Of the 4 matches that have been completed in the first leg of the Champions League round of 16, maybe only Benfica won the game comfortably. Yes, it happened because their opponent was Club Brugge, which was not favored more than Benfica. With the 2 goals they won, it will make them even more comfortable when holding the second leg at their own cage, because if it's like that then they just need to hold back and try to set the tempo of the game and as much as possible so that Club Brugge can't create a the aggregate shrinks and even equalizes. I think they will do well in the second leg.

Qualifying for the next round will not be difficult for Benfica. Club Brugge is not a strong team. And this team is not in good form right now. If Benfica's players are able to perform somewhat consistently then they will be able to beat Club Brugge again in the second leg.

Bayern Munich won against PSG by a narrow margin of 1-0. So the match of the second leg of these two teams will become more competitive. Both teams will play to win. And PSG's situation is not good now though. However, I think both teams still have equal chances to qualify for the quarter-finals.

I didn't expect such a performance from Chelsea, I must say they surprised me. The first half was a different game and the second half was different. Both teams were equal in the first half and Chelsea dominated the second half. But they struggled to score goals. Still, this performance gave some fans hope for the team to recover.
There is not much to say about the Club Brugge - Benfica match. The difference in performance and quality between the two teams is obvious. Benfica would have won comfortably even if it was away. This result didn't surprise me either. They could have scored more goals.
Chelsea give hope to their fans I agree with that, because in this first leg match I can say that their game was more promising even though in the end they still had to narrowly lose by 1 goal to Borussia Dortmund. They still have a chance in the second leg later, they will also be more motivated to avenge their defeat and turn things around so they can get rid of Borussia Dortmund.

When your team performs better than the opposing team, yet still loses, it's really sad. What you're feeling is natural and understandable disappointment. As expected, Chelsea put on a fantastic show, particularly in the first half. Regrettably, they were unable to generate any scoring opportunities in the second half. It appears as though Chelsea's lack of goal-scoring ability is becoming a serious problem for the club. There is cause for concern, as the numbers suggest that Chelsea has also been struggling to score in league play. The second leg will be played at Stamford Bridge, where I think the squad has a chance to recover. They need to increase their goal-scoring and chance-making prowess on the pitch. I have faith that they can raise their game and avoid getting knocked out of the league this time around. Let's hold out hope for the best and keep cheering for our squad.

Dortmund didn't was much better form Chelsea, I expected more interesting game from both teams, but it didn't happen. Chelsea are in big trouble scoring even one goal, if Potter doesn't fix that, then the match at Stamford Bridge will be no different from the first match. But Chelsea still has a good chance in the Champions League, they have a good team, they just need to start scoring goals.
Chelsea was quite unlucky, I don't know if it's right to say Porter is an unlucky coach. Chelsea played their best and deserved a goal in the match but it didn't come after several attempts which hit the bar, I knew it will be quite an. Unlucky day for them because on so many occasions, a start like that always ends in a tragedy.
It is more saddening that Graham Porter seems unperturbed about all the bad results he keeps having in the club.

Unfortunately, the two teams are currently not in a convincing situation. both PSG and Bayern, both are having some problems. plus, several key players from both teams were both injured. Recently, it was reported that Mbappe would be absent after getting injured against Montpellier. according to rumors, Mbappe will be out for the next three weeks. that means, Mbappe is doubtful that he will be able to appear with PSG against Bayern Munich later. and if these rumors are true, automatically PSG's front line will lose its sharpness a little. It's a shame, because this match is an important match for PSG.

Meanwhile, Nagelsmann's squad still hasn't returned to showing its true form. the absence of several players who were injured caused Bayern's performance to decline slightly. with the situation that happened to these two teams, it looks like the match in the first leg will not be so interesting.
We have too much similarity in both team's performance after break with too many injuries and performance level is also not as they were doing before break even in last nigh game both done good performance in away matches but still they need more improvement for the better results in Champions League but here I have feeling in this all situation PSG is still better than Bayern Munich because in last three Bundesliga games they have just three points with their attack is not sharp as it needs to be on target which is surely problem for them and Nagelsmann having the biggest concern about this as well.

In PSG case, they lost Mbappé for the first round match but still their attack is having better power and depth for this game because Messi and Neymar both can handle this all situation, and they can break Bayern Munich defense for the better result of the first round match in Mbappé absence.

