People are putting too much emphasis on Real, but between being terrible in La Liga and losing to Barcelona by a lot of points (even lost just recently) and not being as good as last year in UCL as well, I have to say that I do not see them going too much forward. Maybe they will win this game and go to Semi-finals, but that's about it and I am not really seeing them go any further at all.

It is going to take a while before they could make a big difference, they need to buy younger players to make sure they are ready for the future, they have some, they need more. This current roster feels like it's lacking comparing to some other teams with much younger star players that can make a difference.

You write nonsense. Real Madrid weren't terrible in La Liga (don't underestimate merits of Barcelona, which have been phenomenal in La Liga). Real Madrid has already begun to update (Tchuameni - Casemiro and Mbappe was supposed to come but he turned out to be a fool). As for predictions, they are meaningless now, the fact is that even Benfica has a chance - there are only a few games left and everyone can win.
And all this reasoning "this team should win, and this team should not" is complete nonsense. If in doubt, count how many times City have already won the Champions League  (they should have already many times, haha).

On the first day of this round, the most interesting game for me is going to be Manchester City - Bayern Munich of course.

This is like an early finale in the Champions League also in my opinion. Because both of these teams are among the biggest title contenders at the moment. Manchester City have already been very strong especially thanks to the Haaland addition to the team. He has made a huge difference in his first season already. Bayern Munich will need to watch out for this goal machine even though they are familiar with playing against him already. Tuchel's arrival can be really better for Bayern Munich. I think we will see an a little more durable team in this matchup.

But I'm still hoping to see Manchester City winning in Etihad and eliminating their competitor by the rematch also.

It seems to me that the most probable outcome of this game is a draw, both teams are very strong, both are prepared, Bayern is especially strong, this German machine has always performed well in its championship, and in the Champions League, and against English teams. So we should expect only beautiful soccer, because it will be very difficult to predict

It's not going to be that easy for Manchester City to win this game even with them playing at home in the etihad stadium, like you said its going to play out like an early finale in the Champions League, Manchester City are looking more stronger in terms of team performance but Bayern Munich are well experienced when it comes to qualifying for this round although their head to head match up between the two teams shows that Manchester City have experienced a fair share of wins against Bayern Munich in their meeting together but I can boldly say it's going to be a hell of a match between this two teams.

Chelsea use to be a big strong team but it seems as if there days of reigns are becoming over gradually. There performances lately are becoming so poor.
There is a big problem with Chelsea team recently, and the solution is within them. From the manager to coach and then players too because  the manager's error will drastically affect the players.
Chelsea has big problems internally. The peak of the problem after the sale of the Chelsea club by Roman Abramovich, a man from Russia to Todd Boehly. After Chelsea was successfully sold to Todd Boehly, a man from the United States, then the existing problems didn't just end. Of course the Chelsea club must be separated from internal political interests, so that the strengthening of players can be optimized again.

Real Madrid lose to Villarreal is doesn't matter we know now that they lose to Villarreal their focus is on champions league now Chelsea has great players in all lines, and they are capable of winning if they are in good condition. But Frank Lampard will make an exceptional manager this time around compared to to the previous. he has kept the character he had as a player in his personality as a coach Chelsea's performance has been poor, but their squad is strong. And the players in the squad are very talented. Chelsea has the ability to beat teams like Madrid.I'm sure Chelsea will be able to give their best performance and at least be able to draw.
We can assume that Real Madrid focuses on UCL matches now because in the match against Villareal, Ancelotti tried to keep Kroos, Modric, and Valverde on the bench. Ancelotti must be aware that the chance to win La Liga title is very small, so he doesn't want to force Real Madrid players to play all out for La Liga matches.

Well, Chelsea may have some strong players but they still can't play solidly. So, even if they have a new coach (Lampard), I believe Real Madrid will win the match and qualify for the next round. I don't deny that Chelsea has a good squad and they are possible to beat Real Madrid. However, if we consider the experience of Real Madrid squad and the capability of the coach, Real Madrid should have a bigger chance to win the match.

