Barcelona's defeat was quite surprising because they already had the upper hand but because of a stupid mistake, the whole team had to suffer the consequences.
That is not a stupid mistake from their central defender Araujo because it is a very dangerous attacking situation from PSG. If it is another player, maybe Barcelona will still get a penalty or a conceded goal without penalty. If Araujo did not make a foul, Barcelona will not lose one player on field but such situation happens very quickly and it's not easy to make decision and let your body reacts properly.

Especially since Bayern is already at advantaged over Arsenal, they could possibly take advantage of that opportunity to scale through but we can't predict this stage anymore rather than watch who is able to strengthen their tides for a win.
There is no big advantage for Bayern Munich because the first match ended as a draw, not a win for Bayern Munich. They will have only advantage from their home stadium but without weight for home away goals, Bayern Munich and Arsenal will start a second match at the same line, no advantage in result for any team.

Well, the red card that Ronald Araujo received in the 29th minute was truly the turning point in the match. Even though Xavi withdrew Yamal and replaced him with a defender, this still did not strengthen Barcelona's defense. And in the end Xavi changed strategy again when PSG had equalized the aggregate by replacing Cancelo with Felix. But that also failed. Because against a team as strong as PSG with 10 players it is still very difficult.

Real Madrid really have to learn from the mistakes they made in the previous season when facing Man City. And I hope this time Real Madrid can entertain us. Bayern vs Arsenal will indeed be quite a difficult match for Arsenal. but I can't predict these two matches.

It was a wonderful game yesterday Barcelona's performance was extremely good even with their red card, but at the end they got defeated, and that is the spirit of football, anything can happen. Although I felt so embarrassed that they were defeated in their home, because in my views, they have an upper hand in qualifying for the semi-final than other teams.
Congratulations to PSG and Dembele because I'm pretty sure that he would be full of excitement with the victory that they had with Barcelona if not, he would be mocked all over social media by Barcelona fans because many fans felt so disappointed by the goal he scored and celebrated at Parc des Princes.

We still have challenging matches to watch today. I hope Manchester and Arsenal will perform well and do far better than psg and Dortmund. I knew it would not be an easy match, but I pray Manchester City and Arsenal will qualify for the semi-finals.

from Laliga, Barcelona lost and failed to advance to the semifinals, as well as Atletico Madrid failed to advance to the semifinals. Now the hope team from Laliga is Real Madrid. Of course, if for example Real Madrid lost, of course not a single representative from Laliga would qualify for the semifinals. and honestly I can't wait to see Ancelotti's troops play against Pep Guardiola's troops and of course it won't be long before Manchester City's match against Madrid in the Champions League.
but I predict Manchester City will win against Madrid. and I want to bet on Manchester city winning

Barcelona's defeat was quite surprising because they already had the upper hand but because of a stupid mistake, the whole team had to suffer the consequences. If referring to the experiences of Barcelona and PSG, I think that Real Madrid also has a chance to turn things around. Currently, they are in a disadvantaged position because, with a draw in the first leg, they have to play as a guest at Man City's headquarters. Of course, this will be a tough battle, but I think Real Madrid still has a winning mentality and they also have a composition and quality of players that I think are no less than Man City.

Football is really unpredictable sometimes, I'm asking myself is these the same PSG that lost at home to Barcelona, and now they are currently leading Barcelona 3-1 in camp nou, making the aggregate 4-5 in favour of PSG. Though that one man down has really affected Barcelona considering the fact that the way PSG are playing, it's as if they came for a revenge mission, so if Barcelona where complete in their squad maybe it would have been a different ball game. Going by history too in 2017, Barcelona had similar kind of come back against PSG, maybe it is safe to say, this is history repeating itself in a reverse way.

This thing is still finding space to set in my brain because this is too much for Barcelona. seriously, PSG lost against Barcelona at home in their first leg, and this makes everyone think that the same thing will happen if they come to Barcelona home today, which is not what we think. In fact, I was expecting Barcelona to even score more than they did at home when they played there, which didn’t happen that way today. However, the referee was bad in his decision, making me think that there are things that he was doing that make me think somehow.

So this is really bad for Barcelona tonight because they went to their home and won, so definitely they will win today's match again because I was expecting the motivation of being at home to be with them and they will find it easy to win, although PSG came with a high temper about what happened in their home in the first leg, which is why they didn’t take this as a joke; they really dominate this match.
It should not sound so shocking to you because yesterday was a night packed with surprises. The tables really turned around and to be honest I didn't expect that Dortmund would make it to the semi's just as I didn't see PSG going far but I guess the best man won. This semi's will be the fourth time PSG will play Dortmund and this will be an opportunity for either side to do things right where they didn't have the chance to.

