Check this out guys! Head coach Javier Mendez said that Khabib is the only one allowed to train in their gym right now. What do you guys think about this?

Just happened to check Khabibs instagram. The gym is full of people (according to background). What Javier meant to say, that the gym is probably closed for casual visitors or fighters. Only professional athletes trains atm.

I would not be so sure that there nothing that could stop this event. It is still lots of time till the event. Plus fighter (speaking more about Khabib) might need to cut weight and could get ill during that. Khabib already faced illness while cutting weight when they were to meet previously.

The UFC has their own facilities to conduct fights without any audience and their performance center is capable enough to conduct fights with just the officials, Dana White will not reveal those details to avoid back lash from media until the last moment.

There is no doubt that the UFC is taking a huge risk by carrying on with the event and if there is a mishap and if someone tests positive after the event then the company will be under fire and will face sanctions and fine and with the stakes so high i am sure Dana White will take every steps to monitor and test all the individuals present in the arena to make sure anyone who is part of the event is Covid free.

. Wow! What a great news from Dana. With such statement, we can already confirm that their long awaited fight will happen finally. There's nothing, even the virus, could stop it. If by chance they conduct the fight behind closed doors it will probably become the biggest pay per view events in history as there are no sporting events right now and everyone will be tuning in to watch the fight and the loss in the live gate revenue will be compensated with the pay per view revenue.

Its crazy that they will push with the fight and do it behind closed doors. WWE's WrestleMania will be held behind closed doors and it is good for 2 days and I find it to their advantage to do it in that arrangement so they can do a second take in case of any mistakes. But in the case of UFC, they are going to do it like "The Ultimate Fighter", I forgot where the place is but it pretty small but its complete with an octagon cage.

If that is the case then there is no way that we will see the fight happening next month as the number of infected people are increasing on a daily basis and the death toll is increasing which is really alarming and in the US there are 9000 plus newly reported case in the past 24 hours which is not that great and until and unless the event carries without any audience then it might happen but it is highly unlikely and Khabib Tony will prolong further and this is by far the unluckiest fight in history.

They can drink water after fasting and they will not even swallow the saliva during fasting. The idea of fasting according to their faith is that they will not eat or drink anything during the day but at night they can drink and eat anything they want.

Btw, in Islam "Fighting is justified for legitimate self-defense". Does it means that he Khabib could start his attack only after his opponent shows an aggression or makes first attack ? Roll Eyes

I understand they undergo fasting but this is his profession and is there any loophole to skip one year to pursue his career, i have no idea about all these festive about fasting and i understand they do that early but if you are pursuing a profession which demands proper training and having food on time he should follow that and not some rituals. I am not saying this to hurt anyone's sentiments but i wanted to see that fight happen.

You are just joking, right? Don't tell me that what you are thinking of Khabib's sparring partner would be a bear? Nah, a hell no! I dont know who Khabib could train with, maybe Islam Makhachev, but he is on different level and Islam would learn more from that trainings Cheesy

I think Javier need to bring someone close to Ferguson fight style, but cant imagine who that would be and will he be able to pass all the COVID-19 checking before entering the gym.

I like this but we know that's not going to happen. We have no idea when this COVID-19 pandemic will end but when this is over, merging two or three UFC fight nights would not be that bad even for Dana. Maybe two main events can be scheduled one week after the other.

I started following Khabib after he signed with the UFC with an undefeated record and when he threw away Abel Trujillo like a kid i was shocked to see a performance like that and was following his fights after that fight and he was injury prone but now he is maintaining his health and that is a good sign if not he would have been the champion a long time back, the video with the bear was released after he joined UFC if i remember correctly.