Chelsea's midfield attack need a total focus on.
Wolves is a team that Chelsea will win without much work but it looks hard and almost impossible for Chealsea. Chelsea really need to work on there team seriously.
I quest the days of glory are gone. It's obvious that the entire club is in a completely Ludicrous state since the change Of ownership. Abramovic era was a huge success to chelsea,  I don't think he did that only with the power of money. There were extra features that helped him do that, and those features I'm not seeing in Todd Boellhy.  Chelsea we used to know doesn't require much to offer good performance, Abramovic doesn't need to spend too much but will get results. His ability to dictate problems moves the affairs of the club uniquely. Boellhy lacks the initiative to decode problems and how to approach the problems becomes difficult and that's what's keeping Chelsea in this position.

This will be tough, both teams have enough motivation to win. Both teams are at a tough position also in their respective leagues, so the excuse of one team having the Champions League as it's main focus is not true. Manchester City coach put in Halaand in their last game after he missed a few games expecting him to get back to scoring so he can be in the right state of mind for the Champions League game and he did as expected. Halaand and Manchester City will be a tough job for Bayern, but they are equally up to the task.

Of course, Manchester City are on fire so far where they have managed to avoid 12 defeats since being beaten by Tottenham in the Premier League. Manchester City vs Bayern Munich is the most awaited match compared to Benfica vs Inter, it is spectacular match that cannot be missed.

The first leg is played at the Etihad, which is good for Manchester City. But after all, Bayern Munich is such a strong team this season in the Champions League, so no one will underestimate them even if they play away from home. For me Manchester City are the favourites, they are ahead of the probabilities and therefore a home win can be expected.

Real Madrid will undoubtedly be favorites against Chelsea. Not only is Real Madrid in good form, but their squad is also very experienced. At the same time, coach Ancelotti is very experienced. Ancelotti knows very well how to perform in a competitive league like the Champions League. He can spot the opponent's weaknesses, and tailor his match strategy accordingly. Since Madrid's chances of winning the La Liga title are almost non-existent, their only target now should be the Champions League title.

After losing hope of the La Liga title race to Barcelona, Real Madrid's focus will definitely be on the Champions League. We know they're very good in the Champions League and have a lot of experience in it. They have a fantastic coach and a fantastic team to help them win the game. Chelsea, their opponent, are currently in poor form. They recently changed coach, and we all thought he would improve the team, but after his first match with the team, he failed to secure a win.

Quote
Chelsea's performances have been erratic but this team is strong. And so Madrid must play carefully. Try to dominate from the beginning of the match. Chelsea's players will not get a chance to score in this match if Madrid starts to dominate. Even so, Chelsea's attacking performance is very poor.

This is the Champions League, and it may be different from the domestic league in which they are competing. They, like Real Madrid, have a good track record in this league too. With their Champions League record, we can't be so sure Real Madrid will easily defeat them. They were performing poorly in the league prior to advancing to this stage, but they still defeated a team that was performing well in their domestic league to do so. We can't afford to underestimate any of the team at this point.

Real Madrid lose to Villarreal is doesn't matter we know now that they lose to Villarreal their focus is on champions league now Chelsea has great players in all lines, and they are capable of winning if they are in good condition. talking about real madrid, they are an unpredictable team, their epic comeback will give everyone a big surprise, just look at how they humiliated Barcelona in the last El Clasico match with a score of 4-0, after being humiliated several times by Barcelona

apart from madrid, bayern is also a very tough team, especially now that they are being handled by tuchel, so the chance for Bayern to win the champions league is also very big
Madrid is indeed difficult to predict against a great club and has beaten it like Barcelona, but I think against Chelsea later it will not be difficult for Madrid to get rid of him because Chelsea's performance has been very bad since Potter left who was also replaced temporarily by Lampard did not make the slightest change even because yesterday they lost against Newcastle, so since seeing the way they played yesterday it was really not convincing to qualify for the UCL to the next round.

