It always takes one punch in the HW so that's one thing you can always count on. One thing you can't really count on is taking that shot and surviving. Sure there have been situations where, for instance, Miočić would take Ngannous shot in the first fight, but that's not something to relly on in that division.

Well, I am expecting Gane could withstand that shot, even though he can not deliver a shot that can surely knock out Lewis, I really think he is durable enough to withstand a blow from him, and even Ngannou, that is how confident I am in saying that Ciryl Gane can withstand a blow from Derrick Lewis,

And apparently, an interview with Ciryl Gane said that he acknowledges how dangerous Derrick Lewis but he will surely put him in deep trouble, I really think that Gane wants the Ngannou fight so badly or a higher ranking fight that bad, I really think just like that Alexander Volkov fight Bon Gamin is thinking out ways to defeat Derrick Lewis.

derrick only need a one shot. Gane has the agility and he can throw all his strenght here but if he isnt going to succeed in bringing derrick down, it could end terribly with just one shot from derrick.

Gane speed up quickly up there accepting any possible opponent. if he has no problem fighting ngannou, he will be next then.

Yup! Derrick will only need one punch to KO Gane, but I believe Gane has upped his defenses and ready to take that shot, and I am sure that Gane will be having a hard time with Derrick Lewis I see Lewis can withstand possible KO shots, and Ciryl Gane has an issue to just win from an opponent with great durability with a decision,

Ryan Hall is probably one of the best on the ground, especially with leg locks, and the 50/50 position. Although, I just feel like he's lacking elsewhere. When he doesn't actually get that leg lock he tends to struggle. I remember watching him in TUF, and he went up against Saul. Clearly Saul was the better striker, and the only chance Ryan had of beating him was on the ground. Although, Ryan didn't even get close to submitting him. Proving that when Ryan can't get that leg lock, he struggles a little bit.

His opponent next is a good fighter, and I think has decent take down defense if my memory serves me correctly. Though, looking at the odds, Ryan Hall by submission is very lucrative. Its 3.00 just for Ryan Hall to win, and my betting site hasn't got the odds up yet for win by submission, however I'm expecting around 4.00.

I really like fighters with unique skill sets and with different techniques, this is why I am a fan of Khabib Nurmagomenodov, But Ryan Hall is different he sure is brilliant with leg locks and clearly can finish the job with a submission but yes his opponent can not be underestimated Ilia Topuria has a decent takedown defense and might see through any possible takedown techniques of Ryan Hall, but if Hall can pull this I think he can eventually submit this.

Either a big announcement is coming and we might see Francis Ngannou and Jon Jones fighting for the title
I just can't see Jon Jones coming back. I feel like Jon is trying to get as much as money as possible coming back, and because Dana is known to be quite stringent with his money, he's just pricing himself out of fights. I also think Jon Jones loses to quite a few of the heavyweights right now. I do believe he might beat Ngannou on the technical side, but he only has to get caught once.

That's the thing about Ngannou. Not the most technical by any stretch of the imagination, but the guy is gifted athletically, and can switch the lights off on anyone they put him in with. Having said that, Ngannou has got notably better in a small amount of time on the technical side.

I have a feeling that all these "Ngannou problems with Dana White"  are artificial. This is a multiple step strategy how to set Gane vs Ngannou fight more expensive.
Either a big announcement is coming and we might see Francis Ngannou and Jon Jones fighting for the title, if not i cannot understand why the fight between Derrick Lewis and Francis Ngannou would change and there were even reports that both the fighters are in camps training for each other and now we are not hearing about Jon Jones for a while and may be this will be a huge announcement coming soon.

^  I don’t think Gane will be ready for Ngannou imho.  Ngannou is a beeaaast.  He has gotten a lot better as shown in his rematch vs Miocic.  And I don’t think a match against Gane would even be close.  Line for Ngannou could open at 1.50 and that’s optimistic.

Edit:  Gane opens as a huge favorite vs Lewis at 1.36.  I think I’m gonna bet Lewis.  MMA doesn’t work on him as shown vs Blaydes.  Lolol.  Cheesy
You shouldn't underestimate Ciryl Gane IMO. Even if Ngannou is a tough fighter with several KO victories in the first round, you shouldn't forget they come from the same team together, the Paris MMA Factory, so Ciryl Gane, his coach and his team know Ngannou very well , and all his weak points too. If Gane says he's ready to fight Ngannou you can believe him, his game plan is already made.
Moreover Ngannou is only HW champion since one single match and he has yet to show how he's able to defend his title.

I’m not.  Ngannou has the strength advantage between the two and he has improved a ton since losing to Miocic and Lewis.  It didn’t show until he fought Miocic again in the rematch.  I bet Miocic that time cos I really didn’t think Ngannou didn’t improve.  But you know what happened there.

I'm fancying Derrick Lewis all day long in the next fight. Don't get me wrong, Gane is talented, and I did say he needed to have a few more fights before taking on some of the bigger names. Well, I think Derrick will catch him too many times, and put him to sleep. Although, I will say if he can beat Derrick, while taking some of his shots I'll be impressed, and will buy into the hype into Gane a little more.

On a side note, I'm rewatching some of The Ultimate Fighter seasons, and its interesting to look at some of the guys from the old seasons, and how far they reached it in UFC or MMA in general. Some of them that didn't win the show, had some respectable records.

