I personally focus more on investing, considering that my trading skills are not yet good. by investing, I just hold it until the bullrun comes. especially now that I work as an employee, so for trading I don't get much time. but that doesn't mean I don't trade, I learn to trade but that's for long term goals, considering it's not easy to do, in my opinion. but I'm sure trading can later be used as a preparation after I'm not working as an employee, bearing in mind that of course my productive period in my current field of work certainly has its period, moreover I work as a private sector

It usually comes down to personal choice. Investing is considered a safer option than trading. If you want some action in life then you should go for trading. If you have the patience and time for other things then go for investment.
Do a thorough research before making a decision.

Both trading and investing have their merits depending on a person's goal risk tolerance and timing. Investing is a gradual process of wealth growth. Wealth can never grow without investment. A trader involved in cryptocurrencies must think deeply and decide whether he wants to be a trader or a holder. An investor needs to understand where to invest his funds. You can increase or decrease your invested funds through daily trading. But to become a holder, you must be more patient and you can keep all the funds that you don't need in a very short time or even a long time. And we all know there are more people trading than holders.
Investment requires more patience rather than trading, yes it both has risk but trading is riskier indeed and we need to make sure that we are risking to a coin or token that will eventually give us profit in the long run. Investment such as in real estate requires time, though it is lot of patience but it is worthy to wait as well or if you invest in projects as angel investor it is good as well but if I will be choosing, I'll choose to be a trader.
It's true that investing requires patience which not everyone has,
Bitcoin is a safe and viable investment option for the long term without a doubt,
for real estate investment it really requires large capital and for investment it is very suitable.

Patience is a virtue; we all have times when we rise and fall, but one thing we must remember is that we must be able to get back up. Trading and investing are both beneficial for us; we have to combine them in order to keep the money stream running. I'm a trader, and based on my research, I believe that trading is more stable than investing. I can trade in minutes or hours, and I'll see the results, either gains or losses. When I invest, I have to wait a certain number of weeks, months, or even years before I can see my returns. One advantage of investing is that it can be used to start a new life by purchasing a home or starting a business.

because sometimes people have their own skills. but I'm sure those who are currently on the crypto market and own crypto assets must have traded or invested in crypto assets. those who focus more on one of these may have expertise or luck in one area.
those who are lucky in trading are not necessarily also with investment. because the approach and planning that must be built is also different. This is all tailored to the needs and character of that person.

Over to you investors, they will said trading is rigorous and difficult to navigates through, trading incurs too much losses that's why I prefer to fix my money as investment watch it grow with due time, and if the market falls I can decided to take my money but the good thing is that I don't have to stress myself.
Trading is not easy to do because we have to master the strategy in carrying it out. When we are not able to navigate trades properly then the result will make us lose at some point and that's why people prefer investing rather than trading. Trading strategies are also difficult for us to learn when we are not involved in them and trying to learn from various sources sometimes we cannot fully use them because market conditions can change so quickly when we are in active trading.

Now over to you reader, which aspect of bitcoin is best or worst experience? Where are you good at! Trading or investment? Bursts our brain with your expertise
I'm more used to long-term investing because I think it's easier for us to do and doesn't require a special strategy to make profits in the short term, because basically I tend to hold rather than be active in trading. Trading requires basic knowledge to read market movements and strategies for the assets we trade.

Thread seems old. but I am excited to explain my view. I think, Both option are good, depending on person and his management skill..for me, due to my busy schedule i always be  priority  to investment rather than trading, even trading always seems risky to me. If you invest top altcoins as well as some valueable worthy altcoins, then will make profit whinin few years as cryptocurrency sector is spreading daily and growing up so fast. As well as you don't need to be worries but trading will always give you a little worries, wrong management can make you face huge loss. Although it depends on what suits you most according to your condition

If I have to choose among trading or investment then I will go with investment. To me, profit only comes via investment as I have tried short term trading and failed miserably there. Short term trading is not for me atleast. The only down side of investment is no defined period of waiting. You have to wait for weeks, months or may be years to see profit. Its better to invest in bitcoin rather then alts as they are heavily dependent on bitcoin for price moment.

I would also choose to invest instead of trading, and like you, I have lost so much with trading. But sometimes, I still trade if I see a profitable opportunity for me.

Regarding investing in altcoins, I don't see anything wrong with investing in them, although they may be riskier than bitcoin, their return will also be greater than bitcoin. Investing in altcoins is not too bad, but we should only invest when we are ready to take risks and have enough knowledge and experience to choose potential projects. Do not invest in them blindly and rely on luck like gambling, everything requires specific knowledge and planning.

I think that trading is like the first stage of investing. It is quite difficult to invest without knowledge of the market, this aspect is also worth considering. But if you have knowledge of the market, you are already much more likely to succeed. At least that's what I would recommend doing.
Trading is like a business where a trader buy and sell a coin or token regularly and take profit and investment also should be in earning purpose. Investment is always long term but trade is both short term and long term.  An investment aims to make huge profits but in trading, small profits are also taken. So although the purpose of trading and investment is the same, there is a difference in mindset.
That also means that even if you’re good in investing, it won’t give the same positive result in trading. Investing is risky, but trading is more risky and complicated so you can’t expect to become successful and profitable from trading easily. That’s the reason why a lot of us here just settle for investing alone and leave trading for those professionals in it. Otherwise, trading will only waste your money and effort especially if you’re not really capable to succeed on your trades.

