It is too early to talk about Manchester City's championship chance for me. I need to see their performance against one of the title contenders first to have a clearer opinion. I don't expect them to have as big difficulties as they had in the first leg against Leipzig this time. I accept that the result of the first leg was surprising. Manchester City just tried to keep the 1-0 advantage to the end which they shouldn't have done. If they kept applying high pressure over their opponent then the final result would have been different.
I expect them to do this in both halves this time and eliminate their opponent nicely.
Many things will change in some teams in this season that will make Manchester city not to achieve anything from this season. Manchester city experienced draw game from small team in their past game that made people to doubt if Manchester city will win this title. If Manchester city cannot display well in their next games show that Real Madrid or Napoli will  be close to the position to win this title to surprise people.
We have to think that Napoli are also one of the favorites of the Champions league.  Of course, the reality of Real Madrid cannot be ignored.  When the tournament is the Champions League, I think there is no team that Real Madrid cannot beat.  They are the biggest favorites for the championship again this year.  They showed it once again against Liverpool.

I would say that Napoli has become the most favorite team in the Champions League at the moment. Because Napoli is almost certain to win the Serie A title. Napoli is 18 points ahead of the second-placed team in the table. And so Napoli can now focus entirely on the Champions League. And as a result, their performance in Champions League matches will be better. I think we will see Napoli in the Champions League final this time.

Naples had longed for such success for many years.  I wish Diego Maradona could see this situation.  I'm sure he would be very happy.  I'm sure they are one of the best teams in the champions league, but I don't know if they have enough experienced players for the big games.  Real Madrid is a team that has been completely formed with experience and we see that the players show their best performance in such an atmosphere.  I hope this does not affect Napoli and we can watch it in the final.

That is exactly what I used to tell people when they analyse football in as much as it is Champions League and in as much as Real Madrid is in the race of the Champions League do not make the mistake of counting Real Madrid out of the contest.

Real Madrid is a club that has known how to play the Champions League likewise the players and also the coach that is what they know how to do best. So, until thry are out of the contest do not count them out of the contest.

In all aspects, I agree with you and I will put Manchester City ahead in the Champions League so far. The team has been able to build themselves up brilliantly and their performance in every match shows that they are a strong contender for the Champions League title.

Manchester City might even be the only English team left in the Champions League after the rematches. I'm already seeing Liverpool out of here of course. I don't feel positive about Chelsea either. Tottenham actually have a chance if they play a little better home. 1-0 is not a score that is very difficult to make a comeback from against a team like Milan. Milan aren't as strong as they were many weeks before.
Almost all of english club didn't even show positive sign. City is the only club that was able to go to the last 8. Chelsea may able to make its comeback but that's gonna difficult due to the bad performance that happened with the club. I see no chance for english team other than manchester city to be qualified for the last 8

Most probably Manchester City would progress the most here as as an English team. But I have doubts about them to win the title as well for now.
There are so many strong team in UCL. I think that you shall not forget that if real madrid and napoli can win easily and go to the last 8 unlike manchester city that will be facing a hard game against leipzig even though if city will be playing at home.

Manchester City, Chelsea and Tottenham can be three clubs from Premier League can go to quarter final. Liverpool surely will not be able to beat Real Madrid at Bernabeu with more than three goals. Chance for Chelsea to beat Dortmund is not too high but chance is like 50 - 50 for Chelsea and Dortmund.

I think Manchester City and Tottenham have higher chances to move next than Chelsea. Their teams have better sentiment and forms than Chelsea and they can play better in Champions League than Chelsea. It seems the dominating era of Premier League clubs in Champions League is ended. They will have to wait a few more years for their big clubs to rebuild their teams again. Those clubs are rich and Premier League has very good income from television rights too. It helps big clubs there have money to buy star players and be more competitive.

You guys were too focus with manchester city while at the same time, napoli is having a chance to be winner of UCL this season. Almost all of players in napoli are on fire right now. So far napoli has only got 1 lose in domestic league unlike the rest of clubs in UCL.

Napoli may also become unbeaten in UCL as well. I think that napoli shall become the most favorite club in UCL. Napoli and real madrid are two candidates to win UCL.

I don't even think the rest of the clubs are able to catch up with napoli and real madrid. All of EPL teams played so garbage in the current season. it seems like that the winner will not come from EPL.

You overestimated Manchester City's current strength. They are not in particularly good form and Leipzig have actually been playing well for weeks, so it was foreseeable that it would be difficult for City. In the second leg, however, Pep will definitely use proper tactics and City will advance, but Leipzig is not without a chance!
This has always been the case, that most people always overestimate Manchester City. Maybe because of the influence of English media, but when it comes to the European league, they are just a bunch of brilliant individual players with no proper coordination. Any team with good coordination can beat them on an average day.

I will boldly predict that Manchester City will not Lift the Champions's League trophy again this season.

