It would be a huge risk for Real Madrid to rest their key players in the second leg of their Champions League match against Liverpool. The unexpected may as well surprise them because they did not expect it. Their three goals ahead of Liverpool do not guarantee that they will advance to the next round of the competition. Liverpool will most likely come at them full force and squad, making a massive comeback. They've done it before and will want to do it again.
Real madrid will not be doing it. Real madrid will have used all of its resources to make sure if it can beat liverpool. Liverpool can comeback anytime. There's no reason for real madrid to rest some of the important players. The professional team will not even do that.
Any key players in the club must have fully prepared against liverpool. Liverpool will be playing in santiago bernabeu which can become a very good place for madrid to be qualified for the last 8 of champion league. As a world class team and any players in real madrid have responsibility with their job.
Ancellotti will not even see that as a reason to rest some players. Otherwise, real madrid shall come with better performance compared when it was playing at anfield. Madrid needs to win clean sheet to prove if it's king of UCL.

It would be very risky for Real Madrid if they rest many of their main players in the second leg later. I understand that with the 3 goal advantage they have at the moment, maybe their task will be easier, but that doesn't mean they have to do something very risky. Liverpool are in a bad state, but they are also not impossible to do something very shocking, they also have memories of making a comeback in the Champions League with 3 goals down as well.

Real Madrid is a tricky team. And their coach Ancelotti is very experienced. He knows how to play strategically in the Champions League and his team will get good results. Real Madrid won the first leg 5-2. And so it is very difficult for Liverpool to win the second leg by such a margin. And beating Madrid at the Bernabeu is even more difficult. So if Ancelotti wants to rest some of his players, I'd say it wouldn't be a bad decision. But Ancelotti is unlikely to want to take any risks. So I think we will see all the star players of Real Madrid with the squad in the starting XI.

Teams that win away will be more comfortable playing at home. Especially the teams that beat them by difference.
Real Madrid might have the most comfortable Champions League match at home. Because they have the power of winning 5-2 away. Napoli will have the same power. Since they also beat them by 2 points away, they will definitely play their home game with less stress.
Low pressure for those team. Real madrid has so many advantages. I think that even though either team real madrid and napoli have been getting very good aggregate to the their opponents but it seems both of the clubs are not going to decrease their intensity to make more goals in the second leg. There's no need to play or make some of the important players take rest caused by any match in the champion league is very important.

It doesn't matter how much goals already won in the leg 1. The target will always be the same to win in the second leg.

Looking at the current aggregate condition, out of 8 matches, 2 of them I am sure they will qualify, namely Napoli and Real Madrid.
But for 6 of them it's still fifty-fifty even though it's true for Manchester City it's also possible they can qualify but if they still apply the same boring pattern as before their conditions are still not 100 percent able to qualify I think.
The best thing to wait for is still Bayern-PSG which is indeed one that will be very interesting.
I think that benfica must be included in the list. it's caused by brugge is also losing against Benfica with quite big scores. Benfica is really strong right now but only a few people have been talking about this club. I see that zero chance for brugge to be qualified for last 8.

Benfica is too strong for brugge. it can be seen from the statistic of leg 1. Brugge could do nothing against benfica. It's very difficult for brugge to win against benfica. Brugge must make at least three goals against benfica to be qualified. This makes me thing that if brugge is also having zero chance and benfica will be going to the last 8.

Messi's absence is bad news for PSG fans, because Messi is an important player on the front lines of PSG and without him it seems that PSG will have a little trouble in the match later.
I think that from the news, Messi will probably not be absence, he can still probably play in PSG when against Bayern in the UCL which will be held several days later. He got injured but it seems that it is not a big injury and hopefully he can really be okay and fit very soon.
https://www.thescore.com/s/24489605
But indeed, actually, PSG still has Mbappe that is really great as a player for the attacking line. But if PSG misses Messi in this match, it will seem quite different without Messi moreover because he is still the star at this time.
Yeah, galtier has been confirming it. https://www.eurosport.co.uk/football/lionel-messi-will-be-fit-to-face-bayern-munich-in-champions-league-tie-says-psg-boss-christophe-galtier_vid1834995/video.shtml

Messi will absence against monaco caused by messi will take a rest as preparation against bayern. As far as i know that if messi didn't get serious injury. Messi's facing muscle fatigue. messi needs to take a rest to bring back his muscle again.

