You should have felt the same way about Chelsea that you did about Real Madrid. Chelsea, like Real Madrid, are struggling in their respective domestic leagues, though Real Madrid's success rate is higher than Chelsea's. You should have put them in the same shoes and given them the same perspective on the Champions League based on their individual performances in their domestic league. If they aren't doing well in their respective leagues, there should be a strong competition between them in the Champions League, rather than concluding one team being superior over the other.

No, it won't be an easy game against Chelsea. I believe that some Real Madrid fanboys are now spoiled because of the games between Real Madrid and Liverpool (and maybe even the second leg against Barcelona in Copa del Rey). Real Madrid is definitely among the top favorites, but I would at least say that Manchester City is there, too, and probably Napoli. I don't think that Bayern will beat Manchester City. On a normal day Manchester City would win against Bayern, but there are other factors like luck when a player hits the ball from 25 meters and hits the angle. Or when the ball gets deflected in a lucky way. But all things equal, I would say Manchester City makes it.

I still think that on paper Chelsea is an amazing team and I wouldn't rule out the possibility that right in time in the Champions League they are going to show what they are able to. That is the stage they want to be on and where there is something to be won.

But at least Benfica hasn't suffered a series of defeats in its own league, whereas it's different from Inter Milan, who have bad luck, they have to lose 3 games in a row, that means Inter Milan is not in good shape, I don't think Benfica will be under the domination of Inter Milan, and this is at least nya Benfica can control better in the first leg.

Benfica recent matches wasn't good too, they lost against FC Porto even though the match played in Benfica's home. I'm more expect Benfica vs Inter will end in draw because of them aren't that good. While Manchester City vs Bayern Munich, Manchester City seems to be have higher chance to win especially the match will play in Manchester City's home. Inter milan has a big name , big mentality for a big occasion like champions league despite the current unstable ... inconsistent form while benfica had a superb season in domestic and champions league campaign so far , statistically it should be benfica all the way to qualify fir the next round.

I have same curiosity as you. I don't even know what's the problem is that owned by todd boehly. This dude was always doing something wrong by signing the bad coach for chelsea. Chelsea will be going to the relegation zone in the domestic league while chelsea will be also kicked out by madrid from UCL. I don't even know what has been thought by todd boehly, but it seems like this owner is not even trying to push chelsea to get enormous achievements.

I'm more interested in the match between Benfica and Inter. Inter have been playing very badly in recent matches, so I think Benfica are lucky to be playing against Inter.
