After Manchester City beat Leipzig at the Etihad Stadium with a disastrous 7-0 score, now Erling Halaand is the current top scorer in the 22/23 UCL season with a total of 10 goals. An additional 5 goals in the second leg match against Leipzig last night made his name shine so brightly in the highest European competition caste. His closest competitor for the golden boot award this season is Mohammed Salah with 8 goals, but I think Mohammed Salah could have stopped short in the second leg against Real Madrid. It looks like this season will be Erling Halaand's, he is a veritable monster for a new era in football.

It looks like Erling Haaland has broken a new Champions League record, scoring five goals in a game in the last 16. What's more, Erling Haaland is currently 22 years old, and of course as a young player this is an extraordinary achievement. Even players like Messi and Ronaldo, it's rare enough to score a hat-trick in the Champions League but as for Erling Haaland, scoring goals like that looks like something easy.

Because basically Leipzig is also not a weak team when it comes to the five goals scored by Erling Haaland, but when it comes to the final score of 7-0 then basically Manchester City has the ability to do it. But what is also a question at the moment is whether at this moment winning with a score of 7-0 is becoming a trend or not? Shocked

Liverpool will face Real Madrid in the second league of the Super Sixteen in the Champions League on the 16th. Real Madrid defeated Liverpool (5-2) at their home ground (Anfield) in the first league. Liverpool are three goals behind Real Madrid so far. In other words, Liverpool will not only have to win this match but must defeat Real Madrid by 4 goals to ensure the stage of the Super Eight. But this is never possible as the Second League match will be played at Real Madrid's home ground (Santiago Bernabéu). Where Real Madrid is unstoppable. It is very difficult to beat them there.  So I am pretty sure today that Real Madrid will qualify for the round of eight of the Champions League.
Three goals were a lot. Ancellott was taking the result against chelsea as evaluation for its club before it will be facing liverpool but the different thing is chelsea was almost making its comeback once it was playing at stamford bridge unlike liverpool which has been even getting bad result in anfield. I think that you  know what i meant from what i have written above. I see no chance for liverpool to win against real madrdi. It's pretty much the same like PSG and porto which have been defeated when playing away.

The odds for real madrid looks good enough consider madrid has been leaving the match with three goals as the result from the first leg.

Has his magic disappeared or will Pep finally manage to win the Champions League with Manchester this season? It's hard to say after one game. The time will show.
Man City's victory, it was very remarkable. I feel sorry for Leipzig, they are like amateur players. I didn't think they were capable of making seven goals.
I think they're favorites, but let's see.

Social media especially tiktok made a video of Real Madrid's 0-4 defeat.  I thought it had already happened, but it turned out to be just a match that had already happened. For later I think Real Madrid are still the favourites to win. They have a three-goal away advantage. Madrid's last three games have never lost I hope that win will continue later.

The Manchester City win was unusual because I never thought on my own that a match would have such a result. The club players in RB Leipzig are not professional compared to Manchester City. My bet for Manchester City earned me a few dollars. Haaland scored a total of five goals alone and attacked the opposing team's goal post for success for Manchester City. And the ball was over 60% for Manchester City and 20% for RB Leipzig. Leipzig couldn't attack had one to two attacks but had shots saved.

About Napoli striker Victor Osimhen indeed in Serie A he was very sharp and as top scorer but in champion league i don't know why his performance isn't too impressive that since group stage Osimhen only able to scoring 2 goals
It is a good thing that other players can also score goals for Napoli, if they have only been depending on Victor Osimhen to score goals for them, they would have struggled all season both in the league and in the Champions League. The Napoli players are all having their best moments as a team, and if Victor Osimhen doesn't score, they somehow still find ways to win games. Victor may not be scoring now, but his presence gives his team confidence that they can score. He has the ability to score important goals for them.

Osimhen is a natural born talent and a player who struggle to give his last for the team and this is the fundamental reason he always scored for Napoli at all cost, the reason why you see him score most of the time is not because the entire team depends on him for goals, he is just good at scoring goals at every opportunity he had but other players don't reflect their effort to score goals when they have the chance, this is the difference between Osimhen and the rest of the Napoli players. Anyways, it is a good thing to see other players score to avoid monopoly and hatred from others and the rest of the fans, especially racism.

Big kudos to Inter Milan for perfecting their defense line tonight though I must say that they rode on the back of luck tonight. Porto did hit the woodwork twice when I joined to watch the last minutes of the match of which if they had scored those goals, the out come of the match would've been very different.

Porto will be very disappointed for not just winning the match but also for not being able to score a goal in their own home turf. Though they won but I think Inter Milan must improve their performance if they want to go far in the Champions League this season.

Not a good run for Porto currently because they are also in 2nd position in Portugal league with 8 points difference from Benfica. Luckily they still have a good chance to win a title from Portugal Cup.

