Arsenal is not even in a good situation in Premier League and that's why I think we can't expect them to have good results in the tournament like Champions Legue.
Arteta is getting more experiacned and he id making progress but he is still far from a coach like Ancelotti with lots of experience in Chmapinos Leeague and tthat's why I think Real Madrid will have much more chance than other teams.

Yes, in terms of squad depth, Arsenal and Real Madrid are very different from the players in those clubs Madrid far superior and has bigger chance winning the Champions League title, even Real Madrid has a bigger chance.
Let try to compare it with stronger ones like Bayern Munich, even though they have very high quality new players, but in terms of experience, Real Madrid still the favorite club after manchester City, but for some reason the bookies believe that Bayern Munich has a bigger chance of being in the position second after Manchester City.
Or maybe the reason because real Madrid one of the candidates to hold the Champions League title but has pure strikers, which different from several other clubs.
But still, I would prefer that Arsenal candidate be replaced by Inter Milan, which currently has Martinez, who is considered scoring machine for Inter and I am sure that Arsenal will quickly be eliminated and will be replaced by Inter Milan, which is currently very good condition.

Arsenal will always repeat the same patter in any season. The club will be declining so hard while the other club was slowly improving a lot. Im also feeling bored to see how arsenal was performing so badly. It doesn't even make sense to call this club as one of most favorite club to win the trophy this season. Im also questioning myself about having arsenal fans ever feel bored with the club? Arsenal keeps give bullshit promise, which was also hurting the situation in the club. Real madrid was very strong right now and xavi will be sacked by barcelona soon.
Arsenal never had good history in the champion league and it sounds non sense if people were convincing themselves to think that arsenal will do better this season in UCL. So many teams were even stronger compared to the last season.
The gunner was not in my favorite choice to win the UCL this season. I would rather pick intermilan instead of arsenal. This makes more sense rather than pick a club that was rarely getting trophy.

Real Madrid or Manchester City. Don't try to buy quotes from scraps. European football is over, there are only these two teams Smiley

Real Madrid is indeed the club that has won the most Champions League titles with a total of approximately 14 titles they have won. So favoring Real Madrid, who can also be said to be the king of the Champions League, is normal. But Man City actually looks more trustworthy at the moment. I see Man City as a pretty perfect team when they are at their optimal performance. Unless Haaland doesn't come back quickly. Real Madrid experienced a setback last season. But this season they are starting to recover and even compete again in the race for the title in Laliga with Girona and Barcelona. But I'm probably not the one who will favor Real Madrid. Because I have always liked teams from Italy for a long time. And last season Inter Milan almost got it without the obstruction of Man City, who were superior.

I personally see the competition for the Champions League title this season between Man City, Real Madrid, Inter Milan and Bayern. Because Bayern, after getting Kane, turned out to be stronger in attack and that is extraordinary progress that I have seen from the club.
It is natural to make Real Madrid the favorite team to win the UCL title because this team has won the most titles but choosing Man City, Inter and Munich is no less impressive because the performance of the 3 teams is extraordinary in fighting for the title in their respective domestic leagues and In the UCL, these 3 teams are also very strong, especially Munich, which has got a very sharp striker, as well as Real Madrid and Man City, each of which has superior players. I myself have not yet decided which one of the 4 teams above is better. is the favorite because the 4 teams are still having very good performance to date so it is difficult to predict.

Domestic performance never been had any impact on UEFA performance because these both are completely different things and many teams done good job with they had never been good spot into domestic league, so Arsenal is still one of the top teams into Champions League with I have feeling they can go through until last four then we have much better sides which can bring them down with their own quality and performance with Arsenal still needs more time and experience for having better results in top games which are never been easy for any club which is having squad like them. Mikel Arteta is surely one of the best young managers which is taking good experience and lessons after their every defeat and trying to improve their performance and fixing holes which are hurting them with he is not comparable with Carlo Ancelotti which is currently one of the best in business.

