@uchegod-21 something spectacular did happen in the Barca vs. PSG match hehe.
You have to feel for Ronald Araújo. Some Barca fans are saying the red card punishment was too harsh but he was the last defender there so it was justified. It was probably just instinct that kicked in when he grabbed the PSG player. Maybe add the lack of experience as another factor as I doubt a top defender would risk doing that when they are already up by 2 goals with plenty of time to play.
It wasn't just the fans who thought that the red card was too harsh, but Xavi also blamed the referee because after Araújo was sent off, Barcelona game became increasingly out of control. I think Araújo deserved a red card because he committed a fairly serious foul and from here neither the fans nor Xavi should probably blame the referee's decision. Yes, there is definitely an attitude of disappointment but they remain professional and they have to admit that PSG is really stronger than them. Of course they had a 2 goal advantage but that disappeared when they had to play with 10 people and that was what made Barcelona game out of control.
The red card that Araújo received was a bit controversial and the referee seemed excessive by immediately issuing a red card, at least a yellow card was still normal, but after the red card the game changed drastically. Barcelona defense was completely bombarded by PSG players nonstop and Xavi had difficulty closing the gap. Yamal was pulled back and all the Barcelona players and coaches were stressed seeing the situation at hand. Like it or not, Barcelona elimination from the UCL ended all chances of winning a trophy this season, another La Liga representative, namely ATM, was also eliminated. One night, 2 La Liga clubs had to go home. Many Barcelona fans are now criticizing or expressing their frustration with Dembele, apparently not accepting the defeat he received and Dembele goal being the key to opening the next goal.
On the other hand, the ATM match was also unexpected, Dortmund actually became a nightmare for ATM, who had won in the first leg, but were left unable to move at the opponent home ground. This result brought together PSG and Dortmund to compete for tickets to the final. There is only one Spanish representative remaining, namely Real Madrid, who will visit Manchester City Headquarters today, where in every aspect the home squad is very favored so Madrid will have difficulty coming out as winners. The probability is quite small considering that while playing at Ettihad his history was quite negative.
Anything can happen in 90 minutes, hopefully the Madrid players can overcome the sharp attacks of the Manchester City players, especially since Kevin De Bruyne did not play in the 1st leg, so now they have to be better prepared to welcome this moment.
