Barcelona needs to get rid of the veterans like Busquets and Pique. They did a great job in the last 10 years for the club, but they can't maintain their top performance from 10 years ago. Barcelona needs more physical strength in the middle. Pedri is a really talented player, but he's short and skinny. Keeping Lewandowski and Dembele for the next season is crucial.

They are regenerating, they need time. The blackness of Xavi, Inesta and Messi gave Barcelona a hard time. Only Busquet and Pique were left at this time. Pedri is a good player but he needs a lot of hours to play.
This failure can certainly illustrate that Barcelona's glory is still not back. Xavi has not been able to make Barcelona great again. Next is the European cup, Xavi must maximize the results in the Europa League. Maybe they should be champions so that fans don't get disappointed.

Ajax is bad this year. Not only bad but also in a difficult group. Napoli are in great form this year and it is no surprise that they are leading the group.
Club brugge suffered their first defeat in the group at home against porto. This win opened the door for porto for the last 16.  Atletico madrid and leverkusen will compete for Europa.

There is nothing surprising in the fact that the results of Ajax fell - several key players plus the head coach left the club. Such is the fate of all poor clubs that show themselves very brightly.
A rather ridiculous situation happened with Brugge - even after suffering a crushing defeat, they guaranteed themselves access to the next round due to a draw in a parallel game where Atlético and Bayer deprived each other of the chances for the playoffs. I think that Atlético will get into the Europa League and there will be super competition for the title.

I don't know why Barcelona sold Aybameyang, maybe because of the financial difficulties the Catalonian club is facing. Aybameyang and Lewandowski would have been a great attacking duo.
I'm also sad that Atletico Madrid missed the chance to win against Leverkusen. That missed penalty at the end was ridiculous.

UCL this season, we see many big names knocked out earlier in the group stage. Starting from Juventus, Barcelona, and Atletico Madrid. I'm not that surprised to see Juventus knocked out from the group stage because their performance is indeed bad in Serie A as well as in UCL. While Barcelona and Atletico Madrid are bit different as they are good enough in LaLiga but they cant show their best in UCL. From these 3 knocked teams, Barcelona has qualified to Europa League already while Juventus and Atletico Madrid still need to play the last match in the group stage and win the match in order to qualify tor Europa League. It will be silly if both team fails to qualify.
Being big clubs is not a guarantee for them to beat other clubs. If they can not win enough, they will habe to accept lower rankings in their groups. From Barcelona to Athletico Madrid and Juventus, I don't feel regret for them because their general performances are bad.

Athletico Madrid looks to have better performance than Barcelona and Juventus but they did not play well enough. Like in the yesterday match, they struggled to beat Leverkusen and even got a golden penalty in 90+5 min, they wasted it.

Look at it in another perspective, these clubs will make Europa League more exciting. At least they will still have chance to win Europa League title. In Champions League, they nearly have no chance to be frankly said.

Yup, Barcelona had to go European Cup, the defeat at Cam Nou made the points gap with inter unable to be chased anymore. Inter have ten points while Barcelona are only four. Although there is still one match it will not be a impact anymore.
Bad history repeats, Xavi seems to have a headache with this state.

Barcelona's journey in the Champions League was really bad. out of 5 matches, they only won 1 time. Indeed, Barcelona is in the hard group where there are Bayern and also Inter. but this should be a means of proving that Xavi and his club are a giant club. but it looks like it's over. Even in the Europa League, whether they are able to take advantage of this opportunity to bring the trophy or not. Because there are also several big clubs that are currently very on fire.

For the second time Barcelona failed to qualify from the group stage in a row, being in the hell group made Barcelona experience difficulties in Five matches. One game remaining does not have any impact for Barcelona, winning a victory in the final match of the group stage will not change the situation, Barcelona has certainly been knocked out of the Champions League.
The impressive performances shown in La Liga cannot be continued in the UCL, Barcelona are still having difficulties facing Bayern Munich and Inter. Barcelona must learn from this failure, Xavi must not make the same mistake in the Europa League.
More counts are coming for them not to qualify from the group stage, they had depended for too long on Messi, so his leaving the club has not been fully countered. They need more quality players to get this done and Bayern Munich has once again shown them the supreme. The club deserve the win as they showed their dominance from the beginning to the end of the game.
What a flawless victory Bayern gave Barca yesterday, Bayerns used through passes to weaken Barca's defense and scored two goals in the first half,Mane scored first with a marvelous finishing from a through pass he got from Gnabry. Gnabry did a great assist in the game,he was the one that passed the ball to Pavard who wrapped the the match with the last goal at the 95th minutes to end 3-0 against Barca.

