In the coming weekend on Sunday another fight and it is on the heavyweight division we can sure let go of that McGregor VS Cowboy topic for now and go with the flow in my opinion.
Curtis Blaydes   vs Junior dos Santos is a really good fight in the heavyweight division as the winner will come closer to a title contention and if Junior dos Santos has the old chin and punching power he will win and Curtis Blaydes also has the power and wrestling pedigree but i am going with Junior dos Santos.

Rafael dos Anjos   vs Michael Chiesa, i am expecting Michael Chiesa to wrestle with Rafael dos Anjos and if that is the case Chiesa can win the fight but if he tries the striking game then Rafael dos Anjos will win and hence the interest.

^  You beat me to it.  I just changed the event post at the first page.  Lol.  But I appreciate your work.  Thanks.

Anyway...  Yeah.  Filler event before the big one with Jones vs Reyes and the Shev bout.

hehe, I just want to clear out the topic from the previous match and move on to the new one, and well while that Mcgregor and Cerrone match was quite a punch I guess this next one will be a heated up as well, so I might as well post the next matchup for the Fight Night 166 well in my opinion, Curtis Blaydes even though he has the least of winning than Junior Dos Santos I guess he got the upper hand because of his great ground fighting, And both fighters had lost to Francis Ngannou but Curtis Blaydes had come with two wins and Junior Dos Santos with a loss with Ngannou.

This graphic had be thrown off because it depicts FRANKIE EDGAR is playing but in fact he is not
Good eye. Frankie wasn't even on the card  Cheesy
Here's the updated image from the wikipedia link

There are so many unfamiliar names here. I think we are going to see another veteran beatings in the main card. Curtis and Michael should take advantage of this opporunity to get closer to that title. Does anyone know any exciting fighter in the preliminary card that is worth watching?

FE is 1 of my top favorite fighters and I want to see him come back but not this soon

@tokeweed Life is not just about money jeez! These Celebrities wouldn't have been going through depression and shit if life was all about money! Just do a quick google search and see how many have suffered through depression! As for Mcgregor, let's just say the guy is a good fighter but money has got to his head...

Just saying.  It's the business they're in, the entertainment business, so don't put words in my mouth.

But...  Khabib's dad tho.  Asking for 100m to fight his son?  Lolol.

He mentioned that amount of 100m just for fun or to show that atm this fight is something unreachable for UFC/Conor.
Doubt that he really intended to earn 100m Smiley

@mich. Is that the father's move on how to make it appear that his son is the real money fight? He is only giving more negotational leverage for Conor.
This is what it is sounding like.  They are making it sound like Khabib is the bigger money fight guy then is Conor.
Even Dana White said so himself recently

"Everybody talks about how rich Conor is,” White said. “Khabib is rich. Khabib has that type of money. Khabib has that type of money. When I say that type of money, I mean over $50 million.”

Tony Ferguson must be furious reading all these statements from Khabib's father and even Dana. It's as if he's invisible. I hope he beats Khabib and make UFC more exciting than what it already is  Cool
It is a fact that everyone is ignoring the threat of Tony Ferguson but he is the biggest threat to anyone in the division and for Khabib because of his ground skills even when he is put on his back and both are good in the ground and there is no way it is going to be a dull fight as it will be like a chess match and some might not like the fight but for real fight fans this is the biggest fight in UFC history.

I think that training camp he did pay off, and in seeing this new Conor McGregor I think we may see him conquer towards this year.
It was refreshing to see the way he approached this fight than he usually does and the way in which he won the fight was great but if he wants to fight the champions in 155 and 170 pound division then it is a difficult task altogether because of the power the higher division athletes possess will be bigger than a fighter who fought at 145 pounds as all those fighters are cutting down a lot of weight to reach that division while Conor is walking at that weight pound and it will be a huge difference when they fight. With the win over Cerrone he does have the leverage to fight anyone opponent in any weight division and it is interesting to hear who he is planning to fight next.

Looking quite sure about his decision but Conor McGregor can not just go forth on who he will come up against because many in that higher division are sure a worthy opponent to take him down as of on how he shouldn't take on Khabib Nurmagomedov right now because I am not seeing any ground counter that Conor had to develop against Nurmagomedov so in my opinion he should consider it first and fight another fighter in the same division he is now.

