Especially if we know a challenging fact that in history of Champions League, only Real Madrid successfully protected their Champions League titles and they did it two times. Other clubs failed to defend their titles and Manchester City will be a second club can do it if they win Champions League in a new season.
You are right, so far since 2000 only Real Madrid has successfully defended its title or won it three times in a row, while other clubs have only done it once and it took several seasons to be champions again.
Seeing the strength of Manchester City, it's understandable why many predict that this club from the English Premier League will be able to defend their title this season in the Champions League tournament, how can they currently be said to be quite complete on all fronts, on the front there is Haaland who is predicted to be a striker who shines this season and they also just bought at a high price a defender who is also said to be the best at the moment, but the problem is when they continue to strengthen their team other clubs also do the same thing because they also want to get achievements and every season there will be surprises and differences in the competition, so it will not be easy for Manchester City to defend their title, if they make it to the final it will be extraordinary, but being a champion in UCL and even managing to defend their treble winner is not an easy job.

Arsenal are a tough competitor in the Premier League next season and I admit that. But anyway I'm not going to lie about wanting that Manchester City will still remain the favorites in the Premier League next season. Arsenal can certainly threaten at any time, but I hope Manchester City doesn't make too many mistakes in their quest to win 4 titles in 4 consecutive seasons.
Arsenal got some good results from summer pre-season matches that are good signals of their improvements and readiness to start a new season with more ambitious targets. To win titles, they will have to beat many competitors, not only Manchester City. Other big clubs like Liverpool, Chelsea, Manchester United and Newcastle United will not let Premier League race becomes a dual race between Arsenal and Manchester City.

Simply because Manchester City won a treble title last season, will it make them repeat the same by next season by making it 4 titles instead to prove their supremacy over all the league match they are involved in? Manchester City is undoubtedly a talented football team, but we shouldn't assume that just because they shocked the world by winning a treble trophy, all the league titles are now theirs. Has Manchester United, who won the treble trophies years ago, done it again? Having said that, I don't believe Manchester City will have another season as successful as the previous one in terms of winning a treble trophy in a season.
If since 1999 season, only one more club can be a treble winner after Manchester United, it is very impossible for Manchester City to repeat it in a coming season. They can either win Premier League or Champions League or FA Cup but winning treble titles again is very unrealistic.

Especially if we know a challenging fact that in history of Champions League, only Real Madrid successfully protected their Champions League titles and they did it two times. Other clubs failed to defend their titles and Manchester City will be a second club can do it if they win Champions League in a new season.

The Arsenal team will have to prepare themselves against the Manchester City side. When the team is able to defeat Manchester City, it will be understood that this team is ready to do well in the Champions League. We haven't seen any great performances from Arsenal team for the past few seasons.
The result can be known easily without even seeing the match. Manchester city is over power right now. Pep just need to use its best squad against manchester city and we will able to see the good result from city to get its first trophy this season.
There are so many psywar is going on right now from arsenal and manchester city. Arsenal can at least give a tough game against city but i guess if havertz gonna be useless on that match.

I expect nothing from him rather than being a lazy player. Gabriel was injured. There's no good striker to replace him at this moment.

Manchester City are continuing to strengthen their squad even more by new transfers. Gvardiol is set to sign for them officially and I have no doubt it won't take him much time to take his place in the starting lineup. He is a very talented young defender who deserves to play at the highest level now. No need to be surprised about why Leipzig wanted around 100 million euros for him.  Smiley

They don't need to make big changes in their starting lineup of course. But small touches like this can be really important to maintain success. But despite being an absolute favourite this is still the Champions League where it isn't easy to become champions repeatedly.

Well  I suppose I get your point and I also feel the same way for the gunners moreover their Europa league participation last season shows that they are really amateur when it's comes to participating with Europe top teams as they are basically knock out by a sporting CP team everyone taught will be an easy game for them. Last season performance was one of their very best now for more than a decade but it wasn't when it came to their European competition. I just hope they manage to put things in order and play well in this season champion league or group stage will be their last bus stop.

Disappointing exit from the European Competition for the Emirates. I wouldn't blame it on any one not even the coach. Most at times you have to fail before you rise also, you have to take a step backwards before you advance forward.
Arsenal in the Premier League in particular has a wonderful season but the lack of depth of good player's made em lose out on winning the Premier League. I didn't see too much of them games they played in the Europa League but they was superb.

They must have learnt the valuable lessons, now it's time for them to bounce back and get what they missed last season. They have a chance for the Premier League. But best believe, they're not going nowhere close the Champions League trophy.

And Manchester City, They're defending Champions on the Champions League, they'll do all they can to defend the  Competition next session. But they ain't winning shit.

