I really understand that Porto's defense is very strong. At least Mikel Arteta can find a gap to score a goal in the second leg to advance to the next round. Even though Porto is in third place in the Portuguese League, that cannot be a benchmark for measuring the strength of a club.  However, here you can see or find out who will be lucky in the second leg, hopefully Mikel Arteta can find Porto's weak points so they can win or turn things around.

Gunners will be playing Porto who defeated them in the first leg in few weeks time at the Emirate with their qualification hopes hanging in the balance especially after that last minute goal from Porto that struck them hard. Arsenal had full possession of that match but Porto were more threatening as Arsenal were without any shot on target and their threats payed off with a last minute winner. The stoppage time winner over a toothless Arsenal was a bit hard one for them in the first leg of the Round of 16 tie of the UCL at the Estadio do Drago. Porto weren’t really good with the ball but to an extent would have opened scoring quite early when they had a great chance at goal but weren’t able to convert.

Arsenal on the other end struggled to create clear chances but struggled also to get some great attempts but came very close through the header from Saka’s cross. Declan Rice and Gabriel’s partnership too was also one close one for Arsenal but all didn’t give the club a shot on target. Arsenal whom after this match have, had a great EPL game by thrashing out Newcastle with over 4 goals proved that they’re still a better team and they’re very much ready to take their chances and aim at qualifying past this stage. Well Arsenal’s last time of going past the Round of 16 was against Porto in 2010 where they had a 6-2 aggregate win.

 This is their first appearance in years in this stage and I believe they still have a lot to offer and I’m very confident they’ll be able to go past Porto. The only time I’ll get worried for them is when they probably get their Quater Final opponent, then I can be a little shaky. Arsenal have hot a young squad and attacking mindset and yes that should be an added advantage for them especially when they play infront of their own fans as that’ll be the major boost of this Arsenal team.

Yeah right. And it would be very funny if someone blamed Harry Kane. Even though he is the current top scorer in the Bundesliga. He has scored 27 goals this season with Bayern in the Bundesliga.

And Bayern's problems have actually been going on since last season, even before Harry Kane arrived and even before Tuchel arrived. Last season, Bayern almost failed to win the Bundesliga title because just look at the points they had at the end of the season. Well it's the same point as Dortmund.

When did Harry Kane joined the team? Why would fans feel that he is part Of the problem the team is facing now. Yes, they may have had the joy that he would bring about more improvement in the team and instead Bayern Munich is still underperforming compared to there level. However before now Bayern has been going through this problem before Harry Kane came to the league and the manager should try to fix this problem instead of poor Hary Kane going through some emotion blackmail via the posts on social media that ever since he came it has been nothing but failure for Bayern.

For big clubs like Man City and Real Madrid, home and away matches are not different. Because in reality they will still be able to win in two legs at once. Especially Man City, where their performance and sharpness of attack is very feared. As UCL champions last season, Man City is also the one with the greatest potential to win the title again this season in the UCL.

but for other matches such as Barcelona vs Napoli, anything can still happen. Because in the first leg they could only play a draw. So in the second leg it is still uncertain which one will be the favorite. It's just that Barcelona as the host seems to be the favorite.

The problem isn't about Harry Kane as well. Because he is currently the best performing player in the team. He has scored a lot of goals to help this team achieve titles. But he is still really unlucky about winning a league title.    Even at a team like Bayern Munich he has found the season in which Bayern Munich play worse as a team. The title streak in the Bundesliga is about to end.

Arsenal are of course not one of number one contenders. They have a great scoring potential this season as you can see from their performance in the Premier League. But they are a very young team and it adds extra difficulty when it comes to winning a Champions League title. Consistency problems are seen clearly like in the Porto game.

There are so many wrong things happened to the bayern. It's unstructured team, lack of chemistry, lack of support between one to each other, even coach can't understand his club. Kane was performing so badly in this club, even the performance from last season was still far better compared to the current season.
The decision for the club to part ways with tuchel was right and i can understand it very well. Agreed with your statement if bayern was only lucky enough last season to had won bundesliga.

Dortmund was unlucky in the last game of bundesliga. It was also helping tuchel to stay till this time but it will not happen again soon. There are many unsolved problems in the club. Tuchel has totally failed in managing the club and it makes officials feel so upset with the condition of bayern now.
Bayern is only seeing xabi alonso as the best replacement but no effort being made by bayern munich to sign him as a new coach.

It sounds impossible for me but who knows if xabi will be willing to do U turn. Xabi has been linked to the united and bayern munich but it seems xabi is leaning to the bayern munich instead of united.