The match against monaco is not so important for PSG. that's why messi wonn't play in that match.
their performance was really bad though, even if Messi did not play, he won't change that much in a match, and keep in mind that it's just Monaco, Bayern are in a different realm, i would be really surprised if PSG can survive against Bayern's attack, a draw won't be enough in the 1st leg, PSG need to win, and to be honest, i don't see that happening.
This super interesting match in the Champions League with Bayern and PSG, I have no idea who can win, on the one hand PSG is bad, I don't know if they will have their stars, and Bayern is eager to reach a good place in the UCL, since they have not been protagonists for a long time, this is getting very interesting, also both PSG and Bayern are in danger in their leagues, because due to the bad moment that these teams have, they are about to be reached by the other teams that they are in the first places, obviously these teams want to be the first in their leagues and to be the champions of the UCL.

The problem with Manchester City is the midfield, there is no perfect replacement for Kevin de bruyne and this is always a problem whenever he does not feature for Manchester City because it is only Kevin that connects Haaland effectively. So if Kevin is not in the pitch there will not be correct linkage between the midfield and attack, that is the only problem of Manchester City. So I was not surprised to see them draw with Leipzig. I believe effectively that in the returning match Manchester City will come back very well and qualify for the next round

This simply calls for the signature of James Madison from Leicester City, I'm nkt about to say that Kelvin has been bad but the game before World Cup against Brentford, did he put up a good show ? No, did he during the world cup no too, he had his decision makings wrong during the world cup. He was not even injured but I'll, so what happens if he is Injured for six weeks ? Manchester City would crumble ? I wonder why sign Jack Grealish for so much.

I'm pleased with Leicester City because that was my prediction secretly. They have done well regardless, they remain the only Premier League side not to have lost in this round.
I have no doubt that City will qualify, they are on a great run, I also see that Haaland will be with a great attitude, Pep Guardiola will not miss this opportunity, they cannot lose, City last season were not very lucky, this time they have all to vindicate themselves and the truth is I don't think they disappoint their fans.

Now what you say about Kevin de Bruyne I fully agree, it is difficult because the midfield is always important, especially to set up the attack, Haaland is the main objective, he is the one who has to score the goals, the android has to do it and shine.

If you look at the condition of the actual team, Benfica is also very comfortable now because with an aggregate of 2-0 and the second leg will be played at home, this will clearly be a real favourite.
Talking about Bayern-PSG actually in this case I still feel Bayern will win again in the second leg this time.
What is certain is that in the second leg, their match will be more open than before.

I see Real Madrid very tired, the World Cup and all the commitments are weakening them

in my opinion he should focus only on the cup and let the Liga lose a little, in the end it is the Champions League that brings the money, which is needed to do everything

Real Madrid players are fine, why do you think they are tired? I don't see any sign of they feel tired to win.
Real Madrid no need to give up on La Liga, they can continue to try chasing Barcelona. There are still a lot of matches left, it is very bad to give u now. Although they fail to chase Barcelona in La Liga, they have tried their best at least. For UCL, they must prioritize it, the chance to win it is very open. However, prioritizing UCL doesn't mean giving up on La Liga competition.

I think Bayern Munich will go through. There's no way they will let the away win go in vain. I just want PSG to learn a very huge lesson that pumping a lot of money into players and inflating the player prices does not bring success at a European level.

I also think it will a shock exit for Manchester City as well  Grin
Their chances when compared to PSG are clearly bigger, but the problem is with the current conditions PSG will also not remain silent especially their players like Mbappe, Messi and Veratti who were not 100 percent fit before now they can play from the start.
For Manchester City, actually this can be done easily, it's just that Pep seems to want to make this a little difficult and it's better to play all out at the Etihad for the second leg later, but whatever the reason, this is a little wrong for Manchester City when looking at the first leg.

The Chelsea - Dortmund rematch can be quite interesting in Stamford Bridge. Chelsea were bad at finishing and unlucky at the same time in the first leg. As far as I can remember they had two absolute goal chances as well but wasted both of them. Dortmund somehow managed to get the win by 1-0. We could have watched more goals from both teams there actually. But it feels like we will be able to watch such match in the second leg.

Dortmund's priority will be to secure the current advantage and not to take big risks for no reason. But on the other hand I can't say they have a solid defense system right now. They will need to be effective in attacking as well in that case. Chelsea just need to be more capable this time. They can prevent the match from ending in 90 minutes above all else.
Definitely the return leg against Dortmund will be interesting and the fact that Chelsea lost in the first leg will make them want to win against all odds in this second leg. Dortmund will be fighting to get at minimum a draw to see them qualify to the next round. Chelsea have a more difficult task than Dortmund and I am excited to see how they can make it through.