This is truly why football is super amazing. The comeback wins made by PSG against Barcelona and Dortmund against Atletico Madrid are unbelievable and least expected by a great number of us who watched and predicted the second leg from the results of the first leg but this shows the game of football is unpredictable and no one can claim mastery in it especially when we get to tight and tough stages like this.

Today is the contest between the Real Madrid vs Manchester City and Arsenal vs Bayern Munich and many speculators are drumming support against Real Madrid and Arsenal already with the intention that what happened to Barcelona and Atletico Madrid who will ordinarily claim to be bigger clubs is likely to happen to Real Madrid and Arsenal too.

Especially since Bayern is already at advantaged over Arsenal, they could possibly take advantage of that opportunity to scale through but we can't predict this stage anymore rather than watch who is able to strengthen their tides for a win.

I don't think there are any regrets for Dembele after leaving Barcelona and joining PSG, there was also a camera showing him smiling when his team was certain to win in the final minute. Grin
That player is funny and he was bought by Barcelona with very expensive cost then spent most of his time in Barcelona in hospitals and for recoveries. His career only looks better after Xavi came and somehow he did not get more injuries. I don't think it is too much to say Dembele was given so many chances and patience by Barcelona.

Nearly immediately after his career becomes better, he decided to leave Barcelona and join PSG. In two matches of quarter final, Dembele scored goals for PSG and he did not show his respect to his ex-club.

Dortmund played very well against Atletico Madrid, a very entertaining game with many goals too. Dortmund took their goal scoring chances very well and that covered up for the errors they made that gave Atletico the chances to score the two goals. If PSG will be able to defend well and attack well too, they will be able to make it to the champions league finals. The games tomorrow will be tougher, wounded Arsenal will try to subdue the bitter Bayern who have lost their opportunity to win again a title that they believed was theirs because of how many times they had won it. Then Plenty goals is what I expect in the game between Real Madrid and Manchester City.
There is less than one day left to the game between Real Madrid and Macnshter City while it seems the performance of both teams was close enough to make the prediction very hard for the fans. I think Real Madrid and Macsnter City both can have a good chance in this match. Still, based on the last games we saw from both teams I can say Real Madrid got a better situation because they usually have better performances in the Champions League. They got a more experienced player in their teams while in Manchester City they get a player like Haaland who usually fails in the important matches like this one.
The game will be in Etihad Stadium where Manchester City never lost a game in the Champions League in this stadium November 2018.

These types of games are always unpredictable. When both teams are doing well and have a high chance of winning the game, you can see that even the fans who will predict the game will find it difficult to do. However, this season, Manchester City's performance does not look great like it did last season, while Real Madrid are very strong this season. Given that these two clubs are fighting for the same title, I believe Real Madrid will not disappoint because they have players that will do it for them, so I cannot predict this game, but I can hope for Real Madrid to win.

I have personal feeling Real Madrid and Bayern Munich can go through for the final but if we have another Spanish exit this could be surely nightmare for them because after losing two teams things are looking not good and third exit could be going to have heartbroken for the Spanish fans with Bayern Munich is also in good shape, but Arsenal is surely going to give their best for having spot into next round and this could be also not easy game for the both sides.

As for me, your feeling is too early, but after the match between Real Madrid and Manchester City, I think we can say something like this: Manchester City and Real Madrid both have a high chance of winning the match. I think it will be good if we wait and see how the game ends. Although Bayern Munich doesn't have much challenge in front of them now, the main thing for them is that they should get the title, which will not be an easy task for them.

It looks like we still misjudged with little hope for Barcelona and they couldn't win against PSG at Camp Nou. Who would have thought that Barcelona should be able to lock in victory in the second leg but failed and instead PSG destroyed them with a score of 1-4. The aggregate number of points belonged to PSG with a 4-6 advantage and nothing could stop Luis Enrique's men from advancing to the semifinals.

What was quite surprising was the red card that Araujo received and this also caused Barcelona to suffer major losses in their defense. The PSG attackers enjoyed the match so much that in the end they scored goals repeatedly. Mbappe recorded a brace, Vitinha with 1 goal, while Dembele found the net for his former team from the start.

I don't think there are any regrets for Dembele after leaving Barcelona and joining PSG, there was also a camera showing him smiling when his team was certain to win in the final minute. Grin

If the semi finals happens today I think Dortmund will be the team to qualify. They have been so exceptional through out this campaign. From the group stages to the quarter finals it has been a good show for Dortmund. They really deserved to qualify for the semi finals as their hard works paid off. I can't really say that about PSG. From the group stages PSG has been so lucky and they have been escaping from being sent packing from the competition. Yesterday match against Barcelona was another display of how highly favored PSG has been in this year competition. Barcelona player and coach being red carded was really something special for them. But how far can this their luck carry them? They are going to meet their end in the hand of Dortmund in the semi finals.

