The leagues should he delayed for at least two weeks to due this terrible tragedy. I think everyone should help out and this is were players and club influence must kick in so that all the people that were hurt get the care they need. Health first then football comes later.
It will probably be delayed. Hatay and Malatya decided to withdraw from the league. Right now it's so insignificant, it's people and their lives that matter. Sad
Seems like there won't be any type of withdrawal from the league, teams will keep on playing "eventually". Two things will happen for sure, which happened in other nations and I do not know why Turkey wouldn't be same, so my guess and previous disasters in other nations show; the teams that this happened will play in other cities, and other cities will not only provide free stadium for these teams, but they will provide free training grounds and hotels or houses to stay as well, since these are rich players, it won't be issue for players anyway but the workers will be in either hotels or cheap housing.

Secondly, it will not be postponed for a few weeks but until there is no more thing to do. Right now they are still digging, we are talking about over a month of work left, all those rubbles being cleaned up will take more than a month, maybe more. I wouldn't be shocked to learn if league is cancelled for the whole year, but if not, we should expect earliest April for restart, or late march at least.

Looks like all Turkish football leagues including Süper League were delayed for one week. Matches that were supposed to be played this weekend will be played right after.
Christian Atsu is finally safe and secure.
What do you guys think about performance of Turkish teams in next matches of calendar? I expect huge motivation and dedication loss. I wish leagues were at least delayed for 2 weeks. Many football players won't be motivated. People think about earthquake now.

Hatayspor president just denied this claim. They actually wanna play upcoming games on different city. Possibly in İstanbul. Gaziantep wanted same as well. Not decided yet.
But Yeni Malatyaspor is planning to withdraw from 1. Lig. Sad.

Meanwhile Turkish Football Federation announced that they are extending transfer period until 18 February. They got permission from FIFA. At least one good news. I wish they delayed this weekly matches once more tho. Players are all in messy condition mentally. Can't imagine how Hatayspor will perform in their upcoming match. So hard for them.

I think Hatayspor should not play the remaining matches in the super league.  In these difficult times, they will not be able to concentrate on the match because of this bad experience.  He explains that foreign players want to leave the team.  I understand them too, their families are scared and they want to go.  Atsu, one of the players, could not be pulled out from under the rubble and we can get bad news at any moment.  I hope he is pulled out of the rubble alive.

Unfortunately, after the painful earthquake in Turkey, there were many postponements, including soccer matches. I think that especially soccer matches will not be played for a short time like a week, but for a longer period of time. In addition, if it is necessary to comment on the performances of the players, it may be that the teams with especially Turkish players do not perform very well. The reason for this is that besides the fact that family members or people they know are still under the rubble, there are also many people who have passed away. In general, I think that all players will be weak in terms of morale and motivation and the performances of all clubs will change accordingly.

What about matches that were delayed tho? I guess yesterday there was gonna be Fenerbahçe match against Konyaspor. They surely delayed everything about Leagues like every single match. But its not determined when they are gonna be played. I hope things get better quickly so we can watch matches and at least become more relaxed. Last days are saddening.

I think that the interest of both Turkish people and football players in league matches ended in an instant due to the disaster we experienced. If league matches are suspended for a month, no one would question why no matches were played. Moreover, the situation is even more difficult for football clubs in the region. Hatayspor and Adanaspor were psychologically affected by this disaster. It may take a long time for them to become mentally ready. Hatayspor moved to the facilities of the TFF. Adanaspor coach Vincenzo Montella said they will move to another city.

I have seen some news and videos related to the earthquake on YouTube. It is very poignant and touching. Many people were injured. And last news I saw that 3700 bodies were recovered. I don't know when was the last time the world saw such a huge loss of life. Many buildings collapsed. Immobilized in road conditions. All the major countries of the world should have extended their support to Turkey and Syria. The Turkish government is still continuing rescue operations. And it will take a few more days to complete this rescue operation.
Loss of life could end up being over 30 thousand people, I am pretty sure that we haven't seen this level of loss of life before in many disasters, this is one for the history books for sure. It is definitely one of the saddest days in Turkey's history, and I think it will take time to recover.

Football is the last thing in anyone's mind right now and I agree with others that it won't come back for a while, would be a shock if it could come back in march, there could be a big break to give not only teams around those places a chance to recover and get back, which won't happen in just weeks, could take over a month, but every other person in all of Turkey to feel like they can watch a game again, because I am sure they won't feel like that anytime soon.