The performances of the teams in this season's UEFA has made very difficult to predict the favourite team to win the competition but I also think that there are few clubs in the competition that should be seen as the favorites to win the competition.
Real Madrid, Manchester City and Bayern Munich has shown enough strength and consistency to be considered as the three teams in the competition that are strong enough to win the trophy.  Defending champions are the most predicted team to win the competition but I'll be banking in Real Madrid to win the European Cup for the fifteenth time
Predictions about Champions League are never been easy with things are going very interesting in coming days all are going to face the toughest challenges and nothing is clear who is going to have advantage for the jumping into last eight mostly peoples are talking about Manchester City, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich which is ok but ignoring Inter Milan is surely not ideal as they are also having enough potential to stay into hunt for the title and take control until last minute.

Their attack and defense is surely at his best, and they can give shock to any top team in Champions League even they are not considered as the top contender for the title Real Madrid and Manchester City are surely still in the best shape but still we have to wait for the next round before having any solid prediction.
Inter Milan without doubt have been impressive this season both in the UEFA champions league competition and in the Italy Serie A and they possess all the needed quality players to help them win the UEFA champions league trophy and as well as the Italian Serie A title but I didn't include them in my favourite teams to win the UEFA champions league trophy this season because I think they still got a little more to do to earn my recognition as one of the few favorites to win the UEFA champions league competition. Personally, I don't think they rank in the same level as Real Madrid, Manchester City and Bayern Munich.

Real Madrid, Manchester City and Bayern Munich have proven over the past three years of how consistent they can be and with the quality of players in each of the above mentioned three teams, Inter Milan I think have to do more to reach that level if you ask me. Inter Milan are a great club in Europe but until they give me a reason to think otherwise, they're not match to Real Madrid, Manchester City and Bayern Munich

The Champions League competition is highly unpredictable, and I don't believe a winner can be determined at this point. Looking back at how the group stage went for many teams, we can easily see how difficult the game ahead will still be, with no one knowing what the final result of the competition will be. The favourite team was chosen based on their performances in the group stage matches as well as their league performances. That alone does not guarantee that they will win the competition; they must put forth their best effort to prevail and advance to the competition’s finals.
It's too quick to predict which team will win the Champions League this season, in general all the surviving teams still have a chance to win the Champions League. Of the 16 teams that are still surviving, there are several teams that are on the list of top teams. In theory, these teams are considered to be successful in reaching the semifinals, but surprises could happen because in football anything can happen depending on the quality of the game.
Teams that want to win the UCL trophy this season must always use all their energy to always beat the opponents who stand in their way. Until the end of the competition, only one team will remain and that team will receive a prestigious trophy from all European competitions.

If Kevin De Bruyne can now get enough practice, it will also have a deep impact on Manchester City's game. It's impossible to replace someone like him, let alone when he is at his optimum and then gets an injury. He scored a very important goal against Newcastle now and this could give him some valuable momentum for the next few weeks. Haaland benefits a lot from a well playing De Bruyne.

Now Manchester City has one more difficult game against Tottenham in the FA Cup. The next six weeks will be exciting for them and I hope they can keep everyone on board and nobody gets ruled out due to injuries.
Kevin De Bruyne has returned to training and has been given enough time to continue training because he was absent for quite a long time and he has shown that his potential is still good enough for Manchester City and we can see him in his debut this season after suffering an injury even though he doesn't play full time and he is only a substitute player but he has created 1 goal and 2 assists so far and the goal against Newcastle is proof that Kevin De Bruyne is still in good condition, even though he has just recovered from injury.

I think Manchester City can win this match because Tottenham Hotspur condition is not very stable, even though they have to play an away match but if Kevin De Bruyne is there it will not be difficult for Manchester City and it is very likely that Manchester City is the favorite to win this FA Cup match.
This is European Champions League thread, so I did not understand where the discussion of Manchester City and Tottenham is coming from.

