I will somewhat agree with your observation, i will not name only 3 here as i think most of coins from top ten list will be removed from the top ten list and new ones with better products will enter top ten list, i think btc, eth will sustain their positions while ada, eos, icx, neo will also be competing for top spots then.

I am trying to guess what will be the top 3 coins in 2 more year, say on 1st June, 2020.
Probably, BTC may not be the champion anymore but will still stand at runner-up position thanks to its historical role. ETH providing reliable platform for many valuable tokens can overthrow BTC to become the king. One of the coins with 3rd-generation blockchain like ADA or EOS will deserve the 3rd.

I trust many coins. My favorite coin is litecoin. litecoin has many supporters I think. Other choices are srn and iota I think these coins will be in good places. not investment advice.
I think it stays in this way it is now, that means BTC, ETH and XRP. But maybe NEO will get higher, it's possible and ETH skipping Bitcoin too, it will depend very much on the medialization of crypto.

Indeed if we predict bitcoin aka this is the main coin, because later all the coins are finally converted to bitcoin including ethereum but for quantity of transaction of course I agree with you. Ethereum is the most dense current transcription because all alt coins are converted to Ethereum before converting to bitcoin.
