The most important thing that must be changed must be its striker, Nunez has proven that so many time if he can do nothing. It can be seen from several matches. Almost all of liverpudlians were also feeling disappointed with his performance. Liverpool shall get a new striker instead of keep using him as the main striker for the squad. That's the reason why the performance from liverpool was also doing down so hard.
If there will be a big changes and im sure that liverpool will be facing disaster in the future.
It was not only Nunez who did not perform as expected, other players did the same thing, so that their balance was not maintained and they had to always accept negative results. Can the strategy implemented by Jurgen Klopp not be implemented properly? or Jurgen Klopp's strategy which is not so effective now? that is now a question in my mind. If they continue like this, then don't expect Liverpool to be able to beat Real Madrid.

I don't understand the problem of Liverpool even with the good players they have and up till this time they keep up struggling to win games. Liverpool is not getting better in performance,  I don't think it will be possible with their performance to challenge Real Madrid.  Liverpool Real Madrid match is going to be a total different game from Liverpool from what it used to be before now. If EPL is hard for Liverpool to win games, I doubt the champions league will be easy.
I think Liverpool have to make a few changes to their tactics or make a few more effective signings that will make positive impacts to the team. Liverpool have been struggling this season and losing points even to smaller teams which is unusual. If they perform at this level against Real Madrid the result might not be too good and might be disastrous. It seems qualifying for top four spot in the premier league will even be difficult to achieve this season.

I think tactics are good enough, they just need new players. And to consider the fact that they haven't spent nearly as much as most other teams at the top, they should totally spend a load of money. They could spend another 200 million and would still be not spending as much as some of their opponents. They are spending as much as a relegation zone team, not a championship level team. If they can spend 200 million on this?

They would most certainly become a team that is amazing, but to do that first they need to get greenlight from the owners, and then they have to get some good players with that money too, because if they spend a lot and still get bad players that would be irreversible.

Liverpool is surely struggling in this season and having not near the Real Madrid for the match but as we know Champions League is completely different league with having too many unpredictable results and unknown winners things can change here for the Liverpool as well because they are doing good job and trying to have strong strategy which helps them for having better consistency in results Jürgen Klopp is also having good chemistry about this all hopefully they will be able to have their winning combination.

Real madrid will be feeling very confident against Liverpool. Liverpool are currently struggling with poor form even with the recent signings they still find it difficult to win games in the Premier league. Real Madrid are far better in performance and if both teams go against each other with their current forms I believe Real Madrid with come out victorious.

In terms of performance and play, it is clear that Madrid is more stable and established than Liverpool. even today, Jurgen Klopp is still struggling to improve the performance of his troops in a better direction. even so, the fact is that Liverpool never showed their best performance. plus, several players are still injured, because of that Klopp is trying to bring in some newcomers this January.

I don't think it's entirely the coach's fault, because after all the Liverpool squad has above average quality. but what happened on the field was that the Liverpool players played very underperformed. therefore, it's only natural that Madrid will be the favorite in the round of 16 match later. besides that, Madrid has a good record against Liverpool. even so, this match still has a time lag, especially for Liverpool. Klopp knows that his troops will find it very difficult to host Madrid even though the Reds are playing at home in the first leg.

I'm not a Liverpool or Madrid fan, but for sure as a football lover I hope this match will present a very interesting battle for us to enjoy.

Liverpool's current weakness, in my opinion, is in the midfield, Thiago, Fabinho and Harvey Elliott have not been able to carry out their duties properly, not many balls are flowing against attackers, lack of intercepts and weaknesses in building attacks, thus making Darwin Nunez less developed.
Thiago Alcantara and Fabinho have not been among the players who you can say are not good at carrying out their duties as organizers of attacks from midfield. However, Harvey Elliott still needs flight hours because his performance is still inconsistent.
Jurgen Klopp still has Curtis Jones if Henderson cannot be played because in my opinion Curtis's expertise is above Elliott.

But take it easy, Jurgen Klopp can definitely find the right strategy to bring Liverpool to the championship competition, especially in the English Premier League.
There are not many options that I see from the players Jurgen Klopp has at the moment, because they are decreasing simultaneously which makes it difficult for him to develop a game that should go as directed. Just look at the overall statistics of these players (which Liverpool have) I see that almost no player is playing at his best. Previously they actually played aimlessly, for example their defenders who were quite tough, this season looked weaker, even though they were still inhabited by players like last season.

