Whoa! UFC Fight Night 172 Dan Ige is a new fight that needs to prove himself some more in my opinion but his previous fights had won great exception why he got paired with Calvin Kattar but with the record of only 14-2-0 he needs to prove that he can beat a 21-4-0 record but I can not conclude to their records but I am going with Experience here despite the impressive feat that Dan Ige's correct winning streak, I guess Kattar can immobilize him on his winning streak.

Indeed this is not an easy fight for him, his skill will be tested here. If he could somehow win this fight in undoubtful result, then his record will improved in a nice way. But if Kattar win this fight by devastating TKO, Dan Ige will have some hard time coming back. They will need to give their all here because this fight will change the entire flow of their carreer.

^  Yup.  But then again watch Ige vs Barboza.  Ige is a tough dude.  I mean if he gets the W...  Wow.  I wouldn't bet on it tho.  I bet on the over 2.5 rounds at 1.61ish.

Let's get ready for new UFC fight night 172 as this event will start in less than one day.
My bets for now are this:

Lerone Murphy vs Ricardo Ramos
Ramos lost only one of last six fights and against Khabib cousin.

Calvin Kattar vs Dan Ige
This can go either way and I will try live betting.
If it goes to distance Ige 50k will probably win.

Jimmie Rivera vs Cody Stamann
This is last chance for Rivera to stay in UFC, as he lost last two fights and had no fight for more than a year, but I will give slight advantage to Stamann here.

It's a competitive bout between Murphy and Ramos imo.  Murphy is mostly unknown atm which explains his line.

I like the Stamann pick.  Wouldn't bomb on or anything tho.  Save it for McCann.

Looking back at UFC 251 we can see that it generated around 1.3 millions in pay-per-views buys.
Some people expected to see more PPV then fight Khabib vs. McGregor (2.4 million ppv), but it was not the case.
Record is not broken Smiley
If the presence of Jorge Masvidal could pull 1.3 million pay per view buys then it will be the biggest pay per view this year and it is much bigger than UFC 100 and UFC 200 which is incredible as Eddie Alvarez v Conor McGregor was having 1.3 million pay per buys and no wonder Jorge Masvidal was demanding more money because he understands the value he is making for the UFC.

How smart were you?.

So how much did Dana give to Masvidal for this PPV?
He understands his value for sure knowing he is popular.  I believe there will still be talks about whether he gets some if he won and just this amount if lose. I actually thought he'd win this match over Usman but Usman had prepared a plan in taking the fight down to the ground.

For next UFC fight night 172 and main event we can see that odds are on Calvin Kattar as a heavy favorite.
Dan Ige (14-2) won six fights in a row.
Calvin Kattar (21-4)won three of his last four fights, and has small reach advantage.

I expect to see fight war, but I will consider only live betting, as this can go either way

News on Max Holloway's loss. Dana wants his trilogy for the featherweights and he might get his trilogy hehehe. It is fair for Max and his career, however.
Zabit Magomedsharipov and Yair Rodriguez is fighting and they might get the next title shot and Max Holloway should fight another contender before getting another title shot most probably Chan Sung Jung.

Also, Dana will give Khabib time to mourn his father. However, I speculate that he is telling his pet Conor to fight Justin Gaethje hehehe.
Hopefully Khabib will return to fight Gaethje but if there is a delay in his return then there is a possibility that Dana wants Conor to take the fight but will Conor take on Gaethje as he rejected that fight earlier.

UFC chief Dana White has hinted that the judges who scored Alexander Volkanovski victorious in his fight against Max Holloway could be SACKED.

David Lethaby was the only one to score it in favour of Holloway, with MMA Fighting revealing the scorecards.

That judge gave the former featherweight champion rounds one, two and five.

The two other judges, Mark Collett and Clemens Werner, scored it for Volkanovski, both giving him the last three rounds.

In the post-fight presser, White was in no doubt who should have got the decision.

He said: “You can’t leave it to these guys. We’ve got some bad judging.

The UFC brass will not be rushing Khabib Nurmagomedov’s return to the Octagon.

Nurmagomedov is the UFC lightweight champion. He’s due for a showdown with interim titleholder Justin Gaethje. Nurmagomedov was eager to get back to action and even said he could return as soon as July. Those plans changed when Khabib’s father, Abdulmanap, became ill. While Abdulmanap showed signs of improvement, he eventually passed away in a Moscow hospital due to complications from COVID-19.

Maybe the Judges were against Max Holloway this fight is a total disappointment and the majority of the UFC fighters think that Max Holloway did win the fight pretty disappointment as well.
There are times that judges has considered some things for a player to win. There are this instances that we will not be seeing on what they had been judging. It will depend also on how the player fight. Just like boxing to Floyd Mayweather. Many are saying that he is gay to which I do believe was right but he just only shows a completely exceptional defense and offense in a calculated manner. In this case this fight also looks the same anyway both of them are considered as winners already in that ring.

Well we will never see the judges perspective on what the majority have seen and we tend to have a different judgment on the fight that includes the judge's decisions and we can not argue with that let's just say the rules were clear on the judge's end and if many are not happy about it then all that is left to do is moving on.

