Even though their match yesterday ended in a draw, in my opinion it wasn't because Manchester City were bad, but they had shown their best in yesterday's match, it's just that the one they were playing against was Real Madrid, which is a strong and experienced team, many Real Madrid fans made fun of it. - mocked Manchester City fans, but this is normal because everyone has a team they are proud of. I hope Manchester City fans are not disappointed with what they showed yesterday, because in my opinion Manchester City has shown their best performance.

but even so, for Manchester City's next match, maybe they will no longer face such a strong team. with the points they have, they can still put them at the top of the standings, it's just that they can't relax because their points are not much different from the other teams below them.

Real were able to score an early goal and they put a lot of emphasis on defensive play and it worked for them. Both teams played very well, a match worthy of a final. I think it will not be an exaggeration if I say that Real Madrid is now strong enough to win the Champions League. And I would like to see Real and PSG in the final, and who knows, maybe Enrique can become the first coach to win the Champions League with PSG for the first time in history. ) But it looks like I'm getting too far ahead of myself...

This season, Haaland is not that good at scoring goals, so I was not surprised by his performance against Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League. Real Madrid's defense was so solid that they were able to make Haaland not score a goal in both Real Madrid's home and Manchester City's home. Even in the Premier League this season, Haaland is struggling to score many goals for Manchester City like he did for them last season in all competitions.
In fact, it is not appropriate to say that Haaland is not good at scoring goals this season in any competition, because it also really depends on Haaland himself supplying the ball from the middle and also from the edge. It will always be difficult for a striker to score more goals if there are no players who pass the ball better to him in every match so it is not appropriate to say that Haaland is not good at scoring goals because it requires good cooperation within each team.

Arsenal once again out from UCL and yet again another excuse from rice. I think that he was overreacted with his own club by called it as one of the biggest clubs in the world. The btter for rice to tell his coach to recruit an experienced player rather than use the young group as an excuse caused by it was once again losing against bayern.
Actually he's correct.

Arsenal is currently second biggest team market valuation, but they should be feel shameful because Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Liverpool, Inter, Leverkusen, and Dortmund who have lower valuation can perform better than them.

Arsenal and PSG are same, they sign so many high quality players, but fail to win prestigious trophy.

I am no gooner but that's being a bit harsh to Arsenal, don't you think?

I mean they didn't waste so much money on a washed Messi or spend 200 million euros on Mcdonald's Ghost Neymar, or any of the other 5 or so players that they bought for absolutely no reason and then moved on.

The parc de princes is a media circus who have nothing to show for their billions spent except for a bunch of Uber Eats Ligue 1 farmer's titles. At least City has a champions league to their name.

Bayern's a tough team to play against, so losing against them is nothing to feel bad about.

For Munich vs Madrid, in my opinion, it is very difficult to predict who will be in the final, because they are the same as their best performance, so at least Munich must win at their own home even though the score is close. There is no possibility that Madrid will respond with a much bigger score at their own home. What you said is correct, for the Dortmund vs PSG match, PSG has a much greater chance of qualifying for the final.

In my opinion, Bayern München is not a more difficult opponent than Manchester City. Bayern were much stronger last year or the previous years, but they have a slightly weaker squad this season. They don't have any scary players other than Kane. Real, on the other hand, has a rich offensive line with players such as Vinicius, Rodrygo and Bellingham. It's a difficult matchup to predict, but I think Real is ahead by a small margin. On the other hand, Bayern, who lost the Bundesliga, will give everything for CL trophy.

The btter for rice to tell his coach to recruit an experienced player rather than use the young group as an excuse caused by it was once again losing against bayern.

Bayern munich is very strong team and neuer is just getting back again. This is one of legendary goal keeper. Arteta was potentially trophyless again this season after it was missing UCL and probably PL soon. What's good from arsenal?

I think that it doesn't even matter how many times arsenal try and they will not get UCL. Never. Talk about the fact here.

I will be waiting what clubs will be planned by arteta for the upcoming season in UCL. Will he use the same composition like this time?

It reminds me with chelsea when havertz or even mount was there. It was winning UCL with so many young players on its squad.
Arsenal lost the qualification not yesterday but the during the first leg against Bayern. They gave out two goals that were so stupid to do. First the defender made a mistake to pass a ball in a rush where he could have passed the ball to the keeper, so bad they had to use the opportunity and scored the first goal. Not withstanding Arsenal gave a penalty again they now have to struggle to equalize the game. Truly the players are young players but this is not an excuse to ruin everything they hard work for. They had just one task yesterday to hold the game till the end of the match so they can compete in penalty. They might have the same luck they had last time.

