Everyone has his favorite coins - it depens from many factors - how much you got profit form it and how much you lost.
Depending on the altcoins that you invest in and the current at a position which is only low in terms of captain the best coin, not the appreciate the value of your assets is a lite coin and iota which are both not that fluctuating and are good coins in the long-term
In 6 months, new tokens will start to make profits, which have just listed at market. Therefore, I advise you to take a closer look at new projects, these coins are not yet pump, but there are also those who really have good technology and a perspective on the top place at coinmarkercap. In my opinion, one such project is ACDC.
Ethereum is really very low right now so i would see this as a opportunity to buy some ethereum right now wihich is probably the best altcoin to invest in right now and is a long term investement not for short term...other i am not sure but eth is a definite choise.
The guy (the author of the thread) should forget about this strange idea. Now, the market is down, all the cryptos are cheap and fall most of the time. This is not the period of profits.
To be honest many opinions that you can consider in this regard. but all goes back to your decision. maybe they invest their assets in coins because they assume that the coin is profitable, learn and analyze it before you go further.

if i had to pick top two right now it would probably be cpx and neo
My opinion is that 2 cryptocurrency, which at the moment deserve the investment is Ethereum and Ripple. The second is now inexpensive and has good prospects.
BTC and BCH, these two coins will bring huge profits for you, but you have to wait patiently, the price of coins can not increase rapidly, it may take months or 1 year
Ethereum is really very low right now so i would see this as a opportunity to buy some ethereum right now wihich is probably the best altcoin to invest in right now and is a long term investement not for short term...other i am not sure but eth is a definite choise.
In my opinion you should buy stellar PETRODollar (XPD), TRADOVE B2BCOIN (BBC), because these two will look very promising in the very current very cheap price so you should buy them. I also bought these two Altcoins.

For me Ethereum and Bitcoin is the best coin to invest now even the price of this two coins now is very low I believe that someday the price of this two coins goes back again like year 2017
I have heard many postive news about UTRUST. UTRUST is like PayPal - the payment gateway. They are working hard on their product but price is falling down, so currently it is one of the most undervalued coins. Price dropped from 1,2 USD to 0,0345USD. 
They can fall much in the coming weeks so I dont recommend for doing investment now, but you can look to Neo it is very cheap prices, and maybe ethereum or wan can be second one for investment.
Probably now if that and to choose, it is binance coin and bitcoin. On the first coin, you can fix the profit when dex appears.
It is very difficult to recommend something but I think that at the moment you can buy anything with such low prices !