Liverpool's performance when compared to Real Madrid is very far. El Real in the league has always been consistent to win, while the Reds have gotten worse after being left by their key player, Sadio Mane, last season. Darwin Nunez, who is predicted to be able to fill in to replace Mane's role, often fails when he gets the chance. Now Liverpool's focus will turn to Cody Gakpo, I hope he will give his best for Liverpool when they meet Real Madrid.

Sadio Mané impact is still having his side effects because Nunez is not near him even mostly still regarded him as best but sadly in last few matches he fails to give any positive result but still hopes are alive because he is young and have good potential for giving his best in big games may be this could be against Real Madrid.
Indeed, in the champions league there are no definite matches, but when talking about the opponent that must be faced is Real Madrid, of course many people think they are out of luck. Not only clubs from the EPL have felt defeat by Real Madrid, but Bayern Munich, PSG, Juventus and several other European clubs have felt this way. It's no longer a secret that Real Madrid really dominates the champions league and for Liverpool it looks like they're also out of luck at the moment, when the team's performance is deteriorating and they have to meet Real Madrid in the last 16 of the UCL. However, whatever happens, I hope that these two teams will continue to give a good performance.

The coach of Newcastle United Eddie Howie have come out to speak regarding the clause in Cristiano Ronaldo's contract that will allow him go to Newcastle if they qualify for the champions League next season, According to Him he said he doesn't have an idea about that and that Ronaldo is a great player and he wishes him the best, but there is no such clause in Ronaldo's contract, he said this in the pre-match interview in the Arsenal Vs Newcastle game yesterday. Newcastle United are really doing great this season, loosing only to Liverpool at field, in there last 13 games they have won 8 frame 5 and are currently third on the log same point with Manchester United who have a game in hand.

I think this is just a rumor and not some serious news.
Ronaldo has not played at a high level for a long time, and now he has practically retired from serious football by going to Saudi Arabia.
It is safe to say that he is now enjoying a very well-paid football retirement  Grin
The owners and management of Newcastle have shown that they run the club very well and that they carefully select new players and don't spend too much money on transfers.
Their results in the first season of the English league are already excellent and they are very close to qualifying for the Champions League.
They already have a very good and competitive team for the Champions League and they really don't need Ronaldo.

I didn’t watch the interview so I can’t confirm what was said in what context. Eddie Howie isn’t the owner of the club, Newcastle FC is run by Arab money. Al-Nassr wanted Ronaldo so bad they could have the deal with Newcastle possible. I don’t think Ronaldo or his agent were deceived.

It's become a classic story every time a team doesn't get the results expected, the coach is the first to be blamed, the funny thing is that Chelsea's management knows the difference in experience from Tuchel and Potter, and still chooses to replace Tuchel with a coach who has less experience, then what happens? they expect better achievements, when with more experienced Tuchel couldn't lift Chelsea then hoping more on Potter seemed ridiculous, I think the Chelsea management was too hasty with theirs decision.
But if the rumors are true and there is a change, who will coach the Chelsea club? and be able to keep this team in the UCL
Nowadays, clubs give more power to their players than to their coaches. Anytime a club has a crisis, likely their coach will be considered for a sack first, not players. Clubs give players more chance to fix mistakes but they don't give same chance to coaches.

Tuchel helped Chelsea to win their second Champions League in history and his name will be in Chelsea hall of fame forever. About one season later, he was fired unfortunately. It is more shocked to see a replacement is Potter who undoubtedly has less experience and worse career than Tuchel. Now after a few months, we see how bad Potter is to manage Chelsea and help them to handle the crisis.

Maybe Chelsea will find a new coach in the summer because Potter does not meet their demand and when patience is lost, they will fire him easily.

I heard rumor he has two matches chance for answering he was right choose, but if failed, I think have possibility Graham Potter sacking from his position.