Xavi done better than expectations, but now Barcelona issue is bigger then we are talking they are not able to bring new blood which is important for the improvement of the quality for any club and their debit is also increasing because their management done big blunders in last few years, and they were not aware to have things like these which are surely going to create serious troubles if they fail to reach on any better agreement which will allow them to have big amounted and few good players for the quality improvement.

There are too many speculations about them but mostly are just how they will settle this all with nothing is officially what are they going to do for the increase of their income and also having new players which are indeed without these changes they can't stand against team like Real Madrid which is currently at his best.

Bayern Munich were considered as one of best candidates to win Champions League after they purchased Harry Kane from Tottenham Hotspur until recent weeks they shown some terrible performances.

Arsenal have never been a good candidate to win Champions League and they are even far lower than Bayern Munich in tradition and quality. Porto won one Champions League with Jose Mourinho but Arsenal did not win any Champions League. They got a final match but lost to Barcelona.

Bayern Munich are in their own crisis and they will beat Lazio in Munich only if their star players wake up and halt internal conflict against their coach Thomas Tuchel for a common biggest target of their club in this season.

Lazio are not stronger than Bayern Munich so chance to win for Bayern at their home stadium is not small.

The knock round of Champion League for this season most surprised after both favorite teams had losses on their first leg match, Bayern Munich unbelievable defeated by Lazio and Arsenal with top consistency performance in domestic league had loss against FC Porto.
Its not close opportunity for both teams qualifying to quarter final if can make come back on second leg match but must win above two goals.
Has advantage with Arsenal and Bayern Munich will be host on second leg match, potential to make come back when playing in front of their fans and have to proof for Bayern Munich as top teams and difficult has eliminate in 16 of round.

Bayern Munich has Champion League mentality winning but I doubt with Arsenal have been absent for several years and get bad capital on the first leg match. Bayern Munich has to play one match in domestic league before facing Lazio in champion league, seems they will make huge rotation against SC Freiburg and most focus to win above two goals against Lazio.

Losing the first leg in extra minute is very disappointed for Arsenal. If it ends as a draw, Arsenal will have easier task in a second leg and it shows their players still lack of focus on important time that can decisive a match and even an aggregated result.

For the second leg, Arsenal must beat Porto but they will have to focus on their defensive system, tighten it to avoid a conceded goal at home. If they let Porto scores even a single goal, their task will be much heavier and they will possibly face with a nightmare at home too.

Porto are very experience in Champions League and they will be able to create a lot of challenge against Arsenal then wait for Arsenal's mistakes, suicides. Last season in Europa League, they lost at home even had a very impressive performance in a first leg, home away.

In fact, these two clubs have almost similar performance if we both pay attention to the performance of both clubs and both clubs will both be superior when competing at their respective home grounds, such as Porto can win in the 1st leg and of course in the 2nd leg Arsenal far superior.
Bookies will still favor Arsenal in this match because we can also see that in the 1st leg Arsenal did not concede more than 1 score and that means Arsenal has great strength to be stronger at home.
Unless something happens that is unexpected, such as Arsenal's main striker or Arsenal's main defender getting injured because we don't know what will happen because there are still 2 weeks remaining and in the remaining time a lot can happen but I hope Arsenal will be fine and can proceed to the next round.

Currently Arsenal is still having a stable performance in PL matches and this makes me very confident that in the 2nd leg match Arsenal will have no difficulty getting a bigger score.
In my opinion, what Arsenal need is just to get 3 scores and survive until the end of the match because with 3 scores Arsenal is safer when Porto later scores 1 score and Arsenal will be ahead with the aggregate score.

This UCL season is full of surprises, don't underestimate your opponents, Munich lost against Napoli, Arsenal also lost against Porto. as you said, Arsenal were indeed favorites, even in the first leg they had superior possession of the ball but there was not a single shot on target. So it could be said that Arsenal are still ahead in the second leg, but Porto could provide a surprise. It is very important for Arsenal to never underestimate their opponents if they want to advance to the next round. Moreover, it is predicted that Porto will play defensively and only rely on fast counter attacks. If Arsenal don't learn from the first leg, it is not impossible that the same thing will happen again in the second leg.

I always believe that the UCL league is very different from the domestic league, in the UCL league what is needed is not only strategy but mentality and having the DNA of the UCL league. Currently, the mentality and DNA of the UCL league only belong to Porto, so the second leg for Arsenal will be very tough even though they are playing at home. However, if they make a mistake, Arsenal will be punished by Porto like in the first leg. What is certain is that this match will be intense and exciting to watch.