[snip]

I also thought he's going to win against Kamaru Usman but the Nigerian Knightmare have won the fight even though Masvidal has given a great performance against this short notice fight I really wish there can be a rematch anytime soon and this time Masvidal can prepare for that fight but for now, I think  Colby Covington is next for Jorge Masvidal.
It's Nightmare dude Cheesy. Anyway, yeah Masvidal did a great job because he really gave Usman a hard time despite of the less preparation he had. But there should be no excuses, a loss is a loss. And that's what I like about him, he is cocky but knows how  accept defeat. Nice!

It's cooler to call him Knightmare in my opinion, just like the boss from the Soul Caliber games but anyway Masvidal is a sportsmanship dude and he is likely to accept this loss because he doesn't really need to prove himself in this fight because it is a sudden decision without preparation, but imagine how he put up a good fight with Usman I think he deserves a 2nd shot in trying it again.

I think that would be the biggest UFC even ever, unless he fights Khabib again but I think a McGregor Masvidal fight would be a better match up.
McGregor and Masvidal could be a huge fight and if they put the BMF belt on the line they can sell the tickets and it can be one of the biggest fights in combat history as they can promote the fight like we have never seen and the amount of hype Masvidal could create in a short replacement says volumes about his fanbase.

Paige VanZant isn't very good and I think she's only there for eye candy really, sadly. Will be interesting to see if she goes for another contract. She's not a great fighter but I'm sure she still brings in some eyeballs. Maybe she should stick to promoting shit on Instagram if that's where the money is for her
Paige VanZant will be testing the open market as UFC will not be signing her again, she needs to improve her fights skills and come back better.

Masvidal with proper training camp could have been much better fight against Usman, so I think we may see rematch at some point.
My bet was correct, as I expected to see all 5 rounds.

Don't  forget that in less than 3 days we have UFC fight night and main event Kattar VS. Ige
I will make my predictions in next few days

Stayed up to watch the fights. Pretty good card overall.  Masvidal did decent but Usman was the better fighter. Glad Masvidal didn't give any excuses post-match but taking the fight on such short notice should be considered. I'd really like to see him fight McGregor at some point if he ever comes back. It seems so does Dana: https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/12095198/conor-mcgregor-jorge-masvidal-fight-ufc/

Max Holloway clearly won his fight. No idea what the judges were doing but pretty much everyone seemed to think he had it.

Jose Aldo fight should have been stopped much earlier. No idea what the ref was doing. It seemed like Aldo was just waiting for the ref to step in and stop the beating.

Namajunas deserved the decision, though the fight was pretty close.

I'm not actually sure about Masvidal's next fight but one thing is for sure. I can sense that there would be a bad blood building between Volkanovski and Korean Zombie. Things are getting more interesting Shocked. Read his statement/url] after the fight,

Quote
I am responding to yesterday’s title match against Volkanovski and Holloway. To be honest, it is shameful that Volkanovski is a champion of my weight class.

Give him to me then you don’t need to worry about the judges decision.

As you know, I won’t let the judges decide the result of my fight. I will finish him at the title match and that is what UFC fans want to watch.

I thought Masvidal have a greater chance of winning because of his good performance on round one but everything changed onwards. Kamaru clearly dominated him on the next 4 rounds. Yeah! It seems a boring fight but Usman's dirty boxing and wrestling skills obviously make Gamebred exhausted.

Indeed. I'm a fan of Volkanovski but dude IMHO Holloway got robbed. Maybe Dana is up to something hmm Huh. I hope there's a rematch again to settle everything.

UFC 251 was so hard to watch especially the main event when all I've saw was foot stamp after foot stomp on Masvidal. Also in my opinion Max Hollway clearly won that fight but I don't get it how the referees could score the game 3 2 for Volkanovsky as even Dana told on press that were some bad judges on this fights.
Max Holloway will be really upset with the decision as i thought he won the fight but the judges scored for Alexander Volkanovski may be because he was able to take Max Holloway down and in the fifth round he was able to control the fight but that does take away the performance of Max in the first three rounds, i do not call it robbery but it was a close fight.

What I found against human rights is Also being robbed some years of his life because of that referee who didn't stop the fight even if it was already over for more than 30 seconds...
Are you talking about the Aldo fight, the reason may be the Aldo is a legendary fighter and the referee has to give him the opportunity to recover and if he calls the fight early then the fighter could protest and may be that is the reason, either way it is hard to be a referee.

Petr Yan has won a vacant Bantamweight Championship belt. Does he counts now as a champ in his division or he needs to fight someone else to be counted as a true champ?

He already a champion if we stick by the rules. but if he wants to prove that he really is, he needs to face some top contender in their division and when he able to defeat that challenger
I 100% agree on this one. Since he got the belt so easily (but don't get me wrong, Aldo is a tough veteran) then the least he can do is to defend as much as he could. That's the only way to prove others that he is now the king and can't dethrone by anyone. Though the Bantamweight's list is not as solid like the other divisions, i can still see good contenders for him like Garbrandt, Moraes, Asuncao and the rising superstar Sean O'Malley. It will not be smooth journey for him Grin.
