Noticed that the other day and thought it was blank myself. Op should update the first post with the next ones which would help. I often used to give this thread a quick look at to see when the next period started in gmt.

What happened to the .Doc file showing all TIL Dates Huh

I see it as blank Undecided

It wasn't blank, a new sheet was created and moved to the front so at first glance there were only 1's visible.

I just edited the sheet to bring the time stamp list back to the front.

Yup
Activity is updated every hour.

And every activity update happens only after 12 PM forum time, so actually your activity updates at 1PM every next tuesday(AFAIK)

Are you talking about activity update in general, or current activity updates?
The time keeps changing as mentioned in OP.
So from now onwards, the update happens after 1 PM forum time. From March onwards it happens after 2 PM forum time.

This ^^

I think I saw a time once when it didn't update till the next day, although I concur it may be my browser cache. Tongue

Oh no, we're losing out on so much activity Roll Eyes Nobody really cares or should care about activity, to be honest. UNIX timestamps are accurate in all time-zones and they're just an easy-to-implement digit, so it's easy to see why they're used.

Pretty much this.

As long as mine goes up by 14 every other Tuesday that's all I care about. I couldn't care less about the exact time in minutes & seconds etc.

My activity didn't update today...can anyone offer an explanation? What questions do I need to answer? Feel free to PM me too. Thanks!

Edit: Is it because it's still within an hour of me posting in this new period?
Most likely. The activity usually takes a few hours to update.

The activity updates every 1 hour (I suppose).

So... In which time zone is activity calculated? Is it in GMT, the forum's idea of my time zone, or my actual time zone? The forum's idea of my time is 13 hours off. Grin

One way or another, great job OP.

I think that it is around 1PM in your time zone when the activity is updated after 2 weeks period.

I have found one spreadsheet which clears my doubt. I have updated it according to my current account.
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/12saLhlUoqIdairxzuSPu6EYGrt7FN2lOstO1yDjCEbA/edit#gid=1324892580

I am humbly asking for help here, I understand that the activity rank will "updated" every certain date on the spreadsheet, but my activity count still supposed to increase on hourly period, right?
Mine is stuck at number 56 for days (if not weeks) ago.. Is it normal?
Im sorry if this question has been questioned before, I can't find it

Once your post count exceeds (by far, like yours) your activity level number, it will then move in 14 point intervals, as determined by the spreadsheet dates you mention, afaik.

So yes, it's perfectly normal. Upon the next activity level change date, expect it to go up 14 points. Wink

I use this spreadsheet to as it is posted somewhere in forum, but what time zone is this, different from the original?

was GMT +8.
anyone can edit the timezone (realized this only yesterday.) so I changed it back to forum time (UTC/GMT +0).
Alright just mention the timezone in the spreadsheet, because i was confused at first.

Did they change the way activity works again in the last ten months?

See Hilariousandco's comment a page back here:

Edit, afaik, the information and dates in the OP are still correct.

A bit confusing, but thank you Smiley