My hype was still on Gane, I think he can outmaneuver Derrick the Black Beast Lewis and because of Ciryl Ganes, speed I think he can make many strikes than Lewis, and end the fight with a decision, and from the recent fight of Lewis, he TKO Alexander Volkov but with Gane's tactics and fight wisely technique I think he can sure win it, but apparently, I am having doubts with Gane's strength, this could be a tougher opponent for Ciryl Gane one wrong move and he could be food for the Black Beast, But my support is still with Ciryl Gane.

Ryan Hall is fighting llia Topuria on the Mcgregor VS Poirer card, and I'm excited to see Ryan Hall fight again. It seems like its been forever with the amount of cancelled bouts hes had. I understand that Topuria will be a considerable favorite going into the match up, but you can never write off a guy like Ryan, because of his constant threat with is heel hooks, and his special ability in the 50/50 position. Might be worth a punt for a submission.

Currently, and this may change I'm going for;
Mcgregor (although I'm probably slightly wanting Poirier to win)
Ryan Hall
Stephen Thompson
Tai Tuivasa

I also like Poirier but I think that Connor Mcgregor after their 2nd fight will surely anticipate what Dustin Poirier will do, but again Dustin Poirier change a lot and Connor Mcgregor as well have changed his style this is shown when he fought Cowboy Cerrone, and looking at Mcgregor on their 2nd fight the new McGregor was anticipated by Poirier, both of them are countering each other, and right now this is one of those fights that people will surely love to see,

The Return of Ryan Hall back on his last fight on July 13, 2019, I really miss the way he tries to give his opponent the trouble to go out from his Clutches on leg locks and is good on the ground fight that was really amazing and very smart for Ryan Hall.

One cancelation for UFC 264 as Louis Smolka withdraw from his fight with Sean O'Malley and UFC is looking for some replacement fighter.

Hm...I don't know if O'Malley should accept that, but I also don't know if he has a choice. Sometimes those last-minute changes turn out bad for fighters that prepared for a completely different style of fighting, but let's see who they will pick for the replacement.

The same is true for Ngannou too. They both know each others styles, and quite honestly us fans also know the styles of these two. They aren't that unpredictable, especially Ngannou. Yet, they keep getting wins, despite others knowing the danger. Its simply because Ngannou is a powerful dude, and unless your perfect on the night, hes going to catch you at least once, and because of the power that he throws his shots, its likely lights out if he catches you cleanly.

That is true, Ngannou isn't super experienced in terms of defending his title. Although, it would be unfair to not give him props for his athletic ability, and fighting capability. He's been fighting from a young age, and he isn't going to just lose that because hes now defending his title. I think I would argue its harder to challenge for the title, and to defend it. Unless, de-motivation seeps in to already achieving their goal.

I don't know if this is appropriate in this thread but Hasbullah Magomedov vs. Abdu Rozik is an eccentric event because it's a battle between two dwarfs. Are there odds for their fight or they don't want to have a piece of it?

There are situations, when UFC champs refuse to fight the fighters, UFC management ask them to fight. Like Aljamain Sterling refusing to rematch Petr Yan for example, Adesanya once selected to fight against Romero, instead top contender, JJ asking for more money and many other example. I think that UFC management are sick and tired of such behaviour, when champion selects his next opponent or asks for extra condition, instead champ does what UFC management wants.

The situation with Ngannou is indicative (if this is a correct word to say, I just google translated it). If a fighter does not make what UFC staff wants, they take his belt and make an interim title fight. They show that they are bosses or puppet masters.

I would not say that Ngannou "could not be hurt by Gane's strikes". Gane is a Muai Thai fighter. Sure Ngannou would feel knees and elbow (which Gane likes throw). Btw, Gane and Ngannou has similar weight and height. We just need to put them next to each other and there will no much difference in size Cheesy

I have a feeling that all these "Ngannou problems with Dana White"  are artificial. This is a multiple step strategy how to set Gane vs Ngannou fight more expensive.

The problem is not artificial. According to some news articles, Francis Ngannou is available only on September, however, UFC 265 is on August. Dana might have taken the timing of this problem to create his new storyline hehe.

Francis Ngannou and Cyril Gane also have a history together because they were training partners before Ngannou left his former gym.

Gane and Ngannou have a history, as both men trained at the MMA Factory. Today, though, Gane says he has no problem squaring off against his former sparring partner, who has since relocated to Las Vegas, where he works at Xtreme Couture and the UFC Performance Institute.

It is now confirmed that UFC265 main event will be on August 7 between Derrick Lewis and Ciryl Gane and this card will also have other great fights like Amanda Nunes vs Julianna Peña,
and Jose Aldo is back again in fight with Pedro Munhoz.
Ciryl Gane is now ranked number 3 below Stipe Miocic and Derrick Lewis, and Alexander Volkov dropped to fifth place.

Well, not a literal hurt, I am saying that Ngannou can withstand Cyril Gane's strikes, I guess that Volkov can sure withstand a good lethal blow of Gane so is Ngannou or Miocic will, but I think that Cyril Gane can still sure win against Ngannou or Miocic, but it will all end with a decision, I am just concern on the part that Gane is sure struggling in defeating his next opponent,

I have seen videos of Cyril Gane and Francis Ngannou getting their practice sparring and both men are equal in weight and height, if we look closer Gane is even with Ngannou's height, but weight or height will surely not matters here the strategy, skills, and technique are needed to defeat an opponent, and that Ngannou problem I really it is not for show, but if it is then Dana White is doing something for the popularity of the fight.