First time when Chelsea give Chelsea manager position for Graham Potter I little doubt, he hasn't experienced with bigger team and during his career as manager never any trophies achievement. Finally true what happen with Chelsea right now and still away from top fourth standing position give impact how bad reputation from Graham Potter. I heard rumor he has two matches chance for answering he was right choose, but if failed, I think have possibility Graham Potter sacking from his position.

Firstly when appointing a manager, Chelsea doesn't care if you have won a trophy or not, remember when we hired Sarri and the whole world said the same thing that you're saying now. How did that turn out, didn't he lift his first trophy at Chelsea and since then went on to become a hot cake in the league he wasn't rated much. Chelsea problem is having the right players in the squad and them been fit because whenever we have that, the squad play beautifully.

Those sack rumors are fake because no board seeing how poorly their team is performing due to some absent by key players in the team like Reece James, chilwel and Kante then having to play Manchester city twice will they give such matches as the only option left to save your job. Do we know how much in settlement we'll have to pay Graham Potter if he was to be sacked, that guy is on a long term partnership already and if the board didn't want o believe in his building process they wontyhave given him such contract.

I also don't like clubs run on Arab oil money. PSG and Manchester City can't win the Champions League despite spending a lot of money. But Newcastle's case is completely different. Newcastle's owner is very rich. But Newcastle is doing well without any star players. And consistently they are performing well. The team was close to the relegation zone last season and struggled to qualify for the Premier League. I will be happy if they are able to qualify for the Champions League.
Why? is not it a club that runs by billionaire will be so good? it has proven that if city has been making so many progress. that was making city was able to survive till now.Don't you know that what consortium meant? It looks very weird caused by you didn't even know if it has been running by consortium which has been formed by some crazy rich business from arab. That means if newcastle was also the same like PSG and city.
The things that repeated again to the newcastle and it has the same case like manchester city when the club acquired by billionaire and then there have been many imprvements happened
Yeah right, what's the problem when a club has an Arab owner? I think it's not a problem one bit. They can even compete, although there may be some jealousy from long-established clubs that don't do well financially. But this is part of a mutually beneficial business so we will continue to see things like this in football.
Clubs that have wealthy owners are indeed superior in recruiting star players, that will be difficult for other clubs that do not have the same fate. But when it comes to how they work with the money they have, it's up to them, whether they can make good use of it or not.

Chelsea did the right thing by sacking Lampard but where it seems they made a mistakes is by sacking Thomas Tuchel. Lampard wasn't ready for management and especially not a top club like Chelsea at that early stage of his career. Maybe they thought they could get some fairy tale kind of story from the decision of hiring him but it didn't end so well and he needed to be sacked so as to bring a better manager which succeeded very well.

Even now Lampard isn't doing very well for himself irrespective of him been degraded to clubs of his level of management yet he's yet to get the team going. Everton are performing badly and all that is because of the poor management Lampard has at this stage of his career. Maybe in future things will change but for now Lampard isn't suitable to manage any big club especially not at top levels of the premier league.
I agree with your opinion about Chelsea decision sacking Frank Lampard and Thomas Tuchel as replacement success give UEFA Champion League trophy for the first season his debut, but after Roman Abramovich sell Chelsea to the new owner seems not give opportunity for Thomas Tuchel keep extended for longer time before sacking and replace by Graham Potter.

If Mbappé wins the Champions League, he will be the most qualified for the Ballon d'Or title, having won the Golden boat at the just concluded World Cup. Although, if PSG wins the CL, Messi will still be his strongest Contender for the title. Moving to Madrid will be the best for Mbappé, there he will have higher chances of winning the Champions League and winning the Ballon d'Or title unopposed.

Are you that sure, i don't think so. because after all, Haaland's performance is much better than Mbappe. after all, in the Qatar world cup the player who performed the best and always appeared stable was, Antonie Griezmann, you can review it from France's statistics during the Qatar world cup.

