^  Lol yup.  The more he was hyped to be some sort of Rousey protege, the more I felt something bad was about to happen.

And I think Calderwood could be pregnant.  Dunno...  She fainted after the match.

Anyway, won with Green, lost with Saenz, Herman bet cancelled, parlay cancelled.  Weird card.

Oh boy somebody made great profit betting on Derek Brunson, as we won in third round by TKO.
He was much better than Shahbazyan and he deserved to win in this fight
The hype train of Edmen Shahbazyan was put on halt by Derek Brunson, the problem with Derek Brunson is that he always like to trade fire with fire and never uses his brains and usually ends up loosing but this fight he fought really different and took Edmen Shahbazyan down and controlled the fight on the ground.

Another surprise was Joanne Calderwood, she could have waited and fought for the championship but took the risk and paid the prize and Jennifer Maia showed her submission skills.

I got Ed Herman, Green and parlayed Holland and Borg.  I'm still thinking about pulling the trigger on Calderwood.  I think it's better to wait right before the weigh ins to get a better price since her line is still going down.
I was searching for Ray Borg to wage a bet and then i had to google what happened to know that he is out of the card which was unfortunate.

My picks are Jamall Emmers, Kevin Holland, Lando Vannata, Vicente Luque, Jennifer Maia and Joanne Calderwood with over 2.5 rounds and Edmen Shahbazyan. Hope i wont bust everything  Grin.

The Gerald Meerschaert and Ed Herman removed from the card due to Corona positive result from Gerald Meerschaert.

I'm with you on this pick as I think Saenz is way more prepared than Martinez even if the odds are against him tonight. On the other side, I'm rooting for Derek aswell as last main events of the UFC's none of the contenders won so this might be the one.

Dropped some action on Saenz at 3.05.  Martinez looks like he had a bad weight cut and looked deflated at the scale.  And it's a smaller cage at the Apex.  It favors wrestlers more than strikers.  So it's worth a gamble I guess.

Glad I didn't pull the trigger on Calderwood yet cos now I'm thinking of betting Maia.  Calderwood didn't look like she wanted to be there judging from her weigh in and her face off.  Maia is game and could go full on Chookagian vs Calderwood.  Dunno...

So that's Herman, Green, Saenz and maybe Maia.  My Borg and Holland parlay was cancelled cos Borg backed out.  Valiev and Spicely are out too.  Heh.

UFC Fight Night is back in Las Vegas with main event Brunson vs. Shahbazyan
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UFC_Fight_Night:_Brunson_vs._Shahbazyan

Shahbazyan is heavy favorite in this fight, but I honestly never watched him perform.
His record is fantastic so far with 11 wins in 11 fights and four of that in UFC.
Maybe this is his first real test against experienced 36 year old Derek Brunson (20-7)

I think you mixed things up, and I was not talking about his fight with Justin Gaethje but about potential fight that comes after that with Georges StPierre. Smiley
We are going to see what happens in near future.
When Georges St-Pierre expressed his interest on becoming a three division world champion the UFC especially Dana White was against it because he knew that GSP will not defend the belt and he broke the promise that he will defend the Middleweight belt but ended up vacating and retiring again but now the situation has changed dramatically, Khabib wants to fulfill his fathers dream of retiring at 30 fights which i personally do not want him to follow that and the final fight would be against GSP and he even said the date to be April 2021 to be his last fight and now Dana White accepted that he is willing to grand the wishes of Khabib if he wants to fight GSP.

If GSP accepts the fight it will be the biggest fight in MMA history. GSP coming off another 4 years lay off and returning for a third belt and the last fight of the undefeated king from Russia Cheesy.

Middleweight:  Derek Brunson vs Edmen Shahbazyan

Edmen Shahbazyan is the favorite here and his knockout power is the best there is but if Derek Brunson can get to take on the advantage over the less experienced young Shahbazyan if he would able to survive the first round that is Because Brunson is very susceptible to getting knockout
that being said most of his losses were all came to a knockout out so Shahbazyan can still have the winning upper hand here if he could finish off quickly and easy against Derek Brunson.

Women's Flyweight:  Joanne Calderwood vs Jennifer Maia

Another fight that is worth the watch and a safe bet to pick another fan favorite non other than Joanne Calderwood I think she is a safe pick to win the day because of her strength in her close range Caldewoodd will surely have an advantage with fighting Jennifer Maia in the punching competition.