We also need revenge against Conor, but give us $100 million,” commented Nurmagomedov Snr. “The day after the fight against Ferguson, give us that amount, and then why not hold a rematch? I don’t know, maybe Dana White wants to arrange it (for that amount). He needs that fight.
The talk about haram and doing UFC not just for the money just went out of the window eh?  Cheesy

Khabib's old man sure knows how to talk about business now and I can't say he's wrong with his approach. Everyone wants a piece of his son too and the belt he holds but Conor is still the most lucrative fight to make. It's only right to take advantage of all the opportunities while his son is still in his prime.

If Conor McGregor Wants His Rematch With Khabib Nurmagomedov, It’ll Cost the UFC $100 Million
If Khabib earned a disclosed amount of over $6 million dollars in his last fight and the amount of money he earned through PPV buys is not yet disclosed and i do not think that they will be disclosing that but i expect that he would have earned around 20 to 30 million in his last fight against Dustin Poirier and the disclosed amount is his show money for the event and hence i am predicting these amounts.

It is a good leverage as Dana White even said it could reach the level of Mayweather and Conor which means it will be a huge pay per day which could be a few hundred million dollars and if Dana can predict that the fight could be that huge then there is nothing wrong in Khabib's dad asking for that kind of money  Cheesy. The last fight Khabib fought also made a huge amount of money and considering that it will be the biggest Pay per view event in the companies history surpassing their first fight.

If Conor McGregor Wants His Rematch With Khabib Nurmagomedov, It’ll Cost the UFC $100 Million

Khabib’s father, who holds huge influence over the Dagestani UFC champion, discussed a potential match this week. Speaking to Russian news outlet RIA Novosti Nurmagomedov Snr named his son’s price to entertain the Irishman once more.

$100 million.

No one will summarize that money is everything in life and anyone can go under depression and you do not need to be a big star or a celebrity to go to depression, you and me included. The issue with instant fame and money is that they will not have the understanding to handle the fame and celebrity status and so is the reason majority of them go under depression because they fulfilled what they started, to make money and they do not have an end goal after achieving what they started and when that happens they tend to go under the influence of drugs and alcohol and if that happen then your life is bound to end up in a misery. Here in the case with McGregor too he was getting welfare check from the government while working as a plumber before getting interested in fighting and after joining the UFC his life changed completely. As a fighter too Conor McGregor was 4-2 in his first 6 fights which is not a great start either and no one ever imagined he will reach the level of success he had with his career if you watched his first few fights and his financial background changed drastically.

@uray if that's what you got from the documentary then you need to rewatch it. Dagestan is underdeveloped as hell! Dunno if you saw that Series's all parts or not... But he is constructing a Professional Gym where more people can train... it must be quite hard for them to source/ship the materials where even the roads aren't developed yet... Where do you think he will put his money? The guy lives with his Mum&Dad and is Patriotic as Fuck! LOL!! If I remember correctly there was the question of whether he might end up in politics to which he responded along the lines that might be possible. The dude is super famous already and can definitely help their struggling economy...

Kabib can't be the face of UFC since the guy doesn't smile often, they can't put a face to the public that doesn't smile unlike Conor
I get your point but that "smile" is just funny to me  Cheesy

UFC has become a sport + entertainment now. If only Khabib was born sooner and joined in the early days, he would have been the face of the UFC. After Royce Gracie, the next generation of fighters and champions became cocky when they quickly rose to fame (with the exception of GSP & Aldo). The fans loved them though and UFC management capitalized on that. They promote fighters with "attitude" more compared to others.

It is the truth, even other fighters are not able to make the money Conor McGregor is making even with the belt
McGregor is not like any other fighter with attitude. His market value skyrocketed because he knows how to talk and he delivers. Some fighters like Diaz and Sonnen can talk but cannot get that belt. Just go back to Conor's earlier fights and see how many fighters he trash talked and KO'd. Long time champ Aldo only lasted 13 secs and the legend Eddie Alvarez didn't stand a chance.

^  Sure...  And just saying that McGregor is still a rock star even if he didn't have belt.  Other mofos would need a belt just to have a chance to rake in the same money as he does
It is the truth, even other fighters are not able to make the money Conor McGregor is making even with the belt and so is the reason everyone is calling out McGregor as a match up with him could change their life forever and even fighters that are not able to fight him wants to be in the same fight card so that they can earn the PPV share which will be really huge.