However, lending my voice to the existing conversation will have me say that KDB is a very special breed in football. If I say that he is absolutely irreplaceable I am not exaggerating another appointment. I have seen people that we are injured for few months and it will take them another few months for them to return to their original form. But it took Kevin just a few minutes to record a goal and do assist after a whooping 5 months of absenteeism. It is only a class that can do that. That is even another warning to everything including Copenhagen which will be facing Manchester City. The heart of the team is back and we should expect that Haaland's hat-trick should be back as well

Statisticaly it's probably true that they're ideally placed to be in the Champions League final this season and it's also possible that they'll be able to do the same as last season to become champions here again. But other teams are also now looking more prepared to face them. Real Madrid for example, they are not like last season and this season they can show something better than before. Inter Milan who were their opponents in the final last season also showed an improvement which I think they are more ideal than the previous season. And honestly if they are reunited again this season, I think the chances will be the same.
Last season many were disappointed because it turned out that their opponent in the final was Inter Milan, although in the final Inter Milan showed good things, but from there we have seen how much the audience expects Inter Milan.

I personally can't think about Inter reaching the final because after all, at least there is still Bayern Munich which is certainly better than Inter. But indeed, regarding the teams that really deserve to play in the final match are Manchester City and Real Madrid but yes, with the note that Halaand and Bruyne continue to play and do not get injured . Because ya, if Halaand and Bruyne continue to play for the rest of the season then yes, it is very feasible for Manchester City to be able to play in the final match. Likewise with Real Madrid, because they have players like Bellingham and Vinicius who are both still at their best. So yes, Real Madrid and Manchester City are teams that really deserve to play in the Champions League final this season.
It's like last season where no one thought that Inter Milan would be in the final because there were still teams better than them, such as the team you mentioned. But in fact they reached the final last season and although it wasn't expected, last season they also played well in the final and it wasn't so much that Manchester City would win easily.
It becomes more complicated actually, because in this Champions League all teams perform all-out to be able to win, and not infrequently also luck will affect them, it is a factor that on the one hand cannot be predicted, but in reality it really can happen.

De Bruyne return to Pep Guardiola starting XI was welcomed by fans, we have seen his role in the match against Newcastle yesterday. One goal and one assist proves that he is the heart of City game. It must be admitted that the absence of key players automatically makes their chances of winning lower, overall injuries play a big role in affecting the stability of a team.
Yes, it cannot be denied that the presence of this player brings a breath of fresh air to Manchester City which during his absence, Manchester City lost the creator of the attack who could provide mature passes to his teammates to then be converted into a goal. Haaland is also currently injured, but with time still long, I think in the next match if they enter the final then he can play as usual.

Oh yes now Real Madrid is much more promising, they have just defeated Barcelona in the final round with a landslide score too. The interesting thing is how their young player can create a hat trick in this match, and if I'm not mistaken maybe he is the first Brazilian player who can record a hat trick with Real Madrid in El Clasico matches.

It is difficult to win the Champions League if the team does not perform consistently. Arsenal performed well from the start of the season, but their performance slowly began to decline which made many people, including me, doubt Arsenal's ability to win the Champions League trophy. Arteta has succeeded in forming Arsenal into a team capable of providing competition in the EPL, but he has not been able to develop a winning mentality in his players.

Arteta still needs to do a lot to bring Arsenal to win this competition, he must be able to make Arsenal appear consistent by maintaining their best performance in every game. The sharpness of the attack line needs to be improved and they need to always maintain a strong defensive area to maintain their lead. In my opinion, this season's UCL trophy is not for Arsenal because there are still many other strong teams who are ready to eliminate Arsenal from the UCL stage.

Arsenal's performance has been very poor and since Arsenal began playing poor games, I have lost faith in Arteta to win the competition because even in the Premier League, he can't win the title anymore he made a big mistake by allowing Liverpool to lead them in the table, and I do not believe Liverpool will lose any points now in the league because they are in good shape, and only Manchester City can stop them from winning the League Trophy this time.

I believe Arsenal will have a difficult time defeating Porto in the Champions League round of 16, based on how they are performing in their league. Arteta should wake up if he wants to win the competition but I don't think he will win this season he needs to perform better. I believe Real Madrid or Manchester City will meet in the final this time because I don't think Bayern or PSG can fight with Man City and Madrid this season. Barcelona is not in excellent shape and Napoli can defeat them, which is why i didn't list them.