Don't just look at Arsenal and Manchester City for next season because the other teams, especially the favourites, will be their rivals too. As we have seen with Chelsea and others, Chelsea and other big teams have had changes in the game and also the players and it will be great competition and a strong force in all competitions for the big teams.
Manchester City is indeed a very good team from all sides, but no matter how good the team is, over time their games and tactics will be easy for other teams to read.
At least Manchester City can still be expected as one of the best favorites for the next few seasons. I tend to say it's because of Pep Guardiola's influence, but if Manchester City are no longer coached by Pep Guardiola then I'm sure they won't be as strong as they are now.

I agree that other teams will compete as best they can for the title, but because of the quality and form of Manchester City so far I don't think the other teams have a big chance to win the title. Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United will try their best for themselves, but we have already seen how great Manchester City under Pep Guardiola where is he have dominated the Premier League.
Manchester City is quite a big team that has done well over time, and with their present coach Guardiola, they still remain favourite to the premier league tittle, but it will really be a great shame if they should allow them win it again,We have great coaches in the premier league that would have tried their possible best to strip him off that tittle, but it seems the more they try,the stronger Pep's team becomes.I think the manager that is going to be under pressure this coming season is Mikel Arteta because he was very close to the tittle last season, but he ended up given it to city, and because of that,he has reinvested in the squad this season, bringing in three marquee signings in Jurien Timber,Karl Harvetz, and Declan Rice, and these are three signings that Mikel believes can make him win city. But from their preseason games,I don't see them to be very strong despite those signings, rather I see Chelsea to be a team that will surprise people this season.

Arteta is just looking for the right formula for his players, because now Arteta already has many options to rotate players in his main squad, hopefully he can be consistent until the end of the season.

Not sure what other formula you can expect from Arteta next season, but I think he has prepared a good strategy for his team based on needs. Arteta has a sufficient stock of players in his squad list for next season, but regarding performance issues, of course it won't be guaranteed to be as good as expected.

Arsenal not only have a large number of players in their squad because the most important thing is, Arsenal are trying to have the main players and second-tier players at least have a quality that is not much different. Because only then, Arsenal will be able to play consistently even though Arteta rotates players to do better in the Champions League and of course in the Premier League too. But even so, I personally still unsure for Arsenal in the Champions League, even though Arsenal chance to qualify for the round of 16 is still very possible. But still, to go further up to the semi-finals I think the chances for Arsenal are still very low.
That makes a lot of sense because if Arsenal have almost the same second-tier players, Arteta will set up strategy to use the main players in the Champions League as well as the tier players to use for Premiere League match.
So that the main players can focus more on champions league matches and Arteta can maintain the physicality of the players to avoid injury.
Even though the chances of qualifying for the last 16 are a bit small, at least if Arteta is able to maintain the performance of his players I believe these opportunities can increase and qualify for the final.
Maybe there are still many who doubt the quality of Arsenal's players, but for me I am quite sure that this reliable coach can bring Arsenal to the title they have always wanted.

I don't think there are many doubts about Arsenal's real quality, they have enough first-level players to be able to easily aspire to win the Premier League, and last season is the most striking example of this, but if the coach wants to aspire to more ambitious trophies such as the champions league, he will have to know how to best manage the forces between the league and the cup, unfortunately every mistake in the champions is expensive, but I also think that for Arsenal it shouldn't be an insurmountable obstacle to be able to reach the round of 16, the team is strong and they can do it

Pep Guardiola should be mentioned for Manchester City. He is a coach who tactically considers many alternatives. Considering the chemistry between Manchester City players, I think they are still the best team. Chelsea is a team of new players and it will only be understood when the league starts how successful they can be.
I also don't talk about Chelsea too much because they won't be in the Champions League next season. Chelsea can be expected to appear in the 2024-2025 Champions League if Pochettino manages to end his first season in the top 4. Regarding Pep Guardiola, of course not many people want to doubt the ability and technical and tactical qualities that he has as a coach. His Manchester City has really become a frightening club in Europe and so far Pep Guardiola has managed to bring Manchester City as one of the best in Europe.

After Pep Guardiola managed to win first Champions League title for Manchester City, then of course they will be expected to defend that title from next season. The chances are good, but only if Pep can keep Manchester City's form the same or improve it further next season. But imo, the new season is a new challenge and it will never be the same.

for Arsenal performance, I have no doubt that this summer Arsenal has had a very good performance and has improved very much, but to be successful in the champions league, I think I am a little doubtful. because Arsenal have to get past rival teams like Man City who are currently in a very strong state and also Real Madrid who are currently aiming hard to win the title after failing last season.
so its not easy for Arsenal to have to go through this big team and if they fail again to get the title this season I think the mistake is the strategy used by the coach himself.
It would be more realistic for Arsenal to have the ambition to win the EPL trophy next season, but it does not rule out the possibility for Arsenal to go further in the European Champions League. regardless of the current posh squad, the biggest luck if they do not join the group of hell. This will automatically ease their steps to advance to the next round.