How are you betting on tonight's games? I was planning to go for both team scoring on Real Madrid vs Liverpool but I don't like the odds @1.45. The first leg kinda screwed the lines for the second leg that even an over 2.5 total is just @1.54 May as well put money on Real on money line. Hopefully home crowd can help them to settle early in the game and defend well.

I like both the odds @1.45 for both team to score and @1.54 for over 2.5, and I'm sure both events can happen. You can just combine the bets as a parlay with the odds approximately @2.23, which imo, it's a safer bet than choosing the side of Real Madrid to win. Though good luck on any bet you would take.

For this match, I personally think it's gonna be a draw result with over 2.5 goals.

so true. Osimhen's presence seems to have had a positive impact on other players in the Napoli team. besides Osimhen at Napoli there are also other players who are also very productive this season and he even got first place in making assists in Serie A. Meanwhile in scoring goals he is ranked 5th in Serie A at the moment. That player is Khvicha Kvaratskhelia. he is a young player aged 22 who also seems to have a pretty bright future like Osimhen.

Napoli have top performance right now and having good capital after winning 2-0 on first leg against Eintracht Frankfurt, I don't think have problem for Napoli can maintain 2-0 advantage on second leg. Seems difficult for Bundesliga team Eintracht Frankfurt have winning three goals above if want qualifying to next round.

Other match, Liverpool face difficult games after losing 2-5 first leg need to win above four goals if want to lead next round and allow the other Primer League team achievement after Chelsea and Manchester City success to quarter final. Real Madrid become the only Spanish team in 16th round and potential lead to quarter final after having 3 capital goals on first leg.

I'm not sure what will result in Porto's game against Inter any minute. Porto will work hard in front of thousands of fans at home to snatch victory over Inter even though the away team have a 0-1 advantage on aggregate.

In the end Inter managed to qualify for the next round with a final result of 0 - 0 in this second leg. As I said, it is difficult for Inter Milan to win the game. Luckily for Inter because Porto were also unable to score even 1 goal. Still waiting for the results that will be achieved by Napoli, if they also qualify for the next round, its mean making Serie-A, a league that no longer has a super star like Ronaldo, is able to send 3 representative clubs to the last 8.

City were very convincing last night, but it was Leipzig that helped them too, they played terrible defensively, look how many goals were scored from the penalty area, where City players just took a few shots.

Haaland, at the age of 22, repeated Messi's record in 60 minutes, this is very impressive. Guardiola was asked why he replaced Haaland, because he could break the record, but Guardiola replied that he would be bored if he broke this record at 22 years old. Probably Guardiola was joking like that, because then he would say that he wanted to give other players the opportunity to play in the Champions League, when the result of the match already allows it.

Glad to see my choice was coming true. Porto was not able even make a single goal against intermilan. Intermilan has been qualified for the last 8 as we all manchester city by winning with very big scores against leipzig. It must be a very easy prediction. It's better for porto to keep trining to execute the golden chance that came to the club. I meant to look at how it was so hard for porto against intermilan. Glad to see that haaland was making 5 scores alone against leipzig. it seems like that the performance in the bundesliga was also affecting the performance from the club in UCL.

I guess that if halaand can add more goals if pep was not deciding to replace him with another player. What a super game from haaland.
I already suspected that the scores for Intermilan and Porto would be a draw because they were equally strong, at least seeing 2 representatives of Italy namely Intermilan and Milan qualify for the quarter-finals and in the other match Manchester City won with a big score, I think everyone thinks the same as me Manchester City will win the match because they are playing at home and in front of their supporters, of course they want to give their best, but who would have thought that the score would go crazy up to 7 - 0 and that is really a high score.

Although Inter Milan managed to qualify for the quarter-finals, the team's performance could not be said to be too strong. They were venomous in both matches against Porto. After winning the first leg, Inter Milan aimed to draw the match in the second leg. Porto's players attacked a lot throughout the match. On the other hand, Inter Milan played defensively. We don't see many attacks from Inter Milan players.

Porto of course was a bit unlucky in the end, when in the 95th minute when Marko Grujic hit the crossbar and there was no offside, so that could save, but Inter still managed to leave the gate intact.
In general, since '11 Inter did not get past 1 / 4, but then the composition of Inter was stronger, Eto'o also played in the attack.

Given the fact that Milan also got through to the quarterfinals, it happened for the first time since 2006 when two teams from Serie A reached the quarterfinals at the same time.
Today, according to the idea, Napoli should go to them, so there will be generally 3 teams from the Serie A.

I agree with you that tonight's Real Madrid against Liverpool match is hard to predict, but I think Liverpool's fate was decided in the first game. They certainly won't be able to repeat the feat of Manchester City's yesterdays game  and won't beat Real Madrid by a big score. I even think Real Madrid can win again.