Barca is not fit for Bayern in football, from the history of matches played,Bayern has won Barca 9 matches out of 12 champion league matches. Barca has lost five straight matches to Bayern in UCL.

Marvelous is the right word for Mane's goal. Actually, that was the Mane we all know from Liverpool. The goal was absolutely brilliant. But to be honest, the service by Gnabry was insane! Cheesy I am not sure how often out of 10 times he would place that ball exactly where Mane was able to touch it first. A genius cooperation and timing between the two. I hope that Mane can now more often show his real quality. His speed was good as well. He seemed a bit slow to me the past weeks.

In total, I didn't expect Barcelona to give away the game that way even though they were already aware they couldn't make it anymore into the final round. But losing 0-3 that way is a bit too much for my taste.

Old habits dies hard it seems. Lewa went straight to Bayern locker room after the game ended in order to change some words with his ex-teammates but I think he should have moved further and be on his way to Barca locker room and try to motivate them because they just lost and moved into Europa League for 2nd time in a row...Sad. Lewa is a great player but he needs more support from his team because age won't wait for him any longer...

I didn't see this live match until the end but indeed, it was very visible from the face of Lewandowski who was so disappointed even more so when Lewandowski was ready to take a penalty kick. But in the end the referee decided it wasn't a foul after seeing the VAR, so the penalty for Barcelona and the yellow card for de Ligt were cancelled. Lewandowski was really very emotional in this match but he was able to hold it or close it because after all, joining Barcelona was also his choice so Lewandowski had to be ready to accept the risk.

But apart from Lewandowski's disappointment and of course for the whole Barcelona team, I personally think that Barcelona do need a better coach. Because if I consider the quality of players, basically Barcelona have above average quality players, if Barcelona is coached by an exact coach then I think the strategy and player rotation that is applied will give a good final result for Barcelona as well.
You're right, I believe it's time for management to stop showing Xavi any respect and take necessary action by firing him. It is clear that he is unable to guide the team to any success. Barcelona's reputation is fading daily. It is inappropriate for such a club. Let the management get  a new manager as soon as we can. Barcelona is now not on the same level as Bayern Munich, I never thought they could beat Bayern Munich.

Lawandosky, meanwhile, decided where to go. He ought to be used to it by now. Not even him can save Barcelona.

Doesn't look good for FC Barcelona against FC Bayern. A clear defeat last night just as in the five games before. The statistics are crushing: 6 losses and only 4 goals against Bayern. Can't get worse.

Quote
The last 6 games between Bayern and Barcelona:

Shots:
Bayern - 99
Barça - 52

Shots on target:
Bayern - 45
Barça - 15

Goals:

Wins:

Barça - 0

And especially Robert Lewandowski, who left FC Bayern last summer to join FC Barcelona:

I wonder if this is what he had in mind when he made the transfer. I don't think so.  Cheesy

We have 12 qualified teams before the last round which is quite disappointing - the final round will be mostly played for EL qualifications and will lack any excitement.

The only interesting group is group D, where all of the teams are inside 2 points and all of them can secure the knockouts or be left without European football.
Tottenham and Sporting do have a slight advantage, but that group will be interesting to track live and these are the games I'll be watching.

Porto win and got 3 points in this match, congrats sir because you rooting for Porto to win I think you also bet on that match, the score is also very great 0-4. Porto and Club Brugge qualify for the top 16, because the result of match Atletico Madrid ended in a draw, and with that draw they can't press again situation in group.