Honestly, in this game the possibilities are open, and things can happen either way, I think that both teams have the quality to be the winners, of course if we are willing to look closely, I think that PSG would have the advantage Due to the quality of hjyugadroes that you have, the case of Ney, Mbappé, Messi, they are a winning combination from the point of view that you look at, I don't see a breaking point there, you have to wait to see how things continue within the team, lately they had not tended to be able to be more consistent, soccer is very complicated, a match that can be seen easy for PSG can be very complicated, even losing it.

Felix must try to train hard to execute even better especially trying to train to make an accurate shot. The second leg gonna be hot caused by chelsea was only losing 1 goal. It can comeback anytime.

If you say Felix needs to try hard to execute his chances and all that then it means his no good addition to the team. I mean look at this Chelsea side, they're just bunch of jokers running around from one end to the other, this Chelsea players have lost it as it is and to top it all, no team spirit at all. There's no way they can play as a unit, something is really wrong with the team, I really don't think is the coach but part of the problem is some of the players.
They lost to a better side in the Champions league and the return leg is going to be disastrous. I'll say it's disappointing because after buying all those players and they can't deliver what's the point in getting them? Is it to come and showcase their names on the Chelsea color? Hell no,  they need to make some changes, drop some players and start those ones that are eager to play. And to rap it up, Felix is one of the best amongst all the players they bought.

No, wait a minute, the technique that Joao Félix has is good, what happens is that he had no luck, that was all, but the technique is impeccable, right now for a player to learn or change something in his technique is difficult, they already know it, what they can do is improve the technique so that it adapts much better to what Chelsea needs and that's what training sessions are for, for me the best were Joao Félix and Enzo, although everyone criticizes Enzo for the goal What they did to him, it's not the right thing to do, first because he put up with the player well, he did what every defense always does, but the player decided to give that one he couldn't reach and goal, but it was a deadly counterattack for Chelsea.

several matches have been held such as PSG vs Bayern, Milan vs Tottenham, Chelsea vs Dortmund, and Club Brugge vs Benfica matches. of the 4 matches I was only surprised by the Milan vs Tottenham match. because only the match Milan vs Tottenham did not match my prediction. The next matches are Real Madrid vs Liverpool, Frankfurt vs Napoli, RB Leipzig vs Man City and Inter vs Porto. of the four matches I will favor Madrid, Napoli, Man City and Inter who will win each of their matches. but for the Inter vs Porto match there might be a surprise from Porto. because so far Porto has performed quite well and is maintained. and Porto are almost the same as Benfica who have good consistency this season.
A difficult match for Real Madrid later, because Liverpool will be playing at home although Liverpool are currently in a poor performance in the Premier League, but in the UCL this team is very dangerous. Previously, in the UCL final Real Madrid lucky to win because Liverpool really dominated that match, so I personally would not favor Real Madrid in this first leg.

I will consider that, it is true even though Liverpool's performance in EPL is poor but they have very rare losing record at home.
Liverpool often experience draws, they really avoid defeat when playing at the Anfield stadium
The Champions League continuation match will bring Liverpool vs Real Madrid together at the Anfield stadium

The match between Dortmund and Chelsea was really fun in fact just as I expected. But it just didn't reflect on the final score of the match.

Before the goal, Chelsea were quite dominant when it comes to goal chances. They found numerous chances to score but wasted them all. Joao Felix had a couple of significant attempts and one of them hit the goal post also. He was really unlucky in this match but it wasn't about all luck of course. He could have been better at finishing. Enzo Fernandez also wasted a huge chance in the last minute as Kobel saved the shot incredibly. One counter-attack was enough for Dortmund to win this match. Adeyemi did a great work there by getting past a defender and the goalkeeper and finishing it. Chelsea were so close to scoring the equalizer in fact but Emre Can prevented the ball just over the goal line.

It isn't over for Chelsea but they need to be better at finishing next time.

About Chelsea, I think it was an unexpected defeat. I know they haven't been really good this season, especially in the Premier League. But after all they expected to do better in the Champions League, but in the end Chelsea also had to lose to Dortmund. But anyway, I think there is still a chance to win tickets to the quarter-finals if Chelsea win on aggregate in the second leg later. Currently, two Bundesliga teams have only won 1 goal over their opponents, Bayern Munich and Dortmund. So it will definitely be very exciting to look forward to the second leg.
The second leg fixtures between Bayern Munich v PSG and Chelsea v Dortmund is going to be pretty interesting and i am also looking forward to these games myself. I wasn't at all surprised by Chelsea's loss, they just can't win football matches at the moment, notwithstanding how much they have spent on players in the last couple of months, i think Dortmund are going to go through in the end, they look much better than Chelsea; and there is more togetherness in their team than in Chelsea's. Graham Potter's job has to depend on if Chelsea go through or not, because i cannot understand how Todd Boehly would buy players left, right and center and Chelsea would still be eliminated in the RO16 of the champions league, it has to be unacceptable by the board.