Maybe I should explain what little I know. We can predict Barcelona's defeat against Madrid in the Copa Del Rey even though the results are uncertain. I must say, if we refer to the players who played from both teams during that match. clearly Madrid is more profitable in that game than Barcelona. because, the absence of several important players had an effect on the team's overall performance. here, Xavi wants to reduce player mistakes, so he puts Alonso, and Segio, the fatal thing, they are not able to build up the strength of Madrid's midfield and the speed of Madrid's wingers.
well, if De Jong comes in, usually De Jong will be the back-up for Busquets if he loses the ball. he is needed because of his agility, plus doing strict marking on other players. or maybe, if Xavi had put Gavi in the middle, it might have turned out differently.

Let's compare the Madrid vs Villarreal match, the case is almost the same as Barcelona. when Don Carlo rested some of his core players, especially 2 defenders and 3 midfielders. Real Madrid lost to Villarreal at the Santiago Bernabeu. So, it's not a matter of consistency or not. but how the efficiency of the second tier players work. plus, the system that the coach applies. the question is, why did Don Carlo do that. there is no choice, because in the next 4 days Madrid will host Chelsea. that is, Ancelotti did not underestimate his opponent.

Talking about the Madrid vs Chelsea match, on paper Madrid will win this match easily. moreover, if Real Madrid plays its main players. well, the problem is with Chelsea, how does Lampard apply his system, play defensively or offensively. ideally offensive and stealing opportunities if have a counter attack. well, because this match still has a time lag, at least we just have to wait to get the latest information, especially regarding the formation and starting line-up of the two teams.

Chelsea will definitely try to perform at their best. And to repeat the events of 2020-21. In the 2020–21 season, they did not perform well in the Premier League but won the Champions League title. But this season the scenario is slightly different. Chelsea's overall condition is very poor. Their weaknesses in both attack and defense are quite visible. They also lost against Wolves in their last Premier League match. Is it possible to beat Madrid with such a poor performance?
I think this will be the very first time I'll be writing with some fear in me concerning this champions league game against Real Madrid. Frankly I thought the new manager factor will play in favour of Chelsea and we end up winning that game against wolves even though we have found it very difficult defeating them even when we're in our best form. The game was just a disappointment as that game has killed many fans hope they had for the champion league game. If we had win that game convincingly, I won't be here writing with such calmness in me. Real Madrid are a good side but not one Chelsea should be scared of.
Villarreal defeated Real Madrid in yesterday game so it isn't like they're undefeatable but one advantage Real Madrid has is that they can score goals meanwhile Chelsea looks like they don't know where to find the goal post to put the ball at the back of the net. Nobody in the squad can score and our only striker, Aubameyang isn't even eligible for the champion league squad because he wasn't registered and yet goalless players were registered. Well I just hope the game falls in Chelsea's favor because if we were to lose, then it'll be impossible to perform a comeback.

I don’t think people should worry too much about Real Madrid, getting beaten by Villarreal. Because after all that match was played right after the El Clásico. Of course, we know Real Madrid put 100% effort into the match against Barcelona. So it is understandable if they were not able to win the match right after that.

I still don’t think Real Madrid will face too many problems when they will play in the champions league match. After all, it is Chelsea against Real Madrid. And we all know how Chelsea has been performing recently. I don’t think the new manager of Chelsea is going to be able to change the outcome that we are all expecting.

Chelsea has a strong team with a clueless manager. They swapped one average coach for another. I have always been clamoring for Chelsea to sack Potter, when they finally did, they hired Lampard as an interim coach, who does that? Lampard was awful for Chelsea in his second season although he was better than Potter.  With Lampard as Chelsea's coach, they will get ripped apart by Real Madrid. I'm not saying this because of how Chelsea is but also because of how much experience Ancelotti and Madrid have in this competition, especially at this stage. It will take a miracle for Chelsea to knock out Madrid.
You are correct. If Chelsea add a good coach to the team this time, hopefully the team will become even stronger. Currently, the team has some serious problems, which can be attributed to the weakness of the coach.

Chelsea has had three competent coaches in the last several months; do you think the problem is with the coaches or with the players? I was shocked Lampard didn't bring in Kante yesterday; what was he thinking? Chelsea has brought in new players since Potter was appointed manager of the club, and I think it is the players who need more time to practice exclusively and get their selves together because right now, I can't say whether it is the coach or the players who are at fault, and now that Real Madrid has lost to Villareal, I hope they don't bring the aggression to Chelsea when they meet.

