Erling Haaland's great positioning and prolific power in front of goal is what I've never doubted despite the recent criticisms. He is naturally born to play in that center forward position and he does it with so much ease but my own only problem with his style of play is his inability to play in deeper positions when the team is having bad game and probably dribble few players and create chances for himself or his teammates to score.

He's always stationed in his top 9 position waiting for great passes come his way so he can convert them. He's a great footballer we know but for him to be seen in the same level with Mbappe, he should be playmaking sometimes.
Manchester City's big win in this match and everyone was amazed and focused on one player, namely Erling Haaland who scored 5 goals, this was extraordinary.
Regardless of the criticism that has been leveled at him lately, the statistics cannot be covered that Erling Haaland is an extraordinary player, in his first season with Man City he was immediately able to adapt quickly and contributed a lot.
I don't compare him to any player but for now at Man City he is the best striker.

What we're know is Real Madrid can pull an upset, while the other club seems unlikely to pull an upset. The match Liverpool vs Real Madrid is happen on Real Madrid's home too, do you think Liverpool will win with big margins in Real Madrid's home? I don't believe it.

Since Real Madrid already secure 3 points in order to qualify for the next round, I think they wouldn't mind if the match end in draw or lose for maximum of 2 goals.
yes, that's true, it's impossible for Liverpool to turn things around, especially since their team's performance is currently very bad.
Real Madrid are the kings of Europe, they have a very strong mentality, it is very difficult to beat them especially now that Real Madrid has won Agg 3 goals.
Critics always follow those who are good just like Cristiano Ronaldo, Halland have been criticized by both Man City fans and Fans from different clubs some will go on to say He is an 18 yard striker and can only score tap ins and easy goals while some would be waiting for his longest non goal scoring streak just to criticize him. I believe the major role of a striker is to score goals and it doesn’t matter how you score them. Halland is a very good striker and a prolific goal scorer and so far he has been brilliant for his club this season he is the highest goal scorer in both premier league and the Champions league its not an easy task to accomplish. Play making is the role of a striker and no one should expect Halland to be much involved in playing because he is meant to be scoring goals.

It will be difficult for Liverpool to turn around this 3 goals though its not impossible. Real Madrid are very experienced in terms of the Champions league its more like they own the league so they can’t be beaten easily especially when they are 3 goals up. It not over until its over but I’d still say Liverpool are eliminated already.

Kudos for pep Guardiola men yesterday defeating Leipzig 7:0 is something that doesn't happen in Champions league always. Manchester city was super yesterday night, they outclassed Leipzig at Etihad stadium. I was sure they gonna qualitito the next round of the league. And Manchester city are favourite for the title this season. But they will have to destroy Real Madrid to get it.
Haaland must be getting so many applauses from city's fans. I meant if that will not happen if haaland didn't make 5 goals in a row against leipzig. Pep was only changing the players and it was giving very big impact.
Manchester city was not even performing differently compared with the first leg. I think that if it's gonna be a signal that manchester city was seriously targeting UCL as the main target for this season. Pep was thinking if EPL was a common thing but UCL is the most difficult trophy to be won even though city was always playing in UCL any season.

The problem is if it's not the same like the domestic league when you have so many lives to come back. Any club has only one chance in UCL. Once the club unable to win against competitor and it will be eliminated from the competition.
Haaland is a real phenomenon, left no chance for Leipzig, not only that I do not remember 5 goals scored in the Champions League, but at the age of 20 years Haaland already managed to score 33 goals, more than Wayne Rooney, Robben or Kaka, and these guys were real masters of what few. We are lucky to watch players like Messi and Ronaldo, but I think that if Haaland and Mbappe keep up the pace, they can compete with Ronaldo and Messi both in trophies and number of goals scored.