There was little expectation that Manchester City would be eliminated, but when it comes to penalties, the luck factor comes into play. They should have scored goals in normal time and won the match. After all, Real Madrid is also one of the biggest clubs, this result is not a surprise. Bayern passed the round despite not being much superior. It's difficult to predict who will win the cup, all four teams are the best in the world. It won't be a surprise who wins. Dortmund may be the team with the least chance, but even they have a chance. Real and PSG are bigger favorites.
Many people expect that City will not qualify for the next round, because they see that their opponents are quite tough and Madrid's performance is on fire. In my opinion, City has played their best game, yes, sometimes luck can be the deciding factor in winning, for City fans they might be a bit regretful at the time of the penalty, City was actually already ahead with Modric's failure and Silva really wasted an opportunity that was not needed, which is really a shame.

For Munich vs Madrid, in my opinion, it is very difficult to predict who will be in the final, because they are the same as their best performance, so at least Munich must win at their own home even though the score is close. If you watched the Champions League quarter finals between Arsenal and Bayern Munich from the first to the second leg, you will understand the following things.
  • Bayern Munich is not good enough to eliminate Arsenal
  • They did it because Arsenal was not committed to the course.
  • The players are not much dedicated, they played as if it is a regular afternoon in the English premier league
  • This was the right time for Arsenal to rewrite their Champions League history with Bayern Munich but they failed
Most times, it is not about the worth of the players, but the energy and dedication they put into the match.

Manchester City lost dramatically against Real Madrid. Until extra time the score remained unchanged at 1-1, so the match had to be decided via a penalty shootout. This is where the mentality of the Real Madrid players looks tougher than the Man City players. Even though Luka Modrid as the first kicker failed to carry out the execution, but the other four executors succeeded in carrying out their duties. Besides that, Real Madrid's victory was also due to the contribution of Andriy Lunin, who played very impressively that night.

I think Real Madrid will be a strong candidate in the Champions League, they will indeed meet other strong candidates but I think Real Madrid will be able to win against Bayern Munich.
Manchester City played very well in this second leg match and they were even able to control the match completely from the early minutes but unfortunately they were unlucky in this match.

This really was a very dramatic match and I think both teams have shown their best, Real Madrid with its very strong defense was able to withstand many attacks from Manchester City despite the many criticisms of the defensive tactics applied by Ancelotti but in my opinion the most important thing is the result final and Real Madrid managed to advance to the semifinals and also succeeded in getting revenge last season.

From the start, Manchester City and Real Madrid were quite the favorites to win the Champions League and now that Manchester City has been knocked out, of course Real Madrid is the most favored team to win the Champions League this season and I don't doubt that, they have everything to make it happen.

Still anyone's game really. The chances are estimated almost identically for both teams, with a slight advantage to Bayern:
38% - Bayern to win
27% - extra time
35% - Arsenal to win

as per Google.

And as I said before - Bayern is not doing bad at all this season. If you look at their average points per game (for the league games), they are doing slightly better than the last season, when they had won the league. It's just that this year they got overshadowed by Bayer Leverkusen, who are having their best season in history and might set a record for the most points.

The estimations were correct as Bayern Munich won by a score like 1-0 only. The first half was much more balanced but in the second half Arsenal started to struggle much more. This gave Bayern Munich a big opportunity ands they didn't turn it down. The result isn't surprising honestly but at least Arsenal lost the matchup by a small gap.  Smiley

I was wrong about my Manchester City prediction like many other people. Real Madrid were shown as an underdog naturally but they became the side to reach the semi finals. Their early goal changed everything really. Ancelotti started to be like Mourinho later on and this really helped them.

not only learning from the experience of the first leg but also learning from past mistakes when Man City failed, but Ancelotti is a smart coach who has many ways to find out the right strategy to give Man City a dead end by focusing on Guardiola mainstay players like Haaland and De Bruyne had difficulty scoring because Madrid defense as a whole focused on De Bruyne and Haaland.
after giving each other attacks several times, I thought it looked like Real Madrid would just try to survive until the last minute ended and entered the penalty round and all of that came true without seeing the penalty shootout round. I confidently said that Real Madrid would win and qualify for the semi finals.

in this semi final round, we all know who the strongest candidate is to win the UCL title this season, even though Real Madrid still faces strong obstacles against Bayern Munich, but Real Madrid has more experience to be able to find a way to qualify for the final round.
If Madrid qualify for the final round and Dortmund qualify for the final round, it is certain that Real Madrid will hold the title this season, but if PSG qualify for the final round, I think Madrid will work a little harder because facing PSG will also provide difficulties that they will experience Ancelotti squad.

even though my bet lost with the Man City vs Real Madrid draw, at least I was proud to see my favorite team qualify for the semi finals and my loss was covered the victory from Bayern Munich.

