In the previous match, PSG lost 1-0 against Bayern Munich, but in today's match they lost 2-0. In other words, the goal difference between Bayan Munich and PSG is 3-0. Despite losing the first leg 1–0, PSG had a chance to win the second leg and make it 2–0. But PSG lost there, they were eliminated from the Super Sixteen of the UEFA Champions League this season, like the previous season. But not without praising Bayan Munich's game. But Bayern Munich have performed brilliantly. They played a more aggressive game in this match than the previous match. Congratulations to Bayern Munich on securing their place in the Super Eight.
Before the second leg of this match took place, indeed many trusted Bayern Munich more than Paris Saint Germain, and this was proven in the 2 matches that Bayern Munich won. Paris Saint Germain does have a luxurious squad, but Bayern Muncih's solidity can cover it all, Bayern Munich has a better mentality than Paris Saint Germain. I don't know how difficult it was for Paris Saint Germain to penetrate the defense built by the German giants. Again and again Paris Saint Germain failed in this Champions League.

Today there will be 2 matches in the round of 16, between Porto vs Inter Milan and Manchester City vs RB Leipzig, these matches will be interesting, the 4 clubs have the same chance to be in the quarter-finals following the 4 clubs waiting there . Inter Mikan has an aggregate advantage of 1 goal over Porto and this will be Porto's home game, while Manchester City and Leipzig have no difference in the number of goals as they drew 1-1 in the first leg. Manchester City will act as the home team in this game.

Every season is the same for PSG ,they do well in the group stage and once they step into the knockout faze they get knocked out fast and easy. Too many superstars in team especially in attack and that means less running so easier to concede a goal. PSG needs a new approach.

I have said this a lot of times before but if you are having players like Messi, Neymar and Mbappe all in the same team, then it is not really a thing that is totally positive in every respect. If those 3 players are playing at the same time, then this basically means, that your team probably has the strongest offense of all teams in the world, but in the same time this also means, that you have 3 players on the pitch, that are doing absolutely nothing to support the defense. I think this is just to much and can not be compensated anymore in modern football. Also i have to say, that the squad of PSG, bedides those 3 superstars is not really that great.

I didn't see the version of PSG that I expected. They had Mbappe and Messi both on the field from the beginning but this still wasn't enough for them to be more effective in scoring goals. They still had struggles and Bayern Munich were there to benefit from those opportunities in a great way. Bayern Munich could have even scored more goals than that. I remember PSG being able to eliminate them in the past. This made me think like they wouldn't give up that easy in this matchup as well.

After this result I'm just expecting Galtier to be sacked at the end of the season. They have said goodbye to the Champions League very early in the end and this title was their main target.
Unfortunately nobody did, they played not so great but they did not play that terrible neither, they had great attacking mindset and they tried but Bayern defense was just that much better and that's why they lost. Even that position where defender saved the ball from the line is proof enough that Bayern was just way too good on defense, didn't want to get scored on at all.

I think this is a proof that PSG needs to change something finally, not just manager but he has to go as well, they hired a terrible manager and that was obvious from the first day they announced it, but now we can see the reality too, but they need to change the roster a bit too, this just doesn't help at all.

Benfica, AC Milan, Bayern Munich & Chelsea qualify for the next round. Still waiting for the other 4 teams to follow, but I think the opportunities that qualifying is Madrid, Man City, Inter & Napoli. If Inter & Napoli success to going to the next round, Serie A will succeed in delivering 3 of its representatives.

For Inter is not save for now, since their aggregate only 1 goals, if lucky enough, they can follow AC Milan with 0 - 0 score. Tongue
Inter position still not fully safe especially for second leg Porto will playing as a host but Porto performance during group stage isn't too impressive even at that time Porto have to lose several times even from Club Brugge they have to lose with big scores at their home ground so after seeing this records i think very possible for Inter to beat Porto or at least they can targetting draw result

For other team Real Madrid and Napoli in the comfortable position because they had won with decent scores before and besides that i will counted Manchester City as the next team who qualified along with them although in the first leg Leipzig can able to hold them but i am sure Manchester City will be able to beat Leipzig for upcoming match

The Tottenham v Milan match was one of the most boring matches to me these days. Because I would have expected to see some goals in this one. They are both teams that have really effective attackers but still we didn't watch any goal. It was still okay for Milan as they had a score advantage on aggregate. But Tottenham needed to be much more productive than this. They didn't even have proper absolute goal opportunities during the match. The most important one was with Kane's brilliant header but Maignan saved it great.