the second leg of the round of 16, namely Napoli Vs Frankfurt today, seems to be a little easy to predict. because Napoli in the first leg had won 2 goals at Frankfurt. whereas today the second leg will take place at the Diego Armando Maradona stadium. Napoli will certainly be superior in this match as the host. even Napoli have excelled when away matches. so this time in the home match it will certainly be easier for Napoli. maybe it will run the same as the Man City match which managed to beat RB Leipzig easily.
you don't have to win, even a draw is guaranteed to advance to the quarter-finals, Napoli will represent Italy with Intermilan and Milan will advance to the quarter-finals, I'm not sure that Napoli will beat Frankfurt like Manchester City vs Leipzig with a high score, but I predict Napoli will only win narrowly because they also want to save strength for the quarter-finals later.
Yes, they don't have to win to qualify for the next round, even a draw is enough for them. It's a big opportunity for them to be able to talk a lot more in the Champions League, maybe they are not talked about as much as Real Madrid, Manchester City or the others, but we all know they have had a very good season this season. They are only a few steps away from registering a title in Serie A, and they also have to show the same in the Champions League and compete with other strong teams.

Liverpool will be very careful this time because the Leg 2 they have is quite a valuable bet. Real Madrid will also not feel safe even though they have won in Leg 1. Klopp will give his best game to continue advancing to the quarter-finals phase. It's hard to predict in this match because Liverpool always plays well when their opponents have equal strength.

The spectacular victory that Man City won today has given a breath of fresh air where Haaland is a field star who seems hungry for goals. The 5 goals created that conquered Leipzig were quite satisfying. Pep Guardiola is proud of the achievement of a Haaland who is so on fire to slay the opponent's defense.
Although in this match, of course, Liverpool must use a strategy that places more emphasis on attack because they need a lot of goals to qualify. And to be honest I doubt Liverpool will win this game. after seeing how inconsistent they have been in the last game. so I will comfortably bet for Real Madrid in this match.

Haaland was extraordinary against RB Leipzig. and this is the result of the laxity of RB Leipzig players in escorting Haaland. when haaland is free then he will be an amazing goalscoring machine. same as at the start of the season in the Premier league.

Liverpool is your hope to qualify for the Quarterfinals?
Historically, Liverpool should not be underestimated by anyone in the UEFA Champion League tournament, but with their current condition you still hope they qualify. Are you serious?
Then what makes you think I'm not saying anything serious?
Even though Real Madrid is the team with the most achievements in the Champions League, I have never underestimated Liverpool, which incidentally has almost certainly failed in the round of 16.

Liverpool must do everything so that their mission this season does not end with the same team as last season. It's difficult to beat Real Madrid, I admit it but Liverpool have a chance. You can underestimate Liverpool because I think you are a Real Madrid fan, but anyway the chances of winning are for Liverpool.

Real Madrid won't be lowering their game at the Santiago Bernabeu. Ancelotti wants to make history. Moreover, they are currently the only team from La Liga.
We'll see, but I'm support Liverpool to win the second leg.

There will be no such defeat as the match with City, but Napoli are the clear favorite, and I noticed that the teams do not try to play at half strength, they play to the end. The same City could play more calmly when they scored the third or fourth goal, but they were not even going to stop. Perhaps Napoli to some extent will behave the same way if they catch the courage. And as for Real Madrid, how they will play, they can say everything is done, a minimal win or a draw will be enough.

It's really unfortunate that the second leg between Porto v Inter only ended in a goalless draw, even though Porto immediately attacked when the match started. But unfortunately, Inter only maintained an aggregate win, so Inter only maximized their defense to keep playing well and disciplined, so that Porto was not lucky enough to turn the opportunities they got into goals.

Although Inter also had several attempts with shots on target, but in the end the match only ended in a goalless draw. Even though I really hope that Porto can score goals in the match, because if that happens then of course Inter will try to respond by playing more attacking.
I also thought Porto could score at least one goal for Inter to tie the overall score of the two games. But Inter defended well in that game and Porto left the Champions League, although they had a good opportunity to continue to compete. Porto have performed much better this season than in the past, but the strongest wins.