Mbappe earned a hat-trick in the final, two of his goals from the penalty spot. even then, thanks to the contribution of Marcus Thuram. and if PSG win the Champions League this season, the closest contender for the Balon D'Or will be Messi. Messi's performance this season has always been impressive, both in the Domestic League and the Champions League. however, if it turns out that the one who won the Champions League is Manchester City. I'm sure Haaland will be the winner of the Ballon D'Or later. after all, the PSG vs Bayern Munich game hasn't started yet. we don't even know which team will win the game. what is certain, both PSG and Bayern Munich both have the chance to qualify for the next phase.
Mbappe's hat-trick in the FIFA World Cup final game is truly remarkable. Mbappe is a smart and efficient striker. If he keeps his performance like this, he will become a great player in the future.

It will undoubtedly be so, but as long as he remains with an attitude of superiority, he will not be able to do well, the shadow of failure will always haunt him if he does not improve some aspects of his personality, including being somewhat more humble, not putting or removing players because he is not no technical director and that he learns that a club cannot revolve around him, he always wants to excel and by all means, the bad thing is that he does it in a not very pleasant way, maybe that was what he lacked for win the world cup, show more humility, than if Messi has plenty, he is a player who does not get into where he should not.

As it stands now, one is not wrong to say that Real Madrid is the champion league's most successful club. They have all it takes to prove their strength in any UCL match, but at the same time, this does not in any way tag them as "the champion league unbeatable". Chelsea was not England's best team last season, but they defeated them. I wouldn't say that Tuchel's boys that won the champion league last season is better than the present Liverpool squad, so for that, I believe Real and Liverpool still have equal proximity to the next round.
The distance is indeed the same for the next round, but the strength is very different between Real Madrid and Liverpool this season. Liverpool still have to improve their squad and how to play better before meeting Real Madrid in the Champions League. Because I see Liverpool being very inconsistent in the Premier League this season so Liverpool will get a difficult match for them in the Champions League if in the near future the Liverpool team doesn't make improvements to a better strategy.
Jurgen Klopp's task is to bring Liverpool to be better prepared to face the team that always stops them in the Champions League, Real Madrid. Players from Liverpool should be more motivated now to keep them from being knocked out by Real Madrid all the time. A very tough task, yes of course it is a tough task. Apart from that they are in a bad condition, their opponent is Real Madrid, we know how El Real is doing in the Champions League.

I am a fan of Real Madrid, and not because I am a fan of Real Madrid I am not going to speak well of Liverpool, because Liverpool has a great team, that every technical director would like to have in their squad, however some players like Mo Salah must take what The best they have, I would demand a lot from him instead of Klopp, because he is an icon for that team and I think he would make the whole team play based on him, he is a striker who scores goals, if you give Salah a chance, He scores a goal for you, regardless of the category of the other team, it can be Real Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern, City, any team the player is capable of spoiling the party even playing as a visitor, so the opportunity that Klopp has for now is very good, and they were asking for it, it depends only on them.

Nor can we forget that some of Liverpool's stars are free agents:

expiring Chelsea stars N’golo Kante, Jorginho and Thiago Silva, Liverpool forward Roberto Firmino and Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea among free agents in summer as are Lionel Messi, Karim Benzema and Luka Modric

Quote
While millions will be spent by clubs across Europe on shoring up their teams for the second half of the season, many will be spending just as much effort in the free agent market.

For players, it can also prove to be more lucrative in terms of signing on fees and wages as clubs do not have to splash out on transfer fees.

Here talkSPORT.com looks at some of the biggest names who will become free agents in the summer.

Newcastle are showing a great game this season and given the problems of the competitors, their chances of getting into the top 4 are very high, I think they are favorites against Tottenham/Liverpool/Chelsea.
Now I will root also for Newcastle (although I do not like oil clubs) - I really want to see Ronaldo's epic return to Europe plus a strong new club in the Champions League.
I also don't like clubs run on Arab oil money. PSG and Manchester City can't win the Champions League despite spending a lot of money. But Newcastle's case is completely different. Just having money is not enough for winning trophies in UEFA because as we all know right now few top UEFA clubs under ownership of rich Arabs, but sadly they are not able to win this prestigious trophy Champions League because this all needs something more than money like passion and dedication which is also helpful for having good results in this competition now Newcastle United is also having same winning pattern with most chances they could be also in Champions League in next season which will create good fight for the title between these rich Arabs but still things are not easy as now Manchester United and Barcelona are also doing good job with Juventus squad is also having good strength for the fight into this competition.