After this elimination I wonder what Conte is planning to do. Maybe he would think of leaving the team before the team decide to sack him at the end of the season. Even if Tottenham qualify for the Champions League again this is still not a successful season for them.

Totenham may be planned to sack him from the club. Conte was not able to make totenham to be even better. It can be seen from this season totenham will be riding the competition without any trophy. All of chances already gone and it seems like that totenham was aiming to bring back its former coach pochettino again. Pochettino already rumored to be linked with totenham again after he has been leaving from there.

It seems like that pochettino will come back to the totenham

I think Milan's squad quality is better than totthenham's.That's why it wasn't a surprise for me that Milan eliminated totthenham.Totthenham may have focused more on the league results because they have a limited amount to do in the champions league and that's why they played as if they didn't care much about this place. As for Conte, maybe he can stay in charge of the team for another year.I think he will bring success to the team if the transfers he wants are made.
Tottenham are a good team, but they are only at that level with no more impressive developments wherever they have entered the competition. The strictness of the English League means that they never level up, they are consistent enough, but such consistency will not make them achieve any achievements. Management should see enormous potential in them, so they should make changes that make them even better.

Every year they also have the same dream, which is to win the Champions League but sadly that dream never came true. The Champions League is not only a scourge for PSG players but also for their coach. If Mauricio Pochettino was sacked last season for falling in the Champions League. I think Christophe Galtier will also feel the same pressure.

because PSG's domination of Ligue 1 has not been taken into account by PSG owners. therefore every year what they target is the Champions League title which all PSG fans dream of.
all their efforts are made by bringing in players labeled Stars. but it's a shame they still haven't been able to, and this season is bad enough for PSG to be eliminated in the round of 16.
Regarding the coach, it was reported that he was disappointed and angry with the results achieved by PSG. Of course, he is not satisfied with the disappointing results, but regarding his future at PSG, we still don't have accurate news.

This defeat proves that having a star player at a club does not necessarily change fate and circumstances. I think PSG should be able to improve the depth of their squad and be able to optimize players who are mediocre but can contribute optimally to the club. If they stick to the ideology of keeping star players I think they will repeat the same mistake. If we look at PSG's statistics in the last 16 of the UCL since the 2012/2013 season they have been eliminated 5 times and until now PSG have never won the UCL title.

Bayern Munich beat PSG 2-0 at home to advance. They also beat them 1-0 away. That's a 3-0 win in total. Frankly, if psg can't achieve success despite this squad, they should question themselves in the champions league. Despite spending so much money, they built a high level squad but in vain. It is sad for them and their management. The fans must be disappointed too.
Milan were the other team to advance. They already had the power to eliminate Tottenham. I'm happy for them.

I have to correct you, the owners of PSG have bought a lot of high quality players but they have not built a high quality team.
Someone can buy 20 of the best players in the world and put them together, but that doesn't mean they will create a quality, best team in the world.
PSG is just a collection of individuals without discipline, order, organization in the game, team unity and spirit.
It is an open secret that relations between the players are very bad, especially between Mbappe, Messi and Neymar and this was reflected in the team's performance yesterday against Bayern.
The owners of PSG have invested a lot of money in the club, but now they have realized that success in soccer cannot be bought and achieved overnight, but requires long and very hard work.
This is great news for all true football fans. Football won again, not money and financial power.
And I guess this is the end of their journey. It's now confirm with this trio psg can't win a Champions League. Despite having 3 excellent players Messi, Mbappe and Neymar, their bond on the field just doesn't seem to be there. Also, the midfield of the team appears to be struggling, and the coach may not be making the best tactical decisions. Despite having many talented players, there doesn't seem to be a clear structure or game plan. In my opinion, the team needs to focus on improving their midfield and defense in order to have a chance in this big stage. It's not enough to just rely on star strikers, a solid midfield is crucial for success. They need to make some changes and improvements to their team structure if they hope to make progress in next season.

