^  Yup exactly.  But as I think more about it, I could see it going over 2.5.  And it's one of the bouts that you don't really know what's gonna happen just like Whitaker vs Romero.  So as a safer bet, I'll go for the over 2.5 rounds.

Edit:  And Costa has good cardio for a guy his size.
It is a really interesting fight and it is hard to predict what might happen in the fight as both fighters are undefeated and they are fighting for the belt, i do not remember any past fight where both the fighters are undefeated where one is defending the belt and one is fighting for the belt. Israel Adesanya is the superior technical striker but the problem is he has mileage in his fighting career and he got knocked out in the past in his kickboxing career and on the other hand Paulo Costa is really strong and a black belt in BJJ while having knockout power.

My prediction is, Paulo Costa is fighting 5 rounds for the first time and i have doubts about his stamina to last that much while we have seen  Israel Adesanya digging deep in the last rounds, i am expecting Israel Adesanya to take the fight to the later rounds and test the endurance of Costa.

^  Gut feeling, Costa.  The more I think about it, I don't know...  I'm pretty confident it could be over 2.5 rounds tho.

I have nothing against your gut feel on Costa winning but I don't see it at over 2.5 rounds unless you also see Costa pinning Adesanya on the ground. I kinda agree with Dan that he'll charge, start quickly, and give it all in the first two rounds. I don't think he has the gas tank to keep up with Adesanya after two rounds of high volume striking.

As Adesanya puts it, Costa will be the Bull and he'll be the Matador.

UFC 253 Countdown - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0wskZFgkwhg

Let's start with what will probably happen between Adesanya and Costa.

Adesanya's strengths are his striking skills and dexterity. He moves pretty well and a great counter puncher too.
Costa has his jiu jitsu background, submission, and is also known for his power.

During Costa's previous fights, his opponents stands still often which allows him to land those power punches. Adesanya isn't like that, he is elusive. I think Costa will be frustrated trying to knock him out on the feet. He'll have to rely on his submission skills or ground and pound to win.

Oh boy I am so pumped and excited for next UFC 253 event!
Card is great and two fights I love to watch is Israel Adesanya vs. Paulo Costa and Dominick Reyes vs. Jann Błachowicz
My early picks are Adesanya and Reyes, but I need to make some research and read news before making bets.

Covington wouldn't dare exchange blows against Woodley. He'll take him to the ground for sure. He'll try to throw punches here and there to mix it up but the end game is to finish the fight in the ground via submission or TKO. If the fight goes to the 5th round, Woodley would end up frustrated lying on the ground most of the fight.

I prefer Cowboy to retire. He probably has little power left in his kicks but he doesn't have a good chin anymore. Niko might not be that skilled in striking compared to Cowboy but the guy has some serious KO power. He finishes opponents in some weird ways too, just look at how he KO'd someone with a hammer fist while on his back  Grin

For Khamzat Chimaev, well, what else can we say about this guy? I don't know if it's even worth it to check his opponent.
I think I got the Covington-Woodley analysis right somehow. A takedown right off the bat  Grin

Cowboy has outdone himself this time and kudos to him. He ate a lot of good shots in the early rounds. I don't agree with the decision though and I think Price should have won by split decision at least.

On Khamzat's fight, yeah there was no need to know who the opponent is.

Adesanya vs. Costa is up next! https://www.ufc.com/event/ufc-253

Co-main event (Reyes vs. Blachowicz) is a must watch too.

Its was super easy win for Colby Covington, and I think the same as Dana White - it is time for Woodley to retire.
Covington dominate him in all rounds and now he is aiming for champ belt again.
Other fight I got surprised with result was D. Cerone vs Niko Price draw, as looking at fight I though Cerone won.
He was not happy with the outcome for sure, unlike Niko Price Smiley

I should say Nice! for Colby Covington winning you can see from start to finish that Covington really dominates that fight and when Woodley had bloodied his face that was the end of it, then Covington his shouting that it is Broken and that he is calling for Usman to be next,

And after that fight the interview on Covington was interrupted by a call and non other than the president himself.

What do you think about Chimaev KO? Right cross and fight was over. Only 17 seconds in round 1.
Gerald Meerschaert is not a newbie according to his record, but got KOed so easily.

