Bayern defeated them with what they have been using for years."Robust football". They know Barcelona will want to play around for entertainment. But in the second half, Bayern ran at them and got the ball more. Barcelona style is sweet at the moment but I doubt if it will give them any glory outside la Liga if they don't hard much intensity.
Record is always repeating itself despite stealing Lewandowski from them. Now the battle for the second is between Barcelona and Inzaghi, who evers settles in the coming home and away game, take the lead. Salzburg is a really solid team in the champions league and are better each year. But Chelsea must win this game because they are in a really bad position and this win could pull them back to try and fight to pass this group. Is it not Salzburg of Slovenia? It is. The clubs I mostly respect in Champions League always come from Premier League, Seria A, Bundesliga, La Liga and Lique 1. I always put others, like top leagues in Portugal, Netherlands and others under the assumption that they might try. Salzburg is good but that should not be against Chelsea. I hope Chelsea players would not disappoint their fans today. 
It was a really interesting day in the Champions League. Barcelona were the better side especially in the first half but the second half was way different. Bayern Munich made the score 2-0 in only four minutes. I still don't understand how Barcelona couldn't score even one goal despite having so many goal opportunities. Lewandowski was so ineffective this time and I wonder if it was related to playing against his old team. I had big hopes about Barcelona after making a progress under Xavi's management. Let's see if they will have their revenge in Camp Nou.
Actually, Barcelona's game in this match was quite dominant, especially in the first half, but unfortunately their game was not very well organized. Many of the opportunities they get are just wasted. But in the second half El Barca's game was so chaotic, that Bayern immediately punished them. I see there are some technical things that Xavi needs to improve immediately, up front, Raphinha is not very effective, he is too hasty in opening shots, so Lewandowski's role is not very visible. Then the midfield also didn't look very creative and the most chaotic in defence, Christensen and Araujo were really very fragile in the second half, making it very easy for the Munich attack to penetrate. I believe this defeat is an important note for Xavi to immediately fix his squad.

I haven't seen Lewandowski showing this much bad performance since the beginning of the season. Actually he was really trying but he was so bad at finishing. Especially one of his attempts was an absolute goal chance but the ball went right above the upper goal post. Pedri also had a very clear opportunity but he targeted the goal post after a great give and go. Bayern Munich were as usual. The first goal helped them start playing better and the second one came very quickly. Barcelona are still very unlucky against them but I hope they will win the game in Camp Nou.
I watched most of the matches from Lewandowski in the last few years as i watched most Bayern matches and i have to say that it is not that unusual that Lewandowski is wasting a few of those very big chances in a match, as this has happened many times before in his career. He is so good with positioning and anticipation that he usually gets a lot of chances to score and most of the time he makes at least one of those chances count.
Yesterday though it was different. The shot that you mentioned should have been a goal i agree, but his other chances were not that big. Pedri's chance was way bigger though in my opinion and i think Lewandowski would have made that one.

How Barcelona became strong in laliga this season by winning all their match and with Lewandowski as a key player who always score goals in every match it seems impossible for Bayer Munich to defeat Barcelona because Bayern Munich have been struggling to do better than playing draws. I was having hope on Lewandowski to score goals like just like every match in laliga. Bayern Munich victory means Bayer Munich is stronger that Barcelona in the UCL, I just hope Barcelona lose was a mistake and not something real that can happen again.

but if you look at the game stats, the two are quite balanced. Tottenham also had 12 shots, meaning they didn't just last the longest. it's just that they only take advantage of opportunities when Sporting attacks.

It is unlikely that Conte wanted to draw this match, knowing the ambitions of this coach, he certainly wanted to win. He just chose a cautious defensive tactic, because he understood that Sporting was a difficult opponent at home. It's a shame to lose the match in the last minutes, the match was statistically equal, I didn't manage to watch it, but if the team concedes twice after 90 minutes, then this is a loss of concentration.

Both Goalgetter are played not good in the game. Lewandoski and Mane didn't have a good day, they must have been stressing a lot because it was a very important game. Both of them didn't perform well. That's why other players were able to show themselves, and at FC Bayern there were many who played really good. Musiala played so nice, he didn't score a goal, but he was involved in both and won many duels.
ATL.Madrid confirm that they are in a decline since last year and Leverkusen is a team that is on a rise in the last 2 years so it was kinda normal and expected to see Leverkusen winning and scoring and I think they might finish on 2nd place on their group stage. Porto had an awful night and I don't think this team has the necessary squad in order to 3rd place in that group and Brugge looks way more capable of doing that.
But if in the third round Atletico can win against Club Brugge, then of course the competition will be tougher because maybe there will be three teams who will have 6 points. But if Club Brugge can beat Aletico in the third round, then I will also confidently say that Club Brugge will be the group winners. But for now anything can happen and maybe the third round will be decisive, because only in that round is the chance for Atletico to stop Club Brugge from having a wider points gap. 
Odds for Juventus is just so attractive to bet, it is around 2.20. It means that Juventus is not that favorite in this match, perhaps it is because their overall result in all competition this season. Juventus is still unable to show the best performance because of too many injured main players. Allegri is still struggling hard to find the best lineup because of this situation. He has no other choices than using some young unexperienced players if most of the main players are still in injury. Juventus have to win this match if they want to stay longer in this competition, otherwise it will be harder for them to face the remaining matches in the group stage.
We still hope they play an attractive game tonight even not many core players are inside, Juventus play at home also which of course will get much support from fans. I was expecting the Liverpool win. They needed this improvement in their performance after all those poor games. They had a good past against Ajax as well. Despite Liverpool's dominance Ajax still did a good job with the chances they found. Kudus scored an incredible goal and Alisson had just nothing to do about it. Salah finally scored and this would be a help for him to improve his effort. Ajax were nearly going to get one point actually despite being under pressure but they couldn't prevent the winning goal in the last minutes.

I thought Barcelona performed pretty well. It's a pity that their opportunity failed to be taken advantage of to make a goal. In addition, I see, if Lewandowski has at least more than two opportunities that have failed to be seized. It seems that the Bayern Munich defenders have memorized how to stop Lewandowski. Barca and Bayern Munich's statistics are quite evenly matched. They are no less crushing, Barcelona is actually pretty good. Xavi this time failed to break bayern Munich winning record.