By the way, the most interesting next matches in group D, the 4 clubs still have a chance to qualify. Very interesting to watch later on matchday 6, I personally favorite Tottenham and Eintracht Frankfurt to qualify. What is your opinion about group D?
Group D is currently the most exciting of all. 1st place Tottenham with 8 points after an extreme overtime yesterday and a not given goal by kane in minute 95 and a red card for trainer Conte. Eintracht Frankfurt with a strong game yesterday against Marseille, it was the first Champions League home win in the club's history. Lissabon with 7 pionts and last one Marseille with 6 points. That means every Team can win the group at the last matchday, crazy.

Big disappointment for Barcelona and probably Lewandowski's haters (I am sure there are some) would be glad. Not only he failed to help Barcelona fight in UCL, but now Bayern may say "we are fine without him".
150mln, transfers, coach change... Very big PR failure for Barcelona. And they need 650mln for salaries!

I think they deserve what they got, the coach was too ambitious and lack the experience to lead such a prestigious club. You can't be spending as much as Barcelona did in the transfer window when you're bankrupt with just hopes of winning trophies at the end of the season to bring in some fund to cover-up. Barcelona were competing with the likes of Chelsea in the transfer window and made them look like a small club, stealing away all their transfer targets now look at where they have landed themselves.

Xavier would had thought twice before all the big singing he did. If I was part of the Barcelona board, I'll be advocating for his sack immediately. There's also a chance they won't win the La Liga trophy this season as Real Madrid aren't letting that slide. Barcelona can now focus on a league that suits them which is the Europa league. Atleast Luwadusaksi stands to benefit as he can continue his goal scoring against clubs of same level.

Barcelona president Joan Laporta has given his views on the 3-0 loss to Bayern Munich and their early exit from the Champions League competition this season.

Laporta emphasized that the team that was beaten by Bayern Munich in the 5th round of Group C was a team consisting of young players who were part of Xavi Hernandez's long-term project.

However, is this an excuse because they have been humiliated in front of the fans at Camp Nou. I think the statement from Laporta is true if we look at Barca's squad this season, which contains a lot of young players, which Xavi targets to become mature players in a few years, so there is no need to blame anyone for the defeat.

~snip~
Real Madrid lost yesterday to Leipzig, the match was incredible, the way Leipzig team played Real Madrid with courage and confidence scoring two goals in the first 18 minutes of the match. This kept Real Madrid unbalanced and is the first team to win them this season This is the second time Leipzig is winning their three straight matches in the group stage.

A brilliant PK by Rodrygo at the 94th minutes which ended the match at 3-2 lost.
This is a surprise. Even from the start I was sure that as bad as Madrid played they would get at least one point. But this result is unlikely to have much effect on Madrid's passage to the knockout phase, as Madrid have ten points that Shaktar is unlikely to beat. As bad as Madrid are they will end up in second place. Benzema's absence and Madrid's poor defence were the mistakes that cost them.

yes The defeat to Bayern Munich made Barcelona and coach Xavi Hernandez carve a negative record in the club's history in the Champions League. because this is the first time Barcelona have been knocked out of the Champions League group stage back-to-back or two seasons in a row. The last time that happened was in the 1997-98 and 1998-99 editions under Louis Van Gaal.
Very sad indeed, because Barcelona was not able to give their best in the Champions League group phase this season, as well as last season. Actually, when Inter Milan won yesterday against Viktoria Plzen, Barcelona's position was also eliminated to go to the next round, coupled with Barcelona who lost at home against Bayern Munich, it was clear that Barcelona had to go home disappointed and forget about Champions League this season.

It looked as is if Xavi had already known the outcome of the game but still had to put up a fight which from my standpoint looked weak at best.
Bayern were calling all the shots last night and I just couldn't relate the Barca who walloped athletic Bilbao 4-0 been treated like young school boys last night.
It was a case of "we came, we were beaten, and we're been sent to Europa" for them. Let's hope they can survive in the round of 16 then.

My prediction is right Barcelona will not qualify for the next round because it's too hard for them to chase more points, actually when Inter Milan have beat Barcelona on the previous match, that's when I predicted Barcelona will not qualify for the top 16 clubs. I think after Messi left, Barcelona is completely different with the old Barcelona even though Lewandowski have been joined. They still not get a good player who can replace Messi position.