I follow that same sentiment, trading is more risky that investing though same with how you see the point, there are experts who are capable to work with both short and long trades and continue to profits, while there are also traders who waste both their time and money as they can't find the right pattern to attain winning trades.

Investing might be your good option if you don't want to complicate yourself. Just buy the asset you believe that will grow, then wait for the time when your set target sell position already being reached to enjoy your profits.

The choice between trading and investment depends on one's personal preferences, risk tolerance, time availability, and expertise. Some individuals may find trading exciting and enjoy the hands-on approach, while others may prefer the relatively passive nature of long-term investment. It's essential to thoroughly educate oneself about both approaches, understand the associated risks, and consider your own skills and circumstances before deciding which path to pursue.
before choosing between the two, it is better to understand the characteristics between trading and investing, so that we can determine which one to choose. for me choosing both would be better, especially for trading, if later I become a pro trader, then I can meet my daily needs from trading results, and the results from investments can be used as savings. it is not easy to trade, because it has complex problems. but I think enjoying the process will be better, and when it's time to retire, we can still make daily money from the trading business. most people who fail to trade because they give up, of course we can take lessons from all of that, because the learning process is not in a short time
This is true, we can definitely do both of them and that is what I have done so far in my life as well. I had some great investments back in the day based on pure luck, not because I was great at it or anything but because I was just lucky and nothing more. But then at the end of the day, it resulted with me getting something much better on the long run and this meant that I could be just focusing on anything that would be radically easy because my investments turned into trading as well, just a small part, and sometimes I made money off them and sometimes I lost money off them.

This is how I approach it today and I do make some good profit based on that as well. This is why I highly suggest start with investment and the more you earn, the easier it would be to use those profits for trading.

I prefer to do invest and sometimes trade, because sometimes investing is bored specially when we are waiting for our investment to become bullish it sometimes takes a year to get profit, while we are waiting for our profit from the investment we can trade and earn weekly or monthly, this is both risky but it is the only way to get profit from crypto.

Investing and holding can be boring, but it is safer than trading and suitable for more people, trading is not for the masses. Moreover, to make a profit from trading, you need to have a lot of knowledge and skills, and it can take a long time to practice before starting to make a profit. While if you just invest and hold for the long term, you don't need too much advanced knowledge, and you will have plenty of time to do other things. It can be said that depending on the preferences and circumstances of each person, we have the right choice.

For me, trading and investing in cryptocurrencies have their advantages and disadvantages, and the choice between the two really comes down to individual preference, risk tolerance and time commitment. For the choice between trading and investing in cryptocurrencies depends on individual goals, risk tolerance, and time commitment. If you are willing to take more risks and dedicate time to actively managing your portfolio, trading may be a better option for you. However, if you prefer a more passive, lower-risk approach and are willing to wait for long-term growth, investing may be the way to go.

Trading involves buying and selling financial instruments (such as stocks, bonds, commodities, or currencies) within shorter time frames, often taking advantage of price fluctuations. Traders can adapt quickly to changing market conditions and take advantage of short-term opportunities. However, in the case of investments, the investor keeps the assets for a long time in order to influence the market and profit from them when necessary. i.e., when some time has passed or when they need. Some individuals may prefer a combination of both trading and long-term investing, while others may find success focusing on one strategy. I think instead of investing, trading is more beneficial.

Trade is a way that helps you increase your capital continuously. Thus you can invest more than before. Thats why i try to choice both but i prefer investment Over trade but I'm still learning

You are right, trading helps increase your funds or capital, but that's only when you are good at trading. But you (@Nazmul012) forgot to also add that trading is also a means of losing your capital in some market conditions, but not just that; whether it's a professional trader or a newbie, losses must surely be encountered, but for just investing, you have all your tokens stored in your software or hardware wallet for more security purposes. Only when you sell cheap, that's when you loss.

There is this common principle I derived: "Most traders are holders, but not all holders are traders." It's not yet a proven fact, but there are quite a few Bitcoin traders who specifically have some Bitcoin they are storing in their wallet, which they don't use to carry out their trade. Some times, when they make a profit, they send some Bitcoin to that special Bitcoin wallet for future storage, but logically, not every Bitcoin holder is a trader because trading is so stressful to them that it will only result in them losing their Bitcoin, so they don't engage in trading.

Both are risky but they do have that different level of risks which is something that should really be realized on someone who do really tend to make out some engagement whether on investment or making up some trading. If you could be able to bare up with the risk then it would really be just that fine, it is really just that a matter of preference on which place you would be seeing yourself to be able to bare up with the risks.
We do have our own choices to make and actually we could do both things as we do like. We can trade and the profits made would be put up into investment which would be holding up for long term.
With this then you could really be possibly on having a double benefit if things turns out to be good. This is why it would really be just depending on you on how you would really be handling
out your investment or trading decisions.

One things for sure in regarding about the target is on having that benefits on getting profits in due time but of course dealing with these things cant really be that so simple.