Sometimes all predictions can be reversed, we will wait for how this squad will rise to win the championship trophy that failed last season.
Compared to Arsenal, Manchester City is far ahead in terms of performance. I think Manchester City will be Arsenal's arch-rivals this season and a great problem going forward. The Arsenal team will have to work incredibly hard and use great tactics to beat a team like Manchester City.
Don't just look at Arsenal and Manchester City for next season because the other teams, especially the favourites, will be their rivals too. As we have seen with Chelsea and others, Chelsea and other big teams have had changes in the game and also the players and it will be great competition and a strong force in all competitions for the big teams.

Arsenal made a big progress in the previous season. Despite being a team full of young players they competed really hard for the Premier League title. Arteta has his system working really well now. He will need to transfer the same thing to the Champions League as well. I know this is a different environment so they will need to play extra careful.
Arsenal really surprised us all last season they played more than expectation. Arteta really transformed the team even without signing big money players they fought really hard till the end but unfortunately they couldn’t keep because of injuries and lack of squad depth. Lets just hope they can bring the same spirit as last seasons to the champions league this coming season. There has been a lot of changes in the squad especially in the midfield that is the heart of the team so i hope they can have similar performance as last season because some players needs time to adapt so i hope the new players blend in perfectly as soon as possible.

The more I look at Arsenal, the more I see hope because of what they display last season and I think we are making another history of Arsene Winger in the Premier League but thos time, we are not winning only the English Premier League, we are also coming for the Champions League no matter how they be liitle our effort because Areteta is the only team that has come close to greatest of all time Managers Arsenal ever had in a single season, there is more to unwrapped this season.

I'm afraid to say that Midfieders are not the number one priority Arsenal need to reshuffle, they need to solidify their Forward once more, they wouldn't survive with Nketiah for long and Godforbid, it will be a heartache if Nketiah have injury, that is what some other oppenents may look on and if Arsenal becomes the leader in their group stage or after round of 16, there will be such kind of temptations from other teams, Arteta need to work on that aspects.
Looking at the current Arsenal team set up and how well they've been playing beautiful football in their preseason games, it is safe to say that they'll definitely have a good campaign in the UEFA Champions League competition next season.
But I think the club needs to strengthen some vital positions at the club especially the top striking position. Gabriel Jesus and Nketiah are their current first team strikers which o think isn't enough for a club like Arsenal. They should get more attacking minded players before the  end of the transfer window

Group stages are still long way to go and I believe that we are going to have to wait for the teams to play a bit in their own leagues to see how the real good ones are. But even group stages doesn't really show which one will be the best.

It shows which ones will be getting a good start, but looking at City last season, they started not that great at the league, and wasn't leading at all, and then they won both the league and the UCL title at the same time. Which is why it is going to take a while to see how the teams are. Even on the last minutes, it is not easy, like their Real Madrid game, nobody guessed they would win 4-0 comfortably, everyone thought it would be closer than that even if they managed to win.

Klopp has also complained about Saudi Arabia teams' signing whatever player they would like without any restrictions. He said that UEFA need to find a solution for this problem.

I agree with him completely because this is just making European teams be in a really tough situation. There has been a rumour like UEFA are planning to accept Saudi Arabia teams into their organizations as well. This can actually work well for this topic as well. In this situation those teams will also have to manage their finances under FFP rules of the organizations they will participate in. This can at least help European teams start to become more effective in making transfers.

I had no idea who is Rasmus so I had to search about him and it looks like a bright future talent for United and I'm sure he won't behave like Greenwood did but Atalanta lost quite a striker right ? I think their next season in Serie A won't be as great as the last ones , however , for United , this should be a good transfer and let's hope he will score a lot of goals and will lead United towards top 3 once again as I don't have faith this team can win Premier League against City and Arsenal.  Cool

Likewise, I don't have much information about players who have careers in Serie A, but the fact is that we can find various information related to this player from Denmark. I tried to research this striker from Atalanta, both from data and statistics and based on the highlights of several matches he played with Atalanta.
To be honest, even though my assessment is not basic enough, I don't see this player as having the privileges of the strikers who are currently in demand. it's just that this player has a little plus from Ten Hag's point of view compared to other players. at the very least, she was still very young, had the potential to grow a lot, was easy to manage, and already knew and agreed to what the Ten Hag wanted from her. that's why, Ten Hag prefer him over other strikers. moreover, he only has limited budget funds for the upcoming players he is eyeing in this summer transfer window.

Now, The Red Devils have another player who plays as a center forward. so, Ten Hag doesn't have to rely only on Marcus Rashford. moreover, to rely on Martial. well, let's see how he played his game with United. if, this Hojlund can follow the system implemented by Ten Hag. I'm pretty sure he can be counted on to be a goalscorer for The Red Devils. or at least, he will do the hard work and contribute with his new squad. theoretically, United should have moved up one notch, better than last season. but what is certain, let's see when they play match after match after the Domestic League and Champions League competitions have been rolled out.