While psg are unlucky in this big stage, there is a team from Germany called Bayern Munich who is and have always proved their potential.

I second this. Real Madrid already have a three goal advantage, and the second leg game is at the Santiago Bernabeu, i don't see any chance in hell of Liverpool overturning that deficit, the more likely result would be Real Madrid coming out on top both home and away. Leipzig travel to the Etihad to face Manchester City, the German club had a very good first leg tie, and they'll be looking to build on that, but i think City would be too strong for them, they have to win the CL this season, as such elimination in the RO16 stage to Leipzig is unacceptable.

Is it possible for Liverpool to get the magic they got in the UCL Final in Athens against Milan?  Grin
But if we look at Liverpool current performance, it seems that it will be far from this miracle. All they have to think about is not to concede additional goals to Madrid, because it would be a shame if they conceded more than 2 goals at home.

It is very difficult for Liverpool to catch up with goals from Madrid. I don't think Klopp will push his will to put all his strength into that match. I think it's better for Liverpool to shift their focus to the Premier League only to secure the top four targets.

Currently, Liverpool is very much embraced after successfully overthrowing Manchester United. The victory over United made it seem as if the Reds were rediscovering their best playing rhythm. Ancelotti certainly has prepared a special strategy to tame his opponent, at least Don Carlo instructed his players not to give Liverpool to score three goals. But Ancelotti must also remember the dark history that happened to him, Liverpool once made him suffer with AC Milan in 2005.

Actually in this case I think it's not just referring to that. Their conditions can be said to be balanced in terms of players. I think even though Messi and Mbappe are there, still, when you look at the Bayern squad, it's clear that you can say it's average. What makes the difference in this case is the team mentality and cooperation and of course the coach.
Even though Nagelsmaan is not a coach that can be compared to other top coaches, in terms of Champions League experience he is far better than Galtier.

Armed with Real Madrid's victory in Leg 1 and with a capital of 3 points, it will definitely be difficult for Liverpool to play freely. For Real Madrid itself, I'm definitely optimistic about qualifying and I'm not worried that even though Liverpool beat Manchester United by a score of 7 -0, it doesn't mean they can do the same for Las Blancos.

Harry kane just has to leave this club as soon as he can, for how much he has carried this club he deserves an some trophies and medals to decorate his career before he retires and stops playing. He already is their leading all time goal scorer, I think that is the best thing he will be able to achieve playing in this team. Tottenham could not even score a goal in the two legs, and we know that AC Milan are not at their best.
It's true, Kane should be looking for a place that is more than Tottenham in his current position. While there are still clubs that want to sign him, considering that Harry Kane is already 29 years old and I think it's ideal to find a club that needs his services.

Liverpool got the perfect result on matchday 25 by beating Manchester United 7-0, but for the Champions League I don't see any miracle coming to them, conceding 5 goals at home is a nightmare for Liverpool to make a comeback in the second leg. While Real Madrid's mentality in the Champions League is very different and no one doubts them, moreover a 5-2 advantage in the first leg will make it easier for Ancelotti to reach the quarter-finals.

The Santiago Bernabeu will stop Liverpool from advancing to the quarter-finals and I'm pretty sure that will happen. Jurgen Klopp must think of a precise strategy in stopping the attacks that will be carried out by Real Madrid, so that at least he does not accept defeat with a large number of goals at home to Real Madrid.

Meanwhile, Manchester City and Liverpool will fight it out, where Liverpool's potential is more difficult to qualify because they have a burden in Leg 1.
I trust that Manchester City will somehow make it through, but I cannot say the same for Liverpool even though they look like they have found their rhythm again.