The first leg was really painful for Arsenal who came quite spectacularly after previously winning in the league with a big score but they had to lose at home to Porto without even having a single shot at the opponent goal, Arsenal game in the first leg was actually quite good and was even able to continue to dominate the game throughout match, but the tight defense built by Porto meant that all attacks carried out by Arsenal were able to be overcome by porto defense outside the penalty box, the defeat against Porto was actually a warning for Arsenal because they currently need a striker who is capable of being the difference between if Arsenal wing attackers experienced a deadlock.

The second leg will be a match that can be said to be life and death for arsenal in the Champions League, because if they lose or even draw then it is certain that the Champions League will end too quickly for arsenal, but Porto cannot underestimate arsenal at home because after all Arsenal is a team that is quite dangerous when playing in front of its own supporters, I think in the second leg the arsenal players will play all out to at least be able to catch up on the goals left behind and maybe even a big win will be achieved by Arteta team later in emirates stadium.

However Pep Guaridola is not a coach who can relax just because he is ahead in Leg 1. He will continue to maximize the opportunities he has and actually win a total of 2 full matches. Currently Kevin de Bruyne and Haaland cannot be stopped by anyone because both of them will enjoy every match to extend the positive trend. Copenhagen is under great pressure so they have to be careful to control their emotions. Once they are provoked into not focusing, that's when Manchester City can easily control the match. Probability has locked Manchester City to win and I am sure that the strongest candidate this season is still Pep Guardiola troops to qualify for the final.

The team that played with Napoli is a weak team, and that’s what people did not observe before they started thinking that Napoli are getting their form back. Although I know that scoring many goals is not a small thing, and without consistency, they won’t do that, I still don't believe that Napoli are now back to form. They need to play more matches, including with a tough team, and see how they perform before we can say that they are back to form. However, Barcelona should be on alert because Napoli scored many goals yesterday, which is not a reason Barcelona is better than Napoli in terms of performance. 


Yes, of course, this time around I don’t think Napoli are going to see it easy from Barcelona because they are going to Barcelona home to play, and since Barcelona are in better shape than at the same time playing at home, you can see that Barcelona will do everything in their power to see that they meet up and qualify for the quarterfinals too, although both teams are looking up to it.

 To me this match between arsenal vs Porto is really going to be a very difficult match for arsenal irrespective of the fact that they are playing at home this time around, just look at the statistics of the previous match at the home stadium of fc Porto, arsenal were the dominant team all through, but they were unable to register even a single shot on target, which is not a good thing for a top quality team as arsenal.

I sees Porto as that team that will makes you pay dearly if they are being underated, and arsenal need to be more direct in their attacking play if they don't want the same scenario that took place last time to repeat itself, but as it stands, the tie is still open, it can still go either ways.

When Arsenal traveled to Portugal to play against Porto in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League round of 16 tie, I was expecting Mikel Arteta's men to at least get a draw in that game before waiting for the second leg that'll be played at the Emirates stadium but surprisingly to me, Arsenal didn't just fail to get a draw in that game but also failed to find the back of the net and that I think has put their qualification to the next round of the competition on hang because the Porto team is very good in their defense line and are very capable of protecting the first one goal lead from the first leg of the tie. Porto are currently in the third position of the  Portuguese league table behind league leaders and current champions Benfica and second placed Sporting Lisbon but that doesn't suggest that they can't be able to eliminate Arsenal in the second leg even when bookmakers are still backing the English club to defeat Porto and go through.

For Arsenal to reach the next round of the UEFA Champions League, their attacking line must be on their best when the host the Portuguese club for the second leg of the tie. Breaking a Porto defense that's led by the legendary Pepe who we all know is a rockie and very solid at the back will be very difficult of you ask me. However, Arsenal will play the second leg of that game at home in front of their home fans and that I think will give them all the needed support to be at their best and better the result of Porto in the first leg and reach the quarter finals of the competition.

The 1-0 defeat against Porto was not complicated for Arsenal, even though Porto has always been a bad club, that doesn't mean they are difficult to beat. We know that Porto always beat big clubs in the last 16 of the Champions League, but we have to know that the second leg will be  played at Arsenal which is expected to be beneficial for Arsenal in getting a goal. At least a 2-0 result is enough to advance Arsenal to the next round, at least to avoid a draw or keep Porto from scoring goals above 2, because that will eliminate Arsenal in the number of away goals.  and aggregate goals.

All that would be worth noting in the second leg is how rudely the Copenhagen players played in the first leg, perhaps the reason for this was that they played in front of their fans, and had the courage to do so, and in the second leg everything will be different . There is no doubt that City will also beat Copenhagen at home, although this is not necessary for them, they have already secured a comfortable score in the first leg, so the outcome could go either way.