Tottenham are having another similar season to the previous ones now. They actually made a great start but things started to be upside down for them at a point. They started to show some weaknesses in defense especially which led them to draw or lose many matches. Now they are trying to stay in top four in the English Premier League at least for joining the Champions League again. And here they are still a part of this tournament now. They didn't get a favourable result against Milan in San Siro.

However I still believe in Tottenham to turn the tide and eliminate Milan. But it won't be easy. I think the regular time of the rematch will end with Tottenham's advantage by one goal. After that Tottenham will make it to the victory by penalties at worst.
Yeah, if they could make a comeback in previous season to finish within top four to qualify for the Champions league then it is also possible to do so this season. Tottenham are not performing too bad if you ask me and it wouldn't be surprising to see them make it considering Liverpool and Chelsea are not in a good position to compete against them for the position.

PSG losing at home is a huge disadvantage for them. Bayern Munich will do everything to draw at home. I don't think they will push too hard because I think they need to rotate too. Because all 3 teams have the same points in the league and the championship race will start to heat up from now on. Since the points are close to each other, Bayern Munich should also give importance to the league. PSG is a bit more relaxed in this regard and there is not much reason to rotate. I would say they are a bit more comfortable in the league title race.
But isn't this the same as predicted. Because if I see that there are actually many people who hope like this in the first leg, especially for those who bet on Bayern with confidence.
Now PSG's condition in terms of players has clearly recovered and Mbappe can be played from the start of the match. This will be very good, although indeed with this condition I don't expect much either because I still believe Bayern can anticipate this and can advance to the next round.

The match was quite fierce but I don't see this being the best thing in this first leg even though this match is worth watching.
Both teams really didn't want to budge but it's a shame Porto faltered with a red card and a late goal from Lukaku. Even though it's like that, I think the second leg will be much more interesting because it's clear that Porto also still has a chance.
Second in the table, but Inter Milan met a pretty easy team  Porto .Porto kicked 4-4-2 very closely, while Inter started with the familiar 3-5-2 formation. Inter played better in the 78th minute, when central defender Otavio received a second yellow card, which means a red card, for a foul on midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu. He will be suspended for the second leg.
Porto played well this match, deserved at least 1 goal, will Porto come back?
To be honest in this respect I don't think Inter were any better because whatever form they were in it was clear in this game it was mostly luck in my opinion.
Porto are obviously very difficult when they are playing with 10 men and this was put to good use by Inter in order to make it an advantage in the first leg for them.

PSG's problem is not that they lost (1-0 is a nonsense advantage), but that they played objectively worse in all respects. I am sure that Bayern will not play to keep the score in the home game (it is quite risky), on the contrary, Bayern will try to score as many goals as possible so that PSG does not have a single chance. And judging by how Bayern dominated in the first game, PSG is unlikely to be able to oppose them.

They should have least brought in a replacement for Modric because he is having he's last stay with the club. Toni Kross also has decided to end his career with Real Madrid so they should sort for replacement for all this players who are ageing.

They're currently far from winning the league, most people doubt them winning tommorow against Athletico Madrid.

Camavinga, Valverde, Vinicius and Rodrygo are future propellers of Real Madrid.

Real Madrid needs to save their players and chance the team in every single match. They cannot continue to play all matches with the same team. Players are getting injured and i think this might be a big problem for them to finish the season well.
Real Madrid has key players that their absence will affect the team much and the substitutes cannot fully replace them. This is the case for most teams BTW and Real Madrid isn't an exception. Whenever Benzema is injured for example, Real Madrid results aren't top comparing to his presence and so on..
Real Madrid will most likely pass to the next stage in Champions League but they have to fix the mistakes made in the defence line..

PSG are in a really bad situation now. They lost the first leg home and Bayern Munich have a big advantage in Allianz Arena already. Maybe it was only a 1-0 loss for PSG but their job will still be difficult. Bayern Munich are a really disciplined team and they wouldn't be eliminated that easy from now on. It is very important for PSG to have all of the players in the trio in the attacking line. Even if one of them isn't able to play this will make extra difficulties for PSG.

We saw that in the first leg as Mbappe wasn't a part of the starting eleven. This is one of the important seasons for PSG to make it to the title while they have this trio. They need to fight with all they have against Bayern Munich.

Player rotation is possible and has been used by coaches when they know and believe it is the best option when facing weaker opponents. Ancelotti can do that in La Liga, but I don't think he will rotate in the Champions League so it's always possible to see their main players start from the first half.

It depends on which team they will be playing against, if that team is stronger then playing a main player is the best to get full points. As it is to come, I don't think Real Madrid will be rotating their players against Atletico Madrid in La Liga.
