If Harris claimed to be pro-crypto, I would actually reconsider some of the other factors in deciding who to vote for, but so far, they don't seem to have any crypto-friendly intentions. If they have decided to create boundaries and be hostile towards us, why should we try to please them or submit to them when we have better options?

Personally, I also hope Trump enters the White House again because that will give us the opportunity to develop and escape the limitations compared to the current situation. Only people who don't want bitcoin to reach $100k and don't want the industry to grow will vote for Harris instead Trump, IMO.

The stock market went tits up yesterday across the globe and caused BTC to have a drop of over 12% in less than 12 hours. Think I seen some toting it as Black Monday on some media.

Of course during this political landscape we are currently in each of the presidential candidates took the opportunity to jab at one another after this collapse in everything yesterday.
So this has become a memewar of sorts since they are full out using the social networks to get their message across just as before but this time ten fold.

Yes. Trump is exaggerating a little bit to attract voters. But he's still a better option than Harris or RFK Jr. When Trump was president, the government treated crypto lightly. It wasn't as "hostile" to the industry as the current administration. We can say Democrats are more against crypto than all the other way around. This has become a political issue within the United States. Those who support crypto are from the right (Republicans), and those who reject it are from the left (Democrats).

I sure hope Trump wins back the White House. It will give a much needed boost to the crypto market. Perhaps, BTC will go all the way to $100k? Only time will tell. With Russia approving crypto use for international trades, it would be dumb for America to move away from the crypto revolution. Who knows what the future holds?

Republicans for Bitcoin 2024! Spread the word! It brings a whole lot of attention to Bitcoin as the race for the highest office in the world turns now to Bitcoin for more attention by speaking of what they will do and how they plan to embrace it in the future. I love the fact that Trump wants the remaining Bitcoin to be mined in the US! I suggests that he has good intentions for low energy costs and perhaps even tax breaks as well! What wouldn't bitcoin miners like about that!?

To be fair, I support Trump because I hope he will bring a new breeze, a better future to the cryptocurrency industry. But I think some of the promises are being exaggerated here. Using bitcoin as a national reserve asset is not easy, everything would have to go through 2 houses before being approved by Congress and I don't think this would be successful even if Trump proposed it. Regarding using BTC to support USD, that is even more impossible, a highly volatile asset cannot support a currency that is losing value on a daily basis.
We support Trump but need to be realistic about what can and cannot happen.


This is why I voted for Trump, I don't know if he will really keep his promise or not, but at least as long as he is not tough and does not oppress us like the current administration, then it is win for us.

It's too good to be true. At current market prices, such a reserve would cost the US a hefty investment of $264 billion. National debt is sitting at around $35 trillion, making this impossible. The country needs to fix spending issues first, before considering having its own BTC reserves. Once national debt is off the picture, then we can talk about backing the USD with BTC and whatnot.

At least, we know Trump won't be as hard against crypto as Biden. The current administration has been all about fierce regulations and crackdowns on the industry. Back then when Donald Trump was president, things were going along smoothly for crypto in America. SEC chairman Jay Clayton wasn't as "hostile" as Gary Gensler. Crypto voters will definitely support Trump in these elections. Hope he wins back the White House to make America the cornerstone of crypto innovation.

Trump's position cannot be fully trusted unless we first believe that his view of crypto has changed and that his presence at the Bitcoin conference is not just part of the campaign. I do not remember any progress on the crypto file when Trump was in power and there is no indication that his administration is interested in pushing for greater openness in the crypto file.
Kamala Harris's position of refusing to attend the conference seems to me a more credible position and consistent with the policies of her administration. She would have found herself in a debate against her competitors to discuss a file about which she does not have sufficient information. Media articles mention that her campaign management had contacted one of the important influencers in the crypto field to inquire from him after receiving an invitation to attend the conference in Nashville.
I do not want to sound too pessimistic, but I do not expect much from Trump if he wins a new presidential mandate.

Of course. She wouldn't respond to the invitation. Harris is part of the anti-crypto Biden administration. A vote for her would be a vote against the crypto industry. The only two presidential candidates in favor of Bitcoin are Trump and RFK Jr. Trump is seen as a more favorable candidate, especially with his strong grasp of the GOP (Republican Party). He's positioned himself as more crypto-friendly than RFK Jr.

With a VP pick who has investments in Bitcoin (J.D. Vance), crypto will be set for a bullish run during a second Trump term. I sure hope he wins and does as promised. Who knows what surprises we'll find after the elections?

Today is the final day so Donald Trump should be there doing a speech to bitcoiners in trying to win their vote for this upcoming election in November.

Highly doubt she would want to be seen there because it was the Democrat administration which vetoed a bill just recently against bitcoin's progress inwhich Trump stated he will help abolish when back in office.
If he was on point with the bitcoin movement then he will mention this bill that showed Biden thus Kamala is against what all of cryptocurreny and especially bitcoin stands for.

After Kamala Harris was invited to attend the conference of bitcoin in Nashville, it was officially confirmed that she did not respond to the invitation without providing reasons for this. Thus, Donald Trump remains the star of this conference, although all observers stress that it is an opportunity for Harris to clarify her position on Bitcoin and blockchain, after it was confirmed that her campaign had submitted questions to one of the major influencers in the crypto field. People are emotional, they like it when they see a politician who does lots of chest pounding and people's senses are more heightened when they see a youngster.

It's definitely a politically motivated shift but I don't think he will stick to it after getting elected. Did you read his promises? He promises self-custody, total control on Bitcoin for its users and also promises that the USA will save some part of its strategic reserves in Bitcoins. Is there really any government that will allow people financial independence and promote the coin that gives you that freedom if that promise is not temporary and there isn't a bait in it?

Elon Musk attending the BTC conference is going to be huge. It's going to give much needed publicity for the cryptocurrency. Especially when Mr. Musk is the richest man in the world. He already sided with Trump, so victory in the White House for the GOP is certain. With Gary Gensler out of the picture, crypto companies and exchanges can boost their business in America without obstacles. It's likely Bittrex and Binance will make a comeback.

With America rising in crypto/Blockchain tech adoption, one could imagine prices for popular coins like BTC and ETH going all the way to the moon. Elections are only 4 months away. The suspense is killing me, lol.