Well the rule that away goals count twice is gone so a 3-0 for Liverpool or any other victory with 3 goals difference would be enough for Liverpool to get into the overtime. Of course this is very very hard to achieve against a team like Real Madrid, that has so much experience, especially in this competition, but i still think that it is not impossible. If Liverpool is able to score their first goal pretty early or at least in the first half, then i think everything is possible, because even a team like Real Madrid will become very nervous, if Liverpool would be up with 2-0 in the 70th minute or so. Of course it is way more likely, that Real will play defensively and wait for counter attacks to score and even win the second game too.

the second leg of the round of 16, namely Napoli Vs Frankfurt today, seems to be a little easy to predict. because Napoli in the first leg had won 2 goals at Frankfurt. whereas today the second leg will take place at the Diego Armando Maradona stadium. Napoli will certainly be superior in this match as the host. even Napoli have excelled when away matches. so this time in the home match it will certainly be easier for Napoli. maybe it will run the same as the Man City match which managed to beat RB Leipzig easily.
It's very hard to beat Napoli at their home ground even i have to say Frankfurt will be defeated again today and Napoli is on fire currently that their performance in Serie A and champion league were very outstanding even since last season Napoli still had 11 matches unbeatable at home for this competition and scoring 3 goals against Napoli it just like mission impossible for Frankfurt

About Napoli striker Victor Osimhen indeed in Serie A he was very sharp and as top scorer but in champion league i don't know why his performance isn't too impressive that since group stage Osimhen only able to scoring 2 goals however for betting options everything is just clear that pick for Napoli win is very good choice although this option has low odds @1.43 but it's safe bets

Liverpool will be very careful this time because the Leg 2 they have is quite a valuable bet. Real Madrid will also not feel safe even though they have won in Leg 1. Klopp will give his best game to continue advancing to the quarter-finals phase. It's hard to predict in this match because Liverpool always plays well when their opponents have equal strength.

The spectacular victory that Man City won today has given a breath of fresh air where Haaland is a field star who seems hungry for goals. The 5 goals created that conquered Leipzig were quite satisfying. Pep Guardiola is proud of the achievement of a Haaland who is so on fire to slay the opponent's defense.

Kudos for pep Guardiola men yesterday defeating Leipzig 7:0 is something that doesn't happen in Champions league always. Manchester city was super yesterday night, they outclassed Leipzig at Etihad stadium. I was sure they gonna qualitito the next round of the league. And Manchester city are favourite for the title this season. But they will have to destroy Real Madrid to get it.
Haaland must be getting so many applauses from city's fans. I meant if that will not happen if haaland didn't make 5 goals in a row against leipzig. Pep was only changing the players and it was giving very big impact.
Manchester city was not even performing differently compared with the first leg. I think that if it's gonna be a signal that manchester city was seriously targeting UCL as the main target for this season. Pep was thinking if EPL was a common thing but UCL is the most difficult trophy to be won even though city was always playing in UCL any season.

The problem is if it's not the same like the domestic league when you have so many lives to come back. Any club has only one chance in UCL. Once the club unable to win against competitor and it will be eliminated from the competition.

I agree, Manchester City played very well yesterday and Haaland was fantastic and it's a real shame that he didn't get the chance to stay until the end of the game and break the Champions League record for most goals in one game.
As for the Champions League, Manchester City have been trying to win this competition for a very long time, but so far they have failed.
Their goal every season is the same, to be champions of England and champions of Europe, nothing has changed.
Unlike when he was in charge of Barcelona, Pep is failing to win the Champions League, first with Bayern and now with Manchester City, despite having the finances to bring any player he wants to the club.
Has his magic disappeared or will Pep finally manage to win the Champions League with Manchester this season? It's hard to say after one game. The time will show.
The Champions League is such a competition that a few minutes of deconcentration can take everything away from you. Remember their match with Real last season in Madrid.

Not really, I will prefer to say Liverpool is still an unstable team. If they always play well against team with equal strength, they would not lose by 3 goals difference in the 1st leg. If Liverpool want to advance to next round, there is only 1 way to make it come true which is by playing full offensive strategy as they will need win with 4 goals difference. I do not want o underestimate Liverpool but I do not even think they can win in Bernabeu.
Even though Liverpool play a full attacking game, it seems that the mission of making miracles is difficult because Liverpool have been so inconsistent this season. And it is evident that after the 7-0 win over Manchester United, Liverpool lost 0-1 at Bournemouth, it is difficult for Livervool to turn things around because the opponent is Real Madrid, a very good and strong team overall.
Liverpool need 4 goals to qualify for the next round, and it's not an easy score for any team to chase it even though the UCL is full of surprises but I doubt Liverpool can turn things around in this second leg.