I don’t think that the likelihood of such a final is high - firstly, the teams can meet at earlier stages of the tournament, and secondly, they are not favorites. Take a look at the bookmakers' odds on who will reach the final:

Manchester City 1.96

Fc Bayern Munich 2.58

Real Madrid 3.19

Arsenal 3.68

Now the quotes are a little distorted because City have the easiest opponent of all possible and we can say that City are already in the quarter finals, but in any case they are the favorites of the tournament and in order for us to see the final without them, someone has to knock them out. I would like to believe that someone will succeed.
It is surprising that Arsenal is in fourth place and it seems that the bookies are quite hopeful that Arsenal can reach the final round. I think that compared to Arsenal, the fourth place is more worthy of being occupied by Inter because we know that Inter was able to prove it last season by being in the final, but maybe the bookies saw something else in Arsenal that made them be in that candidate.

For other candidates such as Manchester City, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich, I don't have a problem because these three teams really deserve the highest place, especially with the consistency they display every season, so that is the right assessment. I'm curious as to whether it's possible for Arsenal to reach the final round because I think getting through to the semifinals is quite impossible.
I agree with you that I put Inter Milan in a better place than Arsenal, I don't mean to underestimate Arsenal, but with their recent performance, Inter Milan is more promising than Arsenal. However, that doesn't have to be a problem, because maybe the bookies have other views so they place the clubs that we see today.
More than that, I actually agree with the opportunities given, as a club that holds the status of defending champion, they deserve to have a great opportunity to be in the final. But that doesn't mean they will be able to do it well, the possibility that they will slip up is still open.
Our journey to achieve that is still very long, so now I will enjoy every match more and if I see a good opportunity I will bet there.
Right? In fact, Inter is currently at the top of the standings in the domestic league and isn't it clear that they should be in fourth place and replace Arsenal on the bookies' list and I think we can know that Arsenal won't be able to reach the final round regardless of what they do in the Champions League. The poor record in the domestic league has also tarnished Arsenal's image, which has performed very well since the start of the season and they have lost their balance again when half the season is over. It's not a surprise because it's like a tradition for Arsenal and only they know how to handle it.

That's exactly right because there isn't the slightest problem when the team that has won the Champions League title the most times is the favorite as a candidate and Arsenal is quite far away when compared to a team that is always consistent every season. I don't think Arsenal is capable of doing that and maybe their performance needs to be improved if they intend to go there.

But I wasn't referring to contracts in general, but more to his "golden rule" when he said that he won't stay at one place for more than three years, but he did break that rule for Manchester City.

I think when a coach built a great team and sees how the team thrives and becomes better, it is hard to say goodbye. But what is so impressive about Guardiola is that he built the most dangerous Barcelona there ever was in the history of the club. And then he decided to leave the club, which I still don't understand in some aspects, but I guess he wanted something new, a new challenge.

I think we should hope to see magic from Guardiola in Manchester City because, with the current situation they have in Manchester City, they are not in the good form at all to have a high chance for the Champions League compared to the other teams.
However, Manchester City can decide to put in more energy and try improving the team during the winter.

Injury has to be the only reason as to why Manchester City would lose them form and if Kevin De Bruyne get knocked out of the squad again, there'll be issues because Manchester City would definitely be in a very deep shit they can't solve.
That's the qualities a good player brings into the squad, within the first few minutes into the game the rest was history made, just as Pep Guardiola has said his a damn legend.

The pass, vison to lay that pass for Bobb was awesome, last time I watch stuffs like that in the Premier League was Fabregas launching such for Diego Costa. Bobb also with the fantastic touch and finishing.

They lack this one striker as you guys mentioned and they are playing in the most competitive league in the world. I am sure that Arsenal has a very strong team, but in the Premier League having a very strong team is still no guarantee to win anything there.

I fear that in the Champions League this will become even more evident when they play against teams that have a pure striker. Like Bayern Munich who has Harry Kane or Manchester City has Haaland. Inter Milan has a pure striker. PSG has Mbappe.
Arsenal have always failed to be the best in the Premier League and the last time they were able to be the best was during Arsene Wenger's time. Even though Arsenal has a number of great players in it, because the English league is quite competitive, the quality of the players cannot fully have an impact and this was proven last season where Arsenal lost the opportunity to become champions in the last five matches so Manchester City was again the best.