I agree with you. Ancelotti learned from the mistakes they had in the first leg, Real Madrid defenses became weak in the first match, and give Manchester City an advantage to scored three goals in their home. I believe if Real Madrid played defensive as they did in the second leg, it will be an easier to eliminated Manchester City. Ancelotti discover a right strategy against Manchester City because after i saw Guardiola formation line with Rodri and De Bruyne, i believe that Real Madrid will will face difficult challenges at Etihad. Manchester city dominated throughout the game with 33 shots and 18 corners. I almost forgot that it was Real madrid against City due to the pressure.

Before the match started, i has strong believe that Real Madrid will qualify for the next round, i lost my bet because i bet on Real Madrid to win the game and ended up in draw. I don't think the Champions Leagues game will be more interesting anymore once Real Madrid get eliminated, since they are almost everyone favorite club in this competition.

He definitely dropped in performance this season, it’s difficult to tell the reason behind his drop of form but his silence in recent games is something that needs to be addressed. This happens in football and sometimes even Messi and Ronaldo struggle too but they still get involved and show impacts in matches even without scoring but it is not the case with Haaland, Haaland seem to be silent in every big game this season with no impact to show at all and if he is not careful he might lose the premier league golden boot.

Yesterday’s game was another interesting game and Real Madrid show their defensive skills which was the only way they could stand Manchester City, City dominated throughout but the result is all that mattered and Real Madrid got it. Congratulations to Real for proceeding to the next round.

A really tense match. In this match Manchester City played very well. However, unfortunately there are still many opportunities that cannot be exploited properly. So even though in this match Manchester City managed to dominate the game well. However, in that match Manchester City was only able to score one goal through De Bruyne in the 76th minute. And in that match, the Real Madrid players actually came under quite a lot of pressure from the Manchester City players. Because how could it not be, in this match Real Madrid visits Manchester City's headquarters which will definitely make the game of the Manchester City players better. But fortunately, Real Madrid was able to hold Manchester City to a 1-1 draw and ultimately had to go to a penalty shootout. Then in the penalty shootout round, Real Madrid managed to win. So Manchester City was eliminated in the quarter-finals and Real Madrid managed to qualify for the semifinals. To be honest, at first I thought Real Madrid would suffer the same fate as the previous UCL (losing to Manchester City in the second leg). However, this year Real Madrid proved that Real Madrid is indeed better than the previous UCL.

And in the match between Bayern Munich and Arsenal. In this match, Arsenal had to accept a narrow defeat from Bayern Munich. Actually, Arsenal played quite solidly in this match. However, in the second half, Arsenal conceded through Kimmich's header in the 63rd minute. And until the referee blew the whistle to signal the end of the second half, Arsenal were unable to equalize. So with this defeat against Bayern Munich, Arsenal had to be eliminated from the UCL with a 3-2 aggregate.

Of course, it was a very tense match and as the host, Manchester City was unable to fight against the away team. Indeed, many people thought that Manchester City would win because the Manchester City squad was in good form and De Bruyne returned from injury, so I personally predicted that Manchester City in the UCL would succeed in beating Real Madrid.
Yes, the pressure that Manchester City put on Real Madrid was very strong, but Madrid's defense line was so strong which ultimately made things very difficult for Manchester City. Yes, the point is that both teams are equally strong and I am amazed by both teams. Yes, but it's a shame that Manchester City has to swallow the bitter pill this season in the UCL.

Yes, I personally bet on Manchester City to win. I didn't expect to lose when betting on UCL this time.yes  Real Madrid is better than Manchester City.

Arsenal against Bayern ended with Bayern winning, of course, now there are no representatives from the EPL entering the semifinals of the Champions League. Honestly, I didn't expect that no team from the EPL would enter the semifinals.

Manchester City fought very well that's why the match ended in penalty shootout. Real Madrid are an experienced team when it comes to the champions league, so I wasn't surprised when they showed their class in yesterday's performance. They came with a determined mindset, got an early goal and it was a good one. Manchester City showed their class too and got a goal back in the 75th minutes. You see penalties can go either ways, once a game enters penalties, it is out of your hand, you don't have control over it again. So Manchester City losing on penalties is not something we will blame the squad. They did their best, but one team will win the shootout and it went Madrid's way yesterday. For me Manchester City players did very well.

Paris Saint Germans has always been favorites for me even before thengame against Barcelona. Glad they could make good use of the chances they had tonight. The spoiler of the game was that penalty awarded to Dembele and it was worth it.

I expected Barcelona to defend better in this match but they disappointed me. Barcelona could have conceded more goals if Ter Stegen didn't perform well. Ter Stegen made critical saves despite conceding 4 goals. Barcelona could have left with a more sensational defeat if he hadn't shown that performance. Of course, the most important reason for this score is the red card. This wouldn't have happened if Barcelona didn't have 10 men on the pitch. Before this match I thought that Barcelona would at least get a draw, but I was wrong because of things that could not be calculated or predicted.

