^  New event..  The lines mostly for this one are wide and it seems like there are lesser spots than there was compared to the Whitaker vs Till one.  But we'll see.  I've been practicing my MMA betting skillz.  Grin

I could see a couple of parlayable matches tho.  Will post asap.

It might be weird, but looking at this card , the fight that I'm looking forward to the most is Ray Borg fight to be honest. I really like the way this guy fights and hope that it's only a matter of time before he gets some bigger fights.

Good fight and main event Robert Whittaker vs Darren Till.
I expected Whittaker to win and he did with good odds.
There was never a doubt about this during the fight, and Till was trying and he did hurt Whittaker several times, and made this fight bloody.
All judges also agreed and Whittaker won all rounds.

^  Chimaev competes mostly in WW but moved up a couple weeks ago at MW.  So it's prolly him wlaking around heavier then fought at UFC Fight Island 2 then lost the weight to fight again at UFC Fight Island 3.

But yeah..  He's gonna be a contender in a couple of years or less.

~ Imagine, he shift into another weight class within just 10 days but still won. He only got a short preparation yet he seems don't feel any major adjustments the way he smashed his opponent.
Part of it is because of his youth. I hope he doesn't cut weight this often as it will surely take a toll on his body as he gets older and will definitely affect his future fights.

I wasn't expecting Whittaker vs Till to go the distance but it was an entertaining match still. One or two more wins will probably get Robert back to a title fight. Pretty disappointed with Gustafsson, maybe he should have stayed retired.

i wont be surprised if he comes back again for another fight in the next fight card as he did not take any damage and he might be planning to break some kind of record to appear in major events in a short space. Khamzat Chimaev will be in my radar for future events.
In part of Chimaev, I think there's no problem at all because just like what you've said, he did not took any damage and this man is really hungry for glory thus will grab any kind of opportunity present. But I hope Dana let him rest for now rest because he deserve it anyway. It's bad to train and fight only, adequate rest is a must too Smiley.
I was surprised with Fabrício Werdum as he could pull off a spectacular armbar which i did not expect as Alexander Gustafsson usually avoids going to the ground but Werdum showed his class on the ground. With Werdum never engage on the ground just run if not he will catch you somehow.
Well, that's how veteran BJJ specialist works Cheesy. Great job. But i admit that I feel disappointed with the results because Gustafsson lose on his debut as a HW.

Me: Dad I want to see Khabib fight
Dad: We already have Khabib at home.
*Khabib at home Grin

Chimaev is not playing around Shocked! What a dominating performance for him against Rhys McKee. Imagine, he shift into another weight class within just 10 days but still won. He only got a short preparation yet he seems don't feel any major adjustments the way he smashed his opponent. Take note, with a 0 damage taken! I knew it, he can be a big superstar someday.

I would really like to see Khabib again in the ring but that will need to wait and looking for another someone that is really entertaining to watch, and when I see this Chimaev guy dominating his opponent and why he might be a new Khabib, he can surely be a big superstar someday, while analysing his movement and technique you can tell that his movement is like a someone we know, but I am still a 100% Khabib fan, but Khamzat Chimaev is a truly worth to give an eye on.

It is actually crazy to fight in two division in a short period of time and still dominate the fight and win easily and i wont be surprised if he comes back again for another fight in the next fight card as he did not take any damage and he might be planning to break some kind of record to appear in major events in a short space. Darren Till and Robert Whittaker was a classic and it was a technically brilliant fight and Whittaker was able to win because of the volume and Till was the power puncher.

Here is the results.

Few hours left for start of UFC Fight Night and great main event Robbert Whittaker (21-5) VS. Daren Till (18-2-1), and prelims have now started!
Whittaker is favorite in main event here if we look at bookies odds, and he has only one lost fight in previous ten, and that was against champ Adesanya.
I think he will win, but best to wait for live betting if available.

Other two interesting fights are Werdum vs Gustafsson and Shogun Nogueira as co-main even.
I would bet on Gustafsson on his comeback, but odds are low for his win.
Both man lost two previous fights.