^  New event..  The lines mostly for this one are wide and it seems like there are lesser spots than there was compared to the Whitaker vs Till one.  But we'll see.  I've been practicing my MMA betting skillz.  Grin
I am also practicing for sometime and in the last card Fabricio Werdum showed his class when i expected Alexander Gustafsson to maintain distance against a ground expert like Werdum and made some silly mistakes in the card with over under rounds Grin.

I need to look at the clips of under card fighters to decide my picks, till then waiting for your picks  Smiley.

It might be weird, but looking at this card , the fight that I'm looking forward to the most is Ray Borg fight to be honest. I really like the way this guy fights and hope that it's only a matter of time before he gets some bigger fights.
Ray Borg is a tough fighter and i waged a bet for him in his last fight against Ricky Simon which went the distance and a split decision loss and i might be going with over rounds rather than picking an opponent as Ray Borg always goes the decision and not an easy fight for anyone in the division.

I got Ed Herman, Green and parlayed Holland and Borg.  I'm still thinking about pulling the trigger on Calderwood.  I think it's better to wait right before the weigh ins to get a better price since her line is still going down.

True, if he is not clearly wining the fight usually goes the distance as he is really tough guy to K.O. or submit, so from betting aspect that might be a good strategy. I'more focused on the heart aspect so that is why I would love to see him improve just a bit so he can end the fights and not rely on decision lottery.

There are some first early odds for potential fight Khabib Nurmagomedov vs Georges StPierre, and Khabib is shown as heavy favorite.
It is not even sure fight will even happen as GSP retired some time ago, but it is interesting to see that people showed a lot of interest for this fight.
Khabib already said he's open to fighting GSP (possibly on April) after his match with Justin - Khabib SNUBS Conor McGregor as he claims he will fight Georges St-Pierre in April after Gaethje at UFC 252

GSP has expressed many times before that he's willing to come out of retirement to face Khabib and said the fight couldn't prosper because Dana doesn't want him beating Khabib.

In his recent interview, GSP once again mentioned his potential return to face the winner of Khabib vs. Justin. Dana, on the other hand, expressed his openness on that potential fight.

What will be Khabib's speech be after the fight? Retirement or a speech against China for causing the spread of this plague hehehe
Glad to see that Khabib is willing to fight in October when the president was willing to give him the option to return whenever he wants, it is going to be a huge fight and we might see a retirement speech after that or hopefully he will get a fight against GSP as his father wanted and it all depends on the fight between Gaethje as he is a really tough opponent and if he fights the way he fought Tony it is a big hurdle.

UFC president Dana White has revealed the date for Khabib Nurmagomedov vs. Justin Gaethje.

CNN spoke to White, who said that Nurmagomedov was hit hard by the death of Abdulmanap.

“It’s been very rough on him,” White told CNN Sport’s Don Riddell. “His father was a hero to him, he loved his father, they had a very close relationship and it was very hard on him.”

The UFC boss went on to break some news. He announced that the UFC lightweight title unification bout between champion Khabib and interim title holder Gaethje will happen on Oct. 24.

“It’s going to happen, tell you right here right now. That fight is going to happen,” he said. “Khabib vs. Gaethje, October 24th.”

The star of Khamzat Chimaev exploded after his two fight domination ten days apart in different weight class which is a record and now there are talks about him fighting in the next fight card as well and his visa procedure is undergoing as we speak and it will be crazy if he dominates the next fight as well.

^  Chimaev competes mostly in WW but moved up a couple weeks ago at MW.  So it's prolly him wlaking around heavier then fought at UFC Fight Island 2 then lost the weight to fight again at UFC Fight Island 3.

But yeah..  He's gonna be a contender in a couple of years or less.
Khamzat Chimaev was a freestyle wrestler and was completely dominating the wrestling circuits in welterweight and middleweight division and 3 years back he started MMA because of the money involved as he was not making a dime in wrestling, his first fight in the UFC at Abu Dhabi in the fight island recently was a short notice replacement and he will be fighting at welterweight in the UFC. The only doubt i have about him is his endurance and stamina when he faces high level competition.