GM3 is kinda chinny.  He also got KO'd in the match before...  Not that I'm taking anything away from Chimaev.  He's def a prospect.

Anyway, I'm 3 - 0 for the event.  Nice to have some wins for a change.  Cheesy  Can't wait for the next one.

This is not the fastest knockout in ufc history, Masvidal put Askren to sleep in 3 seconds. But this one is probably of of the fastest. I am always amazed when people prepare for the fight for months, and then everything ends in less than a minute. I really hope that this is more skill than just luck.

Well, that just how it goes for that man. no matter how strong you are when you get that power punch landed on your chin, only a few fighters can survive which is not the case for him this time. I think it was one of the fastest knowckout in the UFC history and Damn! man his knockout will be listed in the top UFC K.O videos on Youtube. just check out this video:

One of the best fight cards with 4 submissions and 6 knockouts. Khamzat Chimaev surprised me yet again, i was expecting him to take the fight to the ground against a submission specialist but he knocked out Gerald Meerschaert with a single punch and proved he has lethal hands along with his ground game and now Dana White is saying that he might fight before facing Demian Maia which is really crazy as i have not seen anyone fights and dominates two weight divisions coming up the ranks.

Colby Covington once again proves how skillful he is, i always underestimated him but he always proves me wrong.

The fighter that surprised me in this fight card is Darrick Minner, i was expecting Laramie to finish the fight and avoid the grappling exchanges but he presented his neck to a submission specialist within the first minute of the fight.

UFC Fight Night: Covington vs. Woodley

This is a very interesting fight Colby Covington in my opinion would take this win but I think this can be a unanimous one for Covington because Tyron Woodley is not a pretty easy one, to begin with, Woodley had a great reach that he can exploit to put some free strikes on Covington I really think his accuracy in striking is pretty impressive and might get Covington by going all out with it, But my boy Covington has a big advantage with his Cardio and might last around thinking of ways on getting an opportunity for the win, It can be a take-down or a submission to his liking overall I think Colby Covington may win this fight.

@7788bitcoin. Agreed! We have already witnessed Dana's minions overhype many of these young fighters similar to cryptocoin pumpers hyping their scams hehehe. There was Brunson, Ed Shabayzan, Jonny Walker and now Khamzat Chimaev.

I am quite certain there are a few more.

Speaking of McGregor did anyone see his latest shenanigans of getting arrested for alleged indecent exposure
The habit of getting into trouble continues, no idea about the truth about indecent exposure but everyone is eyeing for a peace of the share of the millions he earned throughout his career, may be these legal issues are coming up on purpose because they knows that he will settle out of court.

He really needs to return to fighting or his legacy will be ruined at this point. He could have been one of the greats but he left too early for that in my opinion. He should just sign a whopping contract for three fights or something. Diaz trilogy, maybe Gamebred and then the Khabib rematch. Every single one of them would be the biggest PPVs in UFC history.
If Conor McGregor wants to fight and built his legacy back again he needs to avoid Khabib and fight strikers and when Khabib retires just blame him for not giving him the rematch  Cheesy. I really do not see McGregor beating Khabib.

Chimaev is playful. Gerald has been responding well too. I love how they're making bets already with "if I do this to you, if I do that to you"  Grin
Well, everyone's trying to sell the card and create "rivalries" for PPVs.
The confidence level of Khamzat Chimaev is really high but he is facing a really experienced fighter in Gerald Meerschaert who has 23 submission wins and that too he is fighting in Middle weight division. I wont be surprised if the hype derails before he gets to Demian Maia for the next fight.

It's pretty good. Not sure what Cowboy is doing as the penultimate fight though. He didn't even make the main card last time and got KFO by McGregor within a minute. Speaking of McGregor did anyone see his latest shenanigans of getting arrested for alleged indecent exposure: https://www.irishmirror.ie/sport/ufc/conor-mcgregor-arrested-pictures-show-22676879

I don't pay much attention to what they do outside the octagon. I think Jon Jones have done much worse but he's still one of the most watched fighter in MMA. His legacy remains even after being caught of using substance more than once.

For McGregor, all Dana needs to do is arrange a good money fight for Conor and he'll be back in a heartbeat.

~ Anyway, for Chimaev fans itt...  Watch the vid.  He talked a lot of trash.  Lol.  I hope he doesn't end up being a flop.