In the round of 16 the teams from Italy were all eliminated. And will the same thing happen to the teams from Laliga in the quarter-finals? Now we just have to see how Real Madrid plays against Man City who are the hosts in today's match. Real Madrid has a tough task. Because Laliga's reputation is also at stake here. Because now only Real Madrid is the only team remaining from Laliga.

I am one of those who hopes Barcelona wins this match. But yes, they failed due to the imbalance of the game. because Barcelona, which was initially superior, apparently had to lose one player due to a red card. And since then the game has belonged to PSG. So it is not surprising that PSG scored a lot of goals against Barcelona. Because Barcelona is quite weak by only playing with 10 players.

It is looking like it. The duel between Barcelona and PSG could have ended differently as I think the early red card against a team like PSG put the game upside down. The whole strategy fell apart for Barcelona and the last thing a team wants is to be a man down against an offensive consisting of Mbappe, Dembele and Barcona. Against a high speed opponent, losing possession of the ball and control over the game is the worst as that it is the best way to keep fast counter attacks under control.

Real Madrid will probably get eliminated unless they have somehow learnt their lesson from last season's game against Manchester City in the Etihad Stadium. I didn't think that it is possible to see two German clubs in the semifinals, but I believe that Bayern Munich has an advantage over Arsenal, since they are playing at home.
Well, the red card that Ronald Araujo received in the 29th minute was truly the turning point in the match. Even though Xavi withdrew Yamal and replaced him with a defender, this still did not strengthen Barcelona's defense. And in the end Xavi changed strategy again when PSG had equalized the aggregate by replacing Cancelo with Felix. But that also failed. Because against a team as strong as PSG with 10 players it is still very difficult.

Real Madrid really have to learn from the mistakes they made in the previous season when facing Man City. And I hope this time Real Madrid can entertain us. Bayern vs Arsenal will indeed be quite a difficult match for Arsenal. but I can't predict these two matches.

Of course a red card is almost always a turning point, at least in maybe 90% of the cases and especially when it is received so early in the game against a very strong opponent. But my point was that PSG despite the goal against them was the far more dangerous team even before the red card. Now nobody can tell how the game would have ended with the red card, but my best guess is that PSG would have kept dominating the game and would have generated more big chances. Barcelona lost a lot of important elements of their planned strategy for the game after that red card, but no matter what would have happened, I still don't see Barcelona as a top 3 team in Europe at this point. But it is great to see some of these super young Barcelona players playing in such a promising way. Really impressive speed and technique! Maybe they can finally build an impressive squad over the coming years with players from La Masia.

The semifinals are now somewhat surprising as I don't think a lot of people thought PSG and Dortmund would make it there. It's funny as the final takes place in Wembley and the last time there were two clubs in the semifinals and met in the final in Wembley was in 2013 I think, Bayern vs Dortmund! Wink

I can understand why Vinicius said that "Hala Madrid" chant with so much fervour when he went to greet the fans because many of them thought their hard work was going to go down the drain after Luka Modric missed the shot. It's funny that for the whole of 120 mins, it was just two corners the Los Blancos had which was enough proof that Man City were the ones calling the shots at the Etihad and had that confidence that if it ever went to penalties, they will end the game because frankly the both sides had already given their best.
It's safe to say that Madrid have avenged their loss àt the hands of Man City when Pep's men removed the Los Blancos last season during the round of 16, now they( Man City) are the ones being kicked out of the round of 16. I don't even blame Real Madrid for celebrating the way they did as if you didn't know what was happening you'd think they've won the champions league but for me, to remove Man City is not a small feat and that alone is like winning the title.
Real Madrid will come out through for their fans, and they're aiming to reach the UCL final this season. Real Madrid have proven to be the best team in the UEFA Champions League this season though meeting Manchester City was one of the most challenging opponents this season. Manchester City dominated the game fulltime recorded 16 corners but with all these dominating stats, who won? Carlo Ancelotti understands the game style of Pep Guardiola and he resolve weaknesses to work on and they were quite forced.
I quite agree because we saw how they determined to not repeat history, even though they didn't have much activity in Man City box, whenever they had the chance, they try to utilize it to the best of their ability, although we'd agree that Kyle Walker was a real pain in the side of Vinicius.
In terms of defense, the both sides gave their all and now that Real Madrid have emerged the winner, I'm real curious to see how they will perform against Bayern Munich, whether they will let Thomas Tuchel's shrewd ways get the better of them or  whether they will show that they have got what it takes to carry the title again.