After tragic earthquake event happened in Türkiye one Hatayspor player was under rubble. They say he was saved lately but noone knows if he is wounded or not. Today there will be announcement about Leagues. I guess football federation may delay weekly matches once. Türkiye still tries to save as many people as possible. Its so sad for country honestly. So we may not have matches to bet on this weekend. Will be determined in couple of hours.

Leagues were suspended for a while.  Unfortunately, some players died.  Yeni Malatyaspor goalkeeper was one of them.  Atsu, who wore the Hatayspor jersey, was one of the injured survivors.  Not everyone is as lucky as Atsu.  I hope the effects of the earthquake will pass as soon as possible and people will regain their health.

I don't think there will be any sports events for at least 2 weeks or maybe more and honestly at this point who cares? One of the biggest natural disasters in Turkish history has taken place and in this situation no one cares about football.
All clubs mobilized to help each other. Fan groups participate in supporting events. All the fans are united now. These days, when we forget that football is only for sports and entertainment, such a bad event reminded us of the truth.
I support your assumption, mate. To be honest, here [in Indonesia] we really feel something sad about this biggest disaster. I can tell you and other Turks that almost everyone in my house pray the best and wishes for the country and people of Turkey especially those affected by the season. It was shocking disaster because there were many victims, and it is true that the Turkish Football Federation had to stop the competition for while while trying to find conducive situation and conditions.

Hopefully this disaster will pass quickly, and the people there must remain steadfast in facing all these trials. Stop football and all sports at the national level, that's a wise decision.

While there are some good news coming from Hatayspor, there are some bad news as well unfortunately. As expected as it could sound, there are some people who are connected to the team either passed away, or still haven't found which is not easy to say after nearly 48 hours has passed, miracles are possible but the chances are getting slim. It is truly a devastation and not something we could imagine, even though everyone expected an earthquake there, nobody imagined the consequences would be this severe. Good news part is that there are news coming about some players being saved, and that's a good news, at least we know some people are getting out healthy and uninjured, which is all we can pray for now.

there are still many people trapped in the ruins and the search is still ongoing, humanitarian teams from several countries have also helped, and there are even some football players (Atsu) who reportedly have not been found until now.  Of this incident, the entire sports world must be grieving and it's okay that all Super Lig activities have been temporarily postponed until things are under control.

Christain Atsu is very lucky to have survived such a disaster that have left many people dead and homeless. It would have been very tragic for a footballer to die in a club and country that he planned to end his football career in. As for the extent of his injuries, I hope they are injuries that are not extensive and will not have an effect on his career, that is, hopefully his injuries are not severe that he has to stop playing because that will be a big blow for him first, his club  Hatayspor and then his country Ghana since he has not retired from international duties.

I also hope Taner Savut, their sporting director be found.

There will be a long period of no games for sure after such a tragedy, doesn't mean that it will start next week, but for the time being they just decided to give a week break so they can focus on the situation itself, and then they can postpone it even further, I would be shocked if we have any games in the next 2-3 weeks, either last days of February, maybe even later.

This was one of the worst earthquakes of all time that we can calculate clearly, tens of thousands of people probably dead, thousands of houses collapsed, hundreds of thousands of people displaced, it's not a normal situation, it's like a Hollywood doomsday movie type of situation, like end of the world there. I pray for everyone to be better soon, and hopefully all the people who could be saved can be saved.

There is good news about Christian Atsu. Hatayspor Manager Mustafa Özat said that Christian Atsu was removed from the earthquake debris with injuries. Search and rescue teams continue to work devotedly. I hope they catch up with all the earthquake victims. They have a big and difficult job ahead of them in this difficult process. God help them too.

He was rescued, thank goodness. As reported by several news sources, Christian Atsu has been rescued and is receiving treatment in hospital, but he had been trapped underground for 17 hours before he was rescued. In tragic circumstances, this is great news. Turkey and Syria continue to be in our thoughts, as well as everyone affected by the earthquakes.

Besiktas has been inconsistent in their matches, a team that is believed to have won in a particular match but at the end of the day you see them being defeated or playing draw that's not a good team to me, Besiktas has drag their name backward despite that history always count no matter what, this team conceives goal in almost every match that's is to say that their defense will have to be an area of concentration for them in other to keep a clean sheet to an extent.
