north can be a little hard to understand. However, so can Scottish, Irish, and Welsh if you aren't used to hearing them, as we've invented our own sayings that mean nothing in English or contradict themselves in English.

I always find it funny to watch Darren Tills interviews because I barelly can understand what he talks  Grin He is from England, but I find it easier to understand Irish or Scottish people talking then Till.

What I also find interesting, that I know this fighter, despite him having big fights. Till fights rarely, but he is always on my radar. Dont know what is so special about him, but I keep on tracking his career.

Your thoughts guys.

Really? I mean you are correct on being hard to understand him, but I have a harder time understanding the Scots than him Smiley I don't know what exactly it is about him, he seems to have found a niche with social media and has some humor and wit to him so that kinda separates him from a bunch of coffee mug personality fighters.

I missed this weekends event, the first time in a long time. What's the verdict from the main event? I haven't actually had time to watch any of the highlights yet. How did Daniel Rodriguez perform? I was expecting a knock out from him, but I see that Kevin Lee managed to take it to the distance, which is an achievement in its own right against someone like D Rod.

Next UFC event this weekend Brunson vs Till.
Bookmakers gave huge advantage and made Darren Till a favorite against Derek Brunson, but sometimes I like that and betting on underdogs.
Brunson have 3 inch reach advantage that is always important in MMA, they have similar striking stats but Brunson is nine years older than Till.
Interesting thing I noticed, Till had many canceled fights recently and only one fight won from last four, and Brunson won last four fights.
Looking at this I don't understand this odds so I am happy to make one more bet on underdog once again, but both of them are top fighters and anything can happen.
I am probably going to miss watching rest of the fights on this card.

Good find there. The website is pretty neat and I hope it stays that way (no annoying ad banners). Bookmarked.

I’ve been sharing that for quite a while now.  And there are other sites in the op that could help you make your picks.  I’ve been sharing some of those sites too in the past events’ threads if you guys remember.  Smiley

Anyway next event will be a good one.  Till v vs Brunson.  First impression I kinda like Brunson, haven’t checked the lines yet.

Edit:  *Checks market*  Brunson is at 2.6 to win.  That’s worth a look.

I think that nobody is doubting Chikadze after this win and he is now asking to be back up fight for title fight Volkanovski vs Ortega or fight against Max Holloway.
Anyone who placed a bet on Chikadze doubled his money and this was one of the best bets this weekend, and I was impressed with win for Daniel Rodriguez against Kevin Lee.
There is still no change in UFC rankings but I expect to see Chikadze going up 4 or 5 places.

I am not doubting Giga Chikadze after his win over Barboza, and I would like for him to take a shot for Max Holloway, so we could know who really is the best striker, after that fight with Barboza, that Giga Kick really intrigues me he Max Holloway can counter or have an effective defense against it because we all know Max Holloway is another fighter with great striking capabilities,

I surely just bet for Edson Barboza, because of the mix of grappling and striking aspects, and I saw Chikadze as a better striker than him, and he has a lot of experience than Chikadze, But Giga Chikadze has proven that he is a smart fighter.

What differentiates the fighters that lost to Barboza from those that won is solely the range and distance they had when fighting him. If you want to stand on the outside, move backwards and trade with Barboza, then he becomes one of the best in the world and you will feel a whole new spectrum of pain, but if you pressure him and get in his face, then Barboza crumbles, at least that's what has been shown throughout the last 10 or 12 fights.

Yup! you are right, Giga Chikadze was always at Barboza's face and as I have said I just realize that Giga Chikadze is a smart fighter, he surely fights smartly against Barboza, and even though on the first round Barboza seems like pressuring Chikadze Giga Chikadze is still winning the exchange, and that is a lot of focus there because Chikadze is on Barboza intellectually and conditioning Edson Barboza with his Giga Kick, until Giga Chikadze is now pressuring Edson Barboza, again I am surely impressed with Giga Chikadze now and I can not wait to see another fight of Giga Chikadze.

With the way he performed, I guess he totally deserves a fight with either of the two.

Indeed!

Anyone else wondering why the Chikadze heavy slow breathing? I can't remember anyone else doing that while the results are being announced. The time between his KO win up to the announcement should be enough to catch his breath.

That’s my go to site for watching past matches of some guys I like before every event.  The archive over there should give you around a couple years worth of UFC replays.  Smiley

Anyway, Chikadze is legit.  He’s far from the fighter he was vs Emmers just a year ago.  That match ended with a split decision win for Chikadze.  Emmers could have edged it if he didn’t have such low fight IQ.  It showed in this event vs Sabatini.

Wow! I never know about that site, but thanks for sharing tokeweed will surely use that site more often for reviews and to watch certain replays that I like,

Anyway, Giga Chikadze is a real legit striker at first I really thought that they are equal in terms of striking and Barboza has more power with his striking but after watching the replay I was wrong Chikadze was a better kicker, a better puncher, better counter shots, better angles, and IQ when he fights on the ring against Barboza I would say I was wrong with what I was predicting that Barboza has the advantage but when I play the replay in slow motion, that Giga kick is hurting Barboza I notice that every time Chikadze is doing something Barboza is raising his right for the defense and that is how Barboza really worries from that Giga kick, it was a well-played fight for Giga Chikadze.

Edson Barboza VS Giga Chikadze

It was an equal exchange of strikes in the first round and the 2nd round but when round 3 starts, Barboza eventually grabs Chikadze's leg, which causes Chikadze to hit him with a punch that hurt Barboza, my opinion thinking that was a lucky situation, but Giga Chikadze really has a fast striking and accurate for Edson Barboza to be hit by it, I really didn't expect that to happen but it surely did, and it was really an entertaining fight pretty much both fighters are very equal in every aspect, but Chikadze just have the lightning speed strikes that he needed.

Bryan Battle VS Gilbert Urbina

I really thought that Battle might lose to Urbina at first that hit and takedown from Urbina sure looks nasty for Battle, but Bryan Battle pull through and stand back up, the commentator then implies that Bryan Battle battle's back until the 2nd round Urbina is really getting tired then the wrong thing he did here is giving his back to Battle for Battle to Execute a rear-naked choke, that was a great start for Bryan Battle in his debut to UFC.

Fights in this card are turning out pretty good so far with some great finishes too.

Nice comeback by Meerschaert and what a headkick by Abdul Razak Alhassan!

~ i am picking Daniel Rodriguez because Kevin Lee is all talk and he does not have the gas tank
I was close to placing a bet on Kevin but good thing I read @tokeweed's post. He did well in the first round but couldn't impose his game in the next two rounds.

and then in the main event i am going with Giga Chikadze
If you also placed a bet on him, we got ourselves some profit.