@eaLiTy  will look out for Khamzat Chimaev and Edmen Shahbazyan, i checked the profile of Edmen Shahbazyan and he is trained by Edmond Tarverdyan which i think is the worst coach in MMA and he really knows to hype a fighter Cheesy.

^  Yup, for sure.  A lot of people are hyping him to be the 'next Khabib' or something.  It should be an easy W for him...  But then again, keep in mind that he fought a couple weeks ago at MW and is now fighting again at WW.  That's another weight cut.

And made my last bet..  I parlayed Boser, Dalby and Aspinal at 2.49ish.  Smiley
I watched Khamzat Chimaev last fight and he is having a strong wrestling base and fights like Khabib, so what is his real weight class, did he fought MW last week and now cutting weight to WW  Shocked.

My bets are Aspinall, Chimaev, Marina Rodriguez, Gustafsson, Rua and Whittaker.

@eaLiTy did you check the odds for Khamzat Chimaev, 1.08  Tongue.
I did not check the odds but look out for Khamzat Chimaev in the next two years as he will be a title contender during that time period if he is not injured. I always look for young fighters who has the potential that could be title contenders just to wage during their earlier days and now there are two fighters which is Khamzat Chimaev and the next is Edmen Shahbazyan who is fighting Derek Brunson in August.

Here are the official weigh ins for the event.  I like this format with Dan Hardy and co talking to get an outside look of what they think as it happens.

Tense face off between Till and Whitaker.  Trinaldo missed weight...  Thinking about dropping some on Herbert now.  Grin

I won't be picking any picks as I don't have time to watch weigh-ins and check more info beforehand, as i consider that an important information, but I will watch this one for sure. Lots of interesting fight and I would personally go for Whitaker based on my impressions so far.

Till looks to loose in his fights and Whitaker is non forgiving type of fighter.
My bet will also goes to whittaker for it seems Till has done no good in the last few fights. He has been taking more losses and I guess there is a problem with him physically though news stated that he is determine to fight and get on in his career. But, determination is not the only key to success in this match. It does need talent, skills and strategy in fighting whom Whittaker has it. Greater chances for whittaker in this. I will going to watch it for sure.

Rodriguez is good standing up and striking but I think Esparza's take downs will make her think twice about moving forward as the fight progresses tho.  I think Esparza has one of the best take downs...  Right up there with Tatiana Suarez.
I am going with over 2.5 rounds as i think it is the best option considering the wrestling skills of Esparza but the confusion is that Esparza always have a hard time against good clean strikers.

And Chimaev's opponent, Rhys McKee, took the bout on short notice and he's kinda small for the division...  Basically throwing him to the wolves.  He should get a another manager imho.
No wonder the odds are this loop sided in favor of Khamzat Chimaev.

Edit:  Btw, this is the last event at Abu Dhabi.  It's back to Las Vegas for the next few events..  Prolly with the smaller cage.
Dana White recently said that if Las Vagas closes again he might shift the fight back to Abu Dhabi.

Edit:  And it was leaked that it's Adesanya vs Costa at UFC 253.  There's a bookie that had Costa as the underdog.  Def going all over that the minute it's available at FJ.

https://www.bestfightodds.com

If this true, then I cant wait for their fight. They must have fought long time, but due to Costa caught on steroids their fight was postponed all the time. Cost doesnt even look like a middleweight. Natural heavyweight, or as Adesanya said “inflated animal baloon / Ricky Martin wanna be”  Grin

Dont remeber Costa saying bad about anybody, only as a reply on an insult. While Adesanya talks a lot. Hope Costa will shut his mouth. Dont like people that talk shit about others for no reason.

^  Adesanya vs Costa's still great tho.

My picks for the weekend's event:  Whitaker at 1.87,  Esparza at 2.45 and Sobotta at 2.43.
I might be picking Whitaker but when it comes to Carla Esparza i am not too confident as i noticed Marina Rodriguez when she first drew with Randa Markos and then giving a hard fight to Cynthia Calvillo and yet another draw and she is basically undefeated in her career, the only issue is she does a hard weight cut to get to the division and have to see her on the day of weigh ins but over 2.5 rounds would be fair.
