i want to talk about this "nuclear option" he speaks of; Switching the POW algo and make every single miner useless.

I think it's very important to note that devs need the support from economic marjory to do anything. let alone change the POW algo...
If they tried to pull this off, all they would really achieve is forking THEMSELVES off OUR Bitcoin Network.

Core devs should

  • tell the truth

OR

  • deliver code

Huh?

I don't give a fuck, devs can lie every day. Confusing retards is a good thing.

lol they all agree that there doesn't need to be a block size increase but they all agree to increase to HF 2MB in a year...

The subtlety appears lost on you adam. You do understand that "2MB yesterday" and "2MB in one year" are different to each other, don't you?

I'm pointing out that the difference in opinion from both sides is only time frame.

No you weren't, you were trying to suggest that the Core devs were contradicting themselves ("they disagree with blocksize increases, but they also agree to an increase in 2 years")

Kind of ironic, that it's actually you that was representing the contradiction, don't you think?

in anycase  Trace Mayer is wrong about them disagreeing with a blocksize increase..  unless what i've been hearing about most core devs like ( or will at least entertain ) the idea of 2MB block limit in 2017, is lies.

Mod crying about toxic shills making highly polarized and very, very, angry - Board went full buttcoin

/r/btc seems to have lost it's way

˵ that this sub-reddit is now like an angry mob and echo chamber. There isn't much productive discussion happening here any more.˶

But, is that all we are going to talk about on this sub-reddit for time eternal? If some developer from core comes up with a good ideal, are we going to attack the ideal, just because of who came up with it?

I don't know, all I can say is that this sub-reddit is certainly not hosting a very productive discussion about news, technology, and events in the bitcoin ecosystem these days. It's a 24/7 hate-fest at all things blockstream and core.

I mean, hey, it's not like we have censorship. So, keep at it. Let your inner rage out. I'm just not finding any of it particularly fun or enlightening at this point.

r/btc is the melting pot of all conspiracy theories about core, blockstream and everything related to it.
Reading there is a waste of time.
r/bitcoin by the way is having big issues as well.

Don't read to much over there, just gives you headache. Cheesy

Trace Mayer tries to make bitcoin classic team look like a joke and Core like gods.
and suggest that there shouldn't be any debate because the gods are for sure more right than the jokers.

he misses the point... and why hes confused about why there is still much debate

this isn't about technical merit of each side.

one side wants favors second layer solutions, the other favors main chain scaling.

the technical details of each are almost completely irrlevent... and thats why it doesn't matter if 9/10 dev agree on one or the other.

Core devs are right for all the wrong reasons.

I`m annoyed more when somebody sends me bitcoins, and they put too low fees and i had to wait 3 hours to get it because they forgot to put adequate fees.

Child pays for parent could solve this. At the expense of making yet another transaction.

I've been trying to explain this during the attack that recently caused delays. However, you should talk in satoshis/byte when explaining the situation. In this case, those users are including a TX fee that is at least 3 times lower than it should be.

Indeed, but i dont think it's an issue when you send bitcoins, but when you receive bitcoins.

I`m annoyed more when somebody sends me bitcoins, and they put too low fees and i had to wait 3 hours to get it because they forgot to put adequate fees.

So we need to tell bitcoin services to peg their fees to the market, instead of always using 10,000 satoshi.

That's an artificial limit that is constraining growth, remove it now or suffer the consequences!

You didn't detect the sarcasm, did you?

The unconfirmed ones average between 1000 -4000 all day, and on top activity it sometimes goes up to 10,000.

However if you analyze it closely https://bitcoinfees.21.co/ , you can see that the majority of unconfirmed ones are mostly faucet payments with 2000-3000 satoshi fees.

Bitcoin is difficult enough for what it is, if it's turned into an experiment in anarchism as well it's destined to fail.

Bitcoin absolutely is an experiment in anarchism. That's the whole fucking point. You have no idea what anarchism even is. Check out Larken Rose on Youtube if you want some quick learning (and to become a voluntaryist instead of an involuntaryist/statist).

Are hellobitcoinworld & co. *really* so stupid, stubborn, and pushy, or are they secretly on our side and trying to make Classic look bad?

I also find it amusing that Gavin, of all people, recommended the "how to survive poisonous people" video. Could Gavin be dropping subtle hints on us? There are some other WTF things like that "but the average webpage is 2MB" argument.

Definitely Coinbase and Armstrong is not a term of Anarchism even of Ancap

So apart from the recent network attack, there wasnt any issue of sending transactions if you put an extra 1000 satoshi to it for priority.

But the shills are overwhelming it that we need immediate solutions, it seems to me like a very intense hegelian dialectic: problem-reaction-solution crap that they have planned.

The leftists are master manipulators so we need to be vigilant.
