PSG lost too many points in the league after the world cup. Bayern Munich went through a similar process but they managed to become a winning team again. Mbappe is the best striker PSG has at the moment ,Mbappe present will had more opportunities for PSG. If the these players will be playing the game it will make PSG have more edge against.
Bayern Munich will always want to make the game tough for PSG.

We don't know will Messi and Mbappe are ready for matches against Bayern or will miss it?

Now we only have rumors that can be disguising strategy from PSG. Nothing has been confirmed yet and we will have to wait until last days before their first leg match in Champions League to have a better guess about ability to play of Messi and Mbappe. Both Mbappe and Messi are very important for PSG attacking system and don't have both of them will be nightmare for PSG.

However, if they have only either Messi or Mbappe, I think it is good enough and it can help them to strengthen their defense capacity with another attacking player who can run more and proactively contribute more for their defense. In Champions League, defense should be first priority, not attacking and we all know PSG have not too good defense ability.

I think that anyone who has been watching the match between PSG against marseille might know how bad the performance of the team was without mbappe. Mbappe is the main player who has been scoring most of the goals by PSG in french league.