Disappointingly Chelsea lost despite their efforts in the first and second half of the game. They created chances and had some fair shots on target, but I am going to give it Dortmund the goal in the 62 minutes was unexpected and one of the best in the tournament that I have seen so far. It was a difficulty run but a great goal one that we would remember for a long time.
We are sure to seem more goals like this due to Chelsea's poor defence if the lapses are not fixed ASAP.

Chelsea stayed well in the game. At least, for the first ten minutes. But I also think Chelsea lacked good mid fielders which Dortmund capitalized and used it to their favor. They needed good players like Kante to compliment Enzo which Loftus-Cheek didn’t really do in the game. They lacked aggressive forward and also backward midfielders.
Also Graham Potter has been given too much time with so little results from his side. If they continue this way, they would most likely not go ahead to the Champions league and the Europa League next season.

I consider Brugge lucky that they could get to the 1/8 stage at all. But once it became known that they would play Benfica, the chances of them continuing to play in the Champions League disappeared. Benfica are now a very strong club and I think they can make it to the semi-finals. Their game statistics are very good, they haven't even lost two games against PSG.

Benfica's current achievements are almost similar to Napoli's achievements. these two teams have had good consistency throughout the season. They continue to be able to maintain their best performance with fairly good consistency. in the main league Napoli and Benfica only have 1 defeat from all matches throughout the season in the premier league. well, I'm pretty sure Benfica will advance to the next stage. now I'm looking forward to the Napoli vs Eintracht Frankfurt game. I hope Napoli will win in that match.

I don't really think it is the fault of players for all these poor performance.  A team can have quality players but if the coach is unable to manage them their wont be positive result in the team performance. For a team to have players that are not weak and still perform poorly I believe the problem is from the coach. If coach like xavi were able to manage the set of players he met in the team as a coach. It is not a surprise to me that Chelsea will lose to Dortmund,  the result is common  and nothing new.

What happened to Chelsea Football Club last night could happen to any other club who is not prepared to play the Champions League. Chelsea doesn't have a formidable squad that will lead them to the Champions League they are just floating and they're buying new players anyhow.
The coach has not figured out how to use this players. I am of the opinion that Chelsea will start doing well from next season but for this season they have lost out in everything and even entering the Premier League top four is an impossible task for Chelsea Football Club. It is not the fault of the coach nor that of the players. They need time to synergize and get good results

I believe in luck, but in football there is no such thing as absolute luck. Each team must struggle to beat the other team regardless of the strategy introduced by the coach. There are fortunes where defeat is only caused by the opposing team's own goal, but that rarely happens. Coach, strategy, players, chances created and luck have to be a package when one of them wins a match, and that is important.

Club Brugge isn't as bad as they sound, but they're just no better than Benfica actually taking their chances for goals. Benfica's victory has led them to a good possibility to qualify for the quarter-finals, but Benfica is not completely safe.
In fact, if you look at Club Brugge's current achievements, reaching the knockout phase as it is now, it's actually very good for them because regardless of the size of a club that is not favored like them, they are doing well in the group phase and are in their current condition competing with big clubs already. very good regardless of the result they got in this game.
I agree with you, that Club Brugge's achievements in the UCL this season are indeed very great, although later if they can't beat Benfica's aggregate points, at least Club Brugge has tried their best. On the other hand, Benfica, who are the favorites in the play-off round this time, it seems that they are very motivated by the results of last night's match and that can be a good capital for the second leg later.

It is very rare to achieve victory in football based on luck, but rather the strategy and ability of the coach to see opportunities to win in matches, Berugge has reached this stage based on hard work and consistency in playing. But the problem is that they are no better than Benfica when playing in the round of 16, so it is difficult to keep up with the match and suffer defeat. Throughout the match Benfica dominated the match and many opportunities were not even able to score because the finishing was still not good.

Joao Mario's penalty in the second half made it even more difficult for Brugge to play openly, so Benfica became more aggressive and controlled the match, until David Neres sealed the win with a score of 2-0, of the four matches that have taken place in the round of 16, Benfica is the only one capable of scoring two goals.

Club Brugge have only lost once in the group stage, so is it fair to say they were lucky?
It's unfair to have this kind of opinion about Club Brugge because basically they have done better than Leverkusen and Atletico Madrid. Even though they are no better than Benfica, Club Brugge's achievements in the Champions League this season deserve appreciation.