Not really, I will prefer to say Liverpool is still an unstable team. If they always play well against team with equal strength, they would not lose by 3 goals difference in the 1st leg. If Liverpool want to advance to next round, there is only 1 way to make it come true which is by playing full offensive strategy as they will need win with 4 goals difference. I do not want o underestimate Liverpool but I do not even think they can win in Bernabeu.

In my opinion, Inzaghi does not want to take risks that will harm Inter. Inzaghi came to Porto, of course he understood the condition of the opposing team. Porto as the host was indeed very ambitious to avenge the defeat in leg 1. However, Porto's attempt failed due to Inter playing with a strong defense. I think this is part of Inzaghi's smart strategy.

Most likely Italy will be represented by 3 teams in the quarter-finals namely Milan, Inter and Napoli. Most among representatives from other countries. If you're not mistaken, this is the best achievement for Italian representatives in the UCL over the last few years where they placed the most representatives in the quarter-finals ahead of representatives from England and Spain who have dominated in recent years.

It is possible that fellow Italian representatives will meet in the quarter-finals later. If that happens, there will be at least 1 Italian representative in the semifinals. But if the 3 Italian representatives don't meet each other in the quarter-finals, the opportunity to place their representatives in the semifinals can still be opened if the meeting is between Benfica or Chelsea.

Because the 2 teams are still on a draw with the 3 representatives of Italy. But for Bayern Munich, Real Madrid and Man City, I think they are still too strong for the 3 Italian representatives. Maybe only Napoli can still slightly offset the superiority of Bayern Munich, Real Madrid and Man City. But for Milan and Inter, it's realistic. Because the 2 teams are not consistent in playing in the League. Plus the Milan and Inter MIlan squads are less convincing when compared to Bayern Munich, Real Madrid and Man City.

I think Man City will win the UCL this season. Which team do you think will win?

Honestly Man City completely overran RB Leipzig rendering them helpless and much credit goes to Haaland for his clinical finish that culminated to 5 goals in a single match such an incredible record for the youngstar he was a fantastic goal machine he already scored 39 goals in all competitions for Man City this season, it was amazing and entertaining performance by the home team,  infact I never expected RB Leipzig to concede seven goals yestarday having been defeated twice only in their last 24 matches shows how formidable the squad is unfortunately couldn't withstand City.

To be honest, I didn't expect that City would beat Leipzig with a landslide score. initially, my estimate, the final result with a score of 3-1. that's why, I prefer to bet over 2 over. because if I choose the home team, the odds that City have are quite low. So, I bet that there will be a lot of goals in this game. it's just that, I didn't think that Leipzig would be defeated by a score of 7-0. Haaland was absolutely fantastic in this match, he scored 5 goals which in the end Haaland had a great chance to become the top scorer.
but referring to my previous post, this fight is what I predicted. that the game will go one way, City will dominate the game. and yes, in the first half until the fight was over, the ball possession was completely controlled by the home team. City had 23 total shots, 16 shots on target, 3 off target, 4 blocked shots.

On the other hand, it is inversely proportional to what is shown by Leipzig. Marco Rose's squad struggled to keep pace with the home team's play. the pressure came on, after the first goal from a penalty by Haaland. Leipzig seemed helpless, they only had one shot on target. as a result, they have to admit to the superiority of the home team. with this, City strolled perfectly into the next round phase.

Liverpool still has a chance even though it's really difficult and slim because they not only need to win but also win with a lot of goals at least 4 without being conceded by Real Madrid in the match later so the aggregate is 6-5 for Liverpool, but making 4 goals is difficult because Real Madrid is not a team whose defense is easy to penetrate, especially playing in front of its own public, but it seems that the bookmakers have the same view as you that this is a match that is difficult to predict, judging by the odds on the two teams, it is not much different even though Real Madrid got the lower but they not really the favorites in this match.