Yesterday Dortmund surprised me, I admit I was sure that Simione would be able to maintain the score they needed, but Atletico played too poorly in defense, it’s not like them, where is the Simione who knew how to build an ideal defense? In the Barcelona - PSG match, the turning point was the red card for Araujo in the middle of the first half, after which it became clear that for Barcelona this could be a death sentence. And of course, PSG took advantage of this, I think that if it weren’t for this mistake, Xavi would have been able to win, but on the other hand, I’m glad that Enrique is in the semifinals.

Barcelona have never been known to lose at home especially in home and away fixtures but with how things are at the moment with them being one man down and PSG gaining confidence after they managed to come from behind to take the lead in the game, can they hold the game down or will this be where they miss out on an opportunity to go the next round?
PSG has just turned the tables around with that penalty awarded them by Dembele and has put a lot of pressure on Barcelona. I wonder what will be the outcome of this game.

Quote
UEFA have released the ticket prices for the Champions League final this season at Wembley.
£2,900 for the most expensive 'Prime Seats'.

Source: https://x.com/DeadlineDayLive/status/1777726519474848078

OK, is it just me or does anyone else think that the prices of the tickets make me feel like brokie?

I mean of course some people are going to say that it is not that bad. But right now I think watching important football matches in the stadium is definitely a luxury that not everyone can afford. Now of course an argument could be made that we do not need to get the prime seat. we could just get the regular. But I think even then it is a little too much, isn’t it?

I mean people who are going to buy prime seats can afford almost anything in the world. The problem comes from the middle class or the lower class people.

Just a thought.

Whatever happened in the second leg today was a super surprise in my opinion. Barcelona and Atletico Madrid both failed to maintain their lead and they both failed to win the match and both failed to qualify for the semi-finals. I really didn't expect all this to happen, this clearly does not match what was said the previous day.

In the case of Barcelona, they were simply unlucky. Araujo had no right to what he did in the 29th minute. That single action cost Barcelona the game. Barcelona were already leading, they were 2 goals up, there was no way PSG would have score 3 if Barcelona deye get a red card. It's quite unfortunate for them. As an experience defender, Araujo really let his team down yesterday.

I saw the Dortmund win coming. I knew they'd be able to win that game at home. Their stadium is a fortress, they can overshadow any crowd. Atletico messed up because they were already winning 2-0 in that game, meaning it was 3-0 on aggregate and they blew it.  I don't know how they relaxed and allowed Dortmund to score 4 goals in a single game against them.

Barcelona was eliminated, Atletico Madrid was eliminated, is it Real Madrid's turn? Dortmund played the most amazing game of this year. Atletico could do nothing but defend desperately. It was a deserved victory and a deserved victory. The Germans do this job great. If Bayern eliminates Arsenal, there may be two German finals.
I'm not talking about the club's that will make it to the finals. Let's focus on the present. Barcelona was home and also seen as an advantage to qualify but their outcome turned out to be against them. I think the referee, Istvan Kovacs was been faired towards both sides. Barcelona was leading, not until Araujo was issued a red card for tackling his opponent in the 18 yard box, it's been really a tough moment but the winning team will always prevail no matter what. The former and current Barcelona boss, Luis Enrique saw this epic comeback and grabbed it within his reach.
Luis Enrique is one of those who know the Spanish team best. Of course, this was an advantage for Paris Saint Germain. When Raphael scored the first goal, I thought things were over for PSG, but the changing game balance with a red card enabled PSG to pass the round. PSG advanced to the round and unfortunately Barcelona had to be eliminated with this defeat. In football, sometimes one mistake can destroy the entire team. Just like the red card that is deemed unnecessary.

Of a truth, I actually thought it is over for this psg side as Barcelona took the lead, but a quick turn of events change everything about the match, and into the favour of psg, though the Barcelona fan would be feeling hard done by the red card,  but to me it's deserving because he was the last man, but a big congrats to psg for qualifying for the semi final of the competition.

And as for atletico madrid, I just don't know what transpired behind closed doors that makes them performed so badly yesterday that got them eliminated, because after the first leg, everyone believe that they are going to progress to the next stage of the competition due to their record of having the ability to hold on to their leads, but that wasn't the case yesterday, and they paid for it dearly.
Yesterday, Paris SG team played one of the best matches of the season. I had great fun watching them because they played very well, without fear and with self-confidence against Barcelona. Barcelona created a few important chances but couldn't score until Mbappe scored the goal that ended everything in the last minute. I can criticize Lewandowksi on this issue. Even though there were many free players in a position, he tried to shoot. If he had passed, it would have been a goal, but perhaps that decision took Barcelona out of the race.