They are not looking so much ready as they was last season
Beenado Silva is a player who doesn't look like he is also happy within Man City anymore again
Even with how Pep handles smaller clubs it is not wise to say city will win the Premier League

Napoli certainly also has good chances to become champions. But the showdown with Liverpool in the group stage doesn't say much when you look at what form Liverpool are in. I also see Real Madrid coming a long way, they can beat anyone, as last season showed. Benzema also seems to have found his niche again. For Real Madrid, Liverpool in this form was a real dream draw, I don't think there is a team that is in worse shape at the moment. But the spectacle will only really begin in the quarterfinals.

it happened to Manchester City two times in the last few matches were they were leading and ended up drawing with the opponent even though their opponents were not one of the best out there, i would avoid betting in favor of Man city, you never know, it could happen again, it's hard to picture it happening against Leipzig again, but it's possible, being 0-0 in the last 20 or 15 minutes and Leipzig steal a goal from a corner kick or a counter attack.

What struck me off was Chelsea vs Dortmund. Dortmund's 1-0 win in the first leg does not guarantee exactly they will continue. Chelsea still have plenty of opportunities to make things happen. Because the second leg they will play at Stamford Bridge. If you look at the game during the First Leg, it should be the second leg that Chelsea were able to win. They can play well, they are capable of possession of the ball. I hope Kante can already play because there is still a two-week gap left. I think Jao Felix will again be Potter's mainstay player.

Joan félix is finding a very good partnership with Enzo Fernandez and it shows on the pitch since both players has already combined to score once with other times the goals been cancelled due to Joan félix been offside. I don't doubt Chelsea over turning the result at Stanford bridge, we're capable of doing exactly that. Dortmund didn't even play that well in the first leg ro deserve the win they got, Chelsea played better but lack players capable of taking it upon themselves to win a game for the team. Dortmund goal was a solo one that resulted from Chelsea not been able to capitalize on the corner kick they had.

Chelsea in the second leg just has to be more clinical to win the game. We should be scoring first and then the Dortmund side will be forced into coming out then we can get ourselves more goals to seal the deal and progress to the quarter finals. I just want to see what Graham Potter team selection will belike because from the players he decides to use then we can get an idea on how the match should turn out.

Not sure what happened to Manchester City during this game because as far as we can see from their performance in the premier league and their position in the league they could have had a high chance to beat Leipzig in the first game. Leipzig is the 4th team in their league and I didn't expect to see this team being able to stop a team like Manchester City, however, the game was in Red Bull Arena and they benefit while playing at home against Manchester City.

If City continue to play dull ball control (while ignoring Haaland) and Leipzig defend well then I assume the game will end 0-0 and shootout. The only "fun" scenario I see for this game is if City score first and Leipzig are forced to go ahead. As we have seen, they know how to do it and then both teams will have chances to score a goal. If Leipzig scores first, then it will close in the same way and we will not see anything interesting.

One way or another, it is going to be extremely interesting how that is going to play out. Haaland is often mentioned and he scores all the time, but is he a guarantee to win it all? No he is not! I am excited to see how this is going to develop.

It is still a home game for Manchester City. For Leipzig it is most important to not concede an early goal. That would wreck their game strategy so much because nobody wants to play against a Manchester City that is waiting for counter attacks.

It is not too early to talk about Manchester City championship in CL. This is because they are among the most informed clubs in every champions league seasona and as matter of fact they won the best team last season. So Manchester City and Real Madrid are always the favourites but City has been so unlucky
Best team for what? There are so many big clubs. Manchester city may do nothing when this face another club like bayern or real madrid. It seems like that city was not favorite in this season. It was not even able to beat leipzig in the first leg.
That means the chance for leipzig to be qualified for champion league is still very big at this moment. I think that will be real madrid who will be winning UCL for this season. Real's performance looks so impressive at this moment. I would not be surprised if real madrid will be able to winning the trophy. It's too early to talk about city to win UCL while there are so many big clubs at this moments.

I don't really want to admit this but with the current conditions Liverpool really can't do much.
Now their condition is very depressed in the Champions League and in the EPL so indeed with conditions like this the possibility of Klopp leaving will be even greater.
He's a good coach but when it doesn't lift Liverpool out of a slump it's still a failure no matter what.

It's difficult for Liverpool now though indeed when it comes to surprises they did the same thing decades ago in the Champions League but of course it's different now than it was in the past.
With their condition which is still not good, it becomes more difficult and indeed I think 3 goals or more against Madrid is very difficult to do, especially when at Barnebeu.

I agree with this. Man City seemed like focusing on ball control and possession, but they didn't make any sharp shots on target. whereas they have Haaland but he didn't have many chances to goal. Well, Man City must manage much better tactics to overcome the problems and make victory against Leipzig in the second leg moreover they will be playing at home. But, they must not deny the fact that Leipzig is also a strong club with many surprises during playing. They also have strong defenses. This will be very exciting to watch how Man City can overcome this problem and win in order to advance to the next round.