In contrast to Napoli, who are very far the favorites over their opponents later, playing in front of their own fans, also with a goal advantage will make it easier for them, moreover Napoli have appeared quite impressive so far it is predicted that they will not be able to go too far but they have answered many doubts in this competition.

I’m very happy for Inter Milan to have qualified for the UCL quarterfinals since 2011. I knew going to Porto would be difficult as I was expecting them to lose but they surprised me with a goalless draw. Porto through everything at Inter to force extra-time but woodwork twice denied. Somehow I think Porto played very well. They were just unlucky in the game, they did everything in last 10 minutes but unfortunately they weren’t a able to put ball in Inter's goal post.
Inter played strong defense in the second leg. even though he couldn't score, it was enough to send Inter through to the next round. Porto is frustrated, they've tried as much as possible. but the tactics played by Inter were much stronger.

City also succeeded in destroying Leipzig. they show a very good quality of play. now just waiting for the Napoli vs Frankfurt and Madrid vs Liverpool matches
FC Porto was just unfortunate not to get a goal in that match because they made some commendable goal attempts. Andre Onana denied them some goalscoring chances and I think Inter Milan is indepted to the Cameroon international. The game was very tended and the fans will not be disappointed because Porto put up a good fight.

I can't just explain what went wrong in the game between RB Leipzig and Manchester City. The German team was a total shadow of itself. They put up a good fight in the first leg and I expected this underdog to fight and get at east a draw in Etihad but the match turned out to be a nightmare. It was a total show of masterclass by the English team and I hope they would do the same thing when they meet a more formidable team.

Manchester City didn't give Leipzig many chances to even get a lot of touches of the ball throughout the match. The fast game and high pressure played by Manchester City forced the Leipzig defenders to make many mistakes. That first penalty was a bad start for Leipzig because after that Haaland seemed to be possessed devils and didn't stop scoring up to 5 goals.
I immediately switched my viewing to the FC Porto vs Inter Milan match as Haaland had already given Manchester City a 2-0 win last night against Leipzig.
Despite the Cityzens' big win, we have our doubts about Pep Giardiola's side in the UCL. Who knows who will be their opponent in the next round. If Manchester City's quarter-final draw is against a Serie A team or a Bundesliga representative, then their quest for European success will be difficult.

Napoli and Real Madrid have a great chance of qualifying. If Frankfurt need to win with a score above 2 against Napoli, then Liverpool need a win with a score above 3 against Real Madrid. On paper it is difficult to happen, but in football difficult things can happen.

Let's look forward to it.
I hope Napoli and Liverpool qualify for the quarter-finals. Real Madrid is the only La Liga team left, but it's hard to get Liverpool to easily score 3-4 goals to win. Liverpool will have to fight and do everything to qualify, and if that happens then Serie A and Premier League absolutely dominate the quarter-finals with 3 teams representing each.
Liverpool is your hope to qualify for the Quarterfinals?
Historically, Liverpool should not be underestimated by anyone in the UEFA Champion League tournament, but with their current condition you still hope they qualify. Are you serious?
Real Madrid won't be lowering their game at the Santiago Bernabeu. Ancelotti wants to make history. Moreover, they are currently the only team from La Liga.

Why are you not mentioning Real Madrid as well? Manchester City vs. Real Madrid would certainly be a great match up as they still have a score to settle from last year! Wink

The game between Porto and Inter was as expected and I think Porto actually deserved to score a goal. Inter's passing accuracy was among the worst in a long time and Porto tried everything they could but were out of luck eventually. It was obvious that Porto would give their everything, but I also thought that Inter is trying to get more control over the game and slow it down. Was hardly possible for them and if you look at all the teams that are qualified or likely to qualify for the next round, my guess is that Inter is the worst of them all.

The one advantage that Liverpool now still has is that they have nothing to lose anymore. Sometimes that can be quite freeing and if they can score one quick goal they might even start believing in a miracle.