Chelsea has fired numerous coaches, yet their performances on the field continue to deteriorate. The club plans to play in the champions league next season, but I don't believe they will be able to due to their issues. No matter how hard they try this year, they will not be able to play in the champions league next season.
The champions league match between Chelsea and Real Madrid will take place in few days, but I don't believe Chelsea can defeat Real Madrid in any manner, not even through performance.

Chelsea lack a game strategy and this will make it difficult for them to win Real Madrid. Lampard back to Chelsea was like hope to the club but things turned out the other way round, the club is still in their usual mess. Real Madrid lost to Villarreal doesn't mean that they will lose to Chelsea who are in a critical state. I believe that Ancelotti lost the match because he is more focused on UCL match since he has already lost out in Laliga race. I don't know of a good striker that can score Real Madrid in  Chelsea which will make it difficult for them to score. Real Madrid have good front line and it is very possible that they will always break into Chelsea's defense.

Real Madrid are a good side but not one Chelsea should be scared of.

Maybe Real Madrid aren't in the same situation that made them win the previous Champions League, but this team always rise from the ashes and win it when no one expects them to win. Who knows? Chelsea has great players in all lines, and they are capable of winning if they are in good condition. In addition, Lampard might be motivated to look like a great coach, but I'm not sure about his effect on the players. On the other hand, Ancelotti is the coach of the Champions League in this age, and shouldn't be compared with other coaches when it comes to this competition.

Villarreal defeated Real Madrid in yesterday game so it isn't like they're undefeatable

Real Madrid played with many backup players in this match. I doubt they were looking for a win after they kicked Barcelona out of the Copa del Rey, so I think this result won't affect their mentality, which should be different in the Champions League. Moreover, I think Real Madrid rarely gets kicked out when they reach this stage of the competition.

After today's loss I don't think Real Madrid is heavy favorite against Chelsea, they are one step ahead but nothing more. Ancelotti thought about doing some rotation and that cost them a loss at home. Their minds are in Chelsea game I get it but this defense is alarming. If they give away too many positions to opponents they eventually concede some goals.
Chelsea changed their manager one more time and this is Lampard's chance to prove himself. Their target game wasn't today's Wolves game, it's Real game. I don't care about this loss, they weren't in a position like Real had. A good result in Santiago Bernabeu may raise their hopes so I think they'll give a lot of importance to the first match especially.
Of course Anceloti prepared for it better. Anceloti is aware the League's chances have been tough, they have clear chances in the UCL and Copa Del Rey. Anceloti will maximise that opportunity to add trophies. In the break Chelsea appointed Lampard, but in the first game Chelsea also lost. So there have been no significant changes regarding Chelsea. In the game against Wolves in the EPL, Chelsea were not creative. They struggled to make shots on goal despite controlling the match

Basically I agree that Chelsea really needs a competent manager to make the team better. Lampard is manager whose experience has not proven to be good, has not been able to prove many things and that makes him have to learn a lot about coaching. Maybe there will be a time when Lampard is as successful as a coach as Arteta was at Arsenal, but I don't think that will be the case for him this season.

Real Madrid excel in many ways, apart from competitive experience, they excel in terms of the quality of the players and the experience of the coach. Lampard vs Ancelotti, it's not comparable but it's always possible to win a game because it all depends on the chances on the pitch. The Champions League is unpredictable, but Real Madrid is a team that is generally more stable compare Chelsea.

I'm not quite sure what to expect from the Manchester City vs Bayern Munich match. Manchester City clearly seems to be in a better fast than Bayern Munich. And the Haaland weapon, that is a large weapon that Bayern Munich does not have at its disposal. I suspect he will make the difference in both games. Of course, they were able to get used to Haaland at Bayern Munich for a few seasons, so the defenders of Bayern Munich have some experience with the attacker who was on a roll at Borussia Dortmund at the time. But at City he has managed to lift himself to an even higher platform than he already had at DOrtmund.