Bayern's match against Arsenal is no less exciting and Bayern, who is currently in 2nd place in the Bundesliga, will certainly give everything they can to advance to the semifinals, as well as Arsenal who is now in place in the EPL, will definitely give their all. fought as hard as he could to advance to the semifinals but lost. Arsenal against Aston Villa in the EPL certainly makes me doubt whether Arsenal will be able to beat Bayern or not, but I personally predict that Arsenal will win against Bayern and Arsenal will advance to the semifinals. The upcoming match is really exciting and tense.

When it comes to the champions league Spanish teams are the kings of this particular competition,  most records in the champions league are held by Spanish teams and players who played in the Spanish league, so seeing two Spanish teams crash out of the champions league at this stage after winning the first leg is something we are not used, given the fact that they are always favourites,  this really show the quality the Spanish teams have this season, the drop in form of Barcelona and athletico Madrid, it's now left for real Madrid to represent Spain in the next round or crash out at the Etihad today,

For the Bayern and arsenal game I just expect a goal feast, like the games played yesterday and Bayern this time have the home advantage of progressing to the next round.

Ucl will be taking a new system of play next season, although I remain a Chelsea supporter, I still feel with the current Madrid team and form, adding mbappe by summer and all.
There will be more spots to come upcoming season as UEFA will add two more spots for UCL. This will also make the competition will be even more competitive compared to the last season. Mbappe has been successfully going to the semi final but i strongly believe he will go to the madrid next season.

Let's be sincere Madrid Will be unstoppable next season.
The better wait for what changes will have planned by ancellotti for the upcoming season. AFAIK, madrid has been targeting new wing back to strengthen its club.

For today's game against City, they are favourites to win.

The better if you take a look at the current odds again. Bookies have been favoring city to win the game and this can be seen from how city has been getting smaller odds compared to the real madrid at this time.

Manchester city seemingly in better position compared to the real madrid. I strongly believe city will once again destroy madrid very soon.

I also had the same opinion that since Barcelona were able to beat Paris Saint Germaine in the first leg at Parc des Princes, they'll definitely progress to the semi finals of the UEFA Champions League competition. My other reason why I thought Barcelona will win the tie was because they rarely lose home games in the competition and when they scored to first goal of the game to extend their aggregate lead to 4:2, I concluded that Paris Saint Germaine doesn't stand any chance of coming back into the game.
Ronald Araujo's 29th minute Red Card was what changed the game as Paris Saint Germaine saw it as a big chance to press for a win. Barcelona were lucky to finish the game with just 10 men if you ask me of their subsequent behavior after their defender was shown the red card. Their players lost their cool including the club manager Xavi Hernandez who was shown a red card in the game.

We watched 2 incredible matches. When PSG conceded the first goal, they were 2 points behind in the overall score, but they managed to win the match 4-1. In the other important match, Dortmund took the lead 2-0, Atletico caught the lead 2-2 and made us think that the match was turning. Borussia Dortmund made an unforgettable comeback by scoring 2 more goals with the support of the crowd. 2 amazing matches. 2 breathtaking matches. Thank you champions league.

There are things that happen that change everything and it cannot be denied that a red card makes everything change drastically, that's how football is, there are things that happen quickly that we can't predict.
This was an extraordinary night for PSG, they played very confidently with full fighting power and were able to take advantage of opportunities to turn things around. Sometimes Barcelona didn't think of anything from the start but PSG were able to do that.

At the same time, another Spanish representative also had to be eliminated, namely Atletico Madrid after Dortmund managed to make a comeback in the second leg.
I'm not surprised by this result, Dortmund are quite strong when they play at their own pace and started the first half convincingly enough so that they managed to win with a landslide score.

If Real Madrid were eliminated in today's match then it would be a nightmare for the teams from Laliga who all failed. Well I didn't expect Barcelona to lose. Maybe if Barcelona continues to play with 11 players then Barcelona can maintain their lead. But unfortunately they only played with 10 players from the 29th minute. And that was a nightmare for this club.

Laliga's only hope now is Real Madrid. And Real Madrid has the most feared opponent, namely Man City. In fact, I doubt that Real Madrid can succeed in beating Man City. But if PSG can make a surprise, then Real Madrid also has the same opportunity. Moreover, Real Madrid is still evenly matched on aggregate with Man City. So the opportunities are still wide open.
I want Real Madrid to win today this is because any mistake eventually Manchester City wins today they will carry the UCL league again which i am not in support of. Currently the EPL is on their toes, obviously now they are at the top they will remain there till the league is over. All LaLiga teams are relying on Real Madrid to succeed to the next round.

On the other side Arsenal would be struggling against Bayern Munich. I cannot predict which team would win today. The game is somewhat confusing, because Arsenal are playing so well of which they are in a good position to win Bayern. However Bayern are quite impressive as well they have a good success history against Arsenal. Last match they managed to play a draw with Arsenal but today am sure they are fully ready to win Arsenal.