The Champions League will be much more difficult, apart from having great players, experience and mentality are also quite influential. The opponents they will face in the Champions League will be much better and Arteta may need additional players if he wants to compete there.

Maybe they need some luck to find a pure striker in the next transfer window who is willing to play for Arsenal. They are not the destination that the top top strikers want. Someone like Mbappe would never go there.
There is no such thing as luck in football and I don't see any chance of Arsenal reaching the semi-final stage of the champions league. Mbappe's problems will become clearer when the transfer market closes because so far the rumors circulating about him are completely inaccurate and quite difficult to see the truth.

There are several team that do not perform optimally in domestic competitions but they focus on important competitions such as the UCL, it just that for Arsenal they don't have the opportunity or way of working like this because Arsenal doesn't perform optimally in the Premier League and can't be optimal in the UCL.
I don't know why Arsenal fans can still believe and expect their proud team to win the UCL or Premier League when they know that Arsenal doesn't have that ability.
For the Premier League, maybe in the next few seasons they will be able to win the title but not for the UCL.
In the UCL competition, there are many big and great teams that can always destroy the opposing team, including Arsenal, and many changes still need to be made for Arsenal to reach truly strong condition for the UCL.
But you are right that Arteta does not yet have the experience and greatness like other coaches who succeeded in bringing their team to the UCL like Ancelotti or Pep.
These two team, Real Madrid and Manchester City, will be constant obstacle for Arsenal if they want to be able to compete closely in the UCL.

I just wonder why Arsenal is in fourth place while Inter is probably more worthy than Arsenal.
I never thought that Arsenal would be able to reach the final round while Arsenal's current performance is so bad that it would be impossible to compete with other big clubs.
I'm also a little surprised that currently Manchester City is more favored, whereas in fact for me Real Madrid is also a club that really deserves to get the CL title this season or maybe the bookies just look at yesterday's history which has successfully won the trophy in the Champions League and it looks like Bayern Munich will also be a very strong challenger since the arrival of a very reliable player like Harry Kane.
I had time to imagine what if this season Bayern Munich could surprisingly win the trophy in the Champions League and this would be a new history after Manchester City.

Arteta is on his way to becoming an important coach. Ancelotti proved this to us. Of course, there is a significant difference in age and experience between them. Ancelotti is 64 years old and according to him, Arteta has just started as a manager. To start with, the experience they gained at Arsenal is tremendous. He experiences both the bad and the good, and maybe one day he can be as successful as Ancelotti. Until then, it will be fun to watch Ancelotti, then maybe Arteta can take over.

well, we agree with what you said, Arsenal actually has characteristics in their game. in fact, Arsenal was able to fight City at that time and overthrow them. Game-wise, the Gunners always play good and impressive games. unfortunately, for me, Arsenal lacks one player they can rely on. as you said, adding a pure striker will provide a much more dangerous attack power. but on condition that it is an established, pure sticker. we agree that Arsenal really needs a consistent goal scoring machine, because Nketiah cannot always be expected, especially in crucial matches. as for Gabriel Jesus, this player is a pretty good player. His contribution to Arsenal is very important. but unfortunately, he doesn't always score goals in every match. but however, this player is very clever in opening up opportunities for his teammates.

Well, if Arteta adds one player, namely a pure sticker, at least Arteta has many options in the center forward sector. apart from that, Gabriel Jesus is a versatile player, he can be placed on the wing. I hope Arteta will bring what they need. moreover, so far Arsenal have been linked with several names who play as center forwards. I hope as a Gunners supporter, Arteta will make it happen. well, overall I agree with what you said, especially the point that errors will be corrected. however, on condition that they add one established player in the center forward position. thus, at least Arsenal can compete fiercely in this competition, especially in the Premier League.

Maybe they need some luck to find a pure striker in the next transfer window who is willing to play for Arsenal. They are not the destination that the top top strikers want. Someone like Mbappe would never go there.
